Suspiciously low I would say
Very suspicious, he says he's selling for his brother, and he also has a 4090 for $1200
Def suspicious
Re: LTT screwdriver - https://youtu.be/845HUaWYSQA?si=0pPU1EKSd853_Si7
Brands: LTT, PB Swiss, Snap On, Wera, GearWrench, Williams, Irwin, Megapro, Milwaukee, Klein Tools, Husky, Lenox, SATA and Black+Decker. Ratcheting screwdrivers compared for efficiency, precision, and durability. Tests include working arc swing, ratchet back drag, magnet strength, bit retention strength, build quality (shaft wobble), shaft rota...
TL:DW - It's an excellent screwdriver with tight tolerances and the best ratchet he tested. It's weak when doing high force work, but it's intended for electronics use so it fits the use case. Not recommended for automotive work, construction, etc.
Use Theo join to purchase it

Just buy $250 worth of stuff to get free shipping, ez gg
I own a ltt screwdriver thing is super nice
https://www.facebook.com/share/1XweL2KxMq/?mibextid=79PoIi
anyone need an 18tb HDD for $149
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
actually might just snag screwdriver on impulse. needed compact but actually decent screwdriver anyway
Is the screwdriver actually that good
I like it
Magnet is strong as heck maybe a little too strong tbh and it’s a great fidget toy
is that open box 4070 worth over a 16gbvram 4060?
im debating options rn and nvidia seems like a basis
The 16gb 4060Ti is like the worst value new GPU on the market rn
Anything is better than that
7700XT, 7800XT, 6800XT all brand new, compete with that 4070 deal tho
lol just wanted to ask, i dont know why they offer a 16gb 4060 in the first place
thanks
That's some solid girlmaths right there
One tech youtuber started a panic in Early 2023 and the result was a snap decision release of a gpu that shouldn't exist
really
Everyone was panicking "GPUs won't have enough vram to run games in a year!" and buying high vram count cards to futureproof
wasnt there a 3060ti with 16gb too?
Same dude reversed his comments a couple months ago and finally admitted 8gb was plenty for 1080p
He started the whole dumb trend
i asked someone once and they said just get as much vram as possible
The 4060 Ti 16GB maxes out vram usage btw at about 12 and a bit
It doesn't have the bandwidth to run 16
In like, anything that makes sense

So you actually get a 4060 Ti 13GB
Ya like the demon that comes with the drag kit and no crew on hand

Spend 40 minutes to do a 1 mile drag run like Richard Hammond cos you gotta change the filter, ecu, drag tires, weight reduction
Then put it all back together after
Real
If you ask me, Nvidia has 1 card worth buying rn
And even then it's a little sketch
If you specifically want Nvidia tho, 4070 Super
and then i fell into a rabithole
360 for a 7700XT is a good price
That's also great
if it goes back or even cheaper, snagging
This will be one of the best overall to buy rn
Ironic this
The mid range for AMD is overall the best value
7800XT/7900GRE/7900XT
7700XT as of recent as well
Black Friday offer good #### please
We're pretty much there rn so don't wait too long
A lot of the sales are already underway
ive waited this long already
i can wait a bit longer. My wallet is already suffering from my peripheral addiction
i havent quite found a 7800xt yet for te 430 price
We are at the foot of a new GPU gen too, before everything goes up a little again this will be a good time
440
Close
Lol
Homework?
Actually
Scratch that
v
oh!
eh
KEEB
where
Put it this way
should I!?!?
7800XT is like
8%?
better
At most
So this is about, 8% cheaper than 430

Ah?
Ahh?
RDNA 2 has had good drivers since early 2023 as well
So I can vouch this pick
Only thing you need to remember is the card is a lil' bit noisy at times
But it works well
im watching comparisons and all I see is like a 2fps difference
Ya
SCREW IT
6800XT is really close
I GOT MY REFUND CHECK
💀
Whoa
👀
It's back
Ye
hu
2022's best sale was this exactly
oh forgot this existed
For a long time there we only recommended this card to so many people
It was ridiculously well priced
You'd later have the 4070 Ti and 7900XT out
But this would still beat both in value
nah im getting that 6800xt
To me that 6800XT matches that value
I would yeah
Then scrounge up a 7500F build to go with it
but imma do the same stingy spending for everything else too
Follow my list
One sec
Either
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, Corsair 2000D AIRFLOW Mini ITX Tower
Orrrr
Wait
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
That
CPU via ali express
um
That'll do most of all 1440p games
Yea?
i mean ive bought furniture from there
I know a lot of people that got theirs
but a CPU???
