Oh my god thank god its a fully modular one too
less cables
actually 444 @earnest olive
ohh
no that's the whole thing
my bad sorry
are you mining rn
650W works
yeah, pretty much always am
only stop it for demanding games
and i don't play those very often
I would maybe go to 750W for peace of mind, like a 750 or 850W GT from evga b stock
but 650 will work
really suffering with these summer temps... sigh
lol
ambient temp >30c doesn't help
is that an air cooled strix
yes
Peace of mind in terms of?
ok fair
i'm not measuring the room temp precisely but i'm guessing it's around 32 right now
transients, longevity, placebo...lol
whats the weather like for you?
before that I think it would be 95-ish on air
on memory
that's for eth but I never did a lot of it
at what fan speed and ambient temp?
now on water I could run 600W through it and nothing peaks 80C
with 100 fan speed and 25c ambient i should be getting 78-82c mem temps
i hit 83C at 600W
strix cooler is decent
on the core

lol, never thought my o11 would be too small for a gpu
I think my core is like 63 or something at that wattage
but here we are
my o11 is too small for the strix
i gotta keep my side panel off or i start getting ram errors
my gpu exhaust is so close to the glass panel
that it starts feeding into my ram cooler
oh my god
so my ram cooler starts blasting my ram with hot air
tRFC go brrrr
so yeah, i just have to let the gpu exhaust directly into open air
oh is that why filters off
i also have to bend the hell out of my pcie power cables to put the glass panel on at all
lol
well no, there are no dust filters in the glass panel
oh, no
i run with no dust filters because i have a leaf blower for my pc and don't care about running it once a week
@little osprey one sec I'll show you the psu
might as well max out the airflow
alright
i also have an air purifier running 24/7 for what that's worth
what do they call the cables that make your psu cords look good lol
braided cable extensions
sorry i looked up extensions cables didn't find any
ooo
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082X6L4WL my favorite extensions recently
diyfab are 16awg iirc
my case is gonna be white i forgot
the only cheap extensions that aren't stiff as hell
hmm should i get em in white or black
and linkup do those dope pcie risers
ooo i see
ehhh diyfab have a 16awg version no?
would the one i posted work?
most of the cheap cable extensions are super stiff and terrible to work with
probably, but the one i linked is 18awg
supernova ga 750w
I mean the one I shared is cheaper and same tier for more wattage, would be better imo
i absolutely hate the stiff cheap ones that are hell to route through a case
not where i live

is b-stock a thing in saudi arabia
let me checkerino
he just posted an amazon.sa link
so that's where i got that from
but yeah
you should use SA PCPP
PC Builder
i think they do
let me try making the build there and see the total
so i can cry

pcpp sa is scuffed
all psus like double priced
i hit like 1800usd
better but still not worth
omg
yeah evga ga then if you can find it cheap
ahh it doesn't offer that promo either :/
where if you add more items worth more in value you can get free shipping
yikes
did evga website work or nah
shipping?
roughly the same
it must be the market rate then oof
wdym
actually i have amazon prime
let me see if i can knock the prices down there
sec
oh my god
the ak620 is like 120$
lol
double the price
like 1100 flat
Nah 1000 gets you a decent 6900xt
*build
Ah yea it should
welp
OCF is 850
Is it?
on newegg yes
I only looked at the red devil and the sapphire toxic cards
@cyan ravine for some reason i wasn't able to find these on newegg sa
found only these
actually surprised at how cheap 2x16 is lol
yeah those prices seem alright if you hit the free shipping mark
they're fine enough considering
that's why SP is suggested a lot
over-spending on ram is a very easy way to get diminishing returns
esp. if you're only buying it for XMP
adds up to the same amount
the only 3 things adding all the shipping value
is the case, psu, and the CPU cooler
they're all never eligible for free shipping
can you find those locally?
100 bucks shipping for the case alone
that's what im trying to find rn
90% though, probably not
shipping for all those 3 combined is 182.73
i guess not bad tbh
the other 182.73 USD is in vat 15%
so understandable
can't blame newegg for it
found it
is this the right option?
