look at 10400f vs 5600g
it isnt a hugely noticable difference
and if youre deadset on cpu perf, get a 12400f instead on the 12100f build
which is a good deal better than 5600g
and if you dont feel like buying a used gpu, for the price this isnt the worst ive seen https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Mc7G3C/sapphire-radeon-rx-6500-xt-4-gb-pulse-video-card-11314-01-20g
I found an rx6500 on newegg for about that price already. I was going to go with NVidia, but this one has close to the spec I want, and its a little cheaper than the NVidia card
this is the cheapest 6500xt that is currently in stock
anywhere
So... basically these two...
Instead of...
https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-5-5600g-ryzen-5-5000-g-series/p/N82E16819113683?Item=N82E16819113683
And whatever mobo is compatible with that?
i would get the whole parts list i linked, its a solid list thats well built, let me double check some prices tho
I think the one I found is new, and is only like $30 more... >_>
the one i linked is new...
Thought you said it was used
im uncertain on the heatsink
admittedly the case is a bit ugly, but it has great airflow
the i5-12400 on newegg comes with a heatsink already
not a good one
hmm... micro ATX... I was going to go with full ATX, so it's easier to maneuver things around... I think I might actually have a couple of cases that are microAtx compatible... he also wants to do RGB stuff though... because he's 12, and likes shiny things... 😄
id suggest p360a digital if it wasnt a tight budget
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FP3mP6/phanteks-eclipse-p400a-digital-atx-mid-tower-case-ph-ec400atg_dwt if you want to spend the money on it
we already picked out this guy: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811353213?Item=N82E16811353213
that case is a bit of a heater
as long as you get a decent heatsink for the cpu itll be fine though
but if you try to upgrade in the same case it might bite you in the ass later on
i guess it's ok
only reason we wouldn't use the ones we already have is they are tiny, and don't have any glass (so RGB would be useless)
rgb is purely optional tbh
Its true
but fair
to be clear... I'm not 12... my kid is 12... =p
if they have their mind set on something its set
LED's make everything better when you are 12... =p
Its like racing stripes... each one adds 5hp
I know a guy selling one, dm me
Looks like this is the ATX version of that board?
https://www.newegg.com/p/13-119-543
Its a little bit more, but I think it'll make it easier to assemble to get an ATX rather than a microATX
i would avoid buying some cheapo board from a 3rd party seller when you can get a z690 for $180
Oh I guess that's oos from newegg - but here https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=50001315 100007627 601394305&Manufactory=1315&Order=1&SrchInDesc=z690
I think I found most of the things on that list using the PCBuilder on newegg... except for the CPU cooler...
Still over $900 for the whole build... -_-
Does a cooler have to match your motherboard, I was having a hard time fitting my cooler to the back of my motherboard
depending on the compatibility. the cooler should say what platforms its compatible with. if youre on a newer z690 board, you might have to buy an adapter depending on the cooler you bought
^
Oh ok, I'll make sure to check
The only one that actually shows up for me with all the selections I made on newegg is this one: https://www.newegg.com/noctua-nh-c14s/p/N82E16835608073?Item=9SIA2F8H3B0432
wuh?
that's weird
that cooler is for low profile stuff, and it's pretty expensive
Yup... thinking I might just stick with the one that comes in the box if those are the only two choices... >_>
well
you don't have to get pc builder lol
just browse newegg and add stuff to cart
it's gonna end up being manually assembled anyway
newegg pc builder is very limited in choices
So this cooler should be compatible wit this cpu then?
Check this out on @Newegg: NZXT Kraken Z Series Z73 360mm - RL-KRZ73-01 - AIO RGB CPU Liquid Cooler - Customizable LCD Display - Improved Pump - Powered by CAM V4 - RGB Connector - Aer P 120mm Radiator Fans LGA 1700 Compatible https://www.newegg.com/nzxt-liquid-cooling-system-kraken-z/p/N82E16835146070?Item=N82E16835146070&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-35-146-070-_-03082022
Check this out on @Newegg: AMD Ryzen 7 3rd Gen - RYZEN 7 3700X Matisse (Zen 2) 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.4 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000071BOX Desktop Processor https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-7-3700x/p/N82E16819113567?Item=9SIAWKTDTA6023&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIAWKTDTA6023-_-03082022
I was confused cause the other coolers say am4, but this one says a whole bunch of stuff and then am4, it confused me
its compatible, there should be a bracket inside the box somewhere for you to put onto the cooler for amd
OK, I'll order it then. Appreciate you telling me this info, still figuring this building stuff out
did you alreadt buy the cpu?
