Where can I find this
well, you gotta click into the listing itself
There's a filter for wifi on pcpp
Found it! Thank you!
What do all of you think of this build? It's use-case is 4K video editing, 3D modeling, and Gaming.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bxwx9r
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
was not the same bacca built in the morning? o.O
looks pretty ok and im glad you ditched the 4k monitor
~~You could swap to a slightly cheaper mobo and get better memory https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Kfvp3y~~
~~Oh right you wanted wifi, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VDZ64s~~
Pssst, b660m mortar wifi is 10$ less and also you included 2 different ram kits
Well the ram was a slip-up but I don't like to recommend mATX unless it's super budget or a micro build
Now with only one ram kit https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bLyjW4
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Damn, these are beautiful
Fair enough, can also go asus tuf 750w for like 59 iirc
Yeah, we're going for ATX with wifi so it fills out the 4000D
I like the sound of that! Where can I find it?
Nvm, tuf 650w, 750w went back up in price
tuf 650w > evga 650w?
Gt and tuf are about as good yes, tuf is just cheaper
ah
Gt prob better than tuf tbh
Can someone help me out with how to fix the orange light that show up when I boot my computer it says Dram
Try take out the ram and put it back in
Make sure it's in slots 2 and 4 if you only have 2 sticks
If that doesn't work clear cmos
If that doesn't work try only one stick in each slot and then same with other stick
Unlikely... Especially if it just stopped working
I should have mentioned it a new pc build brand new
I built it
and no post so far? hopefully are the dimm slots only
Thx you wither way I just got the green light
Either*
Cool
Thx I can boot now
nothing a good ol' white rubber cant solve
is everything running ok?
If you want 2tb of storage, the p31 2tb is on a great sale for $170 rn
that led blinks when some process is active on your pc
Its an "activity" blink, like loading a program
Yeah
Huh?
pepperidge farm remembers
Is this an issue?
could be, some mobos have the bios up to date, some other need an update for the cpu to work, thats why the bios flashback is always a welcome addition on any mobo
what do I do in that case? / no clue how updating BIOS works
if the folks here recommend you that mobo for your 12400f you dont need to worry
it will work fine
it is the MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4
just PCPP being dumb.
Your CPU will work on that MOBO out of box.
yup
aight crispy cool
could be a thing with the 13th gen, they will need a bios update on those mobos
but yours will work just fine
What do you think of this build?
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/2DbBrD
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3070 LHR, Lian Li LANCOOL 215 ATX Mid Tower
prices in Germany compared to the US are kinda too high
@fossil cedar arrive
I made a list yesterday
When I’m on xmp profile only half my ram is detected. While off xmp profile all my ram is detected. Even when I manually raise speed to 3200 mhz only half is recognized. Mobo: asrock b550 phantom m-itx and ram vengeance 3200 2x16
Decreased budget?
Probably best to contact ram seller/corsair and get a replacement
Should I try updating bios first?
It's worth a shot but I haven't heard of that issue
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Lian Li LANCOOL 215 ATX Mid Tower
No
It won't need it, it's just pcp being stupid
It'll be up to date already
ye I guess the i5 12400f and the arctic freezer 34 esports will do the job
Going 6750xt cuts price more for just as good card too
And saved bit of money on mobo and ram and psu
is "fractal design" good? / does brand matter in psu's?
great great, guess am going with this build then
but still not sure if 6750xt is the right thing
why?
nvidia feels kinda more premium lmao
youll either spend more for the same perf or spend the same for worse perf
does amd has its own record program etc.?
Ye
Theoretically, slight chance isn't
alright I currently have xpg lancer rgb 6000mhz 32gb kit and wanna add extra 32gb kit but I wonder if same model can have different die
couse my current kit have hynix m die and stable overclocked to 6400mhz
DDR5 right? Do not run 4 sticks DDR5 if you want to run above 4800
^
so gettin 2x32gb kit is better ?