16 cas latency right?
ye
yeah all adds up to like 6.7k sar
you guys pay vat too for stuff? @cyan ravine
damn you guys don't
thats nuts lol
lol
xD
if i had to pay $100 shipping i'd just be rocking the cardboard box
LMFAOO
fun fact - a case is a completely optional part of a computer
there's no other choice though lol
of course there is
i looked at local stores
same price + shipping
they add the shipping to the price of the case
:/
psu is 50$ shipping
and psu cooler 50$ shipping
i have no clue why those 3 are never eligible for free shipping
like never
look how one mushroom obtained a free high airflow case! (lian li hates him!)
Nice case
Milk crate and zip ties OP case
@cyan rune To bad you couldn't fit the flaming bichael the other way so it looks like the fans are blowing the flames.
Even the monitor
$1500-$2000 list?
what are you using it for and monitor included?
Gaming/Video editing/ Photoshop/ school rn only 1080p 144hz monitor but want to upgrade to either 1080p 240hz or 1440p 144hz
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
high-side of the budget, can use G27Q
G6 PSU sourced from EVGA B Stock
one sec I'll do the 1500 list
Fs! And do they make cases with glass on the right side? Lol
you know I was looking into that today actually lol
Not a lot of options like the typical right side
Lmao I've seen a couple but unsure of quality and air flow
the obvious one is the o11d evo but it's expensive, I saw a couple earlier I'll see if I can find them again
Sorry for the long link but this one looks pretty cool
Fractal Torrent has glass on both sides
Check this out on @Newegg: Segotep Phoenix T1 E-ATX Full-Tower PC Gaming Case, Tempered Glass Side Panel, Cable Management/Optional 360mm Water Cooling, Supports up to 7 Fans, Front I/O USB 3.0 Type-C Port, Desktop Compute Case https://www.newegg.com/black-segotep-typhon-e-atx-full-tower/p/2AM-005R-00086?Item=9SIAM7KENW0095&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIAM7KENW0095-_-07112022
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VkCwk9 <<<Changed it. Lower side of budget
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, GeForce RTX 3070 LHR, Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower
The torrent is pretty huge so make sure you're prepared for that if you do it lol
I have the desk spare for it lol
I think they mean left-hand viewing
All it is is my monitor, Xbox, and laptop right now
I really regret buying a gaming laptop lmao
Inverted layout? Yeah that's pretty rare
Since GPUs mostly are designed to suck air from their normal "bottom" position you'd have to do top intake with inverted cases
the segotep one seems alright tho
Inverted layout seems like it'd be better if used with custom loops
gpu draws the coolest air but you need an aio for it
so like evga clc 360
I saw this one earlier
is it the 802 that's reversible???
yes it is
that's a really good one
too big for me tho lel
yeah I'm not really finding anything decent that's cheap unless we go to like way smaller
so like Alta G1 with a CM VSFX gold and EVGA clc was one from earlier and that would work out cheaper overall
you know what nvm v sfx gold expensive af
I wanna be mad but also this is the market at work lol
MSI MPG GUNGNIR 110R Mid-Tower ATX Gehäuse (2x USB 3.1 Anschluss, 4x 120mm A-RGB Fan im Lieferumfang, schwarz, RGB), Einheitsgröße https://amzn.eu/d/6m98m6N
https://amzn.eu/d/6m98m6N
Is This case good i Can get new for 50€ from a friend
pretty sure it's the same cases as this one here, so no
https://youtu.be/TpTrrIsMGXU
The MSI Aegis R pre-built PC is one of the worst systems we've ever looked at. It's impressive how MSI combined software and hardware incompetence to create this abomination.
Sponsor: Buy Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste on Amazon (https://geni.us/JMVNtOE) or Hydronaut paste for water cooling (Amazon - https://geni.us/Fsray)
Watch our pre-built ...
they have a mesh version
that would be significantly better (though I wouldn't consider msi cases in general)
I helped them with a list yesterday said yes they could do that but i wouldn't
What's the reason that I should use a 2tb drive vs 2 1tb drives because it seems that the price of 2 1tb drives are better than 1 2tb drive?
