It was pretty quick when it happened, almost a coordinated effort between the two. One was in the tree and the other stepped on the timer, turning on the lights. That startled the one in the tree, and being the 15lb monster he was, took the whole tree down when he jumped. I hadn't realized how much they chewed the light stands until it snapped, with a live wire hanging out of a dying tree.
That was murder attempt #23 by my cats. Their favorite attempt was smothering me in my sleep.

if its a ball python, then males will usually range about 4' while females can be about 5'-6'...... but they will just get thicker from there depending on how frequently you feed them. my girl ate once a week and sometimes went weeks without eating at all. a snake thing

the way you gauge that is the size of the largest part of her belly

if you think the rat size you have now is small for her belly then you may step it up

typically if the size is too small they will eat more frequently. whereas a larger rat will satisfy them longer

typically once around a year or so they will be able to mate. once mating season comes you may see the snake not even interested in eating for weeks or months. but always offer a meal no matter what. if they dont eat it within an hour throw it out. dont refreeze it.

Coat a frozen rodent in chicken broth and also if you have tongs, wave the mouse back and forth in front of the snakes snout and try and imitate it running around. just make sure the mouse is putting off a decent amount of heat. I would run tap water until it was scalding into a large bowl and place my frozen rat in a ziplock bag. This help trap the mouse scent heavily on the thawing mouse. But also keeps it dry. Once thawed… typically about 20-30 min( you will need to replace the water about every 5-10 min bc it will become cold quick.) you should have a thawed rodent. Run a bit more hot water and let it sit for about another 1-2 min so it collects some heat. Then feed. This may work.