I'll try a different cpu another time, I've had this one for a while
ahh
Yah, the pcbuilder tool just makes it easier to find compatible parts... seems like its not always that accurate though, which makes things... difficult... -_-
looks like its maybe this one I want then?
https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-rr-212s-20pc-r2/p/N82E16835103329
yo is this good ? someone sent me this. its less expensive https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/dzXMZw
I'd get a b660 instead of h610 but otherwise looks fine
The msi pro b660-a is a good model for decent price
"It's a 6900xt
A top-of-the-line GPU
with a budget cpu" "Your CPU will bottleneck im willing to bet"
someone said this to the build i sent
is it true
12400 can keep up with a 6900XT just fine
Its performance is more comparable to a mid-tier older cpu like the 11600 or 5600X
from a single core perspective it blows the 11600k out of the water tho
I'm having trouble installing windows on a new pc
i keep getting this message reboot and select proper boot device
I got that on mine too
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/gpJBbK thoughts ?
Even if that was usd that would be a good price for a 6800XT
Probably want a better power supply and memory
650 would be enough
3200 16 also seems fine, but yeah, could go for something faster
oh wait thats the 2018 rmx
the 2019 was a really good one i think
The 2018 was still A tier but not GOLD
Yeah that's feeling like a 750W for safety
6800xt at like 320w peak, 12600k was like what, 180w peak?
yeesh 223w
still under 650 tho, plus considering its a decent psu to begin with
So that’s like 543w total so yeah I guess 650w would work
nothin wrong with more tho
6800XT isn't as spiky as 3080 but still spikes
I’m just annoyed with my 6800xt because one of 8 pin LEDs is burned out somehow
I wonder if I could get it replaced through microcenter
Probably not unless you're within return window. They'll tell you to RMA it otherwise.
I do have a warranty on it with them but I’m not sure if that’s considered damaged enough to warrant a replacement
I'd ask them then
Just a few edits https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/bwfV6r
You could probably get away with 750W if you really need to cut some more budget
If you go that route I'd do this https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/79tQzy/corsair-rmx-2018-750w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020179-na

do i need to put a b660 instead of what i had originally
H610 will cut your CPU and memory performance
not for 12100-12400f
but of course even 12400f could potentially struggle, but if youre on a budget ur using stock cooler so
i have a stock cooler ?
The 12400 comes with one
oh ok
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/jd7MZw this good now ?
also someone said intel 660p instead NVME ? is that a good idea
If it's cheaper sure
That looks ok to me
The A2000 is solidly in the "Gaming" tier of SSD
So from everything u see on that llist everything is good to go ?
its 1k under budget so if u think theres something a little better...
Yes it would be a pretty decent computer
You could save a few dollars on the power supply by doing one of the ones I recommended
will i be able to run games at high FPS / graphics on 1440p ?
Absolutely
cool beans lets go
If anything I'd spend some more on the case but I'm guessing you picked it for looks
someone picked it out for me
idc about looks
theyre better in what way ?
Better airflow, which will keep that hot gpu running cooler and performing its best
ok do u think u can change it to one of the ones you proposed ? this my build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/cPBFtn
Oh you added a monitor, one sec
yeah
perfect
I'd get a M27Q over that monitor personally, it's cheaper too
is it ips ?
can u link ?
do u calibrate your monitors ?
I don't have a professional tool for it but I do adjust the colors and such to my liking
thanks for everything bro
The Gigabyte M27Q is a bit better than the LG 27GL850-B for most uses. Although they have similar response times, the Gigabyte has a higher refresh rate of 170Hz compared to the LG's 144Hz, resulting in a slightly smoother and more responsive gaming experience. Also, the Gigabyte's input lag is much lower at 60Hz than the LG's, making it more id...
Happy to help
final thing which motherboard do u think is best the one u proposed or this one @potent portal https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Z6ddnQ/gigabyte-b660m-ds3h-ddr4-micro-atx-lga1700-motherboard-b660m-ds3h-ddr4
Technically the one I suggested, the MSI pro B660-a micro, is better and will support a cpu upgrade later. With the 12400, that DS3H is perfectly acceptable, and probably fine with a 12600 if you wanted to upgrade to that later.
could u change it KEKW
I've seen testing of the msi board with a 12900k, and it stood up to the power requirement nicely
Anyway I'm off for the night, good luck
thanks bro
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/yVjvnt what do u guys think ?
no prices for anything
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/jz2jyK this good ?
finally lol
whats ur budget?
3k CAD
did u just change CPU and CPU cooler ?
Why KF on B660?
e cores
wait
i forgor
12700 has e cores
12600 doesnt
💀
go that cpu cooler and stick with the 12700
can u redo it ? @frank stirrup
tyyyy
12700 doesn't have a non-K/KF model.
does
Incase of wanting z690
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZYy8Y9
Might be able to also get Ninja5 and replace fans with a P12 pack
I stand corrected. could save almost $40 not doing the KF. Actually I partly was of thinking of the plain non-K/KF 12600 not having Ecores. Obviously a bit pointless when the full 12600K would be $230 right now.
