WHERE
Search for ddr5, filter 32gb and sort by lowest price
OMG I WANT THIS
I ordered a kit too
OMGGGGG
7000 C34 WTFFF
POST IT POST IT POST IT
@marsh sphinx #tech-deals
Best DDR5 for cheapest DDR4 prices
Or if they send out DDR4 and we get to experience Newegg's HASSLE FREE RETURNS
If they send 5600 DDR4 I'd be ok with that lol
Honestly? I can't disagree lmao
Praying it's the real deal tho
That was a fire sale and a half
I don't need DDR5... but I really want to find a reason to buy that
6000c30 for $53
7000c34 for $53
If I had more parts and a wider budget I'd have bought more
Ok I'm not buying now because by the time I plan to upgrade in a couple years that will be the normal price for those kits anyway. I don't need it to sit on a shelf in the hopes I need DDR5 at some point.
I will now commence plugging my ears and not listening to the voices saying I should buy it
But you could sell your ddr4 now for more @jolly inlet
With the board and cpu

And be net more moneys
There's a few left
I don't even want 5600. Again by the time I actually need to upgrade, better kits will be this price.
No one wants 4 mismatched sticks of ddr4 anyway
They won't run above 3600 together
And selling separately means trying to convince people that 16GB is good
Damn rip
All sold out
Sadge
I was thinking about grabbing the first kit, but I'd have to buy a new mobo too
So decided against it
Would 16x2 and 8x2 ram sticks work if they had the exact same timing?
Work yes, be stable? Ehhhhhhhh
Packaging
the only time I don't hate europeans (i'm an american with a bedtime 💤 )
i got this today and installed windows 11 on it
the funny thing is, i got it from newegg, but not newegg website,
newegg selling it on walmart platform for 15$ cheaper

nice
do you have the ebay link for the ram sticks?
They do that on eBay a lot too
Yeah

That was a completed listing, already sold, paid, shipped
lol i have honey and capital one shopping plugin
if it wasn't for those two i wouldn't have known this thing was on walmart.com for cheaper
rip, wanted to cop the ram

anyone has a recommendation for a wifi+bluetooth usb adapter ?
i found this one
idk if there's better ones
A Gigabyte Gtx 1070 Gaming OC with 2 of 3 fans defective but still working for $63.
Is it worth it?
Had that, hella weak on recepting signal unless you're that close to the router or fine with low speed.
You can get 3 new fans for $15-20. They're easy to replace. That would be a good deal.
Alright, I hope it wasn't sold yet. Thanks!
Nvm, someone got it already lmao. They're so quick
Dang and here I was getting ready to send a link to the fans lol
what do you look at to see that
what figures
The... Wi-Fi icon ?
?
how does that tell me anything
you said the signal wouldn't be strong
what numbers or description did you read that says that
for example,
if a person weighs 200 pounds and another weighs 120 pounds
it's safe for me to say the 200 pounds is stronger,
and if i were i asked why i said that, then i'd say 200 pounds is more than 120 pounds
i don't think i had to explain it
but now that i did
what description of that products alludes to say it won't be strong enough ?
i'd appreciate sharing! thanks
There is no specific number on the wifi signal, it all depends on where the router is, where your computer is, how many and how good the antennas are, ect.
If it says "up to 480mbps, that's not gonna be the speed, because it depends on the plan you have with your ISP and the limit they set if there is one. And the router wifi standard also plays a role in how fast it can be.
The way you want the answer, in one simple number, just doesn't apply for electronics since there are just so many other variables that make it almost impossible to show it in one number.
"had that" at the beginning of the message implies they owned and used it for some time
^
There's no standardized, documented number that will tell you how strong your signal will be. Higher gain antennas will help but that's only one factor of many.
You could use the wifi-man app on your phone to help troubleshoot.
That helps with one variable, signal strength from the router. Your phone antenna will have a different signal strength than any desktop device would.
If you have excellent signal from the router, then a cheaper, smaller USB device like the one above would probably be fine. If it's below about -70dB something bigger would work better.
Yeah, just useful to check for walk around the house and look for problem areas, also check for channel overlap.
This a deal? XPG 1TB GAMMIX S70 Blade - Works with Playstation 5, PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 Internal Gaming SSD Up to 7,400 MB/s (AGAMMIXS70B-1T-CS) https://a.co/d/bl1drPu

