I think the GE76 has two SSD slots, so I could go two 4tb RAID 0 or 8tb single (I think). Problem I am having though is that laptop base specs is like 4k because it will only allow a 30 series graphics card.. So i would be close to like 4.5k or something... Also, have to have a laptop for portability.

It's hard to avoid updating bios even on the latest boards. The best you could do is get one with flashback. Different brands call it different things but it allows you to update bios without a CPU even installed.

Ok so if you're on 5000 series then 3600 c16 is kinda the sweet spot for performance/price ratio but not really worth upgrading to from your current

3600 c14 is expensive but would be excellent

u can prob get 3800 mhz cl 14 at like 1.5 volts

You could go for a higher clock speed kit like that and overclock it yes but if you're not comfortable doing that then 3600 c14 kit is ideal