Convenience, upgradability
Easier to work with a single drive instead of splitting things up without raid 0 or storage spaces
And using 1 slot instead of 2 slots means you have another free slot for more in the future
So they have both intel and amd options
Does it have to be dell
yea
Probably one of the xps, maybe a latitude but those aren't what they used to be
What are you planning on doing with the laptop
https://i.imgur.com/uW5Mhng.png i was looking at these 4
Alienware laptops are hot garbage
And shoddy construction
but they are only ones that have like 3070 and up
What are you planning on doing with the laptop
gaming
What games
idk mostly ive been playing satisfactory
Then why laptop
space
and why dell
If you got desktop then why laptop and if it's just satisfactory I don't believe ya need that high of a spec
kenzie asked me for a laptop yesterday and i gave him some reccs
well ik 3060 might work but 3070 ti is better and will run my games
idk if 3060 will run all my games
you don't need 3070ti
It will run
you can get that 1379 bucks legion 5 pro on ebay
The 12th gen igpu will probably run all of them
it's sold by antonline
they dont have 3070 options
i posted the link in tech deals
- i cant use ebay and 2. i dont wanna use ebay i can only get dell laptop
What games do you think a 3060 won't run?
we have technology to obtain things online
it's new item and sold by a reputable retail
okay im gunna tell truth i applied for dell credit line and got approved for 2.5k and i can only spend at certain places 1 is for dell
oof
then i would get alienware x15
also bryce got a dell 3070 laptop seems like its doing him good
I'd still go xps, much better quality laptops
https://i.imgur.com/4OKdFR2.png i saw this but comes with 11th gen
https://i.imgur.com/X2Pl5wy.png theres this one
6700M
i can change ram to 32GB for 2399
bruh

the ram is so expensive
it is ddr5
oops had a bad word
yeah and it's trash
tbh
12th gen is also good
well the M17 R5 is amd
ddr5 is just expensive rn
unless you want efficiency
i mean we can go witj x15 but you said soildered
This is true
@analog pulsar what APR did they give you on the credit line
IN the end by the time it's paid off, assuming you're doing monthly payments, you'll be paying $300/$400 MORE for the laptop.
From Dell's site, looks like it's usually between 20% and 30%
or i can get 3060 which lowers price to 1749
@analog pulsar how fast will you be able to pay this off
so let me see if i can get a discordnt from my work
THat's disgusting.
I'm 100% assuming kenzie is going to take the minimum monthly payment option without putting anymore towards principle
and doesn't have the ability to pay at least half off once the purchase is made
I'm also assuming that it's an unsecured line
no
It's a secured line?
yea i cant go ovber my limit
What's your collateral?
That's not what unsecured means.
https://i.imgur.com/IBmxuTy.png theres this
whats that
The thing they'll take away from you when you can't pay off a secured line of credit
Also for reference these kinds of lines of credit are incredibly damaging to your credit if you miss payments.
extremely volatile profiles
They quite often have some really predatory terms too
^
i read threw some terms i have high APR also if i go over credit limit i have to pay back money ASAP
How high
like 29
that's not your APR though.
something like that
How fast can you pay this off
I would say pretty fast why you ask
Cause if it's not within a month or two Dell is going to rail you with interest
oh
Honestly this was a pretty stupid thing to apply for in my opinion, and I know Escanor and I gave you MUCH better suggestions on ways to buold your credit.
BUt, your money, You do you boo.
At 30% APR that means you end up paying $2600 for a $2000 laptop if it takes you a year
okay
okay so 3060 at 1080p should do fine
https://i.imgur.com/y5dhB0j.png they have ryzen 6800H
make sure you understand that
like fully
if you don't pay it off in a ear you are going to get blistered by the interest hardcore.
oooof yeah that'd be a good chunk tacked on
@analog pulsar Please don't do this to yourself.
People gave him A LOT of much better advice.
- its fine .2 damage already done if there is any
Wonder what the minimum payment is lol
Possibly fairly low to increase the chances of people not paying it off in time to be interest free
Interest will be charged to your account from the transaction posting date if the purchase balance is not paid in full by your Payment due date in August 2023.