Depends on what you need it for because you can get a 2TB gaming drive for just a few bucks more.
If you need it for 4k video editing or a ps5 it's a good drive for that.
Yeah, I want to edit in 4k, but I don't want to pay $300 for davinci resolve studio
How long of a video in 4k?
5 minutes or less it'll all fit in memory and the drive won't matter
10-20 minutes on average
Eh you might get some use out of it. It might save you a few minutes of editing time per video.
True
if anyone wants to get into X79 platform for cheap. excellent deal
https://www.ebay.com/itm/295796531755?
Back order
bruh i just speant $168 on the torrent bruhuuhhh
Anyone know cheap gaming laptops under $1000
What are you looking for in a laptop? Good display, better cooling, better performance, better build quality?
Asus g14 zepherus when it’s on sale
gigabyte g5 with 3060/4050
GF65 thin or katana 15 if you can still find them
Oh wow, Newegg CA had a new Corsair Voyager laptop for 1300 CAD with a 6800HS and 6800M
That's stunning

They shipped

Sweet
What are the issues with the regulat samsung 980s?
Besides being overpriced garbage? There's way better drives for the money these days.
The drives may also have a bad firmware version that leads to premature death of the drive.
i thought the death thing was with the 990's
and im sure they would all be shipping out with fixed firmware at this point
980 pro was the most common denominator
I remember seeing the stacks of them from returns
Probably worth it as long as you update firmware
Meh
670p, mp33, a60, m450
Get msi m450 instead for 1tb yeah
13900k amazon $409
980 non pro is just a mediocre drive
It’s from an unknown seller
Red flag #1: The CPU is listed cheaper than the 13700k.
Red flag #2: The seller has few ratings, and one rating says they didn't get what they ordered. Common drop ship scam.
Red flag #3: The seller address is a mall in Shenzhen.
Hmmm, maybe I should gamble on it
I want a ITX build
Someone put an ITX build together for me, I’m bored
Only requirement is I want a MSI Z790I Edge
And don’t worry about GPU, might slap my 6950 into it
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t8xmVw thermalright frozen notte 240 for $54 on amazon for the cooler, doesn't show up on pcp
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 Mini ITX Desktop
Oh, this is tech deal discussion, thought this was general
Did samsung fix the 0E issue?
0E? Firmware?
Ah
uber bin-reject dimms
But what if they weren't tho
(they are)
Like imagine they boot 8400
(they wont)
But just imagine
Hynix ddr5 for basic ddr4 prices sounds nice
It's rated for that much anyway

Being A would be a bonus
I'm so pissed I missed that mobo
I’m pissed I missed that ram
Yeah, crazy deal
I was debating ordering one just to have, but as I won't use it right now the annoyance of the rebate dissuaded me

Damn
What's that?
They'll order something and have the package rerouted to another person. They're selling things they don't physically have in hand is the problem.
These tech deals do be tempting me
Adorama just raised the price of the 22TB drives.
Oh I thought u were talking about buying them a while back
Theres few 12th gen combos at newegg but they're meh
Maybe there will be better combos at coming days
@marsh sphinx #tech-deals message
Shows up as $320 for me
OOOOOH
There's a promo code
Dude I need it but I dunno if I'll have the money
It'd take a bit for Amazon to refund the money to my card and I only have like $150 on hand right now

