Really but no DLSS ?
Does it matter?
With no RTX right?
Dlss is not a make or break
It has RT
And AMD has FSR and RSR instead of DLSS
You only lose the nvenc encoder for streaming
Amd 6000 ray tracing is comparable to rtx20 series stuff
So it's not horrible horrible
But I might also mention
I have monitor that has G-sync
So maybe it’s better to go with nvidia?
@scarlet lotus you have a 1080p or 1440p monitor ?
1440p
Modern gsync is jsut rebranded freesync
With 165hz g-sync
So just upgrade ram and psu and buy a good aircooled gpu
😆Oo
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/CqNxFT/gainward-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-12-gb-phoenix-video-card-ned308t019kb-132ax
@potent portal told me this so I’ll go with this I guess?
It should fit I believe?
The front AIO in the small case reduces how long the GPU can be
240 aio would be fine for a 5800X anyway
Depends on the aio
And how much you're ocing
240 liquid freezer with a 5800x on stock will be fine
I'd personally go 280mm liquid freezer for anything over 5700x
Ehhhhh
Only at stock
Fal how hot is the 5700x?
320mm~ is max for a gpu in there and you'd need slim fans on the front to make it fit
It's a 65W so about as hot as the 5600X
As in a cheapish heatsink
Totally, even with OC on something like the frost spirit 140
Not dark rock 4 pro
Sick
Another reason for me to go for it imo
Means I won't need to buy an aio
My PC just blue screened saying kernel node corruption or something like that
This one ? No ?
Don't corrupt your pop corn next time
Aside from that, sfc/scannow imo
Not completely sure what the error is but can't hurt to run it
Yeah this is the case
Btw I just checked again
Its 395 mm max
My gtx 1080 fits
Ahh Nevermind, searched it up and it’s because of a memory leak
The case itself is 395mm, with 300mm max gpu
It has some what room left
love you Tarkov
Ah
Or just sell your old case
Depends on the model
And buy new high end case
This one
At this point😆
There's a Phoenix 3080 ti?
Maybe
Gross
😆it looks really ugly tbh
Tuf 3080 ti would fit too
Do u guys have better 😆🤣
Link
The liquid cooler on the front reduces this
Oh didn't see they had one
The same page you linked
Won't fit then
Dem😕
So really you'd be better off with a 240 on top or an air cooler/different case altogether
Could the aio be switched to top mount?
Why the gpu is 294 mm
Sadly no
Only two fans can go on top
Aio front mount reduces the space for the gpu
This is 3 fan aio
Here's the models that will fit https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=505,498&L=69000000,281000000&sort=price

System Builder - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow ATX Mid Tower
This doesn't answer my question
Do you already have the aio
You could wait for AMD to restock their reference model, they do every thursday at 9 CST
The absolute max space across without fans is like 335mm in the case if I remember me trying it all those months ago
Oo sorry, no I only have on AIO for the cpu
You'd get it for around 850-900 pounds with international shipping
And yes it's plenty short enough
267mm
Reason: Bad word usage
Ooops
Much better off going AMD
Idk couldn’t curse Xd
Reason: Bad word usage
Reason: Too many infractions
rip
To answer the deleted question though lol, GPUs keep getting bigger because moore's law no longer applies
Moore's law has to do with things getting smaller as they get more powerful
But we're basically at the physical limit of science, it can't get smaller
All my current fans are Corsair anyways
Yeah I was eyeing this one as well
👍 thanks a lot guys I made a list of the stuff
Happy to help

Can I got for this?
Because I need to change cases now
Need to spend the money on that now
The 5800X is one of the hottest CPUs in existence, higher hotspot temps than the 5950X
Okey
Only the 12700k and 12900k are hotter
how hot is the 12900k comparatively?
nvm
Depends on the load but an all core load like cinebench you'll be melting with air cooling
You think this is good option @potent portal
Yeah 12900K/KS is pretty much the "hottest" afaik.
It's lower tier than the 3080 ti/6900XT and 320mm, but saves you a little money. Up to you.
Yeah it’s is but, I will need to change cases so will have to divert some of the money spent to change of cases
True. And it's really not that much less powerful than 3080 ti.
