when you have a domain you basically just need to configure the domain to point to your public ip and then expose the service to port 80/443 or you could have a proxy in your house to get the 80/443 requests and point to the correct service based on domain

My Dell wyse 3040 mini runs windows 10 super lite, there's a small problem, it starts up every day at about 3.30am and looks like because of updates and stuff since every time I Chech in the morning I see a notification with "low disk space, unable to install update". You definitely got a miner on your pc. It's harmless but it definitely takes up resources on your system when you don't intend it to be mining for your own monetary gains. You need to remove it with malwarebytes or any other malware removal/scanning programs

If all fails, if you have a spare drive, you can try installing a fresh install of windows on the same pc just to see if your copy of windows is just not working or if you have the wrong driver somehow or if it's just bad

Ok, I could try that. I've had this surface for about a year and it worked fine at first until I touched some driver stuff (probably updated the iGpu drivers) and it started freezing every once in a while. I don't remember what driver I was running before this happened so I just tried a bunch of other ones, and with "I tried" I mean at least 30 different drivers. All of them had this freezing problem

And yes it is 100% GPU driver since I updated other ones that could be related such as chipset or other motherboard features (pcie/pci bridges...). I ran ddu a few hours ago and used it without any drivers, very laggy but at least it doesn't stop working.

Hey Fal'Cie hope you read this message soon and help me solve yet another problem... Or two...
As usual its about the FileZilla FTP server, I pretty much got it working and it's easily accessible using windows file explorer by adding ftp://my.ip/folder. And that part is ok, I was also able to access it using windows cli and learnt some basic and useful commands to work inside the folders and here I encountered a major flaw... The "cd .." or "cd ..{backslash}.." command allows you to go back to he previous folder (the one that contains the folder you're actually exploring) and if I use the command on that one folder that is actually shared by FZ (it's "test" and located on my server's desktop) I'm able to browse my server's desktop as well as the entire computer, without ANY restrictions. This would mean that anyone accessing the main shared folder would even be able to steal my data or let's say "hack" my entire server/pc. How can I solve this? I heard about chroot jail bit haven't really checked what it is and how I'd even set it up in win10 on my server.

I've got a pc that I often access remotely using Chrome remote desktop but there is a problem, this pc isn't connected to a screen so when I access it I come upon a low resolution desktop with big gui and all the icons squished together. This does not happen if I connect my 1080p monitor, however I need it for other reasons, so that's why it's usually unplugged. Is there a workaround to get remote desktop to show a normal 1080p (or similar) resolution desktop and working as if it was connected to the monitor?

actually I just went through a similar saga recently. you can technically open a pdf in a web browser and just type in the fill ins and save it, but for some documents to work as intended you need the free acrobat reader and fill in from there.

Either way the actual pdf document has to have fields for filling out and such. if it was not designed in that way you would need to pay for a pdf editor and do it the hard way

I can't really check with the free acrobat since i already have pro installed and it won't let me without signing in. If you open it in a browser can you see the fields and enter in them? If so maybe try it that way, saving it out as a new file from the icon in top right, and checking the file to verify it shows properly

did you try browser standalone or only gmail. because gmail has a viewer but to see the fields you would need to use the pdf viewer built into the doc. it is simply used by entering the file path of the file in a web browser. You can also right click and say open with firefox, chrome, etc

yeah the gmail preview cannot edit in anyway. if you want to stay confined to the google space however I also just saw that there are apps within google to can edit the doc from gmail.
where it says open with Google Docs there is a drop down arrow there are suggested apps like DocHub that can open through Google Drive and edit

i'll describe here the problem that I'm having with a possible trojan virus: in the last two days I've been modifying windows 10 ISOs with NTlite, i've created 3 different isos yesterday, and just today windows defender reported "Trojan:Script/Wacatact.B!ml" as a threat, i found out it came (only) from the second custom iso. so i did what windows suggested to do: scan, delete/quarantine, and restart to make the changes effective. It did remove the iso file, and i also deleted another folder manually that contained a copy of the iso files. After all of this i restarted again, ran some scans and it says no threats are found, however the trojan is reported on "virus and threats protection" as well as in chronology, if i try and do something about it it does nothing. "action required" shows the trojan with the old path to the iso (even tho i removed it)

apparently it was set to quick scan, i'll try the full scan and then the offline scanner, hopefully everything is ok. What does the trojan usually do? i'm curious to figure out what this thing actually is

trojans would usually try to get you to go to another site or call someone. That said it can do a number of things, take data, install more malware, etc. One I saw in person once locked the main web browser and said something like "your computer has a virus call this number to fix it" and when you call they ask for credit card details

I tried downloading a song earlier from a site klickaud and I usually did before but I have a setting on google chrome where I can choose where to download so it’s impossible it downloaded a file without my consent. I had many tabs open and chrome was unresponsive so I shut my computer down. Next thing you know, I am stuck in bios. I use MSI, so I tried repairing in CSM boot mode to show windows and it wouldn’t let me repair, and I tried pressing f11 to let me boot up on my SSD after going back into UEFI mode and it doesn’t show my SSDs but shows my SSDs in system information. I’m beyond infuriated because this is completely random and I have so much work on this computer I can’t lose it. Can ANYONE help me PLEASE!!!

First, I don't know that site and I'm not going to look, but I will say if it's a "free" site that piracy is bad, partially for this reason. You're not as secure as you think you are.
Second, CSM isn't any kind of recovery mode. It's for older operating systems and hardware that aren't set up for UEFI. If you did a boot repair in that mode it did it wrong.
Third, I'd recommend an antivirus rescue USB and then a proper reset of the windows EFI partition. Medicat usb has virus scanners, and you can fix the EFI partition in Windows recovery mode after.

It didn’t work. So I have semi good news. I used the medicat tool just now to load windows 8 which gave me more options and knows I have windows 10. I can see through their tools looking in windows explorer to make sure nothing was downloaded and as I expected, nothing was in the last location I downloaded anything, I know this because I downloaded Instagram templates I was working on last night I had from my other old computer and never got any virus from them ever. The next morning is when I attempted to download the mp3, but it would have been shown at the location I last downloaded anything which were the Instagram templates I always used that I mentioned. So I know for a fact there isn’t anything there.

So it must mean that I need to fix my boot up with rebuilding BCD right? I got access denied but is this the way to fix it? normally you would install windows with no other windows drive installed in the pc. If the installer detects another drive with windows on it, it will automatically create the dual boot menu to choose which you want.