Never actually bought them
i bought 2 of them and will be configuring them in raid0, stay tuned
opsie pinged wrong person
lol
Dunno if I've seen a monitor with wifi antenna before
@azure pond https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824028005
Damn you...
I have a paycheck rolling in tomorrow and if I get a small loan I could get this...
Though I don't have any 1440p capable GPU's unless the 3060 Ti or 2080 Ti can do that stuff
I run 1440p on a 3060 ti
Just imo though, personally I'd rather wait for other sales and try for an IPS panel
With prime day and fantastech right around the corner I'm sure there'll be some ips 1440p high refresh monitors around $180-200
What's the difference?
Better color accuracy, better quality
oled ❤️
This is the monitor I got for Christmas, I didn't pick it
But the refresh rate is stupid high for 1080p
Screen needs cleaned, probably should get around to that here soon...
Dunno
I feel 144Hz is like the most I'd need
If not lower
I see no difference in all honesty
If I do get a 1440p monitor I'd probably just use this as a secord monitor, never have ran two monitors before
144 and 165 are basically the same
Oh?
I guess @azure pond saw the list I made a bit ago with that board. It's currently the cheapest DDR5 board that isn't just... bad.
My 2070super does 1440p fine
And if a game has dlss its even better
I was getting 180fps at movie settings
I think maybe more
Oh I'm getting a little less with my 5700 cranked at movie settings 1080p
Might have to consider a 2080 Super
Though I kinda want the 2080 Ti
Yeah well 1440p makes a big dif
2080s same as 3060 ti
Also
2070super is just a cut down 2080 lol
That's why they don't like to oc very far on the core
Would it be worth trying to win a bid on one of these in the future?
Sure, if less than a used 3070
Some early 2080 tis have issues though
Power issues mainly
I'm seeing some undesirable 3070's at like $300
MSI Ventus 3X, Asus Dual, and such
Seeing a 3070 Ti $360, unsure if that's a bad price or not
Just for refence and such anyways
I'm prioritizing getting my rig up and running by the end of the month hopefully
3070 ti not worth over 3070 unless same price or cheaper
^
Well I guess if we're going by that, a 2080 Ti or 3070 Ti under $315 is worth grabbing
Though if there's a 3060 Ti for $275 brand new again when I have the money on hand I'll probably snag that
Back in stock, $110+18 shipping. Compact steel-sided one is $10 cheaper. Great air cases for $118/128.
Great for air and custom loop yep. AIO may have some difficulties.
Wao
im wondering if i should just buy a used 6800xt tbh
cause I have a cheap 6900xt (450$) in my area but 3 8 pins, and I need to upgrade my psu in order to use it
Or, power limit the 6900 xt and it'll still beat the 6800 xt
Undervolting helps a LOT too
I'd wait for a decent 750-1kw psu deal, it'll last you 10 years anyway, probably won't have to wait long
i got a 750 gt, but 13600k so..
also they got the syncro 850 for 60$, just it needs a literal case to work with it..
doesn’t mean i can’t use it. though I don’t know much about undervolting and etc, plus I have no clue if the gpu would turn on with 2/3 pins filled
You can use one of the daisy chain connectors. It should work fine with those specs tbh. AMD cards don't spike as much as Nvidia 30 series and that was the real issue for a while.
From the wall with my 750gt 💀
925W
And that's only the PC? Not the monitor or anything else?
Monitor is like 30w or so
So around 900w from the pc
Prime 95 (320 on cpu) and furmark (350 on gpu)
Brrr
Instead of a 980 Pro I'd do this. It's basically a S70 blade S tier drive for $85 but not as pretty, and marketed for PS5 but works great on PC. https://www.newegg.com/adata-2tb/p/N82E16820215443
Sure enough that $53 DDR5 deal was held up. No shenanigans. 🔥
Batch 2302 if anyone is curious as to what I got. Will check if A or M later
Keep coping
Okay 2400c9 user
Can't tell if nice
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ON MY SIDE

If you actually had good DDR3 yea
you only need literally like 18 bucks.
STOOPID
is this dimm dual rank
looks like some jedec pcb as well
It is JEDEC
RAHHH
Better than Danny’s?
maybe LOL
I don’t have a board that can OC
I'm gonna send a pipe bomb to your address
I’ll deliver one personally to you if you send one to him
Ok
I’m literally related to good ol Ted
you send him what if i give him what?
That Polish blood goes strong
Nah, I deliver Danny a you know
I’ll send you my 2070
🙂
Forks already posted the 980 pro 2tb a few days ago but yeah it's still a decent deal
ah mb didn't know it was for $100
Didn't fal post that $84 2tb xs70 yesterday
No that was a 4TB
Is this what you're thinking of?
Ye that's the one
94$
-$10 coupon
ofc it's a mech 2x
Looks like good price idk
What price because it doesn't say until you're at checkout
50$
Yeah that's not bad for JBL. I got a more generic set for that price before that were pretty decent so if it's at least as good as those then I'd be happy.
Why neutral sound score is low lol
Bass heavy
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325721946325?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UX6OqnVoTYm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QikrwtJhTda&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY expensive but I heard Jabra have good sound
Better but I'd expect more for that price https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/jabra/elite-7-active-true-wireless