Yeah that’s why I wanted to change it. But I wanted confirm it with you. If you think this is good 3080 to go with
In that case save even more money and go for this https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/MXYmP6/msi-geforce-rtx-3080-lhr-10-gb-gaming-z-trio-video-card-rtx-3080-gaming-z-trio-10g-lhr
One of the better MSI models
Has a good stock overclock and everything
It’s the same price with the other one, on Amazon. My company wants me to prefer to use one seller. Less work for me too
In that case still go with the MSI

Fully modular better?
id look for rmx instead of rm, leadex III, d.f
i thought the x was before the wattage for the A tier one
I just wanted to ask for better cable management
Nope, it's more accurate to call it RM-x
ahh
Also I found this

I can go for this actually
Should I?
Semi modular only means the CPU and motherboard cables are permanent. The others are added in. Cable management is the same.
The only reason to go full modular is if you wanted to replace with custom cables, which corsair does have
thats an... interesting review
Power supply’s come with cables right?
I just ask because my old power supply is not modular at all
And I hate it
Never bought modular one before so just wondered if I hate to buy cables as well😆
nope
What about this Fal’Cie
Yeah I think I would like to have some nice cables later on
You can get extensions no matter what psu you have, but custom cables are different. Most people want extensions.
That's almost 1600 pounds
1429£ actually Xd
Where do you see 1429? Refresh your page
Refresh, I think that sold out of that price. It's only third party scalpers that have it.
Ugh gonna make me sign into facebook
Still not worth that price
hold up theres a ton of 1060 6gb for this price
i guess i havent been keeping up with prices
That's still way higher than the price should be for 3080 ti
This one?

Consider that the msrp for the 3080 ti is 924 pounds
Being generous, 100-200 pound over that is the max I'd pay
Anyone know anything about the Apevia Prodigy case?
No, but do you have a more specific question that we can answer concerning that case
I just finished the build and the colors just keep rotating I can't get solid color I need
ill see if i can find some answers 👍🏻
Thanks I keep trying things but I am now just irritated lol
Did you make sure that you connected at least one male connector from a fan is in the LEDSW connector from the front panel
and the fan or fan cable labeled "isolated interface" should be plugged DIRECTLY into the power supply
Just curious, how much do people typically spend on their whole setup?
ranges from sub 1k to like 10k
or even more
its entirely dependent on your budget
Now I feel weak for buying a $20 mouse
@little osprey button on top
i spent around 5k(cad) could be more on my set up
SW most definitely stands for switch in this context
pressing it doesn't cycle effects?
@left urchin that build is the worst ive seen in a while
u can do a LOT better in the same budget
Lol i figured but im new to this so yee
I've never built a pc b4
DO NOT buy that crap
Anything under $1,400
That build is 1,200 but the monitors like 500 and yea
Thanks man
As long as i have a i7 and 32GB ram im good
i7 is like the lowest i wanna go
12700k is a good deal rn so that works good
so you stream and edit and stuff?
Yuh
Closest ones like nearly 2hrs away lol
oof okay
Yea lol I'm more of a mechanic but ive always wanted to build a gaming pc too
Without
cool
I have a tv rn lol

With monitor
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower
Bet man thanks
way too spendy of psu
cooler may also be inconsistent but who knows tbh
and case is way too spendy
$110 for a p400a aint worth imo
and also amd direct has 6700xt for $480 on drops, theyre fairly easy to get
not really
it comes with all the fans u need
isnt
ehhhh
$110 for a 750w is kinda overpriced
coldplate could be convex or flat, who knows
dw about it lol\
at least the lga1700 bracket included is metal instead of plastic
like the se has
tbf you could just throw a 214xt on the 12400f and save a bunch of money
itll easily handle it
if you get a flat coldplate, not much
also instead of arguing and pointing mistakes every time u can be helpful for once and provide alternatives
if u cant, dont bother helping
i just did
214xt
its $20 on amazon and great for the price
and the peerless assassin is 20$ more and far superior
it can also do a 12600k just fine
its over double the price
20$
for something theyll prolly never use
pcpp being dumb again smh
it doesnt even have 214xt listed as compatible cooler
if u think u can do better ur free to but i stand by that list maybe except the psu
that could be cheaper
ill take my own spin on it ig
and next time dont waste urs or my time pointing out what u think are flaws but really arent
either make changes and provide ur own alternative to the list
or dont say anything
thanks
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
thats my spin on it
could prolly find better value psu
but i just found one i knew was good
prolly another cheaper b tier or somethin
Could alter it a bit aswell if I knew exactly what he wanted with the PC
But I just added igp cause why not for 10 bucks, it'll help him a bit with streaming or whatevs
igpu good call
12400 didnt show up for me for some reason lol
Idk how serious of a streamer he is
Lol yeah pcpp needs to fix their site
will help with primere pro either way
The lga1700 cooler thing is so annoying
quick sync
Ye
If he's a really serious content creator could probs squeeze a 12700k in there maybe?
