Love this idea, would definitely be helpful.
That sounds like an amazing idea! I know a lot of streamers in the community would love that as a resource!!!
i have so much trouble knowing when someone buys my coins, this would be so helpful
Yes please! I can't tell you how many times I have yelled "who just did what?!!!! Who's touching buttons!?" I would LOVE to be able to see the purchases in chat as I always have been able to with any captain SR purchases. Great idea!
Definitely something we can consider adding in the future. In fact, we could also maybe add the options to post a message for the start and end of races in chat. These options could be configured in the Marbles section of the Captain Hub where you also manage your overlay. We'd need to chat about this with the Marbles team.
In the meantime, just making sure you also know about the Captain.tv Activity Feed! This tool is available in the Captain Hub and shows all purchases across Captain.tv games and the Marbles Creator Code store that supported you as a streamer. You'll never miss who supported you while you're LIVE if you add the feed to your OBS as a panel. Many streamers also like to add it to a OBS scene so they can look at the feed together with their viewers.
Great Idea
This is something that has been needed for a long time. Most of use use a system like OBS this means the window with the overlay that shows who has purchased what is very very small and often unreadable wail streaming making it imposable to thank people in real time. I also cannot check who gifted until after stream because opening another program wail I stream will very likely kill my computer. I know new computer is the answerer to that problem but that is a lot of money just to be able to thank people for using my code to make a purchases. I would love to see this idea brought to life.
I do know about the activity feed, but honestly it really isn't that great or fit for our purpose.
The reason I've requested this is because I've already built a tool for streamer bot that allows us to have proper custom alerts when people purchase units and I would like to do the same for marbles coins.
The Captain Hub is used to get your Activity Feed link, but you don't need to keep the Captain Hub open to view the feed. You can add the feed to your OBS which is already running as either a panel or a browser source in a scene.
For streamers who are concerned about missing purchase alerts in the overlay and not being able to properly recognize and thank their supporters, the Activity Feed was designed exactly for that.
I'm not saying we won't consider adding Twitch chat alerts for Marbles Creator Code Store purchases because that is definitely an extra value addition that I'd also love to see. But even chat messages are fleeting and can be missed, especially in a game like Marbles where chat text flies by with people spamming !play. The Activity Feed can be reviewed for recent events at any time privately by the streamer in an OBS panel or publicly with their audience in an OBS scene.
I did not know I could do that thank you
I know personally I filter out the play messages and most single emote chat plays so my chat doesn't fly by, but as I said in my previous message I can use the chat alert to make on stream alerts that are fully customisable. We have some awesome coders in the marble community who have built some amazing tools for things already, so I'm basically just looking for the bad info to start building tools but it requires the trigger from somewhere and the chat message is the most simple thing to ask for since it already existed for Sr skin purchases.
I do appreciate you taking the time to explain the options for the activity feed to people who might not have known about it though. 🙂
So, just wanna follow up on this? It's been a while and still really interested in getting this feature added if possible.