Oh wait I goofed, that's the pro version on ebay https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/jabra/elite-7-pro-true-wireless
yeah but still no aptX or ldac codec
for that price I would expect one of those codecs at least lol
Is there something glaringingly wrong with the Mech2x before I buy it?
Just make sure you have good airflow and it's fine
jbl 230nc 1/2 price does seem like a decent deal. Could put my current set to backup duty.
The heatsink is cheapo aluminum so if it's starved for air it heats up fast
4000D Airflow with three front C12CW fans?
Should be good
good
@jolly inlet I was looking and this thing dropped a good bit from the $200 sale it was last week... is there anything comparable?
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-radeon-rx-6600-gv-r66eagle-8gd/p/N82E16814932481?Item=N82E16814932481
What do you mean by comparable? Price or performance?
price and performance?
I mean something in the same ballpark that could be the same price
If you don't mind used a 5700 XT would beat that for less money
Where can I get it new?
I'm looking for something with a warranty. This build is for a customer.
nvm I just seen that you said used
Don't bother with new, they want more money than the 6650.
I'm not sure what you mean. The 6600 is $30 cheaper?
I mean the 5700 XT
oh gotcha
They wanted $230 for that which is dumb
Yeah, I'll just nab this 6600. He mainly wants to play Valorant anyways so it'll be more than enough for him.
Yep it's between that and the 6650 for best value right now
Thank you. I was finally able to finagle a bit of $ around to get this PC built so I can get rid of all these parts I've been sitting on for a while.
especially on a lower tdp card the mech shoud be fine
Let it breathe and yeah it's fine
I went with the 6600 eagle since it's 3 fan and looks cooler for a 19 year olds first PC. Plus it's slightly cheaper, thus putting a little more $ in my pocket.
oh yeah $180 for the 6600 eagle is great
considering I almost bought it last week at $210.. yeah this time I'm jumping on it
assuming the eagle's cooling is comparable to the Windforce 3x that thing is gonna be super quiet
I had a 3 fan 2060 from gigabyte for a while an the 6600 has an even lower tdp
The listing says it has the WINDFORCE 3X Cooling System
yeah it's a bit confusing cause they had gpu models named 'windforce' with a different heatsink & shroud design but the fan system is also called windforce
ah ok
the eagle also has passthrough for one of the fans which is neat
ya I wouldn't be worrying about a 3 fan gpu
It's basically dead silent even at full power
Source:
I own one
I gotta worry about my msi 6650xt with loud coil whines and issues of it connecting to my pc :/
oc mech btw ^
The 6600 cooler is comparable to the 6700XT one, but aluminium fins and less heat pipes, same size
Also smaller power envelope so still doesn't matter, especially cos 3 fans lmao
Even the 6700xt one is just about dead quiet
This is supposed to be the cheap gigabyte btw
isn't there like a very overpriced aorus version of gigabyte GPU's
Yes
only cause it's got like a mini lcd or whatever
stop attacking my aorus master
hey, i'm not complaining tbh
anything better than a stupid 6650x-
I love builds with like those screens incorporated inside them
I haven't seen this card for many a while
My god it's so freaking thick

