You could test it by save scumming an artifacts area and keep loading to see which artifacts show up, but that could take hours to see if one spawns, but if it doesn't it's probably fine to use the console

most people use EVA foam for cosplay, sturdy, light, you can cut it to any shape you want

You're right but Exo is nothing more than a frame and a backpack. You COULD make the frame out of the foam but I'm not 100% sure it'd be sturdy enough given that the frame of an exo is actually fairly thin facilitating the need for something stronger than that.
It could work for other stuff though, like the backpack.

Dont think of EVA foam like its normal packing foam, its closer to being a dense polymer. You can make any hinge points by 3d printing them out of plastic

And with how many people seem to be into DIY it's not out of the question you can get it done fairly cheaply too. Had a guy at Uni I went to make a working exo built without access to an extensive workshop. It was his part of his Engineering degree thesis.

Also, if you have an access to a metal workshop, you have access to an electrical workshop in your town too. Electrical workshops have 3d printers, theyre insanely useful for electrical work

I've been lucky with my bugs, tho I did have one with final boss that got fixed. As for crashes only thing I have is after playing for say 4 hours straight the game will drop frames and eventually crash then be fine when relaunched. Think that was patched tho idk. I also struggled for a while with pripyat as the vendor kept crashing me but that came down to a duplicated file which I just had to delete both and reverify files and everyhting fixed. So I been pretty lucky with mods and withing the first week I already had about 40 hour in game 😅 😅 😅 point being I been lucky with bugs. The funniest was enemies doing summersaults and spinning their way to space

Most of the time NPCs Block the Doors and think the Doors are bugged, make sure it REALLY doesnt Open by itself, If it DOESNT Open at all even when pressing anything or doing anything "Locked" shouldve Said on the Doors...

I personally never Had Problems with Doors unless a npc blocked it personally with now around 80 hours

i ended up turning HDR off, but my monitor isnt a true HDR, its VGA.

my UI was flickering something chronic too, as well as sometimes the edges around your journal (and only the journal, didnt happen with map or PDA buttons) would flicker / be black and white when i turned it on, which i assumed was because i was using gsync with my gsync compatible monitor, but turning off HDR fixed that too so iunno

i did see somewhere, it was mentioned you could flip aspect ratio back and forth to auto, in combination with turning your display fullscreen/windowed, and that would fix the flickering and other issues - i didnt try it myself, however, so cant validate

It fails if you go to Rostok, that I know at least as mine did. I loaded a save. Then I made a hard save to return to and then I went to Zalissya and did the optionals and paid off the guard then sprinted to the guy that runs the bar to get the dialogue as if I had done it without killing them before they keeled over in the doorway.

I've pretty much explored all areas, where main scenario previously sent me while avoiding going back to Lesser to not trigger the Zalissiya event. Your method would work but is the trader gonna be replaced by someone else if OG one dies? I also heard that even if you ignore the whole NPCs dying at the door thing, you can't complete this mission as it bugs out again at a later stage

there is basically no downsides, although the only exo that you can realistically get before you naturally start finding them in the world or in traders doesn't let you sprint or have an upgrade to let you sprint. pre patch their repair costs used to be insane (quarter million roubles to repair from 60% on veteran) but now the repairs are a lot more realistic

I am curious, in the trilogy the brain scorcher stopped people from getting to far north of the zone or going through the red forest and Freedom had its army warehouse base nearby and held the barrier, now that the map seems to have changed around and more accurate to the RL Zone. Rostok seems to be north of the brain scorcher now and same with the truck graveyard. Anyone know what that means for the canon of the brainscorcher since a lot of settlements are now north of it?

Hello, I return to say that I'm still bugged in regards to Zalissya, and I think my issue is just that Monolith doesn't spawn at all but the friendly NPCs are out and the door is completely locked so I can't talk to Gaffer. I’m simple terms it was a mod alongside anomaly that combined elements of the trilogy and fleshed out features and made it a fair bit more hardcore. Think tarkov style features added to stalker.

Gamma/anomaly are effectively like the DayZ Arma 2 mod for stalker.

