The SP can play all the games.
kinda cringe tbh
Yeah
the gba flash cards emulate gb and gbc games
they run and look like crap
sound is awful
i mean, you can get a GBC flash cart and use it with your gba
then its fine
Sucks cause the DSi has GBA software locked so I can't do GBA emulation
I've got the R4 card in my DS Lite, makes a pretty handy retro console but I prefer older games on their original screens
Might see if there's a way to jailbreak the DSi even though the store is closed.
i love seeing the rTFT pixel grid on my gbc, would never replace it with anything else
same goes for the sp
altho i do have an ags 101 i use from time to time
What I don't understand. Is why people are using the Steam Deck for emulation of retro consoles. 🤔
Like, huge screen with a fairly low resolution.
Good for Xbox and ps3 emulation of course. But N64 and older? Pssshh
Don't they have phones xP
lol
some ppl just dont care ig
unless they getting it for the sole purpose of emulation
thats wacky
"here's this device that can play tons of pc games"
plays N64 games that they could play on their phone the same way
no it’s a literal link that just randomly opens
Could it be a google games notification or something
Check notification settings and see what apps can show notifications
i might be stretching this server's use
but anyone know about good electric scooters?
Can someone recommend me some laptops for college? I just want it to be light and have a good battery life
under $1000
is this usd, aud, or cad?
usd
There is an escooter discord. Want me to DM you invite link?
Im good, already bought one
Hey I recently just bought a deepcool castl;e 240ex and realized that I couldn't connec the RGB as I only have two 4 pin RGB headers on my motherboard. I found these two products to resolve my solution and was wondering what would be a better buy.
Neither, as they are not newegg links.
Ok I bought a tp link TL-WN823N WiFi adapter how do I connect it to 5ghz when I go into settings it shows the network name is the tplink 5ghz but when I click it it shows its the 2.4ghz
have u tried turning it off and on
How far are you from the router? If you're too far the 5ghz band won't have good signal integrity and it'll fall back to 2.4ghz
Funny thing is that the box says 802.11/n but it won't connect to it
Hey, are Microsoft Surfaces actually good laptops and tablets?
I just wanna to know what makes the prices justified.
idk but I’m not about to pay nearly $1K for 128GB of storage with a low-powered i3
or that’s how it feels with those devices
also maybe just two USB C ports and a 3.5mm jack
(also how it feels when buying. I actually don’t know the specs)
I have two Surfaces: (1) the Surfacebook3 and (2) the SurfaceGo2. The Surfacebook3 is this kind of weird tablet/laptop hybrid that's pretty cool in theory since you can remove the screen to be a huge tablet but it's a thermal nightmare. even with hyperthreading disabled, it's constantly hitting TJ max. The SurfaceGo2 is admittedly one of the lower end Surface devices, but it's 2 core/4 threads running DDR3.
the 1660ti in it isn't bad
for like 3 minutes until it gets way too hot
btw to put it into perspective, here's how the SB3 & SG2 compare to other computers I have on Cinebench R23 multi-core. Keep in mind, the Intel i7 6700HQ is an ancient 2016 ASUS laptop
So what you're saying is it might be good if you tape an ice pack to it?
ain’t no way bruh
possibly yes
they're meh at best
basically
overheats easily, hinge might not last you 4 years on pro models
bro they coated EACH STRAND INDIVIDUALLY
how the hell am i supposed to solder to this when none of this is conductive
This doesn't look half bad
Dell XPS 13 7390 Laptop 13.3" FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge Touch Display 8GB LPDDR3 256GB M.2 PCIe Intel(R) UHD Graphics https://a.co/d/egYgWfl
The new iMac doesn't look bad at all
ah okay. So they are junk then?
Easy. Just untwist all the strands, strip each one, then twist them back together.
I don't think they're necessarily bad, they tend to be expensive tho. It depends on your use case, i.e., I wouldn't try to game on one
oh no. If I wanted to game on a laptop for that much money, I rather use the funds for an actual gaming laptop.
so for like office and browsing? what about other applications?
I haven't used many. I use my desktops unless I'm at school. It works alright for Adobe. Oculus it was getting its ass kicked
my biggest gripe with it is the thermal performance
if it cooled well, I'd have little to complain about
other than it's pretty much impossible to upgrade the RAM or storage
it's one of those laptops that's glued together
Well, I am looking for a tablet/laptop type of computer, but I would like to have Windows on it.
like Apple tech?
Before I got it, I was looking at the Samsung galaxy book. I'm not really sure why I ended up going with the Surfacebook3
I guess it was the gimmick of taking the top off as a tablet
but it's really rare that I use that feature
I like Android OS since I have a Samsung phone, but I haven't really used iOS.
tablet/laptop it might've been perfect if it didn't get so darn hot so quickly
Yeah, sounds like a major issue. I don't want to get it if it is gonna consistently heat up on simple tasks.
I can mitigate it a bit using ThrottleStop to clip the TDP (limit the amount of wattage the system can use) but that's not practical & the performance difference is noticeable
I really don't know how good or bad the surface laptops are besides the Surfacebooks. they might be much better thermally since the CPU & other main components are in the base instead of the sccreen
the surfacebooks have the discrete GPU & an additional battery in the base but the other components are behind the monitor in the top
I am guessing you cannot upgrade the storage in the Surface Pro tablets
I am looking at one of the Surface laptops and it says it has a removable SSD
the consolation prize on the SurfaceGo2 is you can add an SD card
oh okay that's different than mine
ah okay. That's nice to have. One of the reasons why I like Samsung phones.
can you get to the SSD without using a heat gun to remove the plastic?
I keep a 128gb flash drive in my Surfacebook3 because it only has a 256gb storage drive
well, I just saw the little footnote for the removable storage... yeah, it says it requires a skilled technician...
ya it's really risky
I watched the breakdown of mine & the risk of breaking the screen isn't worth it imo
unless you're used to taking apart phones, tablets, etc.
If this wasn't so expensive, it would be a great way to add storage without having something hanging out of the device or taking it apart https://www.amazon.com/NinjaDrive-Aluminum-Storage-Expansion-Microsoft/dp/B07F68VDJ2/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?
What is so special about NinjaDrive 256GB? Provide more disk space - Feel like you never have enough disk space on Surface Book / Surface book 2 13.5"? NinjaDrive 256GB is designed to become that extra and permanent disk space for your Surface Book / Surface Book 2 13.5". The exterior is made out...
damn, I wish I'd gone with one of those instead of the Surfacebook3
that's definitely more of a tablet tho
since it's a 13.4" the keyboard is probably closer to normal size. I have a difficult time typing on the SurfaceGo2 because the keyboard is so darn small
the one intel i9 with 1TB is over $3,200
for Surface or the ROG tablets?
the Asus tablet I posted
oh okay. ya they're not cheap
to me it seems to make more sense to go with a laptop or even build a desktop for that kind of money
but if the focus is portability, you can't get much better than those ROG tablets
well... maybe a laptop still
yeah, the tablet version of a gaming laptop sounds more convenient and compacted
but I am not willing to pay that much right now.
true but you'd probably need a controller to actually game lol
& the mobile versions of GPUs are considerably worse performance-wise than the desktop counterpart
eh, I don't mind. I mean I have to do it with some games on my current laptop.
I see. I really prefer a desktop but I don't have to travel frequently or anything like that (yet at least)
the cost to performance ratio is way better on a desktop
I noticed, but I am mainly want to replacing my current laptop for a school/work laptop. I am gonna be getting a dedicated gaming desktop for gaming.
If I could do it all over again, I'd get a cheap laptop & put the extra $ into the desktop