thanks bb
you should look at the 6900xt red devil ultimate
90% cooler, 10% board
I can't bring myself to pull the protective film off the lcd screen on gpu lol
oh btw, their budget totally went into the whole cooler.. not ont he sticker
look at this
that's the sticker that goes around the fan
lian li fans..
been like that since the 2nd week I installed it
WHAT??
where am i supposed to be looking? 💀
huh
they have a 2 fan eagle variant but its only for nvidia also 6500xt and 6400
3050 3060 3060ti
OH
Eagle 3080 12gb exists
I see it
And it's a nice card tbh
nothing a little gorilla glue can't fix 😏
I thought about just using double sided tape.
but at the same time.. I like the defect. I've gotten so used to it.. I'm attached xD
meh, it would work but just like it's gonna fall off again
Rest in piece gigglebit
I might have to retract this a bit
what you could do is install the card upside down and fix the issue
Inverted case layout time
Lmao
pretty much the same here lmao
god i saw a tiktok of the cooler master cases
where it's like those tri wall posterboards
like who'd want a pc like that
tbh, I custom built my PC stand. So I could probably build something cool for that type of case.
Only overclockers with a benching table would do that, they're really meant for wall mount. All the better to view it.
I wouldn't mind a desk with glass top that has my PC IN the desk.
honestly if I was really caring about getting those extra FPS by having a case like that
I would make sure to atleast have some style to it
My PC just blue screened after installing aorus engine lol
anyways I got that a201 I think it's called stuck in my head
ap201 and the north
two good looking cases
Fractal north? That one has gotten a lot of hype
Personally if I wanted a wooden case I'd make one
mhm
I wasn't a big fan at first but it's grown on me
the nice black metal look, walnut colored wood and gold accents make it good
what's crappy is that they don't have any fan power hubs for the glass ver. 💀
I will give it this, they managed to rediscover something I thought lost long ago... side fans
I have no idea why tempered glass became the meta when it's objectively worse than having either a vented side panel or, even better, a fan, over your GPU.
Well, I have some idea. aesthetics
I think mainly cause of that
I'd rather have the 220mm fan
cause you look at some old cases, they went from solid metal boxes/towers to glass
then people found out that glass wasn't really good for air flow
then it moved onto mesh, but nobody wanted a cursed all mesh pc
so I think it's just a lingering thing is all, only cause people wanna see their build from the inside
Acrylic isn't that much worse looking than glass, and it's easier to make and have a vent on.
I disagree https://ssupd.co/products/new-meshroom-s
Meshroom S is a highly versatile and compact PC case with only 14.9L volume and full mesh design, which provides excellent ventilation and cooling for even the most demanding components. Despite of its small size, Meshroom S features multiple installation layouts cater to the needs for ATX/MATX motherboard, GPU up to 3
true.
god that is beyond ugly
yeah sama im01 also matx
not great for overclocking sadly
It's for the SFF crowd, they eat it up since this is the only way to have good airflow in such a small case.
And it still fits a full ATX motherboard/psu
I wish that could happen with the ap201 or something
cause I really like the tower designs like lian li 205 mesh type c, or mini towers you can just unplug and throw inside a suitcase.
it'd be big enough to hold an atx, but also small enough to fit inside a suit case or something, but what would be cool is a pc inside an actual suit case 💀
and it's got like a retractable psu cable just like a vacuum cord or something.
There's someone here that's actually doing a suitcase PC. He's using a pelican case.
oh damn
it'd be cool if there was like some pc convention with custom built cases there n everything
Check out some of the PCs people bring to LTX for the LAN party
ranging from sleeper builds, guitar amp cases, or even legos
I found out the guy who was selling the 6900xt for 450$ on facebook marketplace took the post down and put it up on ebay for bidding :/
184
A worthy alernate:
1200w A tier psu for $170 on Newegg (super flower leadex)
I am forever iffy on whether or not the 980 pro or 990 are good ssd's
If they're on deep sale and you update the firmware, sure
Firmware issue is only the 980 I think
970 evo plus also uses the 980 pro controller so it's suspect as well
Takes only a few minutes to download magician and see if you even need to update. non-issue, but I'd still mention it in all #tech-deals posts
ive never heard of this company this seems like a good deal although
anyone have any experience?
and the 165 hz version is 1080p yet 40 dollars more seems weird to me
@silver shard Well, it's VA, so if you can handle that then it looks like a good monitor. Minimal ghosting. Performs at claimed specs.
sorry for the long links
I have 2 of these monitors. Can confirm they are good.
I would buy it from this link instead though. I know the ebay listing is from Newegg too, but this link will guarantee that if the price drops during fantastech, you'll get the difference back as a refund.
$20 for 15 bottles almost seems suspicious
Oh plus shipping I guess
Looking at sold/completed listings I'm seeing bottles going for $10-30 each
With shipping they would cost me $2.44 per bottle
I feel like it's gotta be $21 per bottle not the whole lot
WTAF WALMART

