The only state I know of where if you work fast food you need to work for an hour just to pay for one meal

One of the states was like 18 dollars for a combo

Alaska or Hawaii probably, they don't count lol

Yea it's conneicut

Definitely a scam

grand orbit

@earnest ledge that rams about 10$ over the going rate for 3200mhz 32gb kit btw

Actually I think that ram is a scam too now that I look at it

I thought it was an official one

The $49 seller is the scam one

The $69 ones are legit but meh deal

#

It's always China too...

earnest ledge
#

Amazon made it look real, and official

#

it was even linked from the official store for that RAM brand

jolly inlet
#

And that's Amazon's fault really because of how their links work

#

You can be linked a page and you'll get the cheapest option available by default, so all a scammer has to do is offer it for 99 cents less and free shipping

They also reduced the visibility of the seller part it seems like

Likewise anyone know what the best deal on an ssd would be right now? Capacity isn't too important, as long as it's at least 500gb (it's for a boot drive) upgrading from an old fat ssd so any 2280s are probably going to be faster anyway

Hmm, to have an itx shared storage that's compact or a full sized tower shared storage for raw capacity

jolly inlet

I'd go ITX, you can always add smaller size, larger capacity storage later

If that's a 900 series chipset AM3+ board then you can boot from nvme with a pcie adapter

Or you can mod the bios on an older one to do so also

I remember the Asus Z11 case getting a bunch of bad reviews in the past. I guess that's why its $50.

The case was a pain in the ass to build in. The included fans were loud. GPU temps were higher than normal. With higher end components, they ran much hotter than average.

Its also huge for an ITX case. It can't hander 3 slot GPUs without the fans being on the glass panel.

i have a problem if anyone wants to help

#

Its regarding about the build i'm doing for an upgrade

#

its just the GPU

cinder kiln
#

@molten urchin ask away

molten urchin
#

soo this upgrade i'm doing but the only thing is teh GPU

#

i mean yess the 7900xtx is good and i look at the bottleneck on the 13700k

its abit up but then i lookin to the 4070ti and read bad reviews about it

jolly inlet

If you're looking at a bottleneck calculator, don't. They all suck.

cinder kiln

Ok quick question

molten urchin

and idk what other gpu is good for it

cinder kiln

How much have you bought of this

Build list

molten urchin

its an upgrade i'm doing since i have the z390 board

the rest i already have.

cinder kiln

Ok, a little confused

molten urchin

right now i have ddr4

molten urchin

i bought ddr5 board because i heard running

You bought the ddr5 then

Alr

molten urchin

right

cinder kiln

Is it the same kit in that list

molten urchin

let me put in my old build

64gb 6000 cl32

molten urchin

Just want to clarify before I give you a big list of instructions

molten urchin

okay

#

this is the old build

#

@cinder kiln

from the other upgrade build i'm doing are the one i'm switching

so the only thing what GPU is good for 13700k

cinder kiln
#

"This list is private"

#

I can't see 💀

molten urchin
#

my b

#

ok yeah

#

because the 7900xtx is good but i need to find what other GPU third party brand is good with it.

#

i know 4070ti is out of the question

cinder kiln
#

Alright let me clarify something

#

Is it an sn770 or sn750

molten urchin
#

right now is Sn770

cinder kiln
#

Ok awesome

molten urchin
#

and i want it to go with the new Board

cinder kiln
#

So one more question, what's this pc for

molten urchin
#

Gaming, Editing, Graphic design projects

#

Some what all the above

#

but Mid-High end

cinder kiln
#

Alright give me a few minutes

molten urchin
#

but due to the cpu i thing Mid abit high just for performance

#

and its only for the GPU

#

i need to figure it out what is good for this upgrade build

#

@cinder kiln I have these and all I need is gpu.

cinder kiln
#

Ok, you can keep the ram

molten urchin
cinder kiln
#

The other stuff I'd take back

#

And here's what I'd do

#

You'd save a few hundred for basically the same performance in everything

#

And you can still use your corsair aio

#

With the 13700k you'd have to replace the aio

#

Also that mobo albeit good costs a small fortune

#

For no real benefit over cheaper alternatives

#

The 980 pro is plagued with a firmware issue rn that's killing them left right and center. You can fix this issue by updating the firmware, but it's also just another case of not really good value

#

I can suggest a different mobo if aesthetics are your thing but you have a lot more budget to play with