Pretty cool
it better be pretty cool
(the joke: Minisforum is known for hot mini PCs)
I mean its just a laptop in a mini pc form
theres definitely markets for this tho
add it as another node
Exactly.
I'm not sure where to ask about phone connection problems so I'll post the question here
I'm having some issues with my connection, whenever I'm not connected to the home WiFi or I'm outside using mobile data I get pretty good speeds (up to 40mbps both download & upload) however when I open some of the usual applications that require internet (such as YouTube, discord, or even sending messages via whatsapp/telegram) it doesn't work or its just slow, they keep saying "you are offline"/"connecting..."/"sending message..."
What could be the cause?
Sometimes I get this problem when using 4G in some zones (even if it offers higher speeds compared to 3G) so I switch to 3G and it usually works fine (even if I get less than 10mbps) but now it's happening with both
Anyone know the best eNotetaking devices? I've heard of Remarkable 2, but it does have a subscription fee for their cloud service, but any other suggestions out there? I am an apple user though, and don't have an iPad, not sure if that's worth investing in.
A base model ipad with apple pencil is exceptional for note taking with apps like notability
I use one through school for a year or 2
Anyone know a decent wall adapter to usb charging port or like amazon or walmart or something?
My wall adapter broke and now I can only charge my phone in my usb headers on my pc.
Just whichever one has the profile/price/amount of ports/usb a or c suits you
Can any usb a wall adapter be used with a usb port while plugged into a surge protector?
Ye as long as it fits the profile
Make ure it is a minimum of 2amps
Honestly 10w is pretty close to the sweet spot imo, i have to charge my phone at 35w every night because that's the one in the box, they really need a switch or something
A wall... wart?
Thats funny lol
I find Amazon basics braided cables to be phenomenal. I imagine their "wall warts" are pretty good as well.
Amazon basicss?
Amazon's own generic brand.
I looked at their products a few times they look sketchy haha.
I'll check their wall plugs out.
Tbh their braided cables are really good. Even survived my pup chewing on it long enough for me to catch him.

I have no issues with it even 6 months later. I have since bought 2 more.
Are you sure that's fine that seems dangerous.
I mean. I use it everyday all day for the last 6 months.
Braided cables as in iphone charging?
No wires are showing.
A braided cable is a charging cord that has braided fibers around what a normal cord has.
Making it resistant to a lot of stuff.
My grandparents uses like an old one with wires all sticking out I keep warning them but they won't listen.
Ahh I see.
I bought one of those braided cables on amazon too it lasted like less than 4 months I think.
I'll try the amazon basics one.
Show me which one you are thinking of getting
You using iPhone lightning charger or an android type c charger?

Apparently this one is good.
I was using a iphone lightning braided cable.
They came in like a 2 pack.
Oh yeah Anker is a good brand.
You oughta look for a USB type c to lightning cable with a type c wall base.
Ahh that's too new for me.
That'll be overall better.
I'm a boomer I still use usb a.
How old are you?
Would you only use the wall part for your phone?
Ah ok. Yeah get that Anker one you linked.
They are a good brand for charging/battery stuff
Guessing its best to ask here. Does anyone make a decent 4mm electric driver? I have my iFixit kits, which are great, but sometimes turning's the biggest headache.
I can't remember what JTC has, but he got it on Amazon for like $10. Said he's used it for 5+ years. I'll try to find out what brand
So it looks like the one that he uses is no longer available except on ebay for a ridiculous amount. I did however find this one that is basically the same thing, just a different brand.

Anybody have an Elgato Stream Deck?
no
Incidentally I do have an XL one of those.
This also doesn't look like a 4mm driver but a full sized one.
Big right to repair win
Maybe Apple is starting to see writing on the wall?
Good move on their part regardless.
what brand is it
most likely its not
if it's razer or corsair or hyperx, it won't be
most brands it won't be
Or Logitech afaik
ah sorry, I was just tryna help 😛
Do you know how I can make a button that will activate a hotkey in a window/program that is not my active window?
That almost doesn't make sense to me..
What I want to do is make a button that will press the num5 in one of my games even if it is not the window that I'm currently viewing.
Essentially I just want to be able to hit my crafting macro that's bound to my num5 without having to click into my game.
The best way I could think of that is to figure out if the program is singleton or not. If it is, you can "launch it", wait a moment, have it press 5, then alt tab back.
What do you mean by singleton?
If you launch the program, then try to launch it a second time, does it just switch to the window that is inhabits, or does it try to run again?
Ok, so it's FF14.. There is a launcher that open from the .exe. When I log in, it closes the launcher and opens a new window.
The one on the left is the launcher exe
Oh. Okay, now that's throws a wrench into it a bit.
the one on the right is the new window that pops up with the actual game
Let me fiddle with the idea a moment. Hang tight.
I appreciate you so much dude. I've asked in the Elgato server 3 times in the past few days and not a single answer/response from anyone
Like I don't even exist lol
Do you mind if I add you just in case I have any questions in the future? It all mostly seems cut and dry and I've watched a ton of tutorials, but none of them touched on what I am wanting to do.
I don't have XIV installed, so you'll have to help me out a bit. This is what I mentioned before:
Substitute FFXIV's proper executable for FFXI's polboot and it might work. We would have to run an experiment on it though.
how do I do that? idk what a polboot is lol
FFXI's launcher. Closest thing I had to FFXIV on my rig.
Anyway, open task manager for me and find the FFXIV executable for me.
this?
Close, but I need a different column.
it is called ffxiv_dx11
Right click on the columns, add "Command Line", then get that info.
ok
there is a hecka long string of random characters that I can even expand the window/column wide enough to see it alll
Okay, right click on that, go to "File Location".
Double click on it, see what happens.
Yup. Relies on the bootloader or bricks. So we need a way to change windows reliably. Let's see...
so when I manually alt tab while in the game, it doesn't move me back to the previous window
it just pops up with all my open windows then when I let go it pops my game back to the forefront
Reminds me of the old FFXI anti-RMT thing.
ah. I hope I can get this figured out. It would help me so much when I'm tired and watching movies and talking in discord lol
Oh here you go: https://github.com/BarRaider/streamdeck-windowsmover
hm.. controlling the position?
Being on top is a position.
The guy that first introduced me to the stream deck is the one who told me this was possible. He finally responded to my DMs
He is gonna get on VC I guess and explain how I can do it
I'm gonna get no sleep before work today xD
Can't wait.
It seems that the issue that we were having is the same with what we were dealing with. He is going to talk to another mod of SignalRGB who has a Stream Deck and is hecka knowledgable about it and see what he says/comes up with.
I however am going to bed. I have work in 6 hours.
i have a ducky one 2 keybooard altough i dont know which
ducky one 2 is hotswap
mid keyboards tbh