oh my god they have tons of em
zach's computer is slow
bruh specifically from aliexpress
Yup
thats hilarious to me
You save like $60 for the same cpu doing it
good to know. seems sketchy but i dig it
The only way you can match that is with a newegg or MC bundle
Ya it does you're right
It just takes a while
But they've sold many of them from specifically there lol
It's just a 7600X but budget edition
Like the KF of an Intel CPU but bought from strange Chinese shop

Idk when you're able to jump on any of this but the sooner you manage it from now the better
Cos now's a really good time of year for pc building
@cinder kiln
There’s a cool gpu bracket going on sale tomorrow that’s argb and shows pc temp
Imma grab it
yo definitely send it if it's gonna be more than 20% off
Currently it’s $22
Check this out on @Newegg:ARGB GPU Support Bracket, Universal GPU Bracket with Temperature Display, Graphics Video Card Brace with Height Adjustable https://www.newegg.com/p/1DW-00M6-00001?Item=9SIBT2UKA83548&tpk=1
If it goes below $20 that’s hell of a deal
I personally wouldn't purchase an AliExpress CPU
I have done so previously and it was fine. It's the same as any other marketplace, watch out for bad sellers. The difference is that Ali actually removes scam listings, unlike scamazon.
heard only bad things from my friends who bought off it, but they prob got a scam listed product or smth so I'm not one to judge
and yea amazon is not good right now with all of the scam listings, lots of ppl getting fked over if they don't check on those things
i have a question, why is 3600mhz model cheaper than 3200 one?
Ddr4 is one generation behind by now so prices can be weird in general, and the latency on the 3600 kit makes it roughly equivalent in terms of general performance, although infinity fabric would benefit from higher ram freq
Also please don't buy vengeance ddr4
Single most doa/faulty ram part in all of PC history that wasn't put to a recall I swear
I must have gotten lucky with my 4x8gb 3600mhz cl16 kit. Never had an issue with it on my old build 😅
That's not one of the cursed SKUs so yeah
Not saying it affects everyone
The "It doesn't affect me" comment means nothing compared to the mountains of Vengeance DDR4 kits me and many others I've seen had to diagnose as faulty, doa, or plain old unstable out of the box
It is, by far, the most unreliable pc product I've dealt with
My own kit never had issues
I actually had 2 kits of M8E Vengeance
But that still doesn't compare
Compared to literally any other brand selling the same stuff?

I think Corsair is just bad at it
Buildzoid has agreed with this publicly
It's a "Cursed" sku
You can even get kits that are mislabelled versions that use mixed chips
So they will never work
Not to mention I haven't even begun to talk about the iCue problems involved as well
Ram not being detected 50% of the time
Settings not applying to 1 or more sticks
Constant bloody headache
That just validates my point more though cos I still see it come up often
Once in a blue moon I might get another brand like G.Skill
Or something much rarer like SP
SP sell a LOT too
Corsair is also the only brand with the history of locking the PMIC on DDR5
So you can't even use normal voltages on some of their DDR5 kits
One's marked with a C rather than an X in the SKU part code are susceptible to this issue
You can't unlock them so you are bound to <1.435V VDD
Which many XMP's, or even OC can't work properly even on AM5
Good kits
okay so I need to get parts for a desktop that would be an upgrade from a 1080 graphic card laptop. Not trying to break bank, but would like it to be in a good place for upgrading.
My lovely masterminds, how much would something like that estimated cost? Using deals to my advantage hopefully LOL
$800 gets you a solid PC with room to upgrade in the future
$600 gets you something that can still play current games, but don't expect too much for the future (3+ years)
$1000 gets you 1440p high settings without upscaling
hmmm, what kinda build we looking at for $800?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600KF, Fractal Design Pop Air RGB ATX Mid Tower
Future upgrades to this could be CPU to a 14600K (don't go higher tier than that) and/or a GPU of your choice up to about a 4070 ti without worrying about bottlenecking or a new PSU
is this.. graphics card good? I havnt seen PowerCooler before
They're primarily an AMD brand, yes they're good
ohhhh okay. I dont keep up with AMD cards at all so that makes sense
So that card is similar to the 3070 from the looks of it on google?
thoughts on this ?
Sometimes better depending on the game
sheesh W
It'll get the job done
Well if thats what I should get for that budget, thats what ill roll with. thank ya!
Wow, yet another good deal in #tech-deals by a green role
Genuinely impressed. Good find @lean briar
Normally like $250 so $153.99 is pretty good. Just get these instead of the AirPods 4
Thanks
Mini LED Local Dimming: The KOORUI 27 inch White Gaming Monitor features a Mini-LED VA panel with 384 Local Dimming Zones, which can achieve 550cd/㎡ peak brightness and a higher dynamic range HDR1000 so that the computer screen can restore the deepest blacks and brightest whites. The color is mor...
yoooo
How reputable is Koorui though? I feel like they're kinda underdog-ish but not many people know about them
idk though
It's a good monitor
They have one of the best sub $150 1080p panels
Personally I'd take the acer p3 at $80 cheaper, but if you want specifically 240hz that's the only mini led option
Man I wish I had money
I don't think I have the GPU for 1440p 240 Hz rn, especially given the amount of money I currently have
Thanks but the moment will come. At least I know this exists
$50 g502 lightspeed?
https://sellout.woot.com/offers/logitech-logitech-g502-logitech-g502-lightspeed-wirel-1?ref=mwj_sh_cp_78_bs
ehhh
I think it's normally at that price now, is it not?
