It also means getting a new windows install or cloning with an ssd enclosure involved so probably would mean this wouldn't be significantly more worth it than the other two laptops that they had up there rn for $999

Are prices for GPUs, CPU's, and Motherboards usually lower in price around November - December or do they stay about the same? I am trying to decide if I want to upgrade my parts now (GPU, CPU, Ram, and Mobo) or wait a few months. If there is normally no change, then I will just do it now. The upgrade would be from 3900x to 7000 series and 2080 ti to 4080 or AMD GPU.

Probably the easiest way to go about things for your upgrade

Just note there's a slight bottleneck on a 5800x3d at 1440p with that gpu

5800X3D and 7600 are roughly the same performance, not really worth changing platforms if you already have AM4 unless you're going all in with the 7800X3D.

If I were upgrading just the CPU and GPU (5000 series instead of 7000 series), then everything else stays the same.

The 5800x 3d has more L3 cache, so it works better for gaming, right? I have also heard of the 3D varient seeming to rely on the GPU more often, so the GPU will be hotter at around 10 Celsius more. Is that the case?

Intel would be a fair option here I think, no need for hacks like that

I wouldn't do a 12900k or 13900k on air cooling with multi core loads like premier
