B550 is newer so it tends to have newer VRM design. Besides that, the chipset fan on X570 has the potential to fail and adds more noise.

The only real difference going up to X570 is both M.2 slots are gen 4 (irrelevant to 99.9%) there are more PCIe lanes (doesn't matter with a single GPU) and there's up to 2 more USB ports.

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask but I've tried everything I can think of to get my gaming laptop working. No matter what I try i get zero activity from the computer. It's a lenovo Y520. I've tested the power suppy with a voltmeter and it reads good. I've tried checking battery cable connections. Tried reseating the RAM. Literally zero activity, no charging indicator light or anything. Does this mean it's a bricked computer or is there something else i can try?