Unless you have a $800 high end overclocking board yes
not sadly
Most boards using daisy chain topology can't hold the signal integrity good enough on DDR5. Some boards are so bad you have to underclock to 4400 just to get it to post.
oof
There was a video explaining more, I'll grab it

22 min
Buildzoid does ramble a bit in his vids but it's all good info
I already slept, I don't need to sleep again
yeah I will check it out later but I working right now lol
dont have 22 minutes to watch it lmao
If you have headphones you can just listen
2x32gb 6000mhz kit is alright right ?
https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z690-a-gaming-wifi-model/ this one is my mobo
ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI Intel LGA 1700 ATX motherboard, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, 16+1 power stages, WiFi 6E, Intel® 2.5 Gb Ethernet, four M.2 slots, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 USB Type-C®, SATA and Aura Sync
Max they say it supports with 2x32gb is 5600 and it will be hard to run that
where can I find that info lol
ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI Intel LGA 1700 ATX motherboard, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, 16+1 power stages, WiFi 6E, Intel® 2.5 Gb Ethernet, four M.2 slots, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 USB Type-C®, SATA and Aura Sync
Asus has a nice filter for the QVL
And the reason it's hard to run is in the video
oof 4400mhz for 4x16
looks like gonna stick with 32gb
Z790 should be better in theory, since it'll be second gen on DDR5 and they'll have learned a few tricks
Interesting. I mean it would make sense, the only thing to stop that would be Intel begging them to not put the D4 slots
dont expecting big upgrade with 13th gen
It will be quite huge in multi
RPL quite cool
But also of note is AM4 isn't totally dead end, they'll still make something for it later. Probably low end parts.
Damn xt variants probably
lol
Nah
A $400 5600xt that performs 3% better than a 5600x
13900k wen
I saw an interview with one of the engineers and that's not it
5.8ghz
Hopefully it doesn't get nah worse
6000 series apus will be am4
The 5500 was already quite bad
desktop*
5500 is joke
I'd love to see a zen 3 quad core tho
I thought 6000 was laptops only
And not a 5300g
I know that exists
And could do well in budget if they put out like a decent quad core
Thought amd said they'd be in am5?
only thing I like about amd cpus is fast comression which I dont use much lol
Is there anything similar to this but cheaper?
yes
what are they? lol
or theres this as well, 850 A tier for $95 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/WxZzK8/msi-mpg-a-gf-850-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-mpg-a850gf
are you making a whole new build?
yea
what country do you live in and whats the budget?
I believe the max W I'd use is about 450 lol
Itx? The ones frog linked won't work
US and no budget I just want somethin cheaper
oh didnt realize it was itx
then you have a budget
whats cheap to you might be $700 to me and 1200 to you
true
No graphics card?
I don't have a gpu in rn since I'm gonna just switch the one I have from the pc I'm using rn into it
Which is?
I have everything in this but the cpu, motherboard, case, and psu
Nvidia GTX 650 lol
i wouldnt get that mobo
i would make a whole new build
what the budget for the rebuild atm?
1 sec
Oooooof
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M8Ln6r - 500 dollars max for the stuff that I don't have yet
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 Mini ITX Desktop
Should be able to get a new gpu tbh
yea I can I'm just waiting for the right pricing before I actually buy lol
thats why I don't have it added and the gpu I'm gonna use is gonna be temp
Pricing is good now
yea I'm looking into em rn but I just wanna make the minor adjustments before I go 100% with everything in this
How do I update my B550 Gaming Edge Wifi Board?
I went to msi and downloaded the file and put it on a usb drive
then went to m flash
and selected the drive but there is no file in there
How do I update
Help
@mossy plaza what kind of gpu you prepping to use
probably a 1060
Why? And they're like 120ish rn
idk I just want something thats vr ready lol
im trying to do this bc i want to see if the bios is the problem because 1/4 of my ram sticks wont light up
ig so I just wanna spend not too much on a gpu lol
i would spend less on the rest of the build to spend more on a gpu
vr on a 1060 will not be fun
what should I replace the rest with then?
are you deadset on itx?
