Nerf for Shield and fog seems to be the biggest requests for both sides. For fog - Slowly decrease the radius of the fog after it was activated until it disappears (if you activate it when not fully charged then it can either be a smaller cloud or reduce radius quicker). For shield Option 1) The closer units are to the shield the greater effect vs the further away the less effective the shield is Option 2) when first activated it is the strongest and slowly decreases in efficiency the longer units are shielded and that counts for other shields activating too (i.e. units would regenerate their ability to be shielded over time but if they are constantly shielded it decreases effect significantly)

Very hard to implement
Very difficult and doesnt worth it
The easy solution is to decrease the effectiveness of shield without any special implementation but all the confed players would cry so trying to suggest other solutions
I mean, some of them are still crying now because Solaris doesn't have AA