It focues on survival and crafting aspects. Some of the changes it introduces are pretty controversial - such as traders not selling/buying weapons/gear and techs not fixing your stuff (have to find tools and do it yourself).

the funniest thing about the static spawns are that sometimes they'll be one of the bandit hit squads that never stop spawning. the game does a whole thing with restricting who can get to pripyat, saying it's too dangerous and all that but every 5-10 minutes you will fight random gangsters with sawed off shotguns/pistols just waiting for you outside of the dungeon you cleared

it wont work the same way as the original a-life just because of the way they went about game development within UE5. If you for example, expand the radius of A-Life so events and enemies spawn dynamically at greater distances, it TANKS fps.

I kinda noticed that NPCs has some insane hearing, like, really insane.

There are some quirks that don't make sense, like when throwing a bolt their attention will be targeted at you, but in general stealth is extremely hard not because they have can see you through walls but because sometimes they have superman hearing.

The electric one is tricky, i learned how it works on a certain anomaly spot.

If you have any sort of artifacts on your belt (Or only the weird ball i think) the electric ball will follow you and hit you constantly.

If there is an artifact near the ball and you pick it up it will b-line towards you like there is no tomorrow.

Artifacts are your best bet on it, and anomalies too.

For carry weight bring a few weight-improving artifacts for bad moments and if anything just toss grenades as you move.

And if you are close to anomalous spots then get on top of something and watch the things try to hide but have nowhere to go and hit a few anomalies along the way.

bascially u get to a certain rock before night hits and if it spawns it'll literally spawn at your feet, if it doesn't, reload save and try again. they said its like a 1 in 4 chance it'll spawn there. getting to the place before night hits lets you avoid all the other BS of that arch anomaly field. @bronze hemlock it also has some rad healing/resist. not sure how strong. Rad "resist" on a artifact is not actually resistance, it increases the rate you remove rads from your body naturally

The game is certainly very buggy and badly optmized at this launch, but ngl i am enjoying it a lot and patches are coming constantly.

About A-Life, if you don't know it is what makes Stalker, Stalker. It simulates the world around you without you having the need to load in the areas and provides a lot of ambience. Y'know those moments in games where there is gunshots in the vinicity and you are able to hear things around you? In most games it is ambience but with A-Life it's actual things that is happening around you and you can pay these events a visit.

A group of stalkers you traded with or did a quest with might be found dead a couple of KM away because of a bloodsucker, creatures around you will constantly enter turf wars and Stalkers might be sneaking about to perform their duties.

For now A-Life is disabled for performance issues, but their main priority is fixing both of these and the quest bugs at the moment.

whether you believe it or not, unreal engine is not ironed out and has a ton of issues, it’s why most of these issues on pc come from the cpu and not gpu, it’s just not great

UE5 is a great engine BUT and here is the but, it needs ALOT of fine tuning to be good, if your just using the stock modules it has which are great, your going to run into problems, as they all need fine tuning specific for the game they are being used in. Stalker 2 seems to lack most of that fine tuning atm, and I feel its because MS bankrolled the game, and forced GSC to release it early as the Xbox has no games of value on it anymore really.

Most people will take the easiest path thru a game they can. if you can go get endgame gear especially in a game like stalker 2 where gear has CLEAR tiers of power, they going to go get the top tier they can instead of struggle if you allow them to do so. Stalker 2 has the same issues the first game has, the guns have a clear tier system, and once you get the higher tier all the lower ones are garbage basically. This was diff in CoP, in CoP almost any gun was viable at endgame as you'd get toolkits to unlock more upgrades, so became more of "what gun do you like and wanna spent the time to max out" over "get this gun thats best in the tier and thats all" Most of the weapon upgrades in stalker 2 have very minimal effect on its performance, same for armor.

I really like this system in CoP. SoC mods were also created to introduce technicians and the ability to upgrade weapons. This doesn't change the fact that you could have beaten the game with the starting rifle found in the trash can on Cordon

Its mostly the penetration stat, as thats locked to the gun. like Dnipro is basically a superior ak74 because its penetration stat is 3 instead of 1. Even if it does about the same damage per shot, 3 pen means you can now body shot alot of the npcs in a couple shots, compared to 1 pen, where your basically shooting airsoft bb's at their body. It also efefcts headshots, the Ak74 will 1-3 headshot most normal humans, Dnipro is 1 shot 1 kill for all but the endgame dudes in exosuits,.