If I can get somethin cheaper ig not
Could probably get one for 250 used if you look
If you don't mind going atx you can save about 50 on the psu, 20 on the mobo, 40 on the case
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
and then get a 6600
a lot
Can someone send me the best pc case for $120
q360a, 4000d airflow, p400a
are some that i like
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6600, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6600, Phanteks Eclipse P200A Performance Mini ITX Tower
G not q*
Lian li 215 is also nice for the price atm
is the ique 4000x good its on sale and its around that price range
May as well go gt650 or cx550
ok
Tuf is just as good and 6$ cheaper
Tuf b 650 for $60 is just too steep
Gt is 65
$5 for full mod is worth
Eh
Even if they don't know if they want it
It's not they're going kinda budget
the price for that case is $115 is that its normal price?
98$
for me its $115
Then cx550f
oh on amazon its $115
Requires mir
Ez to do, I received mine in 2 months
2 months 💀
It's just as good as gt etc
No mod
anyone else watch the GN video on transients
Yea
@fossil cedar so should i get the 215 or the 4000d
it was fun
Nah didn't have the energy to watch it yet
Up to you, 4000d airflow and lian li 215 are both good
it's not really any groundbreaking new info
so it's not a must watch
I enjoyed it tho
Ah okay
Sips what's your opinion on this
on what
Cx550f for like sub $50 after Mir, tuf b 650 for 60, no modular tho, or $65 for gt650, which is full mod
On a build trying to keep costs low
isn't this the same guy that was waving around the 12900k 3080ti list for fortnite for 2 months
The mrpik guy?
Mrpik not for flexy
Even without mod?
non modular has never bothered me much
I can cram non modular + extensions into a p360a no problem
gotcha lol
imo modularity isn't really worth $5
will choose modular over non modular at the same price
MIR is just unreliable and takes a while
and having 650w over 550w will be nice
even if we're trying to keep budget low, skimping $10 on the psu isn't the way to go
just my opinion
You'd get a better quality unit by doing it tho
Tuf b uses teapo iirc
Basically a cx greatwall
what's the original price of the cxf
One of my rgb ram sticks wont light up what do i do
Like MSRP?
also I've been messing with this laptop for 2 hours
and the 256gb ssd is already 1/3 full
lol
Damn
65 kek
5$ more for 15 back later
2 months later
And 100$ less
Ram is reseated and changed spots, bios is updated still nothing

Bruh
I need help with a build I'm doing
I think I'm having a hard time with the fornt panel connectors such as the power
Oh I got it
I just learned
Lmao
Wait
Why my fans have no light
;c
I need halp
Oh shi
My frist ever build I'm crying
Soon 👀
this board any good?
would 12600k be ideal or nah
... there's no heatsinks
take that as a no
Maybe a 12100 or lower
And is that only 10 total power stages? They cut every cost they could
thats a very lonely mobo 😦
throwback to Z series motherboards having 4 power stages
Just missing my GPU…. It cleared customs today so hopefully I have it by Saturday
should handle a 12400f probs
With direct airflow maybe
or garbage
Nice nice!
Ok ✅

https://a.co/d/gRA1Fw3 is this a somewhat decent budget build? I've got a friend who's looking to do some light gaming but doesn't want to spend much. It looks like it can play games decently, not the best but not the worst. Looks a little sketchy on amazon though....
no it is not
that pc is as old as me
whats the most you can spend?
that's terrible
this is MILES better, can get some parts used https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YCMBrD
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, Cougar MX330-G ATX Mid Tower
they're looking to spend less than $600
ok, one sec
oh ok
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J49fmr do this and throw a used gpu in
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Cougar MX330-G ATX Mid Tower
oh wait
forgot to change ssd size, one sec
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Cougar MX330-G ATX Mid Tower
i somehow managed to snag an RTX 3060 during covid
leaves $200 for a gpu
idk how but its a great budget gpu imo
bananas
id aim for a 1660/s, 1060 6gb, 1070,
You can get a 1080 for under $200
with some luck, yeah
Almost as good as the 3060
might have some issues on the 450w psu though, no?
only problem is they kinda live in a diff state and they have no idea how to build a PC
soooo
idk how i'd do that
that kinda sucks
Guess it's 5600G prebuilt time
i mean its not that hard but like
could you guide them through it in vc or smthn?