Also, it'll start bounce clicking in about half a year anyways lol
Mine took 9 months and it was heavily abused while I played ESO constantly. I was able to fix it for another 3 months but got it warrantied when it happened again.
didnt they fix that issue on the newer models
Are there any good deals out for tvs? I just don’t know what to look for when it comes to tvs
There’s the $228 65” 4k tv at Walmart lol
Too should be solid
it’s 8 GB compared to the bottom one which is 12 GB, idk which one i should get for performance
top one is TI but the bottom one isn’t
Is this cad or usd
Oh usd
Thats horrible pricing tho
3060 tis should be in the $180-220 range
Id try r/hardwareswap or ebay if there's nothing better priced on fbm
eh i couldn’t find anything else
Evga damn
that one is 8 gb
And also 30% better than the 3060
the other one that was up here is 12 gb
A gpu with more vram would be nice, but not by sacrificing that much performance
but wouldn’t less vram be worse for vr?
The 3080 12gb was just $340 from zotac, and has gone in and out of stock
Maybe, but the drop in performance would be just as noticeable. You could also consider a 7700xt
I know rdna1 and 2 had issues with vr, I believe driver updates helped with rdna2 but I'm not sure how it holds up against nvidia still. Rdna3, 7000 series I've been told doesn't have any major issues with vr
isn’t that a $200 dollar difference though? or is it around the same used
It's a step up in price, but
https://www.ebay.com/itm/196855867314?
7700xt is $370 atm new
It was recently down to $340
There could be some sales tmrw, over the weekend or on Monday (or anytime really, but obviously black Friday and cyber monday)
i’ll have to see if there’s gonna be anything around the 7700xt that’s a little cheaper when cyber monday comes around
$347
black friday bacca is about to go crazy
Bacca is always crazy
He sold his soul to the tech deals long ago
not really a tech deal but wondering what desk measurements are yall rocking
i don’t want a desk too small or too huge
And I left looking for deals because of him
I just checking if bacca shared something or not that's it
Two part L shaped 96"x24" and 72"x24" made from butcher block workbench tops. My previous desk was 60"x24" and fit two monitors with room to spare.
sickk
This doesn't show up as $110 for me. Is it just something on my end or?
Looks like they had the wrong price set for the preorder and it's been corrected to 189.99
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-gv-n4060aero-oc-8gd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4060-8gb-gddr6/p/14-932-627?Item=14-932-627&cm_sp=product-_-from-price-options was snooping around newegg and found this. Worth it?
eek ok
how come?
oh well i did find this
wait one sec oops
ah crap i lost the link
the rest of my build is white, so i might as well for the aesthetic
plus ive been dreading a vr ready gpu for a long time and nows my chance so
an upgrade after like 2 years from a 1050
should i wait until cyber monday to buy it?
or i could get a used option for like 310 USD
not sure if that answers my question
this one
specifically
should i wait until cyber monday? or will the price change at all
alr
im impatient 😂
i might as well
There was cheaper 7600x combos at newegg few weeks ago but still this one isn't that bad
Yeah . They had teamgroup 6400mhz rgb ram instead. This ram have bad Samsung chips which isn't OCable
Oh ssd is better tho .they had nv3 instead
btw, walmart z790 coupon gone a couple hours ago. Now it's just $200ish like newegg.com
Probably was listing error . They put 200-50 instead 250-50
Z790 mobos are cheap nowadays so no big deal
@azure pond the first link is OOS
im tryna get my hands on a Phanteks NV9 case (white), if anyone sees any good deals lmk
With the Phanteks NV9 case, there is no limit on what gaming PC you could build. The enlarged size in comparison to previous models allows the NV9 to facilitate larger hardware, such as a 280mm wide E-ATX motherboard, or a powerful 490mm long GPU. What’s more, you can show off your high-end components in style, as the

Reviews look rough
Yeah.
Hello, I heard that its a good idea to buy new PC in like January but that it can be a good idea to pick some parts for cyber monday. Thoughts pls?
Depends on what you’re looking for. And your budget.
I was thinking of getting like a strong-er gaming set up that can last a while? I was thinking between 2500 to 4000
Need peripherals in that budget too?