It'd be tight ig cause it'd need better cooler than 214xt
Hmm
If he's a serious content creator may be worth going Nvidia too
True
But b660 won't support raptor right?
So it's EOL after 12th gen?
ok
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower
there
Wait wtf
Did mp33 just go up 5 bucks in price since I may my list?
Lmao, that's quick.
Whatever, still decent price
List looks good
The GPU is basically guaranteed to be gotten within 3 weeks if you actually go to the drops at the right time
Hello. Does anyone know if the ASUS X570-P motherboard needs some bios update for it to run the Ryzen 5 5600G APU? I bought the motherboard 2 years ago.
If you haven't updated it in the last year, it'll need updated?
It also depends what bios version you updated it with if you did update it
You need bios version 3001 from December 2020 at a minimum
The good news is you don't need a stepping version, you can just jump straight to the latest or whichever one you choose
Oof someone was having severe overheating issues and asked if I could see what was wrong and this is the first thing I see
A 3700X and a 2070 in a h510 with a 120mm aio
And they asked what thermal paste was
first thing i saw was ketchup and mustard
I honestly prefer performance over aesthetics
So they currently got a 4000D airflow and a LF2 280mm on the way and I gave them a full tube of arctic mx 5 thermal paste
second cable?
That's fine if it's probably a 2060, but of course not recommended.
2070
It's been fine though for a while I figure.
Instead of calling me or giving me a text to my phone he got ahold of me by getting me on vrchat and he crashed immediately when he told me he was having PC issues badly and didn't know what to do
honestly I'm willing to bet that overheating issues would have been solved by removing the two front fans, running the aio in push pull as top exhaust, and putting one of the front fans as rear exhaust
and making sure there's thermal paste on the cpu
the h510 is designed to run a negative pressure setup
it obviously still wouldn't have been an optimal setup because, well it's an h510, but it would've cost 5 bucks max
h510's problem is primarily with cpu temps, and a 3700x is not a difficult cpu to cool
leadex iii 750 is down to $75
also it doesnt show up on pcp but segotep gp 700w is $55 on amazon which is nice
Why 12400 z690??
yeah id do 12600k b660
for that much of a diff in cpu its worth having less upgradability
why is pcp not showing 12th gen cpus lmao
id also go for 3060 ti instead, considering theyre streaming
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jr3C6r id go for this and try for a 3060 ti or 3070
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower
Wasnt recommend was just showung ryan is possible
Pogr
Huh why wouldn't it be possible lol
aight lol
System Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
What’s a good gpu for this build v
?*
LF2 360 seems like a bit of an overkill cooler on a 5600X
Can you put me together a build?
I already got that board
is that everything?
That’s all I have atm
what's your budget for the rest of the build
including gpu
also what is this flash drive for? lol
My budget excluding the parts I already have is 800
okay cool
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pVYrDq so here's a $300 basis for your build, with the remaining $500 you can easily buy a 3060/6600XT, should be able to get a 3060Ti/6700XT
System Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower
that psu is B- tier, will be able to handle the 3060Ti/6700XT no problems
kept the same number of rgb fans
Will it all run good together?
Ok my ba
Segotep gp 700w is 55 on amazon rn, for some reason it doesn't show on pcp
Not a huge diff anyways
is it the B tier version or the C- tier version?
from what i can tell its b tier, but i could be wrong
700w gp is b tier
Is pretty much the only reason to not actually get ballistix now is that in the near future getting a warranty/replacement from Crucial would be.... interesting?
nahh ram hardly ever just dies
@earnest olive sips help me out man, I need your wisdom
I wanted a second opinion on why my 12900KS is consuming 328W at 1.3v, when my 12900K non-S was consuming 292 watts at the same voltage
True, perhaps Crucial will have some stock for a while or worst case would give a similar kit. Only was a short though because I bought from Ebay.