If you don't pay it all off in a year, they slap you with all of the interest that they would have charged from the date of purchase
so i just pay it in a year then
Are you able to?
yea
Can you pay it all in one down payment now?
not rn this minute
Okay
Usually what you'll do if you have to do financing like this is pay half of the cost up front
Okay
After that, whatever you do do not just make the minimum payment. Put in enough that you can pay the whole thing off within a month or two
If you slip up, they will eat your money
Okay
Personally I would save up the money I would be making towards the payments over a few months, and then get the laptop when I had enough to buy without financing. That way I don't have to risk things going south if something happens and I can't pay off the loan on time
https://i.imgur.com/3Izc0wz.png i could get this is 3060 can keep up on 1080p
its less expemzive
i dont need something supper spected up just something that will run my games at 60FPS
@obsidian wigeon do you know of G15 is soldered
its also DDR4
My computer suddenly said that an operating system wasn’t found
check bios boot order
@obsidian wigeon so it seems if i wanna get DDR4 i have to go with 11th gen or ryzen 5000 gen
i would go 11800h
https://i.imgur.com/BJfFb08.png what about amd
ryzen edition needs bios update to fix the fan curve issue
oh
it had like problem of the fan not kicking on under load
so whats diffrence between alienware and G15
alienware is just more expensive
https://i.imgur.com/4w9778A.png @obsidian wigeon so does this look good
ye
Like all of the drives pop up in bios but when I try to boot using the drive with windows, it says there isn’t an operating system.
ooofhttps://i.imgur.com/i914mJN.png so much red
not like you'll notice it tbh
The Dell G15 (5515) is both impressive and kind of disappointing at the same time, BUT it's possible to fix most of the problems I've got with it, making it a great gaming laptop! Check Prices at Dell: https://bit.ly/3sYQbpl | Amazon: https://geni.us/FNuxsw | Newegg: https://bit.ly/3DauFCD

https://i.imgur.com/UPcpoPB.png sheeeeeesh
Can anyone help create the absolute best Price-to-Performance $1,000 Gaming and Graphic Design PC we can possibly come up with while taking into account the extreme deals we are seeing on nearly every website?
(Bonus, no ssd or storage required. Already purchased it!)
Does it have to be prebuilt?
Or just a list
ah okay
imma brew one real quickly then
You're a god as always, Foxy! Thank you!
Thank you for the assist Rommy
👍
im excited
but i dont get it
I have ram capable of 4400
my bios crashed when i applied xmp...but when i manually made the changes, i am getting 4200...as to what was 2800
i cant get it to 4400 tho
You're getting 4200 even when manually setting it to 4400?
no, if i set it to 4400 it wont post
which i think is a mb issue
but i am excited
Are you running 4 sticks or something?
That's it
*gb
Also what cpu and motherboard?
10th gen i9, prime 490-a
it just took a bios update in may
there is a very noticeable performance increase
Yeah its probably because 4 sticks, possibly could be the motherboard/ imc(integrated memory controller) or might need to be a bit more aggressive with the imc voltages than xmp
i thought about that
i dont want to push it, i mean a difference of 200mhz is not that big
and the cpu is liquid cooled/oc'd
liquid cooled doesnt mean much, it could be a 120mm aio or a 420mm aio
i dont even remember the stock speed
and even that wouldnt rly mean much, because quality also means a lot
If it doesn't post with 4400, it's probably not stable at 4200 without tweaking
its been ok so far
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JKWrY9 @untold vessel This what I made
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower
Not sure if 3060 is better in graphic design stuff
you can get a 6700xt in that budget
also did they say they didnt need storage?
But the ram would have to be knocked down to 16 tho
Yeah but ram can seem okay but still be unstable, run test mem 5 extreme anta profile to make sure, if it errors once it's unstable , it will probably take 2 hrs
https://www.overclock.net/threads/memory-testing-with-testmem5-tm5-with-custom-configs.1751608/
I didn't add storage
a bit over budget, but 6700xt https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pg2rY9
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
i mean
they don't need it
do they alr have storage?
yep
ah ok
Ye 1 tb p31
Okay new idea
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
then i wouldnt build till 40 series
^
Why so
do you already have a pc?
