You just need a flash drive for installation, and I believe the requirement is even lower for the size, but the flash drive just need to be formatted to fat32

Also, I'm running my pc without a Graphics Card rn (I have a core with a Graphics Chip in it) - the tutorials I looked at all used an HDMI connected to the Graphics Card when connecting to the PC for initial setup, and told me not to use a Display Port yet. How would I go about using my monitor without the Display Port (for the initial startup) if I don't have a Graphics Card to connect an HDMI cord to? Would it make any difference to connect the HDMI to the back of the Motherboard instead, or, should I be doing something else?

Plugging into a different video port shouldn’t matter

Basically, motherboard display outputs are for the iGP, and the display outputs on the GPU are well, for the GPU, whenever you have a GPU, most of the time, it'll be more powerful than the iGPU, that's why you'll want to plug into the back of the GPU.

iGPU -> integrated graphics, graphics that's built on the CPU

Since you don't have the GPU, and want to use the iGPU, in this case, you plug into the back of the motherboard

is there anything wrong with this build?

If one of my hard drives has failed would it still show up in device manager as unknown device?

It makes some weird kind of beeping noises when I try to boot it but doesnt show up in bios

Does show in device mngr tho

I opened it up and the arm looks to be parked and theres no scratches or anything on the platter so Im not sure whats going on

You should never ever open a hard drive

Opening an HDD kills it pretty quick

I watched three different videos that showed people do the same thing to reset a stuck arm

And they boot right back up afterwards

A hard drive should only be opened in a cleanroom by people who are trained and certified

I assumed the drive to be dead in the first place

Otherwise I wouldnt have opened it