Why is it 349$?
My Ayn Odin Pro was cheaper and it has a better snapdragon in it 🙄
I was hoping it'd be like 200$
Oof, it looks very nice aesthetically tho lol
Yea
But they put it at the same price point as the switch Oled. (full price)
This is a huge issue. Parents would rather get their kids a switch than a streaming device. And most adults already have a phone. So why would the average consumer go to get a dedicated one? Not everyone's like me :p
Those android controllers aren't too pricey
I have no idea tbh
They made the same mistake Anbernic did :')
logitech gaming console?
Yes
It's for Cloud Gaming but can run android games.
oh
I'm not sure of the 720g's performance but I know it is a budget soc
Mhm
Exactly lol.
~290$ for the Ayn Odin with sd845
Or a switch oled for 349$ 😂
My guess is they are targeting the streaming enthusiasts. But why wouldn't they have wifi 6?
399$ for the Steam Deck (:
Doesn't matter
Doesn't matter
does the game have any crash logs
Can someone please tell me what those 6 pin RGB male and female connectors are called? Trying to find the parts so I can redirect the power from the rgb conntroller, or actually the fans that plug into the controller, and have the controller only deal with the RGB lighting, and let the motherboard fan headers control the actual fan speed. I don't like having to use a remote, when my new $400 motherboard has the ability to control the speeds itself, and the connectors and sockets are such a wierd size, their not listed under fan headers like normal.
That's a proprietary connector, it doesn't really have a name. Does it look like this?
Yes!!! That's exactly the connector, but the name has been a pain to look up. Searched been only showing normal header pins and sockets. Quite maddening.
Its just called a 6-pin rgb
Problem is that's fan control AND rgb in one wire
So what you probably need is this
Or this
I was not the one who built my computer (stupid, I know), although I know how pretty much everything is set up in there and have messed with it several times. Something I've never touched (or hadn't until recently), though, is the RGB controller the 3 fans in front of my case are connected to...
Look in there and see if thats closer to what you need.
You mean the fan motor and RGB share a common return?
This would work def, but then you'd be daisy chaining a bunch.
Well, how many of those fans do you have? If more than 3 go for the hub
And which fan exactly so we know if it's 5V or 12V
The motor and rgb have different power inputs.
What I need to do is reroute the rgb fans power source to the motherboard, and let the controller only deal with the RGB effects. I saw the 5 pin shared a common return, and just took a 6 pin fan apart, but haven't gotten a chance to meter the connections yet.
This is the wire layout
It cables exist already to do this, that's a huge plus. Thanks. Some companies move pins around but it's simple to take them out, and set in correct configuration for the fan motor input
So it's the 5V version for sure? Don't want things blowing up on you
That's only 200 pixels wide I can't read any of it
Now that's a 12V rgb highlighted
Idk that this helps. I thought it was something else.
Six pin, and GIM changes the pin configuration so other fans don't work with their controller, but that above information helps me greatly so I don't fry anything
Things can catch fire if you use the wrong cable/hub so which model is the fan exactly, off the fan itself
Not all of us have 50/50 vision jeez reo
One sec, I'll get exact model
GIM KB-11 RGB Case Fan 120mm Fan Single Pack https://a.co/d/aIKx1c1
It's a 12 volt fan.
Brb, checking the motherboard fan pin ratings.
The fan is 12v yes but it doesn't say what the rgb is
If its just rgb, wouldn't it be 12v?
Ok found another site that confirms 5V argb
How many fans was this going to be for?
Yes their website
I'm skeptical. That listing says for the normal rgb ones, but the pics correlate with the pro version on Amazon that does list them as 5v.
I searched the model number and got that
Same.
Its just a company that I've not seen before.
So I'm skeptical about the wierdness.
I kinda like @glacial haven and would hate for him to blow up.
Unlike @small meadow . I could launch a nuke on him and still sleep like a babe.

Aorus Master states it's 12v on the 3 pin
3 pin is 5V though
I don't connect anything till I meter every pin and every line
The rgb is I mean, the fan 3 pin is 12V
RGB I'm letting continue to the GIM controller. I just want to reroute five fans to their proper motherboard headers so the motherboard can control the speeds for the right areas. A remote to change all fans is just too sloppy
If video card area is too hot, I want the motherboard to speed the nearby fans up.
I found a controller that should work for both rgb and fans with mobo connectors for both, but it's in the uk
Delivery costs as much as the item lol
Right, but as I understand it your controller doesn't have fan speed signal to the mobo
Sadly no, it doesn't. It has RGB to motherboard, but far as speed goes, only options the remote.
This one does but I'm trying to find one similar that's not in uk https://www.amazon.co.uk/SaharaGaming-Controller-ports-strip-Cooler/dp/B08NPQZ146
If I transfer the lines to the fan pins on the motherboard, would assume the motherboard can speed up or slow down individual fans on each header
One header is treated as one fan on the mobo
So one controller is globally controlled by the single header
System holds 12 fans, five of which I want to connect to separate fan headers.
Get 2 hubs
The controller doesn't use fan header, it uses SATA
Yeah, I mean 2 of the one I linked once I find one in US
Then you can have 1 control 7 and the other control 5
It's like they have that controller in every country except the US, I found it in Columbia ffs
I'm going to draw up a schematic to show what I'm doing. I don't mind the controller taking over the RGB effects. The Motherboard is loaded with fan headers that I'd like to transfer least 5 fans to, just for fan speed control
It amazes me that GIM actually changed that fan. I had an earlier version that did go to MB fan header.
Never underestimate no name brands and cost cutting
Leaving that 5 cents worth of wire off saves them tens of dollars
What's interesting, the motor has 3 wires going to it. Not 2.
That's either tachometer or pwm for the third
usually tach
But splitters can skip the tach and just do pwm so it's not unheard of
At this point it's probably cheaper and easier to just splice the damn things
One of the biggest reasons I caught the other fan type with 5 pins sharing the return, you don't see it in the wiring, and could easily make a deadly mistake but caught it first go, as the wiring itself wasn't where I found the common return, it was the PCB connected to the motor. It was a 3 layer PCB, not the normal top and sometimes bottom.
Popping two pins out and using a header extension is what I did in my old unit
So there was a ground plane between? Sneaky
I really need to get some sleep before I have to get up in 4 hours so I'm off
Me too lol. Thanks for the information. This will help me greatly!!!
Going to be a lot easier to make the cables. Took the GIM motor out with it's cables, the ones at first didn't know the voltages because the controller changed them around so no one else's fans work with it. The fan PCB under the blade, had all the voltages and info marked by silk screen. Simple matter of just de-pining the first two pins, swapping them into a header plug extension