Better deals, better fit for 4000 series etc?
also, atx 3.0 psus
This new PC is for the cousin this time, whole family is doing it
i still have my sli 1080s 😦
ahh
oooooooh ooooh ohhh yes that's right
Like 20$ more but worth, also that psu is way more than needed
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/n8nGnt @untold vessel
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
still a goated gpu
Always grateful for your builds, Pato! Thank you!
Np
Why an adaptor?
Oh nvm
@obsidian wigeon should i got i7 12th gen or ryzen 7 6800H or ryzen 9 6900H amd cpus are $100 apart
i doubt it
1660s/ti, 1080/ti were all pretty popular
go alder lake all the way
intel!
intel on top
alder lake is better perf, 6000 series is better battery life
^
If they already have a pc -> wait
If they don't -> buy now imo, you can just go 12400 non f instead i guess but you'll also be waiting 4? Months til like the 4070 or something comes out because 4080 and 90 will come out first
Now now everyone, I think we ALLLL know that the most overpowered GPU is the glorious 1630, the absolute best representation of the PC master race
oh
these are for next day delivery
Think it was on steam survey for a while ye
oooh
personally I'd do the 12700, for the price and upgrades in parts you just can't beat it
I just would not get an Alienware laptop
^
here is high specs so for some reason intel upgrade screen is $100 more and amd upgrade screen is only $50
problem is kenzie applied for credit line of $2500 on dell
<looks at his sad envyx360 with no sound 😦
so he only has one place to get laptops
What how and why
idk
kenzie
why do you do these things before consulting someone who knows about these products

and only ask afterwards
The situation's a bit sticky. They have a 2017 iMac that can just barely run Minecraft and LoL, which thankfully, is all they want to play right now, they'd love to explore other games, but simply can't, although they'd like to and are in no rush
i was talking to ggood
pardon
and he said to get $2500 of credit on dell
If they are okay waiting then I'd wait full stop, 12400 igpu isn't going to be much better tbh, a bit but
That $2500 of credit on a Razer could have been spent so well
that isnt him saying to get it my guy
I don't know them, but taking out credit for consumer goods is not a good idea usually imo
Also just cause someone says you should do something (which it's not clear that they did) doesn't mean you should.
It's important to figure out who to listen to about what
I see, That's definitely the better option. I'll come back with this particular build in 4 months with some better knowledge. However, I doubt that there'll be a massive blowout sale when the 4000's come out, so is there ANY component that I can and absolutely should purchase right now
i agree with brauer
no but we talked he said its not his decision to fill it out but he said bryce got a 3070 laptop
i never felt warm and fuzy about financing
he said the choice is fine ofc bc its me getting a laptop
^ for luxury goods, if you couldn't buy it twice you shouldn't be buying it
credit lines are okay to take out just pay it back
what its sounding like
is that you asked multiple times and he gave up and said you do you
no
he said he cant give me a yes or no bc he doesnt know much about financials
only knows like basic stuff not that much tho
so i talked to someone else about it that is not here
Well hold on folks, I think what we should really be asking is what laptop we should be getting on dell, because it seems like we can't cancel the credit anymore
Unless a cancellation is possible?
well go back to this https://i.imgur.com/1yMoTSH.png
i have the specs i want i just dont know what cpu to put with the specs
theres more to laptops than cpu and gpu performance kenzie
the other stuff looks fine too
well 12th gen and amd 6000 are ddr5
both are 1TB ssd
what else is there then
cooling, overall quality (which is why alienware is a nono), price/perf
here we go again
k
okay
https://i.imgur.com/DBhwpYp.png the specs are ryzen 9 5900HX and 3070
this is intel i7 11800H and 3080
I will once again propose just saving up what you would be putting to payments, and then after a few months buying a laptop without dealing with financing.