because at that budget its near impossible to get a good build
no clue
hmm
I think it was around $100
i would recommend saving some more if its possible
yeah id agree
i got a crap monitor for $80 when i first got my pc
it worked fine, it was just 1360x768 at 60hz
now ive got a 1080p monitor at 165hz 💪
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali491-challenger/p/N82E16883360086R?Description=ABS 1660 open box&cm_re=ABS_1660 open box-_-83-360-086R-_-Product&quicklink=true if they can save a bit more, this isnt the worst thing to get
that actually looks good
oof
oh wait
one second
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/ConfigureView?langId=-1&storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&catEntryId=3074457345619629318&urlLangId=&quantity=1 can get this with this ram https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zBTzK8/silicon-power-xpower-turbine-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3200-memory-sp016gxlzu320bda
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mwrYcf/seagate-barracuda-computer-2-tb-35-7200rpm-internal-hard-drive-st2000dm008 and this hard drive
and thats just a little over budget
nice
still can do better with the custom build, but if they cant build themselves theres worse
if they can spend more, $40 more for the 1650s is worth it
looks like that about covers all the options
yeah
man i need one of those hard drives lmao
my windows 10 and normal files are on one SSD
512 GB lmao
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9wVmP6/western-digital-wd-blue-4-tb-35-5400rpm-internal-hard-drive-wd40ezaz this is kind of attractive ngl
hmmm my pc has never seen a HDD lmao
i have 2 solid states in my computer
one of them i got for free at microcenter
256 gb SSD
which i filled up in like a day thanks to modern games
would this make for slower loading times tho? or is this relatively fast
Reason: Bad word usage
whoops
its fine enough
@potent portal any idea on quality?
WD Blues aren't super fast but they are pretty reliable
7200 Blues are faster at least
lol
thats all ya need to know
im waiting for SSDs to drop in price
do yall think that'll happen anytime soon?
mp33 2tb for $140
not bad
just dont get if you like to write stuff somewhat often
thats why imo mp33 2tb is kinda a niche item in a way
Don't get what? The SSD? They're great for that
you can write to them a bunch and they'll be fine
mp33 on longer writes kinda dies
o
I have a 5 year old $30 M.2 drive that still reports 100% health
damn
Not even kidding
my chromebook says its internal hard drive is named "MMC/SD", is the hard drive really a frickin SD card
cus if so thats hilarious
nope
i recently burnt a UEFI bios to my chromebook's ROM chip bcus i got tired of the legacy bios thing
scariest 5 minutes of my life
but it works great now
once the cache for the mp33 is full, it slows to like 185MBps
so yeah if longer writes are your thing, look somewhere else imo
what?
ones a ryzen board and one is intel 12th gen
Oh
why does crystal disk info have an anime girl on it like is it really necessary lol
ofc its necessary
They do have the regular version but Shizuku is cute so why not
lol
falcie, what would you rate ryfa?
The Ryzen girl?
yea
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being instant waifu I'd say a 7
bro why is there so much anime in the computer world
not only in the computer world
Probably because you can enjoy it in the computer world without being judged like you would irl
is a global trend
lol
More than 2x writes of Fal cie at 27TBW, so pretty good considering.
Mostly becase of the internet. You're welcome
i do a lot of programming on my SSD, it’s not just gaming, also windows uses the same SSD, jeez i’m killing my SSD lol
i think programming would be best on a HDD because virtually unlimited writes
well, was designed with heavy use in mind
technically you are using it, not "killing it"
i almost defragged my SSD once and then i realized SSDs don’t need that
The health is almost literally just the current TBW anyways.
id estimate my SSD will last me another 5 or 10 years
plenty of time
maybe even longer
Will a T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 32GB Kit (2x16GB) be compatible with this mobo? https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813144543
Nope, ddr5 mobo. Get a ddr4 mobo bruh
incompatible parts is my nightmare
it’s annoying researching that stuff too imo but it pays off
Ok, Thankyou
Pro tip, big rigs also don't run on gasoline, usually.
annoying? researching tech things is very enjoyable, at least for me 😛
wait really? my PC is running on gasoline
gotta take my PC to the gas station every week
just dont smoke while you compile 😛
the gas station vacuums are good for cleaning dust from the fans ;)
Power out & generator going, that's when a pc runs on gas/diesel, lol. -- I just have a good big air compressor. Use once a month or so. Edit, yes I want an UPS. Power is crap in CA sometimes.
during a bios update
thats a good question.... new mobos can be saved if the power is cut out while you are flashing the bios? or still a brick will happen?
