yup. its an in joke with my other half and our dog (who's called bean)
and the hexagons on the white plate are just because I like hexagons 😂
Didn't look at the prices of laser cutting it to be honest. Doing it as a 2 layer pcb though was cheap enough for my budget compared to all the other components on it so just did it via JLC.
PCB layout and 3D Renders
nice work!
that was fast!!
haha. I started designing this on new years eve, over various iterations and waiting for parts to arrive from aliexpress before continuing on things, I've finally got to the point where the keyboard scanning is now nice and fast.
where'd you make/get those schmick keycaps?
i think they call them 'pudding' style
I'm also open for your footprint library (or pcb file)
https://www.customkeycaps.co.uk/products/orange-pudding-keycaps essentially mixed a couple of different sets
Pudding Keycaps. Backlit Keycaps (KEYCAPS ONLY). RGB shines through the legends and sides of keycaps. Coloured tops. Frosted sides. Compatible with any Cherry MX style switch or an equivalent. If your keyboard is not a standard layout some keycaps will not fit. If there is a keyboard shown with these keycaps on IT DOES
That's the kicad archive for it. Likely you'll find what you need in there in terms of footprints and stuff. It mixes and matches ebastler's library, the perigoso library, and my own custom one for putting the keycaps on (just found a generic Cherry style keycap set for a model)
@radiant nymph What micro and LCD did you use?
Xiao rp2040, and https://www.adafruit.com/product/4383
Nice, thanks
Actually I lie, if was the waveshare version of the rp2040 zero board. Had a couple more IO than the Xiao variant. Same gist though.
I see