Yeah, and because of that mechanic there is a clear locked in tier system to the guns, since penetration is locked to the gun itself and not the ammo. also ap ammo is +30% penetration, so its basically nearly pointless unless the gun has 3.1 penetration. as 30% of that will knock it to 4. What I don't know is if any extra penetration ABOVE the targets armor resist adds a damage bonus to the shot or not. like a flesh has 1 armor, a gunw ith 1 penetration will do full damage to it, but will the ap ammo that adds 0.3 more pen add a damage bonus to the shots, same if the gun has 2 pen or more base? as if not, your just causing more wear and tear on your gun for no benefit.

Its what I was talking about with the game having alot of balance issues, mutants are way to tanky compared to previous games. older games 2 grenades would kill a pseudogiant usually, stalker 2? prob need 30-50. even a boar can survive 3 grenades to its face before they nerfed their hp by prob half. In old games a well placed grenade could kill a entire pack of boars. Blood suckers were 1-2 buckshot shells int he older games, or like 1 slug, not this 8-10 shell crap in stalker 2.

Yeah thats also totally backwards, Skif's pistol with that weak ass ammo it uses does way more per shot than any of the assault rifles. like 50%+ more per shot. humans that take 2-3 shots to dome with the ak74 only take 1 to dome with the ptm pistol even though its far weaker of a ammo type. @undone ore yeah I need to look into it, as the current gun balance is a clown show, as are the mutants when compared to the older games.

Its works for me to find a place to funnel them into a straight line, put my back against a wall to stop them going behind you then just unload when you see the glimmer. But shotguns in my opinion work the best against bloodsuckers.

The Ai prob doesn't even register bushes and such existing, thats how they can laser beam you thru them with 100% accuarcy, the bushes etc only harm the player but do not impact the Ai at all, as its basically not there for the Ai. Meanwhile they can laser beam you thru trees and 50 meters of bushes, while you can't even see where they are to fire back because they are hidden behind all the bushes. If I get in a fire fight in the open, I basically sprint to find cover, as otherwise its just target pratice for the enemies as you cannot see them to fire back.

The saiga-12 I found was the best weapon in general. Great against all mutants (especially bloodsuckers because you can kill them in one rotation) and even exo-suits since you can magdump them before they react.

gosh i love the storytelling in this. Found a stalker defending himself against monolith but when i wandered in he began ti shoot me. I tried again and once again he shot me so i killed him and took his pda. You find out he was out hunting with his uncle and another stalker and they both witnessed the stalker turn right there into a monolithian. He run for cover and locked himself in with his uncle but when he asked his uncle what’s happening, his uncle began ti chant. So having seen several stalkers turn into monolith, he started to attack me thinking I too was someone who had turned. Also the guy who locks himself and a friend in a room to hide from an emission but when they start to hear banging, they refuse to let a guy in. As you read the messages he sends, he comments that he realizes everytime he sends a message, the pda of the guy outside beeps. And he just apologizes and you find him dead next to a shotgun. small stuff so good

The APSB is probably the most busted gun in the game, penetration is by far the most important stat on a gun, for some reason both the Rhino and APSB have more than more than any rifle, AP ammo just modifies the penetration of the firing gun by +30%, and AP ammo for the APSB is sold early in the game for dirt cheap.

The annoying part is that some blueprints are in stashes that are only accessible during specific main quest areas that are only open for that quest and not after.

I did loot lots of them, but I only got a couple items that were worth it.

stashes are SUPER good, you just need to hit the actual marked stashes, random bags you find arent always actual stashes

Also, if you hit a stash and it seems like its super underwhelming, odds are you havent found the main item. If there isnt a blueprint in the stash, theres probably an item very near, like a gun or an armour. Got me many full condition armours and weapons this way, some uniques. Rocked the Seva i found for half the game, havent swapped it out

i dont know if every marked stash has an item of importance, but id put it at least 90% of them

this way well be the case, cause every stash looking bag or chest i found without a marker has been trash

but 90% of marked ones had either a gun, an armour or a schematic, or even a combo of them

whenever i head anywhere i always mark the stashes on the way and loot them so ive looted many many stashes

I tried going back to earlier saves when I hit the emission bug, but without fail emissions would start within 10 minutes of trying it. So I stopped trying to bypass it and just shut down the game until a patch comes out.. Weird Bolt started as an artifact and became an RL anomaly lol