EPROM tools exist right
like flashing your 660 or 690 for a 13th gen bios and suddenly zap, blackout
thats one of my greatest fears
bad timing lol
Pro tip, have a mobo w/ flashback* & a 2nd bios.
i bricked a kindle because i was stupid and didn’t research if what i was flashing was compatible
red screen now
and idk if it’s the LEDs but it gets hot after some time
the flashback button can save a bios from that eventuality?
my dog ate my bios chip
Idk, flashback is for just plugging in flashdrive w/ bios & you hold the mobo button, not needing internet or even a monitor. I'm not 100% if that could undue a bricking Though
basic input output dog
so what does a bios update look like cus i’ve never seen one
Not much to it. Varies by mobo sometimes. Normal way plug in drive w/ new bios version, go in bios to Qflash or w/e then update. Couple min process. Bios file is literally just a few MB.
Like under the hood? Just a bunch of encoded hex
Hey guys. I'm new here..I have a billion dollar budget. Need a parts list
. thanks
one sec
Thank you ..I just want a computer for my emails
here you go sir https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JhQTrD
PC Builder - Intel Core 2 Duo E7300, Quadro GV100, Corsair 780T ATX Full Tower
Ah shucks...you can't do a billion dollars? I need to loosen up this pocket change @mossy venture
my paypals open
I bet you Dell would be happy to part you from your money. You could spend a good $400k on a server.
Ok. I will look at Dell.. thank you, guys
happy to help
ive been wondering this for a few days now, whats the best possible cpu for a minecraft server someone could buy? i heard its about higher clock speed but im not 100% sure
3995wx
or that one amd epyc cpu
7203?
Or new Zen 3 Threadripper when it comes
anything under like a grand? i know its a strange request but im asking for a friend so im not 100% what he wants lol
12900k or 5950x then
aight ty
12900k 100%
is there a reason why?
e cores might get a lil funky, no?
yeah i read 5950x is better on le google but i dont trust it lol
Nope, not if it's the latest version of MS server
then id go 12900k too
Or just use Win11 and set up the hosting stuff manually, much cheaper
another question, would you guys mind putting together a quick "reference" pc part picker list i can base it off, 1400 ish gbp
for server hosting?
yeah'
or gaming in general
server only
im not sure if hosting requires anything in terms of gpu
I mean if your hosting a server the real question is what is this server being used for?
If I may ask
32gb or 64
64
rpg type server, 150+ bosses, quests etc
and also an smp on the side
it is
do looks matter?
Oh hmm
it could look like a dog for all i care xd
You perhaps want speed than
more like cpu core frequency
Indeed
smthn like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cT2p3y
PC Builder - Intel Core i9-12900K, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
A thread ripper perhaps
he want it under 1k
anyone got any change idea's, if not, i appreciate the help
1.4
I could build a thread ripper under 1k lol
pato best person to ask
pato is my old pal
i dont know servers well, so i would def seek a second opinion
I built mine for 1k using eBay
pato is love, pato is life
Then sold it
honestly, as long as it runs fast, doesnt die on him, and has room for upgrade if it ever needs it, im happy
he is the guy who builds cool pc's isnt he
Yeah I build pcs as well
But mine are more efficiently built I don’t use rbg as much I have a different build style than most
i personally hate rgb, just cus it hurts my eyes after having it too bright
There's Z690 bundles I'd look at too on Newegg
ty my friend
I have what you would call a mid max build style lol
Muffin if you don’t mind may I dm you?
feel free
oh forgot about that
but yeah idk much about servers either tbh
at least, that high end of ones
i can do like little mc servers and stuff
Servers you definitely don't want DDR5 yet, at least not until stability issues with more than 1 stick are worked out
After I build the pc I need to download drivers but got no internet connection. I have a usb drive that I'm gonna use to install drivers on it to transfer it on this computer. Wha website do I need to download from to get the drivers I need?