Ask in #peripherals-and-displays
ok
I'm not sure where to ask about phone connection problems so I'll post the question here
I'm having some issues with my connection, whenever I'm not connected to the home WiFi or I'm outside using mobile data I get pretty good speeds (up to 40mbps both download & upload) however when I open some of the usual applications that require internet (such as YouTube, discord, or even sending messages via whatsapp/telegram) it doesn't work or its just slow, they keep saying "you are offline"/"connecting..."/"sending message..."
Sometimes I get this problem when using 4G in some zones (even if it offers higher speeds compared to 3G) so I switch to 3G and it usually works fine (even if I get less than 10mbps) but now it's happening with both
Post your speedtest results from your mobile data please
Also, I would like to know how many bars of service you have.
My guess would be terrible ping or jitter
4G (LTE)
3G+
Hm. Have you tried turning phone off and back on?
Now I'm not getting that problem, it looks like it's working fine with both but sometimes I get good speed, even 50mbps but everything is slow
Basically every night
Ok. Well stop turning your phone off.
Doesn't change, even airplane mode to reconnect to nearest cell tower
I'll send connection speed results from another zone when I encounter problems with loading/ messages not sending...
Ok. Have you tried clearing your phones cache?
If its happening in certain areas, check your signal. If its fine you might be in an area where your phone is trying to bounce off of 2 towers.
What phone you have?
Always 3-4 signal bars, my provider covers pretty much everywhere
Realme 5
For example at my school I have these problems, 4G gets 14-20mbps but literally does nothing
Inside the school? That could be due to the material used to make the school building.
Yeah, I've thought about that but I guess that should not make a difference if I'm able to get 20mbps and no ping/jitter problems
What cell provider is that? If it's not one of the big 3 your data speed is being de-prioritized
I have an Italian data provider and it's based off one of the bigger ones
"Based off" means you're playing second fiddle, if not third
If the primary provider is congested your speed will be reduced
Another possibility is network upgrades in the area, we had issues when they were upgrading to 5G for a few weeks here
Yeah but how is it possible if I'm gettin 60mbps in some zones
Shouldn't I get 60 if the speed test shows 60?
Also another question, is there a way to not limit browser/chrome download speed, I'm only getting ¼ of my WiFi speed when downloading
Speedtest uses multiple nearby servers to give you a theoretical max speed. Actual speed will vary based on who you're connecting to.
This is not a thing in eu i think laws against it
Or at least if there's not I've had 0 problems with companies that rent tower space
Remember mbps != Mb/s
Well they've done it in the US for as long as there's been secondary providers 🤷♂️
No?
mbps = Mb/s ≠ MB/s
I guess
I don't use the stupid capitalisation one tbh idk which is which
it's just about the "b" b bite and B byte
Mb/s = megabyte per sec
Mbps megabit per sec
I've always used like this
mbps = Mb/s (⅛ megabyte)
MB/s = 8mbps or Mb/s
I hate the capitalisation one its so dumb
Just checked, it's correct to use mbps & Mb/s as megaBIT
I don't know why but they use lowercase m but that doesn't make a diff
It's always MEGA
m = M
But of course to people that don't understand these things I usually say "megabits or megabytes"
Little recap
M or m, no difference, I'd personally use M.
Mbps = Mb/s... "p"=/
MB = megabyte (MB/s)
Mb= megabit (Mb/s or Mbps), you could use MBps too.
MB÷8 = Mb
I also hate differentiation between the caps and not because of auto capitalisation
Anyway
I got yelled at by Hay for this. I too think it's dumb, but Mb/s IS mbps and MB/s IS megabyte per second.
^ he got it
i mean it's interchangeable
Bits and Bytes lmao
My iPad says it has lte when I’m not connected to wifi but I don’t have a carrier or any cellular data setup on my iPad, ik it’s from any of my other devices and the lte on the iPad doesn’t even work
Is there any reason for this happening ?
It can be connected to a tower and have no data provisioned, so you can possibly still access things like the carrier website to pay your bill.
I keep forgetting to charge my laptop for college while at home are there any sub €80 power banks with wall outlets/ ways to get a usb c to convert to ideapad 320 ( laptop has usb c but unfortunately doesnt allow charging through it :/)
4-Port 65W USB C Charger UGREEN 65W USB C GaN Charger, offers power supply for devices such as laptop, tablet, phones with total output of 65Watt. 4 Port USB C PD Charger, 3 USB-C ports and a USB port, allocates the power smartly, offers optimum charging power for 4 devices. The 65W USB C Charger ...
top usb c port sends 65w max if you use no other ports, but it's worked great for me
I thought about this but this wouldn't work because i have to use a barrel charger, so unless the power bank has a plug socket it wont work :/
oh shoot ic
I found some adapters that might work?
my new laptop would only need a 180W barrel plug
Something like this might work idk tho? https://amzn.eu/d/3Kwiq4E
USB-C female (type C) for DC 4.0 * 1.7mm power PD charging cable, suitable for HP laptop 18-20V, length: 0.2 m. Built-in PD emulator trigger at female end of type C. Video input: Type C socket, 65W-100W Type-C charger. Output: Laptop plug, DC 18V-20V (5V not supported). Use it with the 65W-100W T...
might work
just so you know how the charging is distributed if you buy it
Thanks
uk website doesnt have that apparently
I have a power bank atm like that's not the problem it's that it needs an ac output unless i can use an adaptor like the one i linked
my old laptop worked just fine using an adapter to usb c
but it's a bit of a gamble tbh
It's just getting usb c to the barrel connector or something
I'll give it a shot i guess
the one you linked is pretty much 4 star so it should be okay
The thing that really annoys me is there's usb c on the laptop just doesn't accept charge (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
YEAH SAME
Yeah worth a shot
the adapter i bought for my old laptop was a solid 4 stars as well
Nice 🤞
not barrel but theoretically is same idea
And a lot of lecture halls don't have plugs either so yeah that should hopefully fix the issue
Get a car battery charger that has the 12V DC outlet and a DC-AC inverter
It should fit in your backpack and will have a lot more charge than most battery banks
That sounds very heavy?
It doesn't need to be massive, there's smaller ones
Hmmm
I am trying to cycle most days to college unless the weather says no so I'll have to see what the weights are like for that one
Also I don't really feel like wiring that up to work with a plug ngl lol
Get an ebike that allows external charging. That way you have a portable charger as well as a fast/easy way to get around.
Ahh yes i will bring my bike into the lectures
Do it.
Silly.. the battery packs are removable. So you could just bring that with you. Yeah its heavier than what others are suggesting, but then you got a sweet ride on top of being able to charge whatever ya want. Heck, even sit next to a girl and charge her phone/laptop. ;)
Before you know it.. all the girls gonna wanna sit next to you xD
I'm taken tyvm smh
should do that cause bike can get stolen
only reason I took a longboard instead of a bike bro
I can take that with me
Okay hear me out.... Locks
cut through em
or take everything but the chassis
I've seen bikes with no wheels or seat before
This looks.... Concerning