Probably just 12900ks pulling more amps
could be a leakier chip
@fossil cedar is that good or bad?
leakier chips are usually able to clock higher I believe (as long as you can cool them)
oh okay, so im guessing that means that this 12900KS is most likely better bin than my 12900k from before?
most likely
you'd certainly hope so
unless you got a godly 12900k
have you tried pushing it yet?
if you have an asus board SP rating is easy way of "binning" chips
Unlikely since Intel started binning the 12900k for the S sku
yeah, with AVX enabled they both crash at 5.4 on real bench
unlikely but possible
I got my 12900K in November
True, if it's an early sample it's more likely
so in my case its a bit more complicated
Yeah I stuck with MSI this gen
SP values are different between 12900K and 12900KS
Pro a?
you can't directly compare them
this is also true
at least from what i heard from buildzoid
SP values are an interpretation of the V/F curve
and the 12900KS has a different curve
MPG EDGE WIFI DDR4
Yeah, missing the post code and cmos reset button from my b550 board tho lol
oh hell no
godlike good value now :)
Picking one up for my 12100f rn
yeah at that price point id probably just look exclusively at the EVGA boards
Ye
man
I hope I dont end up selling my 12900K and finding out later that i threw away the better chip
i tried lol, they both crashed at 5.3 ghz all core 1.3v
on prime 95
and the both stabled 5.2 all core and 1.3v
Typically slightly less so on Intel than AMD
see now theres an intersting thing behind that
So much power, so much heat
alder lake did take also off avx 512
I saw a custom looped i3-10100 once
Bruh 😭
wanted to slap the dude fr
sounds like a hwbot guy
the 12900k kept the clocks at 5.2 P and 4.0 E throughout the whole p95 EVEN THOUGH it had a red Yes in the thermal throttling detector
A lf2 420 with 6 Push and Pull fans
Washer modded?
looks like someone wanted to sell their build but keep their cpu&gpu lol
yes
You're almost at ln2 point
maybe
@fossil cedar @stoic island @earnest olive
And/or a "hws" guy, ya. 🤣
my 12900ks data during P95
fun
Jeez that 12900k(s) is hot.
Yeah this one is the KS
Thats why i was so confused
the power draw is way higher than my K at the same voltage
its still enable-able in my boards bios
or well
at least "AVX-Support" is
They removed the option a few months back iirc
They're also adding in the kill switch for that which will fuse off the AVX512 hardware if you try to use it
true i forgot about that
smh bad teckie
if you can't get the 12900KS past 5.2 all core
try running it stock and see if you can undervolt at all
isn't 5.2 all core the stock speed?
with single core boosts up to 5.5?
Yes I think so
so it seems a bit pointless to do 5.2 all core manual
sounds about right... got an arcitc 360 on it?
see how much voltage it wants to draw at stock
and then see if you can undervolt
if neither chip wants to do 5.3 maybe the goal is to see how efficient you can get 5.2 on each
420
With 6 fans in a push pull
ahh nice
So he basically turned a lf2 into a ek elite
lol so many names for turbo
So basically yes*
check effective clocks/power draw?
P95 is an unrealistic test, maybe do cinebench loop instead?
Oh you’re right
Man this is weird
Why is the power draw and effected clocks so much lower
Might just be doing the max single core boost thing or something
did you accidentally set it to run on one thread instead of all
48W where? Package?
Smallfft w avx on?
Yeah
Yes
That's gotta be bugged
what are the effective clocks
I’ll screenshot
it says average effective clock 545.9mhz
there's the problem lol
10.7% cpu usage
...
click the arrow to expand effective clocks
and there you go
so why are they so different?
what is going on here?
check the prime95 window
i restarted p95
what if you did what I asked instead of pinging me so much with screenshots that were not what I asked for
I'm trying to hurry this up dude, I checked the prime95 window and it wasnt responding so i restarted it
that screnshot is the new results from it actually running correctly
If ur in a hurry dont overclok
Use stock
Overclocking takes time
Thats not really applicable to this, considering the initial problem has been fixed
something was wrong with p95 and now its working correctly with the expected power draw, albeit showing bad yet expected effective clocks
I fixed the problem myself, so I moved back to the original issue at hand
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ if i put in a reg 3060 would it bottleneck?
System Builder
would i have to go up to a 12400?
yeah oops
System Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
That power supply is a bomb
Literally
Besides that you'd be fine to put a 3060 in there
rly?
Yeah fine list other than psu
okie
I'd do this power supply instead, B tier instead of F https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VGc48d/cooler-master-masterwatt-650w-80-bronze-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-mpx-6501-amaab-us
k ty
btw I think that's tier C?
It's either low B or C, their model naming kinda sucks
Looks like it's the same thing as masterwatt tuf
Either way good enough for a 12100 + 3060
very little data
But is it modular?