I guess it's a good thing I was never really a fan. I like hot sauce but this was never hot enough for me, and I didn't like the flavor as much.
https://www.newegg.com/black-asus-rog-z11-mini-itx-tower/p/N82E16811173043 this is hella good looking case
Good price too
Yeah I built one recently and it looks amazing
That case would make a good living room pc
Classic rog case like 0 airflow
Idk much about airflow but temps wasn't too bad for 5700x + 3060ti
@mighty pagoda price went back up
for the 6650xt?
yes
either because I’m in America or because they’ve actually fixed the price. but the URL is a .ca URL
Sriracha shortage
Every valve game except Half Life Alyx
I think that hot sauce is 21$ for one bottle lol
Lot of 15 seems like 15 separate bottles considering it's 12 sold 3 remaining
Any thoughts on the Fairphone?
I am not clicking that link
😂
fairphone is legit tho
it's also their actual shop url
frankly the fairphone 4 is expensive for the specs it gives
but the big selling point is that every part is easily replaceable
battery and so on
It's Framework but a phone. Could be a good investment if you can just swap out the motherboard later for an upgrade instead of getting a whole new phone.
Problem is that fairphone uses different body each release
So yeah boards aren't interchangeable
It's honestly a big flaw
lol
What puts me off is that fact
And it being pretty expensive
I would happily pay tho if the boards were to be exchanged with ease
I still like their fairbids xl tho
I think it's $249, but has pretty decent sound signature and anc
Parts are replaceable
No soldering used with cables
They actually use usb-c to connect two drivers together
Absolutely no glue too
Just screws
that level of repairability in a phone doesn't work imo. too small a device you either sacrifice in price for the cost of engineering such a small form factor device to be fully repairable or you sacrifice in the size of the device
fair
It will be thicker yah
But at least it's not so thin it bends in your pocket (iphone 12 moment)
what I want is a decent phone where the manufacturer isn't actively trying to make it more difficult cough cough apple
sd 8+ gen 1 i think
but 700 for that and good software is a steal ngl
past flagship prices
nvm it's got gen 2
so latest soc in 700 bucks package
fun color choices too
For the new pixel fold I think Google partnered with iFixit which is definitely a step in the right direction
I gotta agree with this. I think repairability and upgradability is great (and my next laptop will most likely be a Framework or something similar), but phones are a whole different beast when it comes to space efficiency
Yeah they get to sell you new screens direct from ifixit when you accidentally leave a tiny pebble in your pocket and it gets between the screens and kills your phone
The parts aren't in stock yet so if you bought one and it broke after a few days like several reviewers have reported you're screwed until they are
Man seeing all these decent cases so cheap gives me
I can't believe it's not butter flies
It shows me an additional $35 off coupon for the NR200. So get it for $10 after rebate
Only one of the $30 rebates is valid
Can't do both of them
It was $10 earlier, like super early in the morning my time, but unfortunately not anymore
Sorry just realized what I typed in the deals channel, I fixed it
Leave it to Amazon to claim that it's a total of $60 off lol
Anyone heard any rumblings of 4060's on sale for Prime Day by chance?
no
and i would not buy 4060 at all
it's worse than 3060
you get dlss 3 but that's it
no benefits. it even has less, slower vram
is this a 6500XT moment
💀
I’m looking for a friend but what’s the best sub 1k prebuilt deal right now?
efficiency?
yeah it's more efficient
that's something i guess
but doesn't justify the choice for 4060
but you have to cope a lot to justify
might as well buy something like 6650xt
fr
or 6700xt
try checking abs systems on newegg
The hp omen 3060 ti deal looks like the best to me atm
40L
600W gold psu
skytech is fine enough
Thanks
Any good 650W/750W PSU deals this week?
Not that I've seen. What tier are you looking for?
A or B
Fully or semi modular
Outside of that not too picky
Apevia has a $50 600w C tier
Oh?
Ope, just saw this
I have a CX650M
It would technically be a B tier but because of it’s coil whine it’s a C tier
I'm not super well versed... I have a 2070s and was considering getting something newer. Sounds like the 4060 is a waste.
Wasn't it moved to b tier?
4060 is a downgrade
Oh ya it will be a downgrade sadly
The cheapest gpu id consider going to is a 6700xt, 6800xt if possible
For similar price you could pick up a 6700 maybe
Or if you really want nvidia, used 3080
6700xt same price as cheapest 4060s
Or $10 more
damn
It's hilarious
Really glad I asked.
It's the exact same thing as the 4060 ti situation
Which one?
Cxm
Ah
I thought so, I could be wrong
Apevia’s Prestige line of power supplies brings great power and efficiency to your computer system. 80+ Gold certified, and designed for elegant form and function, they bring it to life. Supporting the 12v2. 3 standard and single rail setup, it’s updated for modern platforms. Boasting a 135mm sil...
I've used 3 of these in builds so far and they are solid.
But they are not mod/semimod
Yeah I was gonna say
Seems nice outside of that
I suppose I can’t have everything
Would there be any concerns running this with a 2080 Ti/3060 Ti and 13600K/13600KF?
I'd usually go with stuff on the PSU tier list
2080 ti possibly, depending on the revision, early revs had power issues
3060 ti I'd trust on it, but tbh if I were the one buying I'd go for the cxm 650 or rme750
yeah the 3060TI should be fine
golden rule
anything higher than a 60 series then consult psu tier list
Was thinking about the RM750e but seems tad bit pricey for only 750W
But it’s fully modular and A tier IG
I mean
Ehhh, definitely plenty of psus I wouldn't trust a 3060 on
that thing can last you years
Cxm 650 then
So paying for the quality
Or 750 if you'd like
fair
I always use the tier list
I'm super paranoid about psus
This is also a thing https://pcpartpicker.com/product/RXCFf7/apevia-prestige-1000-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-atx-pr1000w
how much is it?
Arguably safer with the same gpus since much more overhead
$75 for the same C tier psu
Oh $100 B tier 850 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tWMTwP/cooler-master-mwe-gold-850-v2-850-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-mpe-8501-afaag-us
I feel like I was gonna ask about a Segotep PSU but I forget the model
Gp?
segotep also has a line of modular psus
$30 off on Newegg
speculative b
So $70 actually
The 700w used to be $50, I would recommend that in budget builds a good bit when it was