(disregard for 12700 shoppers)
I legit already did them a list
And they keep asking
This board more spensiv than z690 ;-;
@spare socket
Something you can actually buy rn
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/hhY29r
Tbh i thought u chose that board which is why it was in that list

finished the buikd, decided to wait for the better video card
posted pic in pic channel
this system is super quiet
thanks everyone pato rawr etc... for the help and advice
You're welcome
Glad we could help
Guys, what is better for gaming, specifically GTA V in 4K. 32GB (8GBx4) DDR4/3200MHz or, 16 GB (16GBx1) DDR5/4800MHz?(with plans to buy a second 16x1 DDR5 stick)
Never only buy 1 stick, and ddr5 isn't worth it just get a 2x16gb kit of 3200mh cl16 or 3600mhz cl16 for a nicer kit
Why isn’t DDR5 with it yet, oh glorious Pato?
Overpriced and not as good as good ddr4, like 3600mhz cl16
I see! Are you basically saying that most other computer components are not efficient enough to handle the raw power of ddr5?
Nope, ddr5 isn't good enough yet and it's overpriced
I see, I see
Is there any other ddr4 more powerful than ddr4 3600mhz CL16?
Uh yeah usually more expensive and/or meant for overclocking
What would you recommend?
I’m doing my first RAM upgrade today
The pc I made a while ago is boomin’
What's the rest of your pc?
So I had a build fall through and I am left with some parts. Any build recomendations so I can use these and make a little money?
Can't just return them?
Especially the cooler
Time to go hunting for a GPU
no unfortunately
So my issue with GPU hunting is I have no idea what im doing or looking for as I almost never buy anything used
I found a 1070 turbo on Jawa for 265?
the cooler honestly if its not used its not used
Jawa?
I mean can you return anything? Might be worth just returning
Uhh what country is that for?
I've never heard of it
US
the NVME was a deal and the PSU
check it out

@fossil cedarhttps://pcpartpicker.com/list/nhzHhk
Right well what's your budget for doing it up then?
I can through $500 at it
If its possible to do it from the same site great if not I get it lol
I'd probs do this
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8kNBbK
Decent profit margin?
Uhhhhh maybe
Case is bad, 5700g is bad value
oh ok
How much better is the 5700g?
It isn't
Its the same cpu, just two more cores (essentially, the other differences are just so minute it's really hard to tell)
The igpu is very similar, the single core is very similar
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/jr2jyK any thoughts ?
We've given you about 15 lists at this point and every time have told you the same thing. I'm sorry but what we've said isn't going to change
And each time they're near identical
adding a gpu down the line, would the differences be more substantial?
Is there any way I could get help with my build
I think I’m doing everything right but nothing happens when I try to power it on. All I hear is a click from the psi and then nothing
Not really, not for gaming
The single core performance is very similar
5600x or 12400 is going to slap a 5700g
get a 12600K if you want to keep up performance after upgrading to a dgpu
AMD sacrifices half their cache on the APUs
intel does no such thing
5700g might have slightly better igpu but you'll be surprised how capable the UHD 770 is with tuned ddr4 and overclocking
What's that build look like for $500 lol
i was going to go down to a 5600
12600K has a lower retail than 5700g, although the mobo will be more expensive
Seems like they have a 75$ b550 pro vdh wifi
if your max budget is $500 then sure go for a 5600g in the mobo you already have
just be aware that it has the cpu perf of a 3600 for when you upgrade
I would double check your front panel headers are connected correctly, if not what motherboard and cpu do you have? Also if the power supply is modular make sure the cables are in the correct end
@spare socket already made about 2 or 3 for you mate
if i were you i'd just slap an older APU into that b550 then sell it and do a new build when you're ready for a dgpu
i'm not a fan of the 5600g/5700g
They wanna sell for money
actually
Cuz have some parts
i guess you'd have to check if your b550 has the unofficial support for 3200g/3400g
click from psu sounds like it's trying to power on and then immediately hitting some sort of protection
so i doubt it has anything to do with front panel headers
The front panel headers are in correctly. I have a x570 motherboard and the ryzen 7 5800x . My psu is fully modular but I’m quite sure each side is in the right place
maybe something is shorted, or maybe something is just defective
pick up the pc and shake it gently, any loose screws? lol
Ahh you may need to update tour bios then
i don't think bios update will make psu click and shut off
I’m not getting any qled on the motherboard
Oh true forgot about click
Not fam spin. I think the psu fan is on tho
Row
put your ear near it
if you can't hear anything tip the pc on its side and look
lol
yeah, i am pretty sure it is triggering some kind of psu protection and shutting off
did you do this?
no lol
ah
if you dropped a loose screw somewhere it can absolutely prevent boot or worst case kill some components
Is the switch on on the back of your case for the psu
clearly it is if the psu is making a clicking sound
no loose screws, the only noise is the fans shaking around
alright
double check you didn't plug cpu power into your gpu or pcie power into your cpu?
alr
also
if your psu is old enough to have a floppy connector, make sure you didn't get confused and plug that into a fan header or something
i have seen someone do that before
and yes, it will stop the system from booting
these are all new parts
i mean.. i bought a brand new psu that had a floppy connector
just a bit older model for a very budget build
i'll make sure
Not necessarily. I have had a build where the psu clicked and would not turn on because of a issue with the psu. The switch had to be turned on and off a couple times before it would fully power on. Very rare case but who knows.