No
I just don't like what seems to be an old psu without much data
XPG Pylon 650w for 60$ also works, also tier c, but at least we know what it is
cwt csb-a
Asus tuf 650 should be $60
Could get the old standby CX-M for $5 more then
Hi
Would not reccomend a cxm
No, that's a 6 year old computer with no GPU
No
not gonna be a fun experience
ok lol
unless you like slideshows
oh
Maybe 10 fps at 720p if you're lucky
good to know

Not modular
But it's a b tier unit and decent price
The 550w version is $10 cheaper too
Which would be fine for a 3060
Yes but not a good price
oh well I have it rn
I mean it'll perform great it's just a little more than I'd wanna pay for it
there was a bad part to this system though
Case?
CPU cooler?
the cooler is lacking
case is acceptable
ran at 100+
Case is aight
Celsius
no way
is that good or bad
acceptable
wait fr?
I didnt even need a rma
Oh then that's a nice deal
i was gonna say its not priced nice but if you got it for free
ya
I was able to convince them to make an acceptation on the rma
after I went through a few support agents
noice
yes
lol
anyone have a good keyboard and mouse and mouse pad. just wireless or a wireless and plug in option
You could get something simple and cheaper like the G Pro Superlight mouse
Or go high end $200 mouse
could you help me find a cheaper and high end one
Keyboards aren't my area so no comments on those from me
G502 is decent enough
And when it breaks (it will) their warranty process is good enough
it will break???
Eventually, after so many clicks, the switches for the buttons loosen and it starts double clicking when you click, and you can't drag
is it cheap or is that normal
I play MMOs with lots of clicks so I killed mine in 9 months lol
lol
That's normal for Logitech
Other brands use other switches
It's not great quality sound. The build quality is fine, if a little hot on the ears.
And if you wear glasses it's definitely not for you
whats a good gaming headset
I would want one where you can pull the mic down and stuff and with rgb
ok
k
Yeah that one is a good entry level headset
k
i liked my hyper x until the clip on the 7.1 box thing broke
ya
you could grab a keychron board
Should i get a 3050 or 3040
Considering one exists and the other doesn't...
On what case?
Corsair Master box 500
There's not meant to be a fan there. The grille is just in case you decide to flip the power supply so it's fan up.
I know the customer wants it. I tried to explain otherwise
Same at the top
Well if they must have a fan there doing nothing then you would have the power supply facing down and the fan blowing upwards towards the GPU
Power Supply fan toward the bottom facing the vent and the fans facing toward the gpu?
Yes, so the psu pulls cool air straight from the bottom vent and the fan above doesn't interfere
You probably want to set it to minimum speed on that fan too lol
Since it's not really doing anything anyway
They make RGB strips for that 🤦♂️
Lol I think he had bought all the fans on a deal and did not want to spend money on strip to
That would almost make sense at least
Well, the customer is always right. Even when they're wrong.
Bruh my friend told me to go with a 3040 y ppl gotta mess with me lol
Ion trust anyone no mo 😂
I showed him my build and he said nah dont get a 3050 go with the one before it its a 3040
And to go with a i7 with a K in it bc it can be overclocked
for a gaming build thats horrible horrible advice lol
a i7 k series with a less than 3050?
The slot? It's a PCI-e slot, most people put a GPU there
Hold up what’re you getting?
Thats what i was sayin
the heatsink thing?
I got a i7 k series idk
I can make a list for you if you would like some extra input
its a heatsink you can put a m.2 drive under
it basically removes heat off the drive
Not slit
so itll run cooler
Around 1,300 to 1,500
No not yet i canceled it bc everyone was sayin it was a bad build
USD?
do you prefer rgb
Eh don't matter but would be nice
3060ti is a little overpriced
but any 3060ti will do (i'd stay away from the ventus tho)
msi b660m a is a better board for same price
oh is it
plus is he wants wifi, the wifi version is like $10 more
yea
pro 660m a
not the prime
asus and msi literally named their boards the same thing, its dumb
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
could always upgrade him to a evga 3070ti too since its in budget
At stock yeah
ye
Not worth it, you'd have to get better cooler then too
not better than a lf2 280
you could just throw a ak620 on it if you run it at stock
I didn't look at the list I thought the scythe was on it lol
o lol yea
i mean is the ak620 fine for 12600k
idk anything about higher cpu wattage air coolers
The wattage rating is irrelevant because everyone measures it differently
12600k could just do pa120 for stock
higher power usage * ?
does it have a bracket
yea
like in-box? or you have to buy separate
in box
No cooler can guarantee it has the 1700 bracket yet
Because retailers could have old stock
i mean you can just contact them and ask them to send you one anyways
shouldnt be much of a hassle
Yeah it's just a little extra hassle
well yes but its to be expected since 12th gen is fairly new
and the cooler is not new
anyways are the 3600mhz cl16 ripjaws any good
theyre alright
i've been avoiding adding them for no apparent reason and adding the g.skill trident z instead
prolly cjr
they should run at rated with no issues
worse case scenario is prolly c die with them
but whatever
yeah this 3070ti wont fit the budget sadly
3600 c16 would be really hard to do with c-die though
im still $70 over
custom price at $720?