Monitor/kb&m/etc
I already have most of it... Well, my monitors are older... so technically just the case, (but if there are any decent monitors you could recommend outside the budget that would be awesome) ❤️
Do you live near a microcenter? Some of the best CPUs are very hard to find right now but they have good stock in store usually.
#tech-deals message ~$575 7840HS/4060 Dell laptop seems expired? Starting price needs to be $800 for it to work out to ~$575 but it shows as $1100 for me.
Hmm I dont think (not sure what that is lmao) the only similarly sounding thing around here is Micronet, PC Station, inc, and OfficeMAx lol
This is their website, you can check if there's one near you https://www.microcenter.com/
238miles away the closest one based on what i see 😦
Still closer than the one nearest me lol
Oh well, guess you'll be waiting for the 9800X3D stock to normalize like the rest of us
It's currently being scalped for double the MSRP
Because it's the single best gaming CPU that currently exists
480
With a budget like yours @broken token, there's quite a bit of room for aesthetic choices without compromising performance. Do you have any preferences, like RGB, white theme, liquid cooling?
So my previous setup had RGB fans and stuff in it but later I literally replaced them with "basic/flat" quiet fans because the lights drove me nuts. But it was like 4/5 years ago and there was no option to turn them off unless the computer was off 😀
Ok, so minimal RGB? What about the color theme? Black or white?
thats hard lol! Hmm white!
White might cost more “white tax”
I didn't expect it to be so hard to find white fans that don't have RGB but here's my suggestion. You could upgrade to a 4090 but the cheapest white one is currently $2800 and very much not worth it. The case is just one suggestion as a popular choice. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZmWtpK
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, HYTE Y70 Touch Infinite ATX Mid Tower
thank you!!
Yeah, id rather have any color really without having to pay extra 😄
I could shave about $150-200 off with a blacked out build but I think this would look nicer
whoa the difference between 4080 and 4090 is like 1700? 😵💫
If you go by MSRP the 4080 super is $1000 and the 4090 is $1600, but the 4090 is horribly priced right now at an extra $1000 over MSRP due to lack of competition (same as the 9800X3D actually)
@broken token Here's what a comparable build in black looks like too https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3BWtpK
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, HYTE Y70 Touch Infinite ATX Mid Tower
WHERE AM I

@broken token allow me to compete with these by providing a small sized PC with the same-ish performance
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MXpBZc
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Lian Li A3-mATX MicroATX Mini Tower
$800 less comparatively
I'm not denying that is a cheaper build but with a 4k budget I thought a few aesthetic picks would be in order
A micro ATX case with no glass panel, aesthetic that is not
By most people's standards at least
You don't know she might like a tiny mesh box
It's an alternative I didn't reject what you said I was just having fun with it
Lol
She may prefer less, she may prefer the aesthetic, that's what alternatives serve
Though I really did have to double take when I got here

lol yeah I normally wouldn't suggest anything like that so I can see the confusion
Ye, was smth I tried looking into. Prolly a good thing it ended cuz I shouldnt be spending money on a laptop upgrade when I use my laptop like once per year lol
It's out of stock
if it goes back in stock
Its not going to, they've been out of production for years
And no, it's overpriced at $270
It should be $180-230
damn :(
i haven't been in the gpu market for a while
that's the lowest price 3060 ti i've seen for a while
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4RrRsY/xfx-radeon-rx-6750-xt-12-gb-speedster-qick-319-core-video-card-rx-675xyjfdp
This is ok value
Little bit better than the 3060 ti and has more vram
Depends on the price
If i hadn't gotten a 2080 ti I'd be hopping on that 7700xt myself
I didn't check that, hmm
Whos that?
They're the official tiktok of the gpu manufacturer powercolor
ngl tryna figure out what amd gpu i should get
7700XT, 7800XT, or 7900GRE.
i think for $100 less a 7800XT will work fine for 1440p
gonna snag that 7800XT at $420
- amazon 6% benefits
GRE is great value
i know that
but is it worth $100 more than 7800XT
it has the same vram
will it last much longer than the 7800XT?
It's a 7900 XT with the VRAM of the 7800 XT
The core is stronger
And sometimes they use the same memory as the 7900 XT but reduce the clock speed, so you can overclock it to perform nearly as good as the 7900 XT
Around 12% iirc
5600/x plus 32gb ddr4 is still around $150 though
I disagree personally i don't see the need for 16gb builds anymore with how close they are in price
16gb is like $28 32gb $43
Check this out on @Newegg:KingSpec DDR4 RAM 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM Memory Module 3200 MHz 288-Pin UDIMM with Heatsink for Computer Desktop PC Memories Module Gaming https://www.newegg.com/kingspec-16gb/p/0RN-00FW-00030?Item=9SIB1V8K570184
Hella cheap ddr4 16GB
It's alright
ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti AMP - $649.99 - Free shipping for Prime members https://computers.woot.com/offers/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-amp-3?utm_medium=share&utm_source=app
guys is this a good deal?
zotac is pretty good
4070 super is 600-700 bucks
and I know 4070ti is way better than super
4070 ti has been $550 recently refurb/open box, $650 is what it should be priced. 7900xt at $625 was better, but 650 isn't bad
$60 over a 4070 super for 10-15% more perf
is that 2tb ssd a good deal for a boot drive?