As a bonus, you wouldn't be limited to dell
If you can actually afford to buy something on a credit line, then you can afford to buy the same thing without a credit line a few months down the road
ik but im tired of waiting
what do you need the laptop for
wait
can i just return it if i dont like my purchase
I have no clue how returns work with credit lines
I wouldn't be surprised if they have some way to gouge you for it
lol
can't cancel the order?
https://i.imgur.com/MzcZiJw.png 😁 i ordered it time to se how cooling is
well im sure gaming isnt gunna push it to its limits
https://i.imgur.com/3c0orRN.png most people are saying its good
Ehhhhh
shoulda gone for the g15
i mean i can canel but how much fps im losing to go to 3070 ti to 3060
fine i cancel ill take a few days look over everything then choose
I’ve tried everything I can find online and my computer still can’t find the OS. It’s been 2 hrs and imma just give up and get a new drive
Yes
All of them are but I the fixes I used last time this happened isn’t working this time
Then it's probably not dead and just something corrupted. Easy fix is reinstall windows.
That one was crap, they overhyped the cooling but it thermal throttles quickly
But they're so small they do almost nothing
Oh
Alright guys, I'm looking to build a Non-Fully complete Shell Gaming PC with all of the great deals that are out right now. I'll be putting a 4000 series graphics card inside, most likely the 4060 or 4070, and need tips on which parts I can actually buy.
I made note that I should hold off on the power supply, and wait for something called atx-3, but other than that, what parts CAN I "pre-buy"? Case? Mobo? CPU? RAM? What's on the table?
By the time we have new GPUs we'll probably have new CPUs too, do I wouldn't plan too much just yet
basically, wait for everything
since we don't know which of the next gen CPUs will be good, we don't know which mobos to get
and therefore we wouldn't know which ram to buy either
and case wise, might as well wait for everything else at this point
Wait
The best move is to secure whatever the hardest to get part is (based on recent experiences a 40 series GPU) and then get the rest of the parts
Hey can someone recommend me a lga 1200 cpu for photoshop use
also if anyone knows of a decent 2x16gb 3600mhz ram kit
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rFrmFg anyone to double check this?
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P300A Mesh ATX Mid Tower
prolly just power supply
looks fine, id spend the extra for 4000d airflow if it were my build but p300a is still a good case
oh wait
also spend the extra $10 for msi b660a
wicked, cousin liked the look of the p300a better, actually the p360a white is what he is scooping im pretty sure, but i showed him that the 4000d and h510 airflow and just let him pick the case
ive got some fans im giving him too for it
ill update the mobo
thank you, and beautiful profile pic
h510 flow is meh
its better than h510 but overpriced
yeah all aesthetic choice tbh, also i use some wack ass cases for my builds so i know basically only about the p300a/4000d as the go to's
thank you forg, noted
mb311l def has some issues with some modern cards
true
open air.. ez fix
even that doesnt fix it
youd need like a riser cable/ vert mount to fix it
can i get an analysis on this build? unnecessary parts etc
CPU - 5900x
GPU - 6900xt
RAM - 4 x 32gb of cl16 3200mhz
SSD 1 - 500gb 970 evo plus
SSD 2/3 - 1tb 970 evo plus
CPU COOLER - NH-D15
PSU - focus plus 1000w gold
MOBO - crosshair viii hero x570
CASE - masterbox Q500L
this next check is the last check needed to purchase it all
LOT of ram
purchasing that new would be quite bad value
LOL true, also no pricing on each part but imma assume bad value from the hardware lsited
That’s what overkill looks like.
Yep
im not able to edit the part list but im sure another knowledgable person here can
not if its literally not being used
then its just useless not overkill
iTs FoR CYbeRbUg 2077
Overkill is different than just straight wasting money, lol. AK620 beats D15, P31 Hynix beats 970 evo plus, etc
no lol
wasting money is wasting money, overkill you'd actually have a perfromance gain thats not needed for your usecase
an excess of something (such as a quantity or an action) beyond what is required or suitable for a particular purpose
cpu $399
gpu $899
mobo $399
psu $289
ram $564
ssd $300 total
From Merriam Webster
I think an excess beyond what is required or suitable aligns nicely with a waste of money
what are you using the pc for, whats the budget, and do you already have a gpu
yes that is dictionary definition but this is straight up wasted funds with zero improvement to experience / visual aesthetic
564 for ram, both overkill and useless
dont have a gpu budget is when i have saved enough so not a real number
use is photography edits and gaming
what is the budget
there is not a budget
heres what i have so far https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YYF4Bj
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
I agree it's unnecessary but saying that two things that mean the same thing don't mean the same thing is weird to me
so you can spend $5000 without issue?