i don't remember what it was, some evga br i think
sounds like an RMA
anyways, seems like a stupid design flaw that floppy connector fits on a fan header. might make newbies think that it's for PSU fan control or something, lol
floppy connector is designed to supply power, fan header is NOT expecting to receive power
first time i saw it i actually had to google if it was for PSU fan control
never worked with a floppy drive before so never seen its connector

dawid actually had a video where someone did that
iirc it fried the fan header but the rest of the system survived
gpu is connected to pcie, cpu is connected to cpu, but it has an additional 4 pin attached from pcie
@earnest olive any way these are the parts I have that I was trying to use and make a flip to make a little money. The build I got them for he picked them out. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t6tNQ6
what the
that's another cpu power cable lol
oh ok
no
2 times the power
ahhh
so it was just another cpu then
Ye
usually cpu power is labeled as cpu power and also keyed to prevent plugging it into the wrong place
but some people have managed to both ignore the label and force something where it shouldn't be
so you never know
i see, well i plugged the additional cpu cable into pcie
wait..
man you are confusing me
amazon, it's seasonic
Please only put CPU into CPU
4+4 is eps12v, 6+2 is pcie
i did!
i'd start by buying a new psu and testing it
return old one if new one works
or
if you have a friend to borrow pc parts from, that's better
or any old spares lying around
hmm
i'm suspecting psu first if your cables are all correct
ahhhhh
Reason: Bad word usage
esp since psu is the one making the clicking sound and there's no loose metal causing a short
What
Oh well there we go
must be not a very good psu design if it actually let you do that
I feared cables wrong way round
The 8 pin end should be in psu with 6+2 pin going into gpu
Must have really jammed it
HULK SMASH
Like I mean it's literally trying to stick a square in a round hole
So if it went in fine it's in the right orientation
Uhh
yeah that's called bad design
Uh
well designed psu will only let you plug it in the correct way
💩
Probs a seasonic fireboi i mean s12
inb4 "but seasonic is a good brand"
What do you mean by both sides
so does it boot with the cable the right way
Are you rotating it?
hopefully that click is the psu noticing something wrong and shutting off due to protection
12V going where 12V doesn't belong 🙂

pray to whatever you believe in that your gpu didn't just fry
shortage is loosening up but definitely still here lol
nice
now go leave a 2 star review on that psu for letting you do that
and tell us the model so we know to avoid it
I believe it's the Seasonic FOCUS PX-750
i spent quite a bit of time agonizing over this, thanks again
Damn
oof, that's quite a good model, surprised it carries such a glaring design flaw
I did not know seasonic was that bad with that kind of thing
I just assumed it would not have been keyed the same
well, at least the protections worked and his system didn't fry
did he put eps 12v into pcie
Nah wrong end of pcie into pcie

Okay
mainly i will use Microsoft and teams and some browsing for research
but they told me to take 8gh ram and nice storage size
Refurbished 1005g1 laptop maybe?
?
@flat cliff I'd probably go with this
https://www.newegg.com/global/bh-en/natural-silver-natural-silver-with-a-vertical-brushing-pattern-hp-17-cp0007ca-home-personal/p/N82E16834273462
Assuming you're okay with refurbished?
Isn't the budget 200?
200 Bahrain
Ah
Yep
ok thank you
Np
where i can see the warranty
But you'll have uhh idk probs a year or 2 from hp directly if you ask one of their reps
refurbs usually has 1-2 year of warrant ya
ok
thank u
Shop B&H for laptops from the best brands like Apple, Dell, Lenovo and more. Solutions for home, work, or play.
is this ok ?
or this
i am comparing
between those 3
@fossil cedar
This is just a list don't see a specific one
The newegg one is better
Np
anyone ever considering Antec Striker case build, only do it if you hate yourself 😛
The deepcool macube 310 case is pretty solid. The window and back panel are magnetic and the rest are snaps. Super easy to open up and work on, a little tight on cable management though in the rear
What’s a good chunky air cooler for 12600k?
Rn schythe fuma 2 is like $100 for some reason
Thermalright Peerless assassin 120, the rgb one comes with the lga 1700 bracket i believe
O thanks
Np
Wow only $50 for this chonker
Yes it's
Check it says lga 1700 tho, if it doesn't theres a 9$ bracket on Amazon
There's a %25 off coupon too
Use this one
Nice, making those nearly same price as the normal grey 1.
Ye
Hey guys! I'm about to build my very first PC and i was wondering if there was anyone on that could maybe take a look at my PC build list to make sure that I'm not ordering any exploding PSUs or cases and whatnot lol
Sure, paste the pcpp link if you have it
While i do want it to perform well, i also focused a bit on aesthetics which is why I have the four sticks of ram and Karen aio
Damn, z73 is 300$ now...
