Lightning is only USB 2.0 so you might as well just use a lightning to USB A adapter, then plug the SSD enclosure into that. Or USB C, whichever the enclosure uses.

Kind of a weird question, i was playing around with frequencies and waves on my phone (s21) using an app for no big reason, and i noticed 3.5~3.8kHz has a very high pitch and is also extremely loud at max volume, almost as a fire alarm. So i was wondering if such mix of freq and volume could actually damage the speaker over time or cause immediate damage, are phone speakers in general capable of damaging themselves if blasted with these sounds?
I haven't noticed any sort of differences after deafening myself with these sounds so i guess theyre ok (*ok for the speakers), also very impressed by how powerful they are

I know there's kernel level mods you can use with xposed framework that boost the volume so I know the speakers are capable of much higher volumes. As for whether that'll damage it, probably not in the short term but might reduce life long term.

Well 4070 to start with just isn't really worth it over 4060. 13700hx has worse perf per watt than 7535hs. I'd have taken the Legion refurb at $870 and sold the one you had any day of the week over that trade to be honest.
It isn't worth looking back and regretting, the trade is done and that's the end of the story. Be happy with what you have and don't bother with thinking about it

That's the wrong voltage power supply, the original is 19.5V (150/7.7=19.48) and the new one is 18.9V (180/9.5=18.94) so yes it's quite likely the power brick is the problem

Yes there's usually a +/-10% error range but that doesn't mean it won't trip some sort of safety logic on the board or in the bios
Especially if it's an OEM like Dell or HP that likes to strictly control everything. I think at one point HP had chips in their power bricks to identify itself through voltage pulses when plugged in.

I was always so diligent on making sure my game didn't update but today I got an error and steam force downloaded the update. Now none of my mods are working.
Oh and apparently they changed the .esl format so that broke every save game. I'm done. Bye skyrim, it's been a fun 12 years.

I have an issue with my rog strix g18 (2023), sometimes the laptop doesnt post and battery light blinks orange, after some fans start to speed up
when this happens the only way of fixing it is holding down the power button for ~20 secs and then starting the laptop again

That's because on the 2 wire battery, one wire handles both the charging and measuring. On the 3 wire those functions are separated.
You might be able to solder an additional wire with the correct impedance resistor to replace the missing third wire but I do not recommend this method.

Basically, i cant charge my laptop. When i do try to charge my laptop, it still turns on but clearly theres a cutoff where it cant keep the power, ive replaced the battery pack and it clearly can still use the battery but once the battery pack ran out of power it too stopped working without being plugged in. Is there something wrong with the charging port maybe? My mom offered to take it to a place a couple years back and when she did it came back basically worse off, and with eletric tape covering random places and even a spot where they broke the hard drive case.

Both, and coax is heavily shielded. (most of the thickness is shielding with only a tiny core of metal) Cable installers are notorious for ignoring any kind of code in favor of taking shortcuts.

I cannot run the cables .3m apart, otherwise the 2nd duct would have to be basically an knee height on the wall. Is it ok if I then add another duct below (3cm) and run the cable there? I'm guessing that safety would not be a concern with plastic ducts in between. Testing out the connection can't hurt either

I'm mostly going by what is industry standard and what building code demands. You won't pass a building inspection with high voltage so close to low voltage, but that probably won't matter to you.
Basically, do what you want.

Does anyone know how to view version history of drivers/firmware on Dell's site? It's a pain searching up each potential version of a firmware/driver in the browser just to get update logs, or install older version.
Should be like 5 - 6 firmware versions for DWF but I can only ever find the newest (same deal for any other Dell product I've searched recently-ish)

Most displays almost never get firmware updates and arent user updateable. Some displays have drivers, but still usually dont get updates.
Usually only higher end ones do get user downloadable stuff, to fix some feature like HDR

I am trying to figure out a plug and play solution (plug and play after setup, I don't mind writing scripts and such to set it up) for streaming video to like, zoom or YouTube, and also have a local recording, with as little human input as possible because the people using this system is not tech literate at all (they don't even know how to start a zoom meeting apparently) and I'm unavailable to help them set it up when they are using it
Current system is streaming to zoom, maybe I'll try to get them to stream to youtube