I heard driver pack offline is a option what else
What motherboard
That's the one I have
But I don't have internet connection to download any driver online so I need to go to other computer rip
Oh shi thanks
Once you have network connection the rest are here https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z490-GAMING-EDGE-WIFI/support#driver
Wait can I use my phone as a usb drive
Yes
Browsers will put things in the Download folder by default, and if it's Android you'll just need to change the connection mode to transfer files.
yes
What is better for everything amd or intel
Currently, 12th gen wins in price/perf
That is intel
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JfFjW4 hey guys this is my friends pc that he plans to build does it look ok?
PC Builder - Intel Pentium Gold G5400, GeForce GT 1030, Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh White w/ Controller ATX Mid Tower
that's bad lol
you can get i3 12100f for less
mobo already bought is the sad thing
and you don't even need to pay for windows
an aio is uneeded for a pentium
he says he already has the motherboard, cooler, case
damn
that's some real heckup right there
try to find an i5 9400f used i guess
imma redo some stuff
but honestly, i can only say nothing but to tell your friend to return all those things asap
especially the mobo
case is good
I cant tell if that's a joke or not
If he's able to, return what he bought
its really not
jesus
where did they get advice from?
no one in their right mind buys b365 board rn
he says he bought it all during an amazon tech sale so he can't return it
I have no clue
I didn't give him any
it doesn't mean those orders can't be returned
i can make a better build than this for similar price
a lot better
What you can do for the same price
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6600 XT, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
yes please
yeah what bacca did is what i would go
That is a MUCH better build
Cpu will destroy any cpu other than the 9900k that can run on that mobo
6600xt is miles better than the 1030
probs costs less too
And all around quality is better
considering that mobo isn't listed in price
you can still have rgb ram and it would cost less
thanks for the help
Happy to
Anyone know a good case with no side window?
does anyone know any rgb fans that are cheap and reliable?
arctic p12 argb
mx330-g is one i can think of
the air version
Ty
Do you also by chance know a good motherboard for the i5 12600k? I wanted something with wifi but can't seem to find one under 200ish
hm
honestly oc is not an absolute need
just get 12700f imo
board can do with msi b660m-a pro wifi
Is it more expensive Xd
not really
Alright
you still spend less with 12700f and that board
K ty
Nothing work sadly
thanks 🙂
Can someone check this out and give their opinions, I'm just curious about what could be changed
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, GeForce RTX 3060, NZXT H510 Flow ATX Mid Tower
what use case?
Ideally I was going for a blackout approach with white led ram and fans but not sure
1080p light gaming, school work
There's a lot I'd change about this
12700f is super overkill to pair with a 3060 for gaming
Let's hear it :)
Give me a min, I'll make a list
sure
K
i would but im in lobby rn
I'm not building it now, at the point when I do build ill probably purchase to one of the 40 series gpus assuming prices don't go through the roof like last launch
What's the budget for the whole build?
👀
Ideally around $1300 but I can probably do max of $150p
Also in that case, 12700f might be warranted
1500
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wKpqbK I'd do this and change gpu around as you have to
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
But prices change
What's a good buy now might be terrible two months from now
Yeah
So I'd check back in with us before you build
I'm kinda at a conflict between going all out rgb and keeping it blackout with white led
For me, idc about looks
At the end of the day I just want performance and don't care too much aby the look
Performance is performance
Ye
Lmao cya
Yea I just need ethernet to dowload the ones I need
Does anyone know a solid 1.1-2k build? Want to build my first pc next week
Are you gaming?
Yea my bad should've put that
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
Make sure you buy the cpu from the non sketchy amazon seller
The $160 one is weird
Preciate it
i only see one $160 seller
the legit amazon one is showing as $170 for me
just go B&H
The $160 one is a sketchy seller
Unless it's a diff seller from the last time I checked
yea
Well actually
If switched to mp33 1tb, then could do 12600kf ye
But the p31 2tb is such a nice deal
Imo worth it for most people
If you like this one more, it works as well https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8dMqbK
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600KF, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
Just 1tb less storage to have the better cpu
And a bit worse ssd, though you won't notice a huge difference for gaming
We did, just saying. (temporarily)
-- Personally I'm skipping the 12600K until it's near $230 again, if it is. -- For Forg/Aj, yea another P31 vote.