Again?
Not big kaboom but batt swelling so much that backs pop off
Oh my
Every manufacturer goes through this. Even iPhone. Nothing new.
Tell me you didn't watch the video without telling me you didn't watch the video :
You can get locks that can't be cut through very easily at all.. and long enough you can loops through the tires and frame so that stuff doesn't get stolen. A rear tire on an ebike is difficult to get off thus left alone. (Can still lock it up with the rest of the bike to be sure though).
I do see people take their seats with them, although you can easily lock most bike seats with the rest of the frame as well.
Its just most people don't think about that stuff.
battery swell all the time no big deal Pato one
About my Canon Rebel T7 -- Do I need to download firmware updates one by one by one? The firmware is version 1.0.0 and there are 2 -- one is 1.0.1 and the next is 1.1.0 -- or would I just be able to download the latest one and skip the middle one?
I don't want to brick my new (used) camera lol
Razer teased their android handheld. With the Snapdragon G3X Gen 1
Wonder what the cost will be lol
I think the Steam deck costs more but they can do similar things
first to do it with 5G but not the first to use cellular data for gaming
https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2012/05/how-to-turn-your-playstation-vita-into-a-cell-phone/
True
I've done straight updates to latest and it's been fine
but just read the footnotes on the update just in case
they'll tell you if there's anything special you need to do
I got it updated ❤️
I also appreciate your response
you can download the most recent firmware for your Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR camera without needing to download the others, you can use a formatted SD card or you can do it the way I did and use a USB A to B and the Application/Program called EOS Utility from their website, make sure the Canon is on, wifi mode is off, then connect the USB A to your PC and B to the Camera. You might need to turn the camera off and on while it is connected if it doesn't recognize it when you plug it into Windows -- im not sure how Apple act with plug and play stuff.
view pics update firmware etc. a few selections
Just make sure your battery is charged so it doesn't die in the middle of the update or you can brick your DSLR
then you'll have a really expensive brick
475 retail and I got mine for 300 on OfferUp lol.
wow mint
he was selling it for 250, but he had an extra lens that I offered to pay 50 for.
good price
They drove 35 miles for delivery so I made it worthwhile.
all that extra stuff like a cloth for cleaning, USB card reader, 3 batteries (1 Canon 2 off brand)
oh damn that's def worth it
Anyone have good knowledge on phones? I'm trying to find a good replacement for the cheap BLU G90 Pro I bought a year and a half ago that now won't accept a charge (great phone for the price otherwise imo). Currently leaning towards the Google Pixel 6, ideally would like to avoid Samsung or any Chinese brands such as Huawei or Xiaomi
BLU is literally chinese but ok
If you're in the us, pixel is decent
Or some nokia stuff
bought it because it was designed in Florida tbh, I regret the purchase now.
I had a nokia phone previously and it wasn't a pleasant experience
Xiaomi lacks the bands for us carriers anyway
Then pixel 6a, maybe
6 is kinda full of issues
i heard both are issue full
Reason: Bad word usage
BLU is an American company.
They rebrand some Chinese phones though fair enough
would this usb-c dock blow up or something
Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
I'm planning to buy the 8 in 1 version if its fine
I'll use it with phone I won't do anything professional with it, just some data transfers
its probably fine but super slow and some ports might not work all the time
It probably won't blow up but don't expect it to do everything at once. Also the Power Delivery will only work if plugged into devices that actually use USB PB.
also why aliexpress yuck especally for 20$
oh ofc
you could get something from amazon for not much more and actually send it back if its doa lol
I'll only use max 2 ports at once
whats your requirements?
I want micro sd, at least 1 usb port and hdmi is prefered
I also wouldn't count on the VGA working at all
interesting
tbh I can also just buy a micro sd to usb-c
The aliexpress one lists Samsung S20 as compatible so I'd guess it would work on the S21 too
or actually this looks decent https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Multi-Port-Delivery-microSD-HB-TC6C/dp/B08V4MMG8D/
But yeah for phones I'd typically go with something smaller
apparently this ran out of stock everywhere where I live and if I buy from amazon global it adds 24 usd for shipping + VAT
i mean usb c data is usb c data
what country you in?
I'm in Turkiye
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
we don't have a great selection of usb docks here unfortunately
is there an amazon turkey?
lemme look
but its out of stock in it as well
yes probably
but prices are way cheaper bc of no additional VAT and shipping
in global amazon these hilarious things happen
otherwise 18 usd is rly cheap
12 usd shipping and 7 import fees
ugh i cant see amz turkey prices thanks amazon
any other sites with better options?
newegg
idk if newegg has docks actually
oh amazon.de should have less import fees as well
I never checked that out
VPN to Turkey
neweggs hubs are horribly priced in turkey anyway
yes
the lowest is like 70 usd
also amazon.de is just same products but more expensive
i dont have one installed effort im sure they can search "usb c hub hdmi micro sd" on amazon turkey
hubs can be so finicky, I think I might just end up getting a caldigit
Have you tried using the amazon search tho
It's the literal worst I've seen
yeah that actually gives good answers
i just cant see the prices
hows this one look import wise?
When I search for batteries I get results for underwear in the top 5 for some reason
shipping is really expensive 8.24 euros
I'll search this in local sites
hmm ok this is in amazon.tr
i mean less than 20€ is actually pretty decent for what you get
as an import
this looks good
does it have an advantage over aliexpress one
like the brand etc
these ugreen ones look good as well
100w pd
and free shipping with prime, prime is really cheap here
comments are bad tho
ok anker one is here its a bit expensive but very premium like 10 gbps ethernet I def don't need it on a phone
while i am here I got a random question, anyone know about lights? im looking for a led bookcase light that uses standard threading. I prefer warmer light currently there are halogens installed but they melted a frame or 2