Yes very
$10 cheaper than the recent go to recc and its better, although the difference won't be noticeable for 99% of users
Lmao that's how I feel
Although it basically cost me $180 so I shouldn't complain
I got the aoc mini led
Hdr on it is so nice
I didn't realize how vibrant colours could look
whats the brand
it seems that at 1440p ti and ti super deliver very similar performance when ti super announced ppl were exaggerated ti super’s performance
Oh dayum
Anything about the 4k one?
Maybe good for a media consumption monitor?
Idk
Nope hard pass apparently horrible quality control and has back light failure issues
Just dies within a year very often apparently
Man BF and CM suck
I read that as Battle Field and Cooler Master
How reliable would this be if I also back it all up on backblaze?
Is there any decent TVs for sale? Not for gaming just for watching in good quality
Cyber Monday atm has really good “sales”
Still correct with that interpretation imo. Battlefield used to be fun, and cooler master was never good to begin with.
I've seen Walmart practically giving away TVs. Some crazy stuff like a 4K 55" for sub $200
Just a normal 4K 60 Hz, but I guess that's basically what you want
That or 120hz, but I think it’s only OLED that has anything over 60hz
I'd be surprised if it was only OLED
And in that case, those sales would be more like "sales" than actual sales
4K 120Hz TVs exist that are like $500 (normal price. idk about today though)
Buy Philips 50” Class 144Hz 4K Ultra HD Gaming + Google Streaming Smart LED TV (50PUG7674/F7) (New) at Walmart.com
Surprisingly
I would not put those in the same zip code as the word "decent"
For 300$? Not that bad but I don’t know how a TV from a toothbrush company (I think) is in general
nah I believe that for sure. But if all you want is "TV" and that's it, it's not bad. That's basically my setup and I can't complain tbh
Philips is a big electronics brand in general. They're really big in light bulbs.
But I mean I see Philips, 144Hz, 4K all in the same title as well as it being $298 and I'm thinking that's not too bad at all
Last Christmas my parents gave me some Westinghouse that originally costed like $280. It's a 4K 60Hz TV. The screen is okay. Nothing crazy. A few dead pixels but honestly I'm not complaining
I might buy that tbh, my parents need a new TV cause they bought a curved from from 2016
And it isn’t even that curved
My only issue is that they don’t have that in store, shipping a TV kinda scares me
Man buying into the curve hype lol
Curved screens just feel derpy to me
Unless that thing is wrapping around half my body i dont see the point
They're only good for sitting close to large screens
^ this exactly
And this only happens with a large screen
Yeah if you can see the whole screen without moving your head there's no point to it at all
I don’t think it helps when the couches are positioned to the sides of the curved TV
Instead of in front
it's even goofier when you realize that curved TVs came out before curved monitors. It's almost like TVs helped monitors innovate for once lol
Well I was looking into more TVs, and I mean ALOT.
Apparently some are VA panels? Aren’t they usually IPS + with some VA being on the Hisenses at like 200$ is that really a deal or not?
VA often has better black levels and/or contrast, and curved stuff was usually VA. It's just funny TV did curves earlier and more often even though generally a TV is for 2+ people, somewhat negating any curved benefit.
It really depends on the aspect ratio. Like yeah you can have a 16:9 curved panel. Does the curve matter? Not much. But then you go to 21:9 or 32:9 and then you have a genuine reason for needing it to be curved
I'll also say though, a 27" curved panel is super nice if you want a vertical monitor that's that big
Would also depend how far the monitor is from your face
Higher end VA like micro-LED tends to be comparable to IPS but with better contrast
I've only got good things to say moving to mini led from good IPS
Only downside is viewing angle. Everything else is either better or no worse
HDR is MILES better, colour's look very similar without HDR but with it its like a night and day difference
I'm not surprised.
But slow but are we talking about mini leds as in like qled or whatever they call it?
Ohhh so they’re separate alright
Petition to name #tech-deals into #truebacca-deals
found some insane deals on woot
check #tech-deals
$230 3060!!
and a $73 o11 mini white
newegg
oh
Thanks @bold willow you're the best green role
np
$73.00 is crazy
sadly my lil bro wants a black case
Sky two gx is $75 and looks sick
I don't think he likes the perforated front.