Nah its $100 after $30 off
^
Pcp just stupid
My pick of any psu right now would be that one though, or wait for prime day/fantastech
Yeah I misread my bad
what about this one?
Spec b tier
oh
Also speculative b
Well, assumed b tier
so good enough
kinda mid then
It could be worse could not be
but like for that price
it can be c or b, but it won't kill your pc
Meh, cxm 750 same price
At this point all I’m asking for is a semi/fully modular PSU that isn’t a bomb
Or $10 more for the known b tier and 100w more
This is the best option atm
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tWMTwP/cooler-master-mwe-gold-850-v2-850-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-mpe-8501-afaag-us
I guess I’ll grab that when my paycheck comes around this week and the AIO I’ve been wanting
Z790 should be coming here soon too
The one I linked is on the tier list. 😘
spec tier c tho
This kit is fine, yes?
Good ram.
yep
I know Felix recommends it often
Having used 3 in builds with no issues. I'd say it should be c tier
So just was double checking
yeah
it's probably spec because it's not really that popular
or rather
not much testing
@light holly it's getting popular for sure though because of the price
well
I'd imagine it'll be one of the next ones they do.
I'd still trust the ones with more testing done on them
but hopefully they'll get around to testing it
Ordered this Saturday and hoping it’s not gonna come damaged like last time
maybe it's a hidden gem
thermaltake smart 💀
I meme on the thermaltake smart so much
but smart white ew
smart RGB
link the boards
One sec
I ordered the UD AX
Fantastech kinda trash this year ngl
yea
Other than some small psu discounts, everything is hella expensive still
ima hope that prime day isnt a big of a flop
in canada gpu/psu prices have barely changed
Yeah my hopes are up for prime day
At this point I’m just looking at peripherals for prime day
There have been some good deals there in the past but don’t wanna get my hopes up
i need a good ram deal they are hella expensive in canada
Like fantastech prices are either worse than Amazon for some or are just the presale deals
i mean when ram sales go from C$160 to C$140 and C$20 tax really makes no difference for me
quality ram (6000mhz cl28) in the us is like C$100 i have to pay C$40 for that
wtf are these fantastech deals 😭
lol
gpu’s in lower tier are on sale but that’s from before and during presale, mainly mid tier is mainly out of stock while some are in stock, and high tier is just at their all time lows
4060 ti's pricing is hilarious
I thought I saw a 1440p IPS monitor for 200$, just mislabeled in buildapc and it’s va :/
got a 4060 gonna come in abt 10 days
WHY
C$350 wasnt bad price for it
buy a 6750xt 😭
It itself is not ewaste but it's really a 4060 non ti and performs worse than a 3070 and slightly better than a 6700xt
Or 6700xt
That's terrible you should refund
but im broke
ya, 6750xt’s are same price as 6700xts rn in US
there’s some exceptions to like.. 2 gpus
?
Last i checked there was about a 40-50$ diff
i feel like the a750 has potential but the a770 rlly is getting the better driver updates
for C$330 it aint bad
amazon.com had a pretty good intel deal we dont get that in canada though
Okay it's not terrible but this is 10$ more and better
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/6jn9TW/xfx-speedster-swft-210-core-radeon-rx-7600-xt-8-gb-video-card-rx-76pswftfy
That Samsung buds deal came after I ordered JBL Tune 230NC for same price
id just get a 6650xt lol
7600 is a glorified 6600xt
Or that if they're cheaper i forgot to check them
i saw one for C$300 which was a great deal
That would have bee a lot better yea
i wanna get the starfield bundle tho
(In-store only) 5800x3d & rx6950xt for $1200
They still are actually
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/rfLFf7/msi-radeon-rx-6650-xt-8-gb-mech-2x-oc-video-card-radeon-rx-6650-xt-mech-2x-8g-oc
it gets released tommorow but as per usaual canada prob wont have it
Dayum
i’m just watching motherboard prices rn and i need to know which would be best
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/JJRYcf,wBfnTW,N6nypg/
Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX ATX LGA1700 Motherboard vs. Gigabyte B760M AORUS ELITE AX Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard vs. Gigabyte B760 GAMING X AX ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
they’re all practically the same, dunno if there’s any better options for same price.
unless you awnt to oc, the experience would be pretty much the same
z690 then?
do you care about ddr4 vs ddr5?
yeah, do you care about cpu ocing?
atp I'd go ddr5 9 times out of 10, as it's only about $25 more for a decent kit of ddr5 over cheap ddr4
this is just a future reference build, but planning ocing, ddr5 and so on.
this is pretty decent, just needs wifi https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pTbTwP/asrock-b760m-pro-rs-micro-atx-lga1700-motherboard-b760m-pro-rs
great for the price
i mean isn’t that just the same thing as the z690 or other b760
wait i didn’t see the price
oh you do plan to oc, sorry didn't read that part
the aorus elite is the cheapest option right now then, and it's a pretty decent mobo
I think it’s the ram hz or something?
and can't cpu oc at all
except for some b660s and b760s have bclk oc, but that's meh
there'll probably be some mobo deals on prime day
ya that’s what i’m primarily looking for
cause i could possibly snag one, keep it in my storage for 6 years and…
?
I don’t know how long it’ll take for me to upgrade is just what i’m saying
I mean, it’s ddr4.
asus tuf gaming z690
I plan on getting a new psu soon (used for 50$) then a gpu, might aswell upgrade to ddr5 unless I wait till black friday
and i’d spend a little less, if I resell my parts
I think it’s B tier?
no clue.
thought it was A tier, ill check in a bit
issue is that the guy who’s selling is missing all peripheral cables and the 2 out of 3 pcies
otherwise he’s got cpu and motherboard, with one pcie
issue is I have no clue what he had before he upgraded to a 1000w, and on his seller page there’s a 3080 for sale
B tier
3080 would be fine on that psu
It's a fine unit tho for 850w
yo guys would u get a refurbed corsair plat psu?
sf750
C$130
they dont specify which part had issues but it still has 5 yr warrenty
not planning for a 3080, just saying he had one on his page. i’m thinking 6800xt/6900xt used
though that gf1 850w for 100$ looks pretty good
there's this https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/3ZzhP6/lian-li-sp-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-sfx-power-supply-sp750
The lian li probs better
Iirc cables braided
So worth the $12 anyway
Grab a pack of combs for like $10 more you're decked out

