Do as you please. You are free to explore around or do the mission, just know that after this mission you’re at the half way point and certain decisions are important. Based off these decisions some side missions you haven’t completed may auto fail/end too so keep that in mind.

The mission is really easy though, as everyone is saying just run fast and ignore the bs you’ll be faced with.

Dont fight the chimera during the scripted emission, no point, also the emission is as i said scripted so just run to the quest marker

took me many save reloads killing the chimera then dying to the emission till i googled it and realised that youre meant to just run

Yeah it’s a huge map and loads to explore. I did the same prior to this mission (due to bugs) and it set me up pretty well for the next few missions which are pretty much isolated and back to back

You can fix/improve faction rep by helping them in battle, reviving downed npcs, not shooting at them and running. side missions tied to the faction. ive fixed my standing with the prypiat location.

Go to Rostok and get a Bulat, that'll keep you in one piece for the foreseeable future regardless of your artifact luck. Bulat can take you right up to endgame assuming you don't mash your face into every anomaly you run across

There are a multitude of reasons, the main one being that the rise of the new factions led to the already declining old factions to lose almost all relevancy in the zone. 10 years of your men constantly dying will do that.

Ward is, by all means, stronger than both freedom and duty. Air support, seemingly endless leagues of men + outside gear and influence all throughout the zone.

Duty was already a failing faction by clear sky. They weren't ever going to win. The entire point of duty was to show ghat the zone could not be tamed. No matter how hard you strike the zone, it will strike you back with twice the ferocity. It is not a beast to be beaten into submission, it is a force of something greater than nature itself. Duty is a foolish faction.

For story reasons as well, we've had 3 freedumb vs dookie games, it was time for a refresh.

Alternately, if you don't think you can reach Rostock in one piece, head south from Cement Plant (which is roughly east of Scrap Heap) and look for a building that's all girders. Climb up to the top without dying and a Duty SEVA is yours. Conveniently, the technician in Cement Plant can fully upgrade it

It is purely luck. Your detector doesn't even matter, just use what you're comfortable with. All anomalies will spawn specific artifacts based on the anomaly type, but the rarity is entirely random; new ones appear after every emission

You can get a Seva V (freedom) if you go to where the helicopter crash in SOC was and climb up the train management platforms.

You can get a Seva D if you parkour up the psi construction building near concrete plant

You can get a regular SEVA in many ways, but the easiest is to just go through the main story and find one. There is two in Zalissya in a back room during the monolith invasion

Like the big question with mods comes down to sticking power of the game. Like the reason Bethesda games are still around is because they had early mod tools for FO3 and Oblivion, so it was natural for the sequels. Hopefully GSC gives out mod tools for this in a reasonable manner (like 6 months or so) but that is also kind of why Starfield fell off so hard is that they just didn’t offer good mod support.

I hope that a mod kit becomes available, as this is a game I feel I would actually like to try and get in on the modding for (I want to see my .45 ACP Integral 5) or even just play what the community comes up with.

no trust me its not nearly as hard as it is in the easier difficulties at least. if you're referring to the Boars in Cordon that can two shot you then yeah boars are a notoriously hated mutant just because of the sheer amount of damage they can deal and the fact that the game doesnt tell you that they have a massive damage resistance on their head and you're supposed to shoot them in the back, something many many people completely new to STALKER who decided to start with anomaly (me included) got screwed by

once you get decent gear going the game gets far easier and you can tank shots like crazy. unlike in stalker 2 where apparently any gun thats being levitated by a burer apparently turns into gauss rifles and can rip you in seconds in the easiest difficulty while you're in an exoskeleton.

Shotguns are OP in anomaly, hilariously so. get a SPAS 12, buckshot and slug rounds. shotguns deal bonus damage to mutants and you will rip through anything in point blank with the buckshot. a decent aim and slug rounds will then rip through any enemy stalker. there now you have a cheap weapon with available ammo and a low repair cost that can deal with everything till near endgame

Yes, the batteries ran out, so they made new ones out of ground up artifacts, and because they’re weird they just don’t run out of power. So now SIRCAA took that principle, used the artifacts they can just grow, and made new exosuits with ground up artificial artifacts powering them. None of this is contradictory.