He preferred his H510 over my NR600
(not letting him swap back due to terrible thermals and "unethical choices")
Corsair 4000D might be cool
not perforated in the same way
nvm its $100 againb
Goofiest opinion I’ve heard all day and I’ve heard quite a bit already
I was thinking 4000X Icue since it does come with the icue hub and fans already
and we do have 5 other icue fans we can reuse
although i think 3000d would be good
maybe fractal design meshify c
3000d rgb airflow is $77
Icue is a pain to use
might force a friend to get this https://us-store.msi.com/Sale/promotions/Combo-Deals/MPG-Kit-AMD-B650
it would free up like $200 extra
going from a 7700x 7900GRE to a 7700 7900XT or XTX
Getting 7700x over 7700 is honestly pointless if you dont overclock your cpu
Exactly
I only got the x version for if my cpu needs that boost in the future
True lol but thatd entail spending
https://www.newegg.com/ipason-s7-zhanjing/p/3D5-001U-000W5 can't figure out how long this is on sale for can someone tell me ;-;
Message the seller, it's a marketplace item
I'm guessing it's permanently on sale since if it ever goes back up to $1000 that would be the biggest ripoff today
It also says they won't have any stock for another month
Oh and do note that PC has no GPU, just integrated graphics
Smthn like this would be better
https://www.ebay.com/itm/165837789704?
And you would get it in less than a month too
Could that run stuff like RE4 remake smoothly? My dad is getting me a computer as a holiday present and I'm scrambling for a good one after the last pc we ordered had an error in shipping and had to be refunded
I'm not that good with tech stuff...
What's the budget?
The 1660 ti does meet the minimum GPU spec but not the recommended spec for RE4. It will probably run at 1080p high pretty well.
Steam says the recommended GPU is one step higher, the 1070
Okay what about granblue fantasy relink
It meets the minimum again but it's not even close for recommended, which is a 2080
1080p low for that one probably, maybe medium
But it's a better deal than the pc I showed before still, yes? Better computer?
Correct
Alright I'll show my dad
The first one would only run easy games like fortnite
He was also wanting to get me a display and keyboard and the like from newegg, so I'll need stuff in these ranges:
https://www.newegg.com/asus-vy249hgr-27-fhd-120-hz-ips-black/p/N82E16824281334
https://www.newegg.com/p/32N-04SA-00002
Mainly the second one
That second link is entirely different thing
Sold by Acer's ebay store so definitely reputable ^
At $63 crazy good value
where did u get this?
oh nvm
lmao yep
its sold out right :(((((((((((((
And what about that keyboard/mouse/headset bundle link
Ok mouse but this is really heavy
https://sellout.woot.com/offers/redragon-rgb-wired-gaming-mouse
also this damn..
No filter dodging please
Fal what do you think about this keeb
https://sellout.woot.com/offers/koorui-gaming-keyboard-60-percent-1
I don't think my dad is wanting to order stuff on multiple different websites
I refuse to order on Amazon right now
I have this mouse. Not bad but i agree on the heavy.
@azure pond, lord and saver of tech deals, mind checking this out? #tech-deals message
I think its an incredible deal, lowest its been on camelcamelcamel, sold by amazon.
An A-Tier 1000W SFX
ATX 3.0
Pcie gen 5
Yeah thats good
I think sfx 1000w are normally $20+ more
https://www.ebay.com/itm/165837789704?var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY is there anything similar to this? I was sent this yesterday here but it's now out of stock
Nvm, the shipping issue with my original order has been kinda fixed
@azure pond can find something
Nah not anything as good value as that one near the price
I don't need help anymore, thanks for the offer tho
Have a relative looking for a laptop to mostly be used as a mail/browsing machine. Has used windows laptops in the past, was asking about Chromebooks but I think those are probably just too slow to reccomend. Would there be anything worth reccomending that's cheaper than an M1 MacBook air at $510?
Mail/browsing? Basically any modern laptop can do that.
Any other things you look for in a laptop?
If it was a windows laptop I think minimum 12gb ram and a processor that won't choke with browsing (ie Chromebook/Celeron stuff)
And probably new, not used or refurbished
Lol my $30 chromebook from ebay
Touchscreen?
Screen size?
Probably don't need touchscreen
Not sure about size. I'd have to ask if they prefer 13 or 15in
Any idea how the snapdragon X compares to apple M1?
Oh Passmark has it tied with the M4, wow
Anything closer to like $300-400?
^^ that does seem like a pretty good deal, just want a range of price options if possible
like its an oled 3k display
last one 😅 but yeah that's more what I think they'd be looking for.
AMD Ryzen 5 7530U, Hexa-core (6 core), 2.00 GHz. Want a laptop that’s big on performance and easy on the eyes?. The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 has got you covered. It boasts next-gen AMD Ryzen 5 7000 Series processors and integrated AMD Barcelo graphics, so you can handle graphics-intensive tasks and heavy workloads with ease.