everyone has a max of what they want to spend
Could use a 6700 or 6800xt for this system
its not a cost constraint but Im trying to stay team red
i dont think this is an argument worth pursuing ima just agree to disagree some people understood some didnt
12700f beats 5900x and is cheaper
Yep
motherboard capability is also something i considered for awhile
i like the x570 platform
b550s are better than x570s, unless you need extra pcie lanes
in which case z690 would be the alternative
which would be this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GNbwk9
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
also could technichally utilize a gen 4 ssd, if wanted
s70 blade would be fine
mmm idk.. at this budget hes def making decisions based off aesthetic not pure bang for the buck
although i do think intel is the way no point in going 5900x or anything amd rn
Besides the $169 P31, there are however certain gen 4 drives that are very close price to most gen 3 stuff. S70 (blade or not) & the copy named "adata premium" is $200ish. Would photog editing use that? Idk
g6 spendyyyyyyyyy
It's not $270 though.
oh its a 1000w
its the 1000w instead of the 850
thought it was the 850 lol
Ive seen large debates on whether AIOs are actually effective or not
from what ive seen that noctua is the best tdp cooler
yo would a 11900k die under a 240mm msi cooler
Reason: Bad word usage
arctic freezer ii is a really good aio
i knew it was a leader in aio back then but i thought the d15 still whooped its ahh
Yea probably. Also the AK620 for $55-60 matches a D15. Btw S70 blade is exactly $200 on amazon currently, but if you wanted a really nice one P41 is $221 again w/ it's coupon. If gen 4 isn't needed for that photog work then P31 is very solid.
the 970 evo plus is gen4 though and at 75 per tb its a lower price point on the p31
The 970 is gen 3 bruh. Is the $150 sale back? That's a fine choice then. I jist wanted the best gen 3 & $20 was worth it
also i can separate games on one and photos etc on the other
my bad on the gen3/4 i didnt read deep enough on that
Theyre the same
Hey can anyone help me my PC keeps crashing and making a loud buzzing noise after a few seconds it’s restarts itself
Anyone know what might be the issue
Maybe something shorting
Check your case for any loose screws or something that might be touching your motherboard. I will say though probably should’ve turned off immediately if that was the issue
So it seems to only happen when I’m playing valorant
might be a gigabyte psu (I’m not gunna be much help from here on I’m at work)
What psu do you have
cooler master v2 850w 80plus gold fullly modular
(Warning, this is loud and high pitched, might want to turn audio down)
no
Deleting it so no one's ears die if they click it
Is it similar at all?
I'm assuming it's a bsod noise
Check windows event viewer
Run an sfc/scannow in command prompt, if you know how
And do you know what ram you have?
Are you mixing ram from two different kits?
no idea how to do this
crosshair 16gb vengance pro
Corsair?
corsair sorry looool
Also in windows search bar, type in cmd
Run command prompt as admin
Type in sfc/scannow
No spaces
And hit enter
Do you have xmp/docp enabled?
If corsair did a corsair and has diff dies in each stick, it could be causing crashes
gotta cut costs
If they don't have xmp or docp enabled, it's likely to not be the ram
buzzing noise could be coil whine in a loading screen or something
ye
Because from what I've been told, ram is fine at jedec with mixed dies
fps limiter can help if its mainly happening in loading screens and stuff
like 2k fps in loading screens?
I never had it with my fps uncapped on my 3600
mc java is more cpu based right? bc my im averaging like 30-40 fps maxed out settings with a i7 10700k and a 3090
It's everything based
unless you have a ton of shaders and stuff, yeah its cpu based typically
You can keep adding shaders or resource packs to bring even the fastest gaming system to a stuttering halt
mc do be stuttering these days for me
idk how to fix it tbh
except playing old versions
java also doesnt really care for more cores, it just want a faster core
i can't enjoy the game much cause of the stutters
even with optifine the stutters still happen
changing the chunk loader increases fps
have optifine?