you’re right my bad, grrrr i’m angry, grrr. Even with the ai pop in, i’ve only ever had friendlies randomly show up. Enemies approach me sometimes when i’m in buildings but it always felt more like a group just arriving while i was still there. Also makes it fun to devise ways to avoid them or to ambush. I love keeping a single grenade round on me so i can split groups easier, especially on vet (tweaked with configs of course)

Half of Chernobyl is done, and a few buildings infront of it are quiet interesting too and literally finished but empty inside, u can even climb on half of chernobyl roof, their was a helicopter and even enemies spawning here and also roads and all are layed out its insane

@sick gulch Faust and strider are both noontiders, ex-monolith soldiers who are trying to find new places in the zone following their memory wipes. Faust, unlike the other noontiders however, can still remember the voice of the monolith and believes that it made them happier than they are now. Strider believes they should abandon their monolith past since that’s why they’re mostly reclusive anyways, people do hot like the monolith. Monolith is a faction of stalkers who had made it further north into pripyat where they would have their memories wiped and they would have their sentience stripped, turned into killing machines with high pain tolerances and no fear. This group was controlled by the ccon but they worshiped the ccon in its form of the “monolith” or “wishgranter”. Ward is a mercenary military outfit funded by the government to aid SIRCAA, the people who are using the scanners in the zone that most people don’t like. Ward is abrasive and hates most people in the zone so they tend to step over most people. Both SIRCAA and Ward are mostly despised by all stalkers

You need to play with the gamma, contrast, and brightness settings. i would recommend upping them and seein how each one effects you individually. Those settings can be different due to difference in monitors.

Also, the eye adjusting going from differing brightnesses and taking a sec to be able to see thing is from unreal engine 5, i dont think thats going to be unique to stallker, but i coulld be wrong there.

He was caught in a couple emissions and you find out later some more about him but that’s why he’s rather eccentric and a little insane. His belief is that the reason the zone is bad is be ayse there are bad people in the zone. The noosphere is the house of human thought and emotion so the more people come to the zone with the intent to abuse and manipulate it, the more the zone acts as “abusive and manipulative” being. His goal is to reveal the good side of the zone

After beating the game, I strongly believe the devs need to add reloading while running. I don't believe the game is balanced around walking slowly and tanking 10 dnipros and 4 gauss guns while reloading your weapon.
It would also help against the raining boars the game throws at you. Need a better system than slowly strafing 5 charging boars, trying to not get knockdown combo'd. Hopping on boxes and having their AI break is also not very fun.

the current beliefs are a) that this was to misdirect from ||strelok|| or b) that there was a russian intervention plot and this character specifically was an FSB agent working to manipulate the factions, strelok was originally going to be the cause of the monolith resurgence because he’s disillusioned with the people who run the zone currently and how there will always be some power vacuum but changed due to the events involving russia and subsequently the FSB. take that with grains of salt tho

You’re a stalker my friend, the zone is meant to be explored and you can do almost whatever you want. You may hunt artifacts, ambush patrols for their guns and kit to sell, you may do missions or generally just explore and wander around.

just take in the atmosphere, stalker is meant to be played similar to how the lore describes life in the zone, if you aren’t doing main missions, you can take jobs from vendors or artifact hunting. Good pay outs, exploring will also reveal side quests

frankly the best way is outfit identifying, it’s best to get accustomed with the different factions, for now play it safe until you can positively identify them, examine the bodies. Crosshair doesn’t work the greatest because sometimes enemies spawn as friendly

Outside the mainstory, just think of the zone as an exploratory sandbox. You're free to roam in the way you wish to roam. You're considered a loner in the game so you do what you want to do limited only by your own resources and morality.

At the start yes it’s generally good to go in short patrols to find stuff, come back to stash, sell loot and restock then repeat. As you progress you’ll be able to spend more time gathering before coming back and you may also get luckier faster

Some of the bartenders also offer repeatable missions that renew every few days after completion.
Ideally, yeah, you want to get back to a safe area for sleep, but the more you explore, collect, upgrade, the more you get used to playing at night without fear.

You are, for some reason it's bugged for you. Could be your mods, I know some of them break things even if they don't supposedly touch anything besides what you listed. I know some of the loot and movement mods are resulting in NPCs not spawning at all

The quest is still very buggy from what I saw loading up an old. 2 out of 5 loads of it there was a couple of Monolith still getting stuck inside the building. EDIT: I should point out though that this save had mods installed on it that I have since uninstalled