How do you feel about the aesthetics of Galahad 360mm?
im tempted.... this is for an m27q
Performs better, and I personally think it looks better
I actually found the kraken for a lot cheaper than that. I definitely considered getting the Galahad since I'm getting lian li fans to go with it
Are you in the US?
Yes
Galahad is like 150$
Interesting...
I might change that up
I think i ended up paying like 240ish for the kraken
Looks like price still went up a bit so like 180$ for Galahad but still better than z73
What have you already bought?
Not a whole lot. Gpu, mobo, kraken
I got the GPU and mobo from a shuffle a when back. Found the kraken for cheap
If you're buying now, I would rather go Intel 12th gen atm if possible
A while*
NZXT is never cheap tbh :(
Performance wise, their 300$ cooler can be beaten by a 100$ cooler
I thought about going Intel but the mobo that came with the GPU is amd and i couldn't find anyone that wants it
But anyways, if you have to stick with the board, might be worth waiting a little for 5800x3d to release
For the rest of the build, ram wise, Corsair is just kinda bad, preferably go with ballistix rgb maybe
Is the 3d just the next gen?
AMD making a new chip with 3d v cache, supposedly called 5800x3d, only really leaks so far though
Gotcha on the ram
Bunch of leaks, but they're just that, leaks, nothing solid.
I'm looking into the ballistix ram right now
What about PSU? Im assuming that the 1000w should be enough to handle that
Is it an apu?
And AMD APUs these days has G on their name
X or Non-G automatically means non APU
Yes, G6 is good, but the price is a little high
That would be amazing
Newegg came in clutch on that restock of 3060 oc visions. Can’t wait to drop it in my build. Just now of a debate if i get a gpu cover and new support or just use my old support. Thoughts?
It’s probably coming out on the 20th it’s already shown up in bios updates
*of April
5800x 3d was announced and shown in the amd event at ces
thyere really dragging their heels
But it’s being released and shipped like in a month and a half
Zen 3 was released in November 2020. AMD has done nothing in the meantime. They knew alderlake was comeing , and in the 4 months since its release AMD again, did nothing
12th gen wipes the floor with Zen 3, and AMD didnt even adjust pricing
They haven’t released anything in the meantime. They’ve been setting up the next gen cpus, this is way more of a tech demo then anything imo
How much faster is a 7200rpm 3.5" HDD vs a 5400rpm 3.5" HDD in terms of loading files?
I'm looking to get a 8tb file dump drive so....
Not that I'm saying get a 7200rpm one, but a good one is Toshiba X300. 4TB $100ish, I forget other size prices. Of course other drives (5400 or not) might have better pricing.
then any HDD will do I think
I found a 8tb Seagate 5400 for $130 and another 8tb 7200 for $160
I can guarantee that you wont be able to tell the difference
Ok
So I'll get the 5400
Save the $30
I'm also thinking of just getting 2 2tb 870 QV0s
Not qvo. Also get m.2 nvme drive(s) unless you ran out of those slots. Most sata ssds aren't really cheaper laterly. (But MX500 or 870 Evo would be a couple good sata ssds). Obviously hdds have much lower price per GB, so remember that when trying to store 2 or 4+ TB of stuff not needing ssd speeds.
I'm not spending $300 on a 2tb nvme EACH
I already have two 1tb NVMes
And what's wrong with QVO?
...I hate the easy Anti-Cheat Engine on steam
Uses QLC instead of TLC. Lower endurance w/ qlc I think at least. Wikipedia or google could explain more/better. Edit: agree, easy AC is junk.
I need it to run war thunder and such according to steam
BUT my RGB software triggers the Anti-Cheat Engine
just don't use rgb software smh
2tb mp33 is 180$, not much more expensive than qvo
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CDM2HSS
And good bit better ^
But then I'd have to replace one of my 1TBs
If I get a 2tb QVO/8tb hdd I can have 3 drives and keep the files seperate
I'm still nut sure if I want a faster but smaller storage drives or one bigger but slower
Ahh already have both m.2 slots taken up ?
Honestly then the 870 qvo for 150$ is pretty good
So I am having issues with my PC there are a bunch of green lines running across my screen!
I'd recommend trying DDU, here's a how to guide
https://github.com/NeweggTechie/Graphics-cards/wiki/How-to-use-DDU
That didn't work.
did you boot to safe mode?
Hey @frank stirrup suggestions on a laptop 100k inr? Gaming
how come u wan inr?
Friend asking
Theyre in india
Current the best he's found is a 3060 11400h laptop
Thank you
Thats pretty much best gaming in that price tbh
Respect for searching laptops on Amazon

looking for some case recommendations
it "technically" fits in a 4000D airflow
but there's no room to route cables
is that a x79 rampage 4 black edition?
😍
trying to find a cheap case to put it in
would you be up for trading boards
👀
ah who am i kidding
i wont interrupt your workflow lol
im pretty familiar with how much the board is worth
but
if you have an X79 and want to upgrade
possibly 🤷
Width of the motherboard?
what cpu? is that a 4820k?
i bought a whole PC with it in it for $100
ive been doing it for years and im really good at it
makes sense
I havent reached out to local businesses as much as I probably could
been sticking to ebay and marketplace and whatnot since its easier
man thats gonna be a sick build
how much you selling it for?