Have you tried sodium
Darm
i dont think so
There was a third one too, I forget what it was
iris?
I thought iris was just shaders, idk though
im getting a lot of stutters
i tried iris
32 chunks aint worth it
it's well sodium with shaders
How much ram are you giving it?
32gb of ram
i now have 12 gigs of ram on this laptop
i might try running mc again with this extra ram
nice
i think imma just buy bedrock
i kinda want to play in rtx
bedrock is free if u have java, pretty nice
I do have java
whats up gamers i have a question
does anyone think it would be worth upgrading from the r7 3700x to the 9 5900x?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TJn84s
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, Radeon RX 5700 XT, Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB ATX Mid Tower
current pc^
Are you gaming?
yes
I'd upgrade ram to a 32gb kit
Tridentz has a white rgb kit
Also, depends on price of the 5900x
But 3700x is pretty much fine to pair with a 3080 or 6800xt in most cases
5900x is about $400 rn
if there is a gpu on sale, im going to see about getting it but i think im really just trying to justify future-proofing
Future proofing isn't a thing
Especially when upgrading something you already have
The limiting factors in your build are gpu and ram, not cpu
Which is why I'd upgrade those first
how would ram limit it?
I would like to upgrade ram but ive never been able to justify it, probably because i never saw any problems with mine
16gb isn't enough when you're considering putting a 5900x or 6800xt/3080 in your system
ah
do you think it would be dumb if i mixed it with these?
CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL DDR4 memory lights up your PC while delivering peak performance in a compact form factor just 44mm tall for wide compatibility with CPU coolers. Every module boasts ten bright, individually controlled RGB LEDs for brilliant illumination. Take control with CORSAIR iCUE...
mixing ram generally isnt reccomended
especially ram like that where its not reliably binned/same die
ok what if i just replaced the current with those?
those arent great value for what you get
its just overpriced for a meh at best product
if you want rgb ram in 32gb, check this out https://www.newegg.com/silicon-power-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820301424?
isnt ddr4 3200 worse than 3600
this stuff has a lower latency
so the corsair may be like a half fps better type of thing
if it runs at that speed, which it most likely would
the latency is the "cl"
like cl16, cl18, etc
basically on this chart, the lower the number in the color, the better
red is good?
green is good
but some of the stuff here is just calculated using formula, most of it is physically impossible to achieve with modern hardware
generally 3200cl16 and 3600cl18 are the best value for a 2x16 kit
so cl are the numbers on the left?
mhmm
how can i see cl on ram before i buy it
would it be in the specs on the website its being sold on?
i cant find it on the kit you posted
if you dont care for the rgb stuff, this is great https://www.newegg.com/silicon-power-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820301435?
both kits ive posted are 3200 cl16
oh i found it
so i would need at least 32gb of ram before i upgrade to a better cpu/gpu?
not a need, but it may be nice depending on what you do
you can always upgrade later tho after you get a cpu/gpu
ill send the list again but do you think it would be better to upgrade cpu or gpu
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, Radeon RX 5700 XT, Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB ATX Mid Tower
what do you do with the pc?
im not really having any major problems, just some lag sometimes while playing fps like warzone
mainly game but light work on it as well
nothing like video editing
what type of games other than warzone?
thats mainly it, sometimes the forest, fortnite, gta
val
95 percent of the time its warzone
stuttering sounds like something that could be fixed by updating drives if you havent, or doing ddu
!ddu
DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Guide by Pato
https://github.com/NeweggTechie/Graphics-cards/wiki/How-to-use-DDU
ive kept everything up to date but ill check out ddu
I would match that kit of ballistix those are usually great ram sticks
stuttering mainly happens in warzone and that game is horribly optimized so idk if thats the issue
they dont sell mine anymore
Yeah, you have to hunt for them now, they're going out of stock everywhere sadly
if i could match specs but get 32gb instead, you think it would make a difference if i put them with my current?
