No, you can't downgrade versions. You don't have to use the pro features, they're mostly stuff used by businesses.

afaik you have to get the OS version that matches the key. Pro mostly just has extra features so doesn't hurt to get it, but idk since I'm on 10 not 11. 👍

Here's your latest bios. Like most 3X0 chipsets they had to remove support for certain CPUs to support the 5000 series. In your board's case they removed the early A series, so it should still support your 2400g.

I see no indication anywhere that they removed raven ridge (your cpu), only bristol ridge. If for some strange reason they did and didn't document it, you'd need a supported cpu to flash the bios since you don't have flashback.
Usually there's a change log text file included with the download. I'll check that too.
Yep change log says the same, removed bristol ridge. That's older than your cpu too, so I'd say anything newer than bristol ridge is safe.

Check out ventoy, it's worked well for me. Just create the drive, then copy over as many iso files as you want, no extraction required. It boots to a grub-like menu to select the iso.

You can put 6 different windows 10 installers if you wanted, the only limit is space on the drive.
A bios update file probably won't work because it would need to be on the first partition to be detected, but maybe you could put it in the ventoy system partition

I can't decide if I want w10 or 11. Apparently 11 is supposed to use the 12th gen intel cores more efficiently and w10 experiences slowdowns, but on the other hand I've seen that there is no comparable difference?

I resized my efi partition (made it bigger), and now windows wont boot. I got Linux booting again after I booted into a live disk and ran boot-repair, but windows still will not work. The files are still in the place where i can choose boot files in bios, and grub in Linux can see windows, but there isn’t an image or something.

Well there is one more thing to try for troubleshooting. A manual "overclock" of 3.6ghz all core, so it disables the boosting behavior and runs at stock speed.
If that still fails then yeah reinstall windows

Basically my mouse is bound to the top right corner of my main monitor (I’ve got 2 if that matters). It doesn’t so this in BIOS or when I’m on the login screen, but as soon as I login and click anywhere it locks itself to the top right corner. I can still move it sort of - it stays in the corner but jitters in the direction that I’m attempting to move it in. I’ve done a couple things already to try and fix this but if anyone has any suggestions as to what I could possibly do to fix this I’d appreciate it. I just wanna play some elden ring lmao

32gb is technically enough for 10 but doesn't leave a lot of room. If it's signed into a Microsoft account the license is saved to the account, so you can activate using that automatically and the "I changed hardware" button, if needed.

Hey, I most likely wont see any responses sent via the server so please dm me any fixes. I was streaming netflix on discord and everything was going perfectly fine. Just randomly out of the blue the audio completely stopped mid stream but video was present(audio was heard for a good 20ish mins). Could not find a fix on my own troubleshooting nor from google. Things I tried: Stopped streaming and stream again, switching browsers(Opera GX to Google Chrome), making sure my output was not switched in the middle of a stream, and I have not tried to restart discord as I had no one to test it with at this time

hard to say. im not sure about audio but some devices will detect whether copyrighted content is playing from certain sources and stop it. screen sharing something like netflix generally works better if you have hardware acceleration turned off in the browser. audio typically only transmits if you are screen sharing the window not the screen. I've also seen certain mobos, audio chipsets on certain operating systems not act properly to capture the audio especially in discord but I cannot confirm it is very difficult to test

It just is always at the top of my task manager and I never noticed it there before, its at the top only cause its 200MB. Only thing that takes more than 200MB is chrome. Also, I completely disabled windows defender and did all the solutions online (adding windows defender to firewall exclusions, disabling real time protecting in taskscheduler) and its still there.
I read a reddit comment saying it being at 200MB is a new thing with a windows update, so maybe me not noticing it before was cause I didn't have that update before.

Yeah. The windows menu is loading things like weather forecasts and retrieving the location, among a dozen other things. Most of these can be disabled in privacy settings and/or uninstall unused default apps like weather.

Looks right to me. The ipconfig stuff shows every available interface, including disabled and disconnected.
And the bot triggers if you type the same thing more than 3 times in a message, I try to break it up into smaller messages to avoid.

I am trying to use the weather widget for the taskbar on windows 11, but I don't see it anywhere. I have enabled widgets in taskbar settings. It was supposed to be included in an option update KB5010414 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/february-15-2022-kb5010414-os-build-22000-527-preview-73e259d0-45ca-45ef-960f-426035104e73), but it is not showing up in my optional updates. I have relative settings checked. What can I do?

I would like to use the native widget if at all possible.
Is there a way to check if the update is already installed? If it isn't, can I find it online somewhere to download it and install it that way?

Does any one know how to fix this error? (there was an error while trying to initialize the sysprerp log) I just finished building my pc and it seems that the ssd already has windows but it’s not letting me actually use the pc.
I bought the ssd from Best Buy and ir was a new one so i don’t know how windows was already installed. I also bought all the other components “new” so I don’t get how windows could already be installed
I even bought a product key and entered it and it still didn’t work

Sounds like someone returned an opened drive. It's not that hard tbh.
I'd avoid using that windows install at all costs. You never know what spyware they put on there, keyloggers, etc.

They sold me the drive as if it was new. No indication of it being used
I’m so bummed out that I can’t use it. The one problem I was afraid of encountering didn’t happen and this came out of no where
It’s also taking a bit of time to load up it stays in a please wait loading screen for quite a bit. I’d imagine that it shouldn’t happen with a fast ssd. Mine is a wd sn750 1tb if I’m not mistaken
If I were to completely erase everything on the ssd. Would that fix it? I have nothing on the pc. I booted it up today and it’s the first time u ever deal with anything like this :/

And there’s other files where I should only be seeing my ssd. At least the video that I was following for instructions of my build didn’t have any other files there or options

You can run the windows installer and delete the existing partitions. Then tell it to install to the empty space. That should fix most of your problems and destroy 99.9% of viruses.

primary drive may be ur flash drive
it will be the one with only 1 partition
u cant delete that
delete the partitions off the drive with multiple partitions on it

download balena etcher
plug in ur flash drive
select iso downloaded
select usb drive
hit flash
reboot to bios when done
select the usb flash drive
and let me know when ur at that point

Reinstalling the os is the most obvious thing to do

If yes (to reinstall it) you'll need:
-Usb pen or also usb external HDD (at least 8GB)
-another computer to create the usb installation device
-internet connection (of course)
-some patience