Probably the cheapest case that would fit it properly
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/RTxbt6/cooler-master-masterbox-pro-5-argb-atx-mid-tower-case-mcy-b5p2-kwgn-03
@austere condor how much you selling it for?
i expect to get $850 for the PC
what gpu?
Sheesh
good part list
Looks like a nice case
Lancool 215 it will cover the cable management holes btw, anything over 280mm does

the bottom one looks GN disapproved
ive built in it several times
dang didnt know you were GN
Shame the 215 doesn't fit, nice case and price atm
I mean it will it will just cut off cable management holes
Mattrexx 55v3 rgb ^
I'd go lancool 215 then
overlaid the 4000D airflow on the 215
lined up all the mounting holes
the board comes right ot the edge of the corsair cable management bump out
Lancools is tiny bit longer?
25$ tax?
Swore it was 90$
Ahh surprised that wasn't added to pcpp price
Nice profits
EXCUSE ME SIR HOW TF DID YOU GET THAT AIO
And the 850w rmx
leftover PSU from a build i bought
scrapping the case
focus G is gross
AIO was from a busted ABS prebuilt i bought for parts/not working
after selling the LL120 fans, and getting a partial refund cause there was a SSD missing
the board and AIO were stupid cheap
@fossil cedar
Damm that's insane
nice aio
ok, big question, price has a small influence on this system, as i think im going to use the cheaper 3060ti in a build i got worse deals in to balance it out, but what GPU should I use in my upcoming Tower 100 PC build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VFjhyK
EVGA 3060ti FTW3 - $550
Gigabyte 3060ti Gaming OC pro - $650
MSI 3060ti Gaming X trio - ??? i think i paid like $750ish for it it might be FHR, so not 100% sure on using it yet, need to test
EVGA 3070 FTW3 - $750
a friend of mine @brisk brook built one with a Gaming OC pro
You already have all cards?
Right, I'd go ftw3, smaller than gaming x and needs better cooling than gaming oc cuz sandwiched in glass
i dont remember off the top of my head the thermals but they werent anything crazy
half of the panel is mesh and half is glass
h1 but cool
So I tried just about everything that I can think of to clear the Green lines from my monitor but nothing
try underclocking gpu
also make sure cable is fully plugged in
or a diff cable
Hello all I was wondering if you would be kind enough to help me out. I'm planning my first build and wanted some feed back on my parts choice. I'm trying to keep the budget around the $1,000 Usd amount thanks in advance.
cpu: intel core I5-12600k
motherboard: msi pro z690-a wifi
ram: corsair vengeance rgb pro 16 gbs
gpu: asus rog strix geforce RTX 3050
case: thermal take core x31 temperd glass already have on hand
psu: corsair rm850 cp-9020235-NA
plan on keeping storage and cpu cooler out of current pc.
You might look at the Corsair 4000D airflow or Phanteks P400A cases. They offer very good airflow and are cheaper by like $50-60.
The P400A however doesn't offer top radiator mounting.
thanks for the suggestion. but I was planning on using the Thermaltake case since I got it for free.
Ah gotcha. Nice
If you get a 12400 and B660 you can get a better GPU
Is the psu the rmx or just rm? I think I've seen it recommended to go with rmx over the rm.
RMx is cheaper rn too
Also, i always see the bitfenix whisper 850w recommended.
Thank you ill look into those.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tMGNQ6
This way you have more budget for the GPU, and the RM750x can handle up to a 3070ti
thank you

Pay extra for the guarantee that your PC will arrive intact? That's kinda scummy of cyber lol
That should be the companies responsibility regardless
I just upgraded my gpu and everything is huge
Update your drivers and change the resolution
Hey I appreciate all the help wit my first build, but I've heard I need to clean it often. How often do u guys clean your PC's?
I personally would take a can of dust off to it once a month. It also depends what kind of area you live in. Is it particularly dusty there?
Considering how often I have to clean the filter on my AC, I'd say once a month is good for me.
when it starts to look dusty
my pc doesn’t get too dusty so usually once every couple months
just a quick brush over the fans on my porch
Bad case, power supply, ram is definitely going to be cl18, they're ripping you off paying for cable management, bet their "pro oc" is +50 core in msi afterburner +400 memory, you're paying extra for cable management? Peripherals are definitely gonna be ewaste level, they're ripping you off getting you to pay extra for thermal paste lol, that's a necessity, paying for your pc to get their in 1 piece shouldn't be a thing they just trying get your money, I'd really build a better one yourself for cheaper
I usually hoover the mesh filters every 1-2 weeks but I've a dog that sheds non stop so dusty room + pc on floor, i don't dust out the inside more than every uhh 2-3 months
Oh ok, so I'm mostly looking out for dust, I can do that, been doing that wit my playstations ally life. And I dnt think it's really dusty out here
Hello, are there any rtx 3070 laptop deals? My range is 1.4k
You in the us?
