I’m having a Windows 10 reset issue, I haven’t downloaded and suspicious apps etc and it’s a brand new laptop maybe a month old and I wanted to reset it and just clean it up from games I had and left over files from steam or other game launchers and when I went to go reset my computer it told me “There was a problem resetting your PC.”

I saw an admin command prompt solution but that failed as well and I really don’t wanna use an OS Boot tool and go through the annoyance of reloading Windows when I shouldn’t at all be having this issue my pc is at the newest update also

Just frustrating considering it’s a brand new gaming laptop

@sand dagger There are some bugs still in the newest Win 10 update and that may be one of them. I could be wrong but I would report it to Microsoft Tech Support. They may have a few alternatives that might work for you. Ive never ran into that issue before. Did you have a older version of Win 10 on the machine or has it always had the most recent version?

@livid bluff thanks for getting in touch with me, I think I’m gonna have to get supports help because I just updated to 1909 win10 after being on the previous update and I still am having the “There was an issue resetting your PC.” and again I haven’t pirated or downloaded and suspicious apps I literally only had game launchers and OBS Studios from the official site so I know I don’t have any virus preventing my reset. I’ve watched plenty of YouTube videos and have had no success I’ll try the windows media boot tool from the site but if there is any other way I’ll take it because on an older laptop I had issues and it was such a lengthy process for it to bug out on me ya know

Can someone point me in the right direction... i have a msi z390 godlike motherboard with i9 9900k rtx 2060s. The first week of having it i had to do a RMA and they refused to tell me what they had to fix/do, that said it was not showing temps on the cpu socket pcie1, mos. And voltage was 24v on the 12v,10v on the 5v. Now a few months later temps not showing up on m.2 1-3, pcie1-5 and mystic lights are not working at all just the ram default lights are working. This has been the worst pc i have ever built. I have reformatted numerous times and even bought a new wd-black sn750 1tb to go with my 500gb plus t-force night hawk 2 16gb kits.

when it finally stops, the USB Host Controller also stops
and with that all BT devices and the front panel USB ports
Mobo's USB ports still work at least

I already tried to uninstall>reboot>reenable
and installed latest Intel Wireless Bluetooth drivers > rebooted

Problem solved by full shutting down the PC,
that is switching off the PSU/unplugging it from the wall

@thick kernel t run the insider builds. The only one Ive had issues with is the most recent 200710-1419 build. Had to use the reset option in windows. Other than that check your manufacturer for new drivers first. Many have switched to the new driver format for windows. Specifically Bluetooth and network drivers