Oh this is pretty nice
https://www.ebay.com/itm/156341458113
You want cheaper than $500?
And there's a 6650u one for $400, for an rdna2 igpu option
I just wanna offer a range of prices, so the decision is something other than : either $500 or chromebook
don't think igpu matters at all, they don't game whatsoever
well when u run the whole pc off of it, the igpu is a good plus
gotta load those emails in 4k
ngl i might get the snapdragon laptop
I think that's still zen 2 igpu
Am5 laptops are very weird
And zen 2 architecture
120u is pretty nice iirc
does 7520 beat 6650?
no
25% slower cpu and worse igpu as well
the 7xxx mobile amd cpus are kinda sad
scores higher than apple m1 too
I've no clue genuinely
3K Oled

Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Elite X processors promise to be big on performance and little on battery drain, but can they possibly live up to Qualcomm’s lofty claims?
Discuss on the forum: https://l...
Felix supports it so it's probably great
is that a good linus video or bad one?
But idrc about laptops enough to be educated on them
Haven't seen the whole thing yet but seems positive so far
I know enough to get by
Apparently Snapdragon X Plus beats M3
passmark has it real close to an M4
Qualcomm ties with Intel 200 series for best battery rn
They're up to something like 16 hours
Which is as good as a phone
AND NEW AI TECHNOLOGY /s
So then this is basically a windows macbook but better?
perhaps
ngl the display is selling it for me
i swapped to an oled monitor and it was amazing
Exactly that
having that 3K will be nice, and u can turn it down to 1080p to save battery
There was a really good snapdragon book for 500 around recently
ngl i might sell my Acer Nitro V for this lol
I was recommending it and I never recommend thin n lite
any non-refurb options $300-400 👉 👈 or does going under $500 just not worth it at all?
So should tell you something, the market hasn't woken up to how good a snapdragon book is
Idk
Ask @stoic crest
He the laptop guy
I met a snapdragon employee person in a bestbuy once
Was he a dragon
she actually ☝🏻
fr. I've been hearing how the $500 mac mini with M4 is a steal but this comes with a keyboard and nice display as well. and more storage
I heard her giving keyboard advice - she doesn't work at bestbuy and wasn't mean to do anything but sell their laptops.
She said "a keyboard is just plastic, pick whatever plastic you like, they're all the same"
She was a dragon??

The M4 will win in performance but the battery goes to Qualcomm/intel200 by a mile
She spoke fire, not breathed it.
"Plastic is all the same 🔥 "
Yoooooo
Oh i mighta mispoke, the m4 is a good deal ahead of the X
with the amount of ram macbooks now have
they're genuinely
worth the money imo
but since the sd x plus oled lappy is on sale rn
by all means, go for it
Yeah i was taking price into consideration
I wonder what the battery life is on that laptop with a 3K display on.
cause cheapest M3 air is 999
anything?
SD X has 2 more cores. 32% higher memory bandwidth, and supports 64gb of ram.
All of SDX 10 cores run at 3.4 GHz, while M3 has 4x4.05GHz & 4x2.75GHz
should still be good enough tbh
Pat?
it's an oled, so run dark themes to save on even more batt
oh yeah
I'm sad I spent $1200 on a gaming laptop.
What was 3-years-ago me thinking.
1 hour battery life with GPU disabled and low brightness.
Gelsinger lol. Big little cores
I think M3 would probably beat SDX at single core due to higher clock, but lose in multi-core due to less cores and half of them being efficiency cores.
I would get the SDX anyways cause MacOS = ew
In the context of thin n lite, if it works well enough but wins by a mile in battery then it's a win for Qualcomm imo
i agree with felix
Qualcomm coming to steal intels laptop market
AMD stealing intels gaming market
AMD literally doesn't have competition for purely gaming desktops.
cuz the few days ago i checked sales figures
Intel still my favorite for workstation.
only 720k units of qcomm laptops have been sold
That's just because less tech-savy people don't recognize AMD as much.
oh
well yeaahh
QComm is only sold at Bestbuy I think.
intel has an insane amount of brand recognition that for everyday laptop consumers will be hard to work against
yes competition good
I want intel to explode in the budget GPU scene.
everyone was surprised by intel's 200V series
I don't want intel to lose desktop CPUs tho
Don't forget, the Intel 200 laptops look competitive to SD
it was such a glowup for intel mobile segment
AMD lost big time in this new round
16/32gb memory config
big efficiency gains
higher igpu performance watt per watt (in lower power limits)
Hear the rumors of the Nvidia CPUs
sure amd is faster, but it needs more juice to run up to said perf
AMD is good for gaming laptops tbf
Themoreyoubuythemoreyousave
but purely efficient laptops is intel/qcomm
When can i buy the Nvidia9-4090KF
im sadge pat gelsinger retired
Ngl I saw the nzxt thing before the video and thought oh thats interesting.
but he had no choice alledgedly
Like it didnt seem to scummy on the surface
intel board told him he could either retire or get laid off
This was what everyone thought
$100-$300 a month for a pc that will be kept up to date and you get a free monitor.