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Tk8bt6/intel-core-i5-12600kf-37-ghz-6-core-processor-bx8071512600kf there was a 12600KF for 240$
Ah not bad. Yea them E cores don't do much in my games. I'd probably just save the moderate $70ish w/ the 12400F. Plus, later option to maybe sell 12400F at a small loss then switch up to 13600K or w/e. I'm still back to attempting to sell my RKL setup for a bit (not on Ebay, yet).
the ocing benefit is minuscule tbh
OC is OC in my eyes.
pushing more performance not matter how much.. is more performance.. this is also coming from a standpoint that power consumption means nothing to me.
That's not even the biggest sell of the 12600k tbh
12600k is good cpu but intel prices went up somehow lol probably couse it was selling good
okay i wanna start flipping pcs for profit bc i wanna earn some money so whats number 1 thing to look for
Ask that character in here who supposedly has """""""11 businesses""""""""
can't remember their name
I thought about buying all these parts that get put on super sale.. then building the PC and selling for the normal price of the parts + cost of time/knowledge to build it.
well i found a airflow case on facebook for $50 off the MSRP
little dusty tho
also is $60 good for a 360mm rad
Both those are decent
Look on here on the daily
also here for stuff
Sometimes you can find really cheap deals
That's like external extra power right?
Oh so just to make it look cleaner
Incredibly ugly in my opinion, it makes nothing look better
I don't see the point of it yeah lol
At least with the use of custom sleeved cables it looks awful, I would rather see the cables
Non custom sleeved cables, it may look better?
Eh idc much what my pc looks like so I'm the wrong one to ask lol
LOL
To me the powerlink is far less ugly than some people's setups w/ gpu cables strung up from the bottom or such. Power on the end was a common thing before 900 series. I just wish it was specifically only for evga.
It reduces electrical ripple and noise lol not to just move the adapters
And I think it makes my 1650s look great
@fossil cedar
On a nice looking card yeah I can see it looking a little ugly, but it makes uglier looking cards look a bit cleaner.
not that the electrical ripples matter to the vrm on the card 😛
Tbh, I was able to push a little higher stable OC with it on there.
i mean, more clean is always good, but overkill anyway
So for $4.. worthittome
huh
I don't see how lol
Yup ^
Because the connectors connect into solid metal.
Two caps
I didn't know that though
EVGA says themselves the primary purpose has nothing to do with power filtering
It does make the power nicer but it really doesn't have any impact unless you have a really crappy power supply or really really crap power and no ups
They also discussed the power too
yeah, a couple caps means next to nothing to the card's vrm anyway
I guess.. I have an a tier psu and a ups, but it still allowed me to oc a little higher.
most of the time they do their job just fine
Not a lot.. but a bit
but they can make an ugly card a little more nicer in the looks department
cant deny that
It shouldn't affect oc
Lmao
your mind is playing with you by making you beleive they are doing something
in my EXPERIENCE
Placebo effect imo
nah
Justify the 4 dolluh!
imagine beign 4 dollars short of the next gpu upgrade
For 4 dollar it's good lol
damn
I don't need to decieve myself. when I'm crashing timespy at a +160 clock without it, but passing it with it on there..
then I don't see how that's placebo
That's the only only setting you changed?
dont mind it man xD it was only 4 bucks anyway and your card should look a bit awesome
Yeah the routing is nice
i saw it in the past and i thought... bulky thing on my power input... not my style
meh, I'm not to bent.. just don't like being told I'm justifying when actual experience vs what you guys read on internet is differing,
I'd happily buy another if I had an evga card. My own fault, but the single reason I'm not pleased with buying the PowerLink. Pretty sure it was only $5-6 for me also.
is this worth price dont these normally go for like 400 even only local monitor i could fine LOL
looks like the cheapest I can find for brand new is $290 with free shipping.. So if it's something you can get without having it shipped to you.. maybe not to bad a deal, but no warranty?
bestbuy has 329 and amazon is $500
Amazon is 379.99
Ordered new glasses yesterday and it says it's done being made and shipping soon.