https://www.amazon.com.tr/ZESKRIS-MacBook-Adaptörü-Multiport-Cihazlar/dp/B09MJYT2LN/
@small meadowwhat do u think how is this
Long links get flagged for weird reasons, you can shorten amazon links by deleting /ref and everything after
ok good to know
What do you think of this one, est. ~240 TL https://www.amazon.com.tr/BENFEI-USB-TF-Kart-MacBook-Pixelbook/dp/B08F7NWJY5
Looks fine, how much is it ?
cheap enough, 359 TRY with import fees which is 19.40 USD
tbh its good
Ntb then ye
but maybe I can pay a bit more and buy the other
I don't expect a spaceship out of these docks anyways if I was using it for professional things I'd buy a good quality thunderbolt dock
I think this is only missing USB PD
to be honest, I'm not sure about these docks PD quality anyways
a lot of DOA comments hmm docks seem to be a hit or miss on lower budget
I'll probably buy one of these, they are cheap anyways and I can always return I guess
This one seems ok, ~300 TL https://www.amazon.com.tr/adaptörü-okuyucu-MacBook-Microsoft-Surface/dp/B09TMC9GL5
reminder that Ugreen and Anker also makes docking stations
anker's one is too premium for my needs, ugreen offers less ports than these generally and the model with more ports is too expensive
@pulsar stump did you ever find a good dock? I’m looking to upgrade docks, as the audio from my dock sounds a little odd
yes but I'm not interested in buying a premium dock rn I saw some elgato and anker ones with top specs
Any soldering kit suggestions? for retro game consoles.
Yes, it's great.
Im curious, do ya'll know any good lightweight gaming laptops? I want one for college
asus zephyrus g14/15
I was thinking on that, then i realized it probably has a small battery and no numpad, numpad is actually not needed tho
it's got big batt lol
90wh
just cause the laptop is small doesn't mean it has small batt
Are acer nitros worth it for the long run?heard they die fast
Nope
They're built like crap so they tend to die over time
Better to get ideapad gaming 3 and tuf for starters
wait the tuf is a starter?
Question: Looking for a good wireless gaming headset for my PC and haven't purchased anything but Logitech in years. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend more than $200 but I'm willing to check out whatever recommendations you have.
Note: I had the Logitech G935 headset, so something along those lines or better would be preferred.
I love my old ram sticks from the attic, I got uh for the
laptop:
-3x4gb
-2x2gb
-7x1gb
-5x512mb
-3x256mb
oh and for the pc:
-8x1gb
-2x512mb
-2x256mb
and some unkown type of ram sticks
so yeah uh alot of trash
Heres a pic for the ones that wanna know how it looks in the box
Anyone know how to set up an LED display wall? as in with individual led panels connected, PC->Sending Card->Receiving Card->LED display boards
tryna set up a 4 panel (320x160mm each) display and I need a sending card to connect to a novastar mrv330 receiving
like nano leaves?
just put them on the wall. they have an app to control them
not as complicated as using a PC with a bunch of connections and also leaving it on
Nope, like the type of LED walls used for expo events and those trucks with screens on them, I got a power supply and led receiving card with 4 boards but i need a sending card to do video to led conversion and connect to my pc
Im not sure which sending card to get though since i dont know much about the specs
leds are p4mm
Outdoor 320x160
What's a good laptop around $1300 aud?
I'm thinking about buying a Red Magic 7 Pro but want to be sure that its the best phone I can get.
I wouldn’t know much about Red Magic. idk whether they’re somehow associated with Black Magic, but I wouldn’t purchase one if so. I personally think Google makes the best value phone, or Samsung if you want a higher end phone
(but again, idk much about Red Magic whatsoever) @quiet dune

I want ittttt
I have a Redmagic 5G, it survived my deployment and still works. I do want to get a new phone but phones are so expensive nowadays @quiet dune The Redmagic 7, ROG 7(?), Sony Xperia 1 IV and Blackshark 5 are the best gaming phones. Samsung and google don't have anything with the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 yet as they both use their own Soc's I think
Not sure how Googles compares but last I saw exynos was on par with the 865 or the 888. the 8 gen 1 was just better.
If you wanna game on your phone I'd say Iphone 14 Max or one with the Snapdragon 8 gen 1.
Probably not the Sony Xperia 1 IV cause cooling. But the other 3 have fans iirc.
Thank you both @weary slate and @warped yew
The active cooling on the Red Magic 7 was my selling point, I wanted a phone that I could show off
The fan is definitely necessary Imo for the 8 Gen 1
It gets a bit hot if I remember, I don’t play the most demanding mobile games but I do want the extra processing speeds.