Me included
Then we dig deeper using GN's vid and WOW
For people who could'nt afford a full rig, it seemed nice.
rental pcs
Renting takes advantage of those less fortunate.
Tbh if you have to rent a pc for $300 a month, there is something else you should be doing.
imagine renting a pc for as much money as leasing
like who has $300 a month to rent a pc but not build one.
there's still people who are dumb enough to still defend nzxt for it
with the excuse of not having to deal with the burden of pc problems
like this would only make sense for esports players or gaming complexes who need pc upkeep
except.. if the pc has a problem and you threw away the original package
They are literally targeting young teens and gullible folks
nzxt won't take it back
If you cant afford $600 or more for a PC, get on facebook marketplace.
Granny wanna hit those fortnite clips for the fam groupchat
Some of the ads literally had "you could win a fortnite tournament and buy a pc" as a selling point
259 a month for
a pc wth a 4080
bro you can save up for a year and get the same pc for less
or building one
or actually be able to build a 4090 rig out of said money
btw the intel gpus just came out
cuz 259 for 12 months is 3.1k
B580?
whut
it says release date 12/13
but seriously
if you can afford a couple hundred a month to rent a pc
you can afford to save for a few months and build a cool rig
i dont think ive ever been too a best buy where any worker in there knew what they were talking about
pay as much as a gpu for renting a pc you wont own!!
It wasn't a bestbuy employee lol.
It was a qualcomm rep doing the wrong job
B580s aren't even out yet, the Intel LE listing for it is already OOS
She was meant to be just selling their laptops but ended up in the keyboard section.
Preorder sorry
was on pcpartpicker and saw them
YO?
Maybe they got too many preorders
in stock for me
I don't wanna be the first wave of B-line gpus
ill wait to see the bugs and benchmarks
but oh my asrock makes some beautiful cards
and some ugly ones
beautiful on the inside

i would say its average
Intentional
probably better at cooling ngl
The card is small they just added bigger fans and gave it passthrough ventilation
Ya
The only thing is
They work but the paste QC on them is stupid
Very inconsistent
"Nothing beats a good ASRock."
-Washington, probably
Even some of their higher end cards have heatsink stickin out
^this arguably looks a lot nicer tho
"Remember boys, the British are asleep yet and we shall catch them by surprise. Also ASRock rocks"
"Heatsink sticking out is cool and cooler"
Cool and cooler
that would be an excellent slogan
for like a cpu cooler
not really to the same extent tho
tell em i say hi
and that *certain asrock gpus are goofy
aint nobody wanna see ur backplates or radiators
Asus, evga, gigabyte all have some much more aggressive ones
NVIDIA FE
Freaking Expensive
Fr
FE is a class of it's own in terms of looks
maybe accompanied by this one MSI card i saw a pic of the other day
Why is my homepage covered in NZXT now
The MSI fe looks interesting
Yeah that one
Creator or whatever
Youtube algorithm at work. You watched a video where they say NZXT a lot so you must like NZXT.
Expert that's the one
blowthrough 7900xt anyone?
https://www.newegg.com/asrock-creator-rx7900xt-ct-20g-amd-radeon-rx-7900-xt-20gb-gddr6/p/N82E16814930128
Asrock did cover the full heatsink on this one but not the PCB
nah
Oh the turbo
huh
Both the turbofan variant and the passive probably share parts
would make sense
I mean it makes sense, both don't use passthrough they use server style cooling
do not send me your gpu pics
gpuhub
High graphics & framerates

hot single gpus on the shelves
Naw, dont do this one. All the GPU’s are pre-owned, all the Refurb is cosmetic only, and tend to come with extra parts you don’t need. And if you dont keep spending money on it, will slow down and lose FPS. Better to get a nice new one you can install for the first time yourself and tune it the way you like it.
Dont get caught browsing gpus guys, be careful
Your motherboard would be very disappointed
Wait it said shipped and sold by Amazon when I checked
pretty average price, but do you play FPS at a professional level?
because otherwise theres not really that much of a point in that high of a refresh
i pretty much guarantee that monitor was marked up to be put on sale
i dont mind paying that price as its ips and 0.5ms
but soemone said i should get a 1440p
Are you making a new setup or just upgrading monitor
What type of games do you play, and what gpu and cpu do you have if you're just upgrading monitor
i be buyuing all the parts i need in feb im getting a RX 7900 XT and ryzen 7600
But apparently there's going to be new graphics card coming out around that time