the 7900?
oh
bro im actually soo sad they literally have everything but the parts i need
and like on amazing deals
really no point in paying extra for a new board unless you really wanna oc and by that time you might as well go ddr5
uhm that’s the point in buying a new board? 😭
ocing + ddr5?
honestly i wouldnt even
i see
yo felix should i return my 7700 and get a 7900 for C$70 more? idk i dont feel like it tbf but i still have time
I wouldn't personally
not unless youre doing rendering or something
you should spend that on a better gpu than the 4060
You trade off core scheduling for multi core power
i compile but i mean still 7700 should be good
Imo it's still an upgrade but fps won't be better if you wanted to
lol why do hate it soo much
idk besides i got it on a good deal dont wanna go over the whole thing with newegg again
Because it's overpriced for what it offers compared to last gen. It's literally the worst value.
unless you absolutely need cuda for cheap it doesnt make sense
it’s like what.. 5% better at almost double the cost of a 3060?
worse in some scenarios iirc lol
@azure pond 4k 144hz IPS, downside is 27", $427 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X9KWXVS
I Love this deal! Why would 27" be a downside, though? Would it be too much pixel density? In my experience, 32" leads to 4k looking grainy and blocky (or at least being able to see pixels more than 27")
EX2710U features HDRi for optimized color performance, detail contrast, and image clarity so games look their best and you see every strategic detail. Its bezel-less design opens screen space and eliminates distracting edges that can take your eyes off the action. Stay ahead of the game with 144H...
27" it's hard to see the difference between 1440p and 4k
so imo it's kinda not worth going 4k at 27"
Woah, I never realized that! How so?
just hard to see the difference in pixel density at that screen size
Which scren size would you recommend for 4k?
32+
seconded
Yeah I gotta get pretty close to my 27in 1440p to see pixels
about 16 inches away I don't see any pixels on mine
Same
woah, 32" it is, then!
wait wait wait
I think I've gone through my entire life without realizing why 4k is actually better
better is objective
It's better?
I recently switched from my 4k monitor to my 1080p 240hz monitor for cyberpunk purposes and can't really see that much of a difference besides massive peroformance gains
it requires a better gpu to get the same frames, or causes lower frames with same gpu. For some people it's worth it, others it isnt