#

Heck you could probably fit a 4090 if we were smart about this

molten urchin
#

I mean i heard bad stuff about AsRock though

cinder kiln
#

On intel? Yes

#

On AMD zen 4? They're like, the best

molten urchin
#

oooohhhhh

cinder kiln
#

Equal to like gigabyte

#

Ya they're very solid on AM5

#

But the big takeaway from this

#

You get basically 13700K perf minus a little bit, but you don't need a new cooler

#

A 13700k can't run on a H100i, not enough radiator to run it well

#

Let alone that it's old and will have not as optimal heat transfer as the newer ones

#

It'll run but like, not great

#

Lol

#

Meanwhile, 7900 just won't care cos it has a stupid low tdp

#

65W for the win

#

It'll run on a stock cooler if you wanted it to

molten urchin
#

also

#

here and addition i'll be using on my pc is streaming also

#

forgot to add that.

cinder kiln
#

It'll handle anything you throw at it

molten urchin
#

but i wanted like 6 usb slots lol

#

also thermal gaurd

cinder kiln
#

XTX is a very good card, it's just lacking in support in a few areas due to adoption

#

I can change the board

#

One sec

molten urchin
#

i know

#

which is why i ask what other cards that i can use if i can't afford the 7900xtx

cinder kiln
#

I mean, 7900 XT is still really nice

#

4070 Ti too

#

Idk who told you certain cards won't run but really they'll all run with this cpu

molten urchin
#

remember i heard cons on 4070ti

#

linus vid

#

lol

cinder kiln
#

Since you're doing a build for editing I'd suggest a 4070 ti tbh

#

Cos nvidia has better support

molten urchin
cinder kiln
#

Like, a used 3090 for $650 would be better imo

molten urchin
#

i mean yeah but wanted gaming

cinder kiln
#

Gaming they perform about the same

molten urchin
#

righ 3090 run better than 4070ti th ough

cinder kiln
#

You wouldn't notice which is which in a blind test

#

Taste?

#

Getting tired

#

💀

#

You could do that too I guess

molten urchin
#

right true

#

but isn't 3090 quite abit better on 4070ti due to benchmark?

#

i think 3000 series was better compare to 4000 series

cinder kiln
#

No, they perform about the same

#

4070ti is a little better

#

Like, maybe 5%-10%

#

Depends who you read from, some will say more

molten urchin
#

which is the problem. lol what read it from its there opinion

#

and making notes out of it.

cinder kiln
#

Well the other thing is a 4070Ti costs 799 while a used 3090 can be much cheaper

#

Much more than 10% cheaper

molten urchin
#

depends on the third party

#

and also marketing for cards right now isn't all that great

cinder kiln
#

Ye

cinder kiln
#

Ok we don't ever buy strix 💀

#

Try a 799 TUF

molten urchin
#

compare 3090 its like 1.2k

cinder kiln
#

Nah man, used market

molten urchin
#

i heard about the tuf

cinder kiln
#

Don't buy one new

#

Used 3090 goes for sub 700

grand orbit
#

Almost 1k 4070ti? You'd have to be bonkers

molten urchin
#

i'm not much of used kind of guy lol due to other people using the stuff they bought and use.

cinder kiln
#

All 4070 Ti are built way beyond what they are needed to do

#

So any 4070 Ti is good quality

#

Even the bad brands

#

/models

#

Etc

#

Cheapest 4070 Ti is the best one

cinder kiln
#

Or if you're okay with less than ideal support for stuff like blender then an XTX is a phenomenal choice imo, the asrock.card is the best and it's also the cheapest

molten urchin
#

and you told AsRock on intel doesn't goes well. gotcha

jolly inlet

cinder kiln
#

And I figured you'd like that cos corsair everything lolol

molten urchin
#

Corsair AIO i heard is really good

cinder kiln
#

Meh

#

They are meh

molten urchin
#

rpm is like 2400k

cinder kiln
#

But if you like what you have I'll happily work with it

molten urchin
#

but you said about the AIO though lol

#

and i agree

#

since its like 3-4 years old

cinder kiln
#

Ya you need a new one

#

If you stick with 13700k

#

H100i is good up to 12600K imo

grand orbit
#

240mm aio?

cinder kiln
#

Ye

#

240 and old

grand orbit
#

13600k would do

molten urchin
#

this one i have now

cinder kiln
#

13600K is a stretch

grand orbit
#

It'd be fine

cinder kiln
#

You could

#

Bruv

#

Like you with the zero overclocking d15

#

💀

grand orbit
#

Exactly

cinder kiln
#

Unlike you this man's bought a $280 overclocking board

grand orbit
#

I actually did have oc just linusing the cpu made oopsie

cinder kiln
#

So running short on the aio would be scuffed