nah if a phone needs active cooling then it has internal cooling issues lmao
there are other ways to show off your phone
I'm just curious what you're doing on a phone that requires "extra processing power"
If cod mobile can run on whatever was in my old moto z2, what game is that much more demanding than that
^
Just a midrange phone will do plenty for any games
Unless you play genshin I guess lol
Genshin, Emulation, etc require a bit more.
Cod mobile and the other mobile fps games like Apex Mobile and the future R6 Mobile, Valorant Mobile etc. are REALLY optimized to run.
Compared to emulation and things like Genshin, Noah's Heart, and the other open world RPGs
Razer just opened up reservations for their streaming handheld.
Priced at 399$.
It has wifi 6e unlike Logitechs handheld.
It has a modern high end soc from snapdragon unlike Logitechs.
Very close to steam decks pricing, but I'd say it still has an audience due to wifi 6e(neither the Steam Deck or Logitech gcloud have) and 1080p screen. Should run android games perfectly.
Those specs are great for the price
Yoooo its a tablet, the controllers come off. :0
What is a good brand for portable chargers or does it even matter that much
Anker does everything. I would trust them
huawei ax3 octa core or tp link archer ax10?
On the 3080ti do I have to run two separate 8 pin connectors or can I use a singular cable with 8 pin and 6+2 attached
Definitely 2 cables, you don't want to run 300W through a single one
That's how you get unstable voltage, and worst case melted wires
Dunno if there's any audio people in here but I have the option to get these for $50, worth?
Idk much about audio but that receiver alone looks to be worth
Yall know the best place to sell logitech mice? im done with the software and wanna switch to razer
Ive almost been scammed on facebook 2 times so...not a favorable optino
Hello,
I have a question I hope someone could help me with. I have a Netgear rax120. Ever since I've gotten it I have had issues with it just rebooting out of the blue. Talked numerous times with Netgear about this, there have been a few firmware updates, but still reboots, sometimes once a day, sometimes ten times a day. I've tried all solutions I could find to solve this to no avail. I would like your opinion on finding a few gaming routers that handle gig speeds without the rebooting issue. Preferably not Netgear, once a big fan of their products, but this router and lack of help to try fixing the problem now leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Any questions you need to ask me to find a fit for my gamer/streamer needs feel free.
Ive seen routers reboot before because of overheating, idk much for the router market I just use a old hp office pc as a router and unifi aps for a wifi radio. I heard the amplifi router system was decent for full house coverage but expensive
I have fans under it and around it. Apparently rebooting is a common problem for this router, as I come to find out. Thanks for trying to help though.
some routers are annoying (Xfinity)
What's your budget? RT-AX86U, RT-AC86U and RT-AX88U are all good options

what kinda price is this?
Considering the state of mobile gaming that's not horrible. Not good either.
I would expect a 3080 to cost nearly 3000 based on prior knowledge. Also why are all the Rog Zephyrus' all rated to badly
It's officially last gen and $3000 usd was always a bad price tbh
^
Laptop prices are rough these days.
I got 10 cores and 12 threads for $600
just don't look for gaming laptops lmao
problem solved
im wondering what headset I should get. Im debating between the razer kraken v3 x, the razer kraken, and the fifine H6
What GPU
Sounds like you got Intel xe graphics
normal Intel HD graphics
I don’t have high standards for a laptop, like a normal person
@weary slate it’s a Dell Inspiron 16 (5620)
I got he 8GB variant. I don’t need anything extra and getting the 16GB variant is far too expensive of an upgrade. i’d rather upgrade myself for when I need it
Hello I was thinking about buying index?
just I was playing vr today with my quest and it died in 1 hour now I'm still waiting for it to charge just wish you could plug it into pc and it would never die
uhhh can you not plug the quest into your PC? I thought you could or was that only Quest 2
I did plug it in
plugging into pc it should last at least 3-5hrs
unless your usb controller doesn't have enough power, too many other usb devices or something
Ohhh
Idk only tike I had before was like 2 hours or something with it plugged in
Facebook as index for $800
Kit
longest one time session I had was a little over 3hrs on payday2 via link, it still had battery we just got too tired of standing xD
honestly I wouldn't get a index since its been a while since it came out and there is possibility of a new one coming out sometime
I was playing battle space vr with the 120hz version bc more hz better for motion sickness
It's just I don't even use vr unless connected to pc so I kinda say it's worth the money
so many lol
144hz is better but resolution goes down
also with my pc connected to pc thats not the res it uses
says uses 2816x1424
i can also see what index is coming out with
idk i have z690 mobo with 8 ports filled 2 front and 6 in the back whole pc comes with 11 plus type 2xtype C
power consumption will depend on the device, but I might try powered hubs. most of my keyboard, controller boards and interfaces I have hooked up to external powered hubs nowadays, except a few high bandwidth devices such as quest which I am currently troubleshooting
hm okay i can try that before going down index path
But if you are using hub with the quest it would have to be a decent usb 3 one
@green stream so um I plugged my quest into my front port at 1pm and it's 9pm and it's only at 2%
Hub is gunna be for all my USB....quest headset is gunna be plugged into pc
is the left data transfer only
Yes
so i have a question is there a way to tell what the type C runs on and does putting stuff in 2.0 ports save on USB recourses
I have mouse, keyboard, cam, xbox controller, mic, headset bluetooth dongle all on usb 3.0 and then i have a USB on type 2
i changed some im gunna see if that helps
Yes do a bandwidth test
Your limiting resource is power, not data speed
Bandwagon test how do I do that
Oops
Bandwidth
Plug something into it that you can measure the speed like a 3.0 flash drive and copy a large file to it
hm okay ill try
If it goes less than 20MB/s it's probably USB 2.0
Is that a single large file or several files
several files i can try to find 1 big one
You want one single large file
oh
Otherwise it's only testing the mixed IO performance of the drive
where can i find a big file
A movie maybe if you have one saved
As long as it's 1GB+
will a game work?
If you copy one of the larger asset files sure
Definitely USB 3.0+
hm
"Your limiting resource is power".......so how do we get power up
time to OC usb ports
That's a quick way to make magic smoke
Get a powered USB hub
If you want, it'll help charge the quest at least
@green stream did you get official cable or you using usb to type C
anker has sale
So I did some testing
I unplugged all my non critical usb devices I wasn't using and used my quest my quest was at 85% WENT down to 75% in maybe 1 hour or 2
So my other usb using to much power sad
Yup
Typical performance would be for the quest to very slowly drain while in use with the cable attached
yea
yea on old pc it was that way but with this pc battery when brrrrr and i was like huhj
I have this usb 2.0 power brick i got about 3 years ago that I use when I play on my quest 2 when the headband battery dies. While it doesn't "charge" the quest while it's in use, it does keep it from dropping charge. So it charges at the same rate it's being used for the most part which is pretty awesome. The power brick I have allows me to play on my quest for around 5 hours before it starts to drain the quest.