34” 3440x1440 VA Display 144Hz Refresh Rate, 1ms (MPRT) Response Time Immersive Ultrawide Aspect Ratio 21:9 Native 1500R Curvature Smooth Gameplay with AMD FreeSync Premium Studio Grade VESA Display HDR400 and 90% DCI-P3 Ergonomic Design with Tilt and Height Adjustments Low Blue Light & Flicker-F...
oh theres 2 listings
well guy lives very close
should i just do 275
yea the amazon one i only saw 459 from google search
No warranty. Ask him if he can do a pixel test and whatnot on it while you are there to pick it up.
Or ask him if he is willing to do so before you go pick it up
ikr
that's sus

@frigid night im asking plus it could just be dirt
but i mean if it turns on it should be fine
@frigid night also give me BH linlk
If there is something wrong with it.. I'd rather grab the one for 290 that probably has a limited warranty
Shop Digital Cameras, 35MM Camera Equipment, Photography, Photo Printers, Computers, Home Theater, Authorized Dealer Canon, Sony, Nikon, Apple, Olympus, Panasonic, Kodak, JBL
there's definitely something wrong with that panel
two weird patterns that clearly isn't dirt
he says he can take video
That is not just glare
yeah I don't think that's glare bro
lol
no glare is that well patterned
Get a video of the monitor displaying something.
well theres many precontuons i can take
lol
i am im gunna try to get everything like @frigid night plus im gunna meet guy IRL so i can see it in person too
to me it almost looks like some sort of liquid got behind the screen somehow.. or he used some sort of chemical to clean it and it messed it up.
or maybe something spilled on it.
If it works and looks good.. cool... but for $15 more I'd just go with the BHphotovideo one
that way you get some sort of assurance.
because to me that's hecka sus
especially since he totally lied.
@frigid night im sending a video of my own monitor
I feel like its just dirty
@frigid night
like something spilled idk
Ever heard of cleaning?

looka fine when gaming
hahaahhahahahahaga
@frigid night i mean yes he can be sus or ehatever but if ut displays and theres no like display issues then thata just dirt on monitor that needs cleamed
but im also meeting IRL not like im havung it shipped so if i dont like what i see i can just walk awat with my money
I get it. Sometimes I overlook certain flaws just to get what I want RIGHT MEOW.
Most definitely
its to pixlated
sticks out like a sore thumb
I wanna buy same brand monitors just bc i like the design and it can fit on my desk
@frigid night yea im trying to get like cheap used monitor i paid $299 for my M27Q
meanwhile my laptop has a big ass square mark that's only visible on bright background
and an ant died inside of it
like bruh
BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
oh
it's so immersive to have a monitor that wraps around your field of vision
hopefully i can get this monitor
When I plug in my psu, with switch off!!! The motherboard led comes on. What should I do. I’m mid build
are you sure its not switch on
is the psu plugged in...?
Yes
then unplug it?
I’m trying to ground myself
Just unplugging the psu will tell you if it's got power or not
what happens if you flip the switch the other way
And what psu is it
Doing it once before/during build is good
Since you can have a crap ton of static built up
But the highest risk of esd is either building on carpet or peeling those little plastic protective peelies
Those make esd like crazy
i touch my pc without grounding myself

Lol
Even then you're probably fine unless you're rubbing your socks on the carpet to generate static on purpose
what are some good Security Cameras
SimpliSafe are decent, and don't route your video through Chinese servers last I checked
You'd be surprised how many do
That's one of the cheaper options too lol
At least out of the ones that aren't total crap
When I installed security systems we charged $600 per camera
sheeeeesh
It was financed usually
i was gunna get a camrea for our garage something keeps eating water and cat food
yeah indeed but I didnt mean like building on a table I meant like on the floor lol
You could move the water and cat food
I totally didn't build my 3k value computer on the carpet
no
removing techie rn
Could get a game cam
