I had to cover the card number to show the other customers it wasn't a race thing, it was my card, as they all were at first backing the screaming woman up, until I was able to explain it.

It was just luck that it was the slow part of the day. Only had one normal register open, and self check out, so was 50/50 chance.

Oh, not even an hour later, one of our staff was arrested. I didn't even get enough time between the theif being led back, and police coming to even ask where she got my card. Turns out, one of the supervisors was using the main locker key and taking cards and cash from our lockers in the break room during morning clean up, and cameras caught her handing off the cards to that woman.

I have a few virtual cards, but mainly, I have my own system to stop getting ripped off. My main account has no direct card attached to it. If seller tries to charge more, or sneak in a rebill, the card declines. The next time I buy something, I use a different debit card. This way I don't run the risk of funds being taken, meant for another sale. Example, if I buy 4 cases of soda from Amazon for $45, if place another order for $60, I use a different account. This way if that $45 sale changes price during shipping, like $45 changes to $80, it will decline. Had I put the $60 sale on same card, I run the risk of $20 being taking from the $60 I transfer over.

Oh, last new feature they added recently, is online sale maximums. I set mine to $1.00. every online sale where card isn't present, I get a text message from my bank asking me if I approve it to my phone. If I ignore message or type N for no, that sale declines.

Uses the finger print scanner too for double security. That sadly, doesn't stop someone from taking my hand and using it lol.

The worst scams were fake gift checks back in the days. Scammers would send $5 or $10 refund checks that many people wouldn't think twice on depositing. Once the check got back to the scammer, they would use the account info printed on back from processing, and make a bogus check or debit, to empty out ones account. That's why banks switched to image system with encryption, to stop account info making it back to scammers.

You can repair that usually, with the right tools. Sometimes it's just dirty contacts inside the cartridge itself but other times the data really is corrupt and needs to be reflashed.

I tried to do a bios factory reset on my Noxia x100, and its actually locked on this model. Phone has an infection so wanted to do a full reset without booting into the desktop, as this infection is getting carried over, and first thing it does, is kill the entire icon drawer, so you can't access any applications. The developer way is to hold power and volume down, but branch that leads to factory reset as I said above, locked out.

Look at your SD card and see if there is a little tab that you can move. If you have one, it'll say "LOCK" next to it. Whatever position it is.. switch it to the opposite and you should be good to go.

Depending on your ways of travel remote work may not be that ideal, but if remote work is ideal I would recommend considering laptop+desktop way.

Was the hinge issue said as a general MSI issue or for this specific laptop model? If people were complaining about last generation's model for example, those complaints won't always be applicable to the current generation. If people were complaining about this specific model then it could be an issue to look out for. I don't know laptop specifics much so I can't give much insight on this.

I have a recent TV with chromecast and HDMI eARC output capabilites. I need to connect it (for sound only) to an older 7.1 receiver with HDMI input, but no NON-eARC/ARC compatibility. For the monent, I use Spdif, but it's limited to 5.1.

They design them to resist bypasses in case it's stolen. How much you can do with it depends on the type of lock, there's several. Pre boot, lock screen, and settings are the main types of lock.

Ok, with keyboard unplugged and switch pulled out.. Take a qtip with the ISO and swab in and around where the switch goes. Also swab the bottome of the switch itself. Let dry. Put back together and see if it works.
