Which controller is it? Some of them you need to change to "user" mode instead of a preset using whatever remote it has.

A faulty or overheating power supply can cause the PC to shut down unexpectedly. I would check to see if the fan for the PSU is still running or if it's dying. Things can be faulty from the factory, it's just how things are, unfortunately. Until then, try not to use the PC since a bad power supply can potential harm your PC
