I can interact with this mage but it's not actually in the game! I placed with it and now im in trouble for placing in the do not place markers 😦

There are several things that can cause similar issues. Most common reason from my experience is backing out of a battle while units and skins are still loading. I think this causes the units to continue to load, then linger across battles and not unload properly.
- If you are using desktop web browser version, reload.
- If you are using desktop standalone client, go to settings, scroll down, click Clear Cache.
If you click on the fake unit, the info window has garbled info and will lock up forcing you to reload. And if you are using the desktop client, you will have to close entirely and reopen.