3.9GHZ AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT
nvidia gtx 2060
MSI MPG B550 WIFI AM4 AMD B550( wifi bluethooth )
Fractal Design Celsius S36 Blackout 360mm Silent High Performance
ספק כח Seasonic FOCUS GX-550
Corsair Force LE SSD 120GB
HyperX FURY Black 1x8GB
keyboard Razer Tournament V2
speakers Logitech Z533
how much should i buy this for? like how much is all this worth
1.1k tops
Even that's pushing it imo
wait u in the us?
Not worth more than 900$
hes typed out the part bfore psu name in what looks to be hebrew
might not be in the us
Ohh yeah i see that
1x8gb ram that's a tikes
How did they build that with 8gb ram
Cry
ok so
i am from israel '_'
yeah
and tbh i could just swap the ram from my current build to this one
Ahhh, I'd say it's not worth more than about 3,800 shekal
With the keyboard and speakers, which i just noticed, maybe add a little bit more, add maybe ~300-400 shekal on
he's selling for 3400
That's good
Especially if you need the keyboard/speaker
Nice motherboard and cooler as well
Thoughts on the sama im01? Looking for a small portable micro ATX case (ATX PSU very much preferred)
Never heard of it, sounds like there's better options no matter what, all micro atx cases take atx power supplies, there is no such thing as micro atx power supply
Most sff micro ATX cases (jonsbo u3) take sfx psu
I also saw the thermal take core v21 but it seems a bit old
Sff is itx not micro atx
there you go
BTW parts pricing from country to country is VERY different so best to not just blindly convert currency
Micro atx is atx but chop off 10-20cm off of height
Let me rephrase
Most similar cases take micro ATX motherboards, and SFX power supplies
I want micro ATX mobo, AND ATX psu
Think you're confusing micro atx with itx
No I'm not
I don't want itx because itx mobo expensive
Yes, micro ATX motherboard and ATX power supply
Yeah I've never seen a micro atx case that doesn't take atx power supply
Unless there is, feel free to link
There's a website that has all the sff cases, but I forgot what it is
get literally almost any matx supported case then
It needs to be portable
Like a micro ATX version of nr200 would be perfect
Already did, but I need the power of my desktop
I mean itx boards aren't that bad if you know what you're looking for btw
Remote into a pc that's remoted into the one you're using
Remote into a remote.
Never remote into a PC that's already remoted into the PC that you're already using :}

That reminds me to put in the adapter cable for my fan lights
😭 holy, 1) that’s a big monitor 2) what the hell
Seems like a nightmare
only one that comes to mind is 011 d mini
does it affect if I choose AMD and intel for amd
hello
i want to use the ssd m.2 only. I think I need 2TB. Should I buy one or two?
Link the kit, probably none.
No such thing as amd or intel optimized ram
just marketing ^
if your budget can afford 2, go with 2
also would not advise buying corsair ram
This is still $189 with the education discount. https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-2-tb-mz-v7s2t0b-am/
ok thx all
Np
@unborn shell so you're looking for a gaming pc for 4k shekal?
yes-
i just saw the computer you made for me in newegg and thanks
but...
the prices are incorrect
for example the cpu is listed for 477 but the cheapest you could get it in israel is 529
and ordering something from out of state would make it just that much more expensive so...
and no way in hell i could find that gpu for only 1700
used people are selling it for more
thanks but the prices are too far apart...
what is the difference
Amazon listings often have pictures of the wrong products
But it seems like the top one just has a collectible box from what I can see
the top one says LHR but that doesn’t guarantee the the other one is fhr
AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600 32MB Cache
up to 4.20 GHz , With Wraith Stealth Cooler
MSI B450-A PRO MAX
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 EAGLE OC-12GB, חדש מהאריזה.
Crucial Ballistix 16GB Kit
(2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Desktop Gaming (Black)
Western Digital SN730 512GB PCIe NVMe up to 3,400 MB/s (Read)
ANTEC PSU 550W Neo Eco Modular 80+
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-DELTA RGB
for 4500 shekels
what da yall think :)
None, all marketing
In ASUS 「KO - All Models」 - Motherboards / Components , you could find most appropriate Motherboards / Components based on product features, specification or price. And you also could get product's detail information and comparsion, even add it into the wish list in buy page.
some specify LHR and some don’t
Not sure if there are FHR versions
There's no new GPUs with FHR at this point, nvidia stopped making those except for the FE cards a long time ago

I've seen worse
@fossil cedar
but its in stock there?
factory oc is just a small bit higher clocks from the factory
But also they said free shipping on anything over 600 so if you buy all at once that should do it
which is better
the cheaper one
ok thx
yep it is for about 2400 cheapest i think
hmm
when i rethink about the all ordeal i could maybe just upgrade my current build
this is my current build:
ryzen 5 2400g
a320m-s2h-cf
gtx 1050 ti 4gb
1tb hdd
500gb hdd
120gb ssd
16gb ddr4 2400mhz (2x8)
my monitor is s22b300 in case you wonder
so... what should i do? upgrade this build or buy a new one
and if i should upgrade how should i?
ohhhhh yeah if you already have a pc that helps a bit, i would probably try sell that one, maybe carry forward your 500gb hdd
Anyone know if ill have to buy a lga 1700 bracket with my nzxt x63 aio
Depends on whether retailer has old stock. Also, Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm is cheaper and better then the x63.