good mac mini model to buy?
I wanna spend $300-400
mainly looking at ebay refurb but idk which to get
2014 is a prime generation of Mac Mini to buy, and they're relatively cheap
But for an apple product, I've only ever owned a 2012 mac mini
That is an excellent question
And i wouldn’t know because i haven’t turned on my 2014 Mac in a long time
Pray someone is selling a base m1 mac mini for that much
yeah idk if I would get 2014, they pretty slow ngl
2014 is like 5th gen intel ish yikes
yeah I could never find the exact model of my cpu but i think its a 2 core or 4 core idk
I was going to repurpose it with linux and add it to a cluster or something but getting linux to run on a mac is pain
2 core yuck
Holy crap, is that one of the Jetson AGX Xaviers
who makes the best laptop for medium level gaming
budget?
anything sub 2000 i suppose, i dont really know laptop prices
last time i had a laptop was 12 years ago
2k will get you a very high end laptop, i honestly probably wouldn't go over 1800 tbh
something 3060 level would be enough, around that range
I'm torn on this decision, Asus Zephyrus g14 or TUF F15?
I need a lightweight laptop, and I wanted a 3060 on it
Right now both have crazy sales
TUF has a 240W power bar, Zephyrus has 180W, so TUF will be a higher power target but also run hotter
Power bar is external though, i can buy one
What you can't change is the power target of the GPU/CPU
Even with a bigger power adapter
The GPU is allowed a full 60W (total 140W) more power so it'll run much faster than the 80W
Are you in the us?
How much is the tuf etc? Because Gigabyte have one for 730
And the 3060 runs at 130w
around 1.1k
Zephyrus got a Port Royal benchmark score of 4341, TUF got 5398
It's a massive difference
1.1k is a rip off for those
Yep Asus stuff is hardly actually a good deal even on sale
How much are you looking for it to weigh?
Lbs I'm guessing?
I lug a laptop, along with other school stuff often
yeah
the lightweight design of the zephyrus is enticing, its so much lighter than others
For performance numbers the TUF got a Time Spy result of 9636 and the A5 K1 got 8551
Likely due to the processor since I'm betting the GPU score alone is similar
K1 apparently has overheating issues
I did mention it'll run hotter lol, the cost of performance in a small form factor
The power limit is much lower on the G14 so naturally it'll run cooler
Does the tuf and Zephyrus model you're looking at have 16gb ram btw?
yeah
theyd better not
Nah as in like they have 8gb ram models
Might be worth waiting til black friday actually
Newegg has black friday price protection active
If you buy from there
So if it goes on sale for cheaper than you buy it now they refund the difference
oh really
Ill wait for now i guess
@pulsar jacinth if you where gonna spend near 1k I'd get this 3070 tuf model
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-tuf-dash-15-6-fhd-144hz-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-ddr5-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-512gb-pcie-ssd-off-black/6494644.p?skuId=6494644
4.41lbs too
Nicer cpu too
Nothing wrong with them
yeah fair
Also remember laptop 3070 is more like desktop 3060
Keep in mind laptop GPUs are about half the performance of their desktop counterparts in general
Maybe not half but yeah a big downgrade
yeah i get that
Also I don't think you'd complain about extra fps or higher quality settings lol
Depends on power target and a lot of models like the lower power, so it's often half. But not in this case yeah.
ok the 3060 laptop has around 20% better performance than the 1660ti
It's hard to actually estimate due to the varying wattages
Indeed. I'd take that comparison site with a grain of salt and only trust it if there's thousands of samples.
But for a rough guess it's not bad.
Oh and it turns out there is thousands of samples lol
So looks like the laptop 3070 falls roughly 10% below the desktop 3060 depending on power limit

`UserBenchmark is NOT a reliable source of information and has been blanket banned in many hardware communities such as r/hardware and r/intel for what started as an anti-AMD bias but has spiraled into delusion.
In fact, they tried so hard to skew results in favor of Intel's midrange that they even cannibalized Intel's own high end. For example, according to UserBenchmark, the i3-9350K is rated higher than the i9-10980XE.
For a similarly convenient quick-and-dirty hardware comparison website, we recommend using PassMark instead of UserBenchmark.

That's why we have the quick command, the more people know not to use that site the better imo
The youtube video at the bottom is rather amusing too. It's an april 1st video because the whole site is a joke.
Oh lovely, my entire view on gpus is messy now that I've seen Passmark
It's fun to look actually
https://youtube.com/shorts/-r9YUDoAz1g?feature=share I should be more invested into vr like they are haha
without a what?
Not sure where to ask:
I recently changed my home WiFi and now I have two modem-routers, I was wondering how I can connect the old modem-router (with RJ45 cable) to the new one and use it as a repeater/2nd acces point (basically same SSID and psw but just to extend signal to other parts of the house without having to use actual repeaters)
Yes you can although usually they are so crap that you'd have a worse experience
What do you mean?
Btw I have tried connecting the two modems in different ways but the 2nd doesn't work
The DSL led doesn't light up, that means it is not getting a input from the other modem-router
Usually the routers provided by the isp suck
I have a Fritz box, not sure what model, which should be the secondary router. And the new modem looks pretty good, I think it offers the max speed that's getting to my house without bottlenecking...
The only thing is that I don't understand how to connect the Fritz box to the modem router to extend the signal
If possible
No idea what a fritz box is but assuming it's just a normal WAP/combo unit connect it with ethernet and set it up in the control panel for it
If the box even supports it you'll need to change the mode to wireless repeater, which will cut your speeds to half the rated WiFi speed at best
If it doesn't officially support it you can check various custom firmwares like dd-wrt and openwrt and see if they support your model
Ok, I'll see what I can do
Btw Pato the fritzbox is just the model of a modem-router, it's the one I got as 2ndary
Ah i see
Many of the combo routers have a ap mode that sometimes activates automatically when you plug the wan port into a router sometimes you have to go into the control panel before hand and switch is to ap mode
Guys, is this a good Deal? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hisense-75-Class-4K-UHD-LCD-Roku-Smart-TV-HDR-R6-Series-75R6030G/1133360896?athbdg=L1800
I only have $500 (with a little wiggle room) to spend, and want to get the best deal. ANY 75" for $448 is an amazing deal, or so least I think, given my very small TV Knowledge. However, I am worried about the longevity and quality of the TV. I know Hisense is known for their Cheap TVs. Should I really be using my budget to buy one of their systems?
Kinda completely unrelated to anything pc but does anyone know what these are or what they do?
I got them for free today and don’t know what to do with them
Looks to be
The Dual Function Generator consists of two independent function generators (A and B), each capable of generating a sine-wave signal, a square-wave signal, a triangular-wave signal, a sawtooth-wave signal, and a pulse signal with variab
Looks like it's very limited use, mostly for learning how to analyze the waves and the types of waves
dunno what else you could do with them if you didnt even know what they were
I am prolly just gonna sell em lol
Any idea how much I should ask for something like it?
depends on where you sell it
see what its sold for on ebay in the past and list it for about that much
fb marketplace, cut that number in half
I couldn’t find it on eBay
