I think it would be helpful for viewers, to get a message explaining why they were banned. I just got banned by a captain that I had gold loyalty with for many events in a row, I had lurked in his stream, and had even had a 1/2 hour conversation with him the day before, about steam pirates. It was a respectful conversation where I asked for his option. I made an effort to follow plans. I really have no idea why I was banned. They are doing offline battles, so I can't ask them. Would be helpful if there was a pop-up when a captain bans someone, and they could check a box for "didn't follow markers" or "placed a saint" or some other common reason why they are banning a viewer. Then when the viewer opens their "select a captain" screen, they get notified that one of their favorited captains banned them, and for what reason. I have played Stream Raiders for a while now, have many multiple max level units, have bought skins for myself and others, but being banned multiple times by multiple streams without being told why, is making me want to quit Stream Raiders.

I feel for you. I allway's stream my battles and nobody present will ever get banned. Those not present will be messaged over twitch. Not knowing what your doing wrong is a terrible intoduction to this game. You are invited. I love to explain and help new players to get beter.

i'm one of the few captains that believes, ban is an invitation to stream? I'm sorry to hear what happened to you but the best way to learn about the reason, as much salty as it can be, is to go to the streamer directly and ask for the reason, and eventually get an unban? Also, you may want to verify if the ban was meant. It happened to me before, to have missclicked a person. The captain maybe was trying to ban someone else and mistakenly clicked on your name as he scrolled up/down. I know for experience since this happened to me so, my best advice is to ask them directly. Communication is the basic of captain-placer relationship in SR so I highly suggest you to do so. And, mistakes/missclicks are also a thing, so yeah, you really want to check on with them. Good luck!

Thanks, I have talked to the 4 or so streamers who banned me, they all gave me a reason, ranging from "you reminded me to start my battle, after I didn't start it for 15+ minutes, too many times" to "You are causing me to upscale with me when you place with me, and then leave due to not having loyalty" to "you placed a saint, and I hate saints" to this most recent one of "You didn't follow the markers," even though I did, and we had a 1/2 hour conversation the day before I was banned and he didn't say anything about him thinking of banning me, due to not follow markers. Like I said, I have skins from people who banned me, I have had gold loyalty with people for many events in a row and still get banned. At this point, I think it is a power trip. No point in arguing with these people. They don't want me to place with them, so I wont. I am not going to name and shame, but yeah for a game that is dying, this is not how you grow a community.

dont give them time, they sound like jerks. yeah having a reason for a ban sounds nice but if i got banned i would just move on and forget about them. there are 1,000s (now maybe 100s) of captains out there. pick one that isnt so anal about small details.

Well, I have an ulterior motive. I am hoping that @dawn drum and Toko will play SWTOR if I place with them enough. It is a long shot, but I'm taking it. LUL

People are different, and they do things the way they think the game should be done. Just find a captain that does things the way you like it. There are a lot of us out there and we just wanna play the game we luv 😄

ouch XD imagine starting a battle when the time run to 0 xD ahaha or even 5 mins early (wait! when my pc crashed i didn't start it for 10 mins cause pc was rebooting .... oops 🤣 ) welp, some people take it with irony others gets mad at being reprimanded it's really up to us who we choose to place for in the end. As for scales......why? they dunno we can scale down by throwing one map by seeing how many units we had in average between 2-3 battles? it won't hurt anyone to scale down once and then continue back from a scale. 🤔

The only captain I was ever banned from, I followed markers, first time placing with them through the Discover tab, less than 10 seconds later they disappear from my captain slot. Not knowing what happened, figuring it was a glitch, I searched for the captain, didn't appear in the list, as if they never existed in the first place. Never having been banned before, I was so confused. They were a fairly well known captain too, so having them suddenly not exist was the weirdest thing. 😅 found the stream on Twitch, by that point it was their next battle and they said they had to do some "moderation" last battle. At that point, I just marked their Twitch as "Not Interested" so it wouldn't show anymore in my recommended (since there was no point in watching their stream going forward). The only conclusion I could come to was that the battle was intended to be a private run, and they forgot to enable codes, and just opted to ban any placers that weren't invited

Did they ever fix the bug where the captain would still eat a slot on the "search for captains" area, if you had favorited them and they ban you? That was very annoying.