Both NZXT and Arctic provides free upgrade kits
Hey I have a build without a wifi adapter and I'm waiting for a hub should I just turn it on rn or wait
you can turn it on just use ethernet
assuming your motherboard has ethernet
If not you can’t really do much on your computer without internet easily unless you download your drivers on a different computer and move them over with a usb but that takes a lot of effort
I'm curious. Is it possible to build a pc for around $1-1.5k that'll run almost all games at max settings with enough fps to get a 144hz 1440p monitor?
1440p 144fps on ultra presets nah
define "enough fps"
because 12900K + 3090 is still far too weak to hit 1440p 144 fps in all games at max settings
but if you're willing to settle for less fps in some titles or not quite max settings then you can maybe get away with a 3070 in a 1.5k build
Guys
Is there really that much if a difference between 3600mhz ram and 3200mhz ram
I’m getting 32 GBs of either
Difference would be a $150 difference
Then you're looking at some wack ram it's like a 50$ diff for 32gb
Depends on what cpu you're getting
And +1 to pato
Hi
I have a laptop that is about 3 years old. The charger port is defective and does not charge well. If I remove it from the charger, it closes immediately - is it useful for me to repair the charger port and change the battery?
do you mean it dies immediately?
yes
and now I open discord in laptop and he doesn’t turn on again
wdym
someone pulled the wire while it was in the charger port and it didn't fit well
i opened the discord app and closed and couldn't get it to work again
it probably was running in the background
if you go into task manager and close discord from there you could prolly launch it again
ive no clue
always open this when this is damaged
about what?
about the issue
i think the port should be repaired and the battery replaced, right?
I hope to have a PC soon :)
What motherboard do you have?
Msi z690 edge
Look for a jrainbow header on the board.
that's not meant to plug into a motherboard
that's a male connector
motherboard has a male connector expecting a female connector
that's probably coming off of your case's built in RGB controller (looks like phanteks)
you can plug your fans into that cable, it will power the rgb, but you won't be able to control rgb using software (you will have to use the case control button)
So techinically I can leave that unplugged
And plug the case can cable to the mother board instead
yes absolutely
if you leave it unplugged it just means the case controller will be ignored
Ok thank you very much I was stuck
would recommend putting the pin protecting sleeve back on it, it should have come with one
Yea I have it
yeah, just in case you ever want to use it in the future, better not break it for nothing
i've used that with some boards that were too old to support ARGB
8700K based build with all of the rgb being powered by the phanteks case
I wish my case had the hole in the psu shroud so i could run my gpu power cords through it. Sucks having to go through the little grommets and back track to the psu
lol, you should see where my gpu power cables are routed through
wrong image one sec
I wish i had more cable management options
Have to talk more to level up
Your not the only one that loves to see new builds everyday all the time
Just chat a bit more till you have the rank to post pics
Yup eventually
So do you already have a PC or looking to build or upgrade?
I have a pc and am upgrading still. I am waiting on gpu cover, support, and pau shroud
Nice what specs you running currently?
I have an i5, geforce rtx 3060 vision oc, got 32gb ddr4 ram uhm those are main specs
Not bad at all that's actually pretty good but what model i5?
11400f2.6ghz
Not bad
Came in the prebuilt so can’t complain
Oh understandable
Yeah just didnt swap that or psu out
If ya want ya can dm a pic of your build and I can give some pointers or ideas for you
Oof
Yeah
Nice got it
Ngl their build is pretty clean as it is and looks nice
my headset is at 100% volume and sounds quiet what do i do to fix this
Check your actual pc volume
the wheels also turrned up all the way too
my pc just started doing this like one week after i bulit it
where do i find audio drivers
Device manager
Type it in search, then audio inputs and outputs check that your stuff shows up there
First
Right click on your audio device if it shows up there and theb say update driver
Does anyone know if you are able to just buy a pc case glass? Mine shattered a bit. I have a phanteks one
it says best drivers already installed
Yeah kevdog just search it online and find your case
It will sound strange, did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in?😂
Contact support for replacement panel, what case to be specific?
Do you hear nothing or do you hear it but it sounds quiet
it sounds quiet
steelseries arctis 3
Or go to settings. Then sound and check your output volume or go to device properties and check those
eh, shouldn't be hard to run
@stoic island I have the phanteks 500
wdym
Low impedance
shouldn't need anything beyond mobo sound card
what is a mobo sound card
