This is the most common front panel audio driver. You can put a fake email when it asks. You probably want the 64 bit.

That might be possible. Windows Server has a UI version and a CMD version. Chance the CMD version doesn't need to have any GPU/APU, but with the CMD version you can't do anything but have your basic windows 10 command line open.

So you couldn't play games or do anything on the system.

Download this, run the "add take ownership" file to add it to the registry, reboot, find the temp folder that's been affected and right click it, hit take ownership, wait for it to process, then delete the contents of the folder.

Once you're done you can do "remove take ownership" or keep it enabled, but be careful with it. System files can be damaged using that.

No. If it's not compiling then it's probably because of a syntax error, which can cause unexpected problems even if you could force compile it. A simple undefined variable could change a value of another variable to null if it references the undefined variable.
What are you trying to compile? What errors are you getting?

I know that code verification is important, but I have a good reason to force compile (if possible). The code is absolutely fine, but it is not an application, so I can't launch it.

It's a Minecraft mod which I can't figure out how to open decently in Eclipse so it would keep the file structure in the IDE. As I am merely changing variable values I know that they cannot cause any kind of trouble, I am looking for a short way of forcing a single class to compile. But providing I end up successful on that, I would still have to worry about :
- if the source code I got from GH is the same as the one of the mod I have (and I can't verify that since the .jar looks nothing like the source code)
- if that's not the case, I might have to compile the whole project to replace all the .class files from the .jar
- if replacing .class files in a .jar is as easily done than said

I'd guess your errors are related to either your version of Java not liking this version of code, paths not set correctly, or dependencies not met.

Hello guys, got into a bit of trouble installing windows and now my mouse cursor wont appear unless mouse keys is on. I use a wireless mx2. Make sure that your router isn't blocking connection to your computer's IP. Can it "connect" to a network at all? Meaning even if it can't connect with internet is it physically connected to the rounter.

It's set to use the router settings for IPv4 DNS. If you want you can change the settings in the router to be more efficient. Usually the Google DNS works well, especially in western US. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

and that's what I set it to. the one on the top right is my router's sets at. I did research a bit more and I guess the router's dns as 192.168.1.1 is a "proxy DNS". it goes there first and then it go to any one of the IPv4 DNSs in the list.

1 key per device now, if it's from the factory it's pre-programmed and tied to the motherboard serial number. You can install a new hard drive and not need to buy a new key now, you can retrieve the key if you logged in to a Microsoft email account.

Huh, interesting. That's actually the reason I needed the OS for one of the machines. The hard drive died years ago and the 'illegitimate Windows 7 activation key detected' dialogue box doesn't work because Windows 7 isn't supported any longer!

in discord id make sure you have krisp noise suppression turned off. i usually set a manual input sensitivity and i turn off automatic gain control so it doesn't make the mic too loud adding noise. the normal noise reduction setting is fine. the best noise reduction software is nvidia broadcast

So I'm a programmer, I want to use a Linux distro like Kali Linux, as it's way better for customization and accessibility. But most of the games I want to play are on steam, which isn't supported by Kali. Is there any way I could boot both Windows and that Linux distro?

And switch between them at will?

Dual boot is easy, but there's way better distros for programming than Kali. Look at pure Debian for example.

For dual boot you can just partition the drive how you like and install each OS. I find it easiest to create an extended volume to separate the free space from each other before installing.

penetration testing which is what the os is designed benefits from more cores. virtual machines cant assign all cores to the OS as the os you are running the VM takes up a few cores. also there is loss in overall perf because of vm overheads.

Not really. With a good enough VM manager you can give more or less all of your computers resources over to the VM

The VM also allows you to set a restore point, which is very nice considering that fact that if you actually use kali for what it's designed to be used for it will get dirty

In the professional world, reusing a pentest or forensics machine is kinda sorta a nono

Here's htop on an ubuntu vm that I just spun up. As you can see, all 16 of my CPU cores are available

If I run stress -c 16 on the VM, here's my CPU utilization on the vm

And here it is on the host

As you can see, it's able to utilize my entire CPU

There's also the fact that the default user on kali is root, so if you slip up or get infected on a dual boot system you risk bricking your entire computer or losing all of your files

A VM solves that problem too

....aaaaaand finally, VM overhead is pretty much nil