Oops, forgot to do that part
maybe, but ive seen some rip5 kits rated for 3600cl16 running with cdie
its possible, but theyll barely hit it
Must be top bin c-die dang
they prolly only use the good stuff
yeah
im guessing the non top bin stuff goes in to the 3200cl16 rip5 kits
My 3200 c16 c-die kit could do 3600 c18 with a lot of tweaking
this is quite a stretch to fit 12600k and 3070ti
Multiple things I'd change on this
they need to save $500 for monitors
One sec
im changing things rn btw
Could move down to 12400 and not lose much gaming perf
i mean yeah..
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s3xGLs this is like hovering on the edge of skimping out on parts
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
And can change gpu as desired
Changed ram, cooler, psu, and ssd
12400 list would just be changing that to peerless assassin, 12400, and gpu to 3070 or 3080 at msrp if the gpu gods favor this person
Or 6800xt
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, Cooler Master MasterBox NR600 (w/o ODD) ATX Mid Tower
heres a 12400 list
In that case towards the mobo
to the mobo cos no hole away
I'd do the 32gb silicon power kit for 105
Aight
they planning to stream?
Unless you have a dremel to cut a hole
No, but its a cheap 32gb kit and worth it
Leadex iii 750 is at $75 rn
I'd go for that instead
System Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
low pri b tier?
A tier
3tb storage and 3070ti
its not
It is
It's the leadex iii?
its a super pro bronze
this one right?
Looks like antecs the better choice then
Next best is 700w segotep gp for $60
But it's dropping a tier and not worth it if the wattage isn't needed
Im really set on at least a i7
Model is more important
12400 is enough for even a 3090 ti
but that also only has one pcie cable split into two 6+2's right?
i7 doesnt mean anything, really
Well brand dont matter to me as long as its the same power as a i7
Really? Gross
i think you're misunderstanding it
this is on neweggs site for the 700
12400 is enough for a 3090, as I said
I am probably lol
If doing at least 1440p, which considering they plan on a $500 monitor I'd hope it's at least that
i7 10th gen is worse than i7 12th gen.
Im like extreamly new to this so yee
Antecs the one to go for then
psu deals are kinda sad now
Mm
My buddy with an alienware has a i7 and he can overclock it he says dont get anything less than a i7
if you're comparing the same generation of intel CPUs, then you can say that i7 is better than i5 but it is STRONGLY suggested to use full SKUs like 10700f and 12700f.
D.f 850 was at $90 for a while
hold on maybe antec has the same thing going on
Your buddy doesn't sound like the smartest fella
Lol idk
There's i5s that can oc
And ocing doesn't really matter that much, especially for casual users
His setup is pretty cool
bad mentality because the 12400f is a powerhouse for gaming compared to the last generations. If they prefer to always get an i7 thats fine but theres more to it.
hes capping
12600k will cost you $270, which will leave less room for a better gpu
oven
first, alienwares overheat at stock lol
you could get so much more fps and gaming power staying with an i5 over an i7 by spending more on the gpu
also, wasnt aware alienware boards supported cpu overclocking
He gets around 280fps on apex ive played it a few times
Meanwhile 12400f costs 180, can't oc and has less cores but is still PLENTY for a 3070 ti
Facts
Apex isn't an intensive game
btw alienware pc
never looked in the bios of one, but if the chipset is a z series, itll support it if they didnt lock it down
Ik but thats all i play aside from minecraft and maybe gta
If you really care that much
my h370 board is laughing
Get a 12600k. It can oc and has 6 p cores + 4 e cores
paired with 300w psu
But it's really not the best idea for you
hard value tho
12700k is only $50 more than 12600k rn
Oh is it?
yea
That's hot
$325 12700k
so even if he doesnt need 8 p cores, its a hard bargain to go 12600k rn
btw what monitor is pairing with this
no clue
they didnt say
also quick question, how does ram work if different speed/spec ram are mixed together
runs at the slower speed, if at all
and theres a potential that they wont even work then i assume
