you have 3 sata drives

each one needs 1 sata power and 1 sata data cable

sata data cables are the smaller ones that go between the drive and the motherboard

All right just to sum this up the reason I'm asking is my 1tb 970 Evo plus from Samsung cost $159. Its a NVme. If returned it I could get a Samsung 980 which is also an nvme 1tb and another 500gb for almost same price

Im considering making a transaction on craigslist for a 3080, i’ve contacted the guy and he said he’s willing to do pay half now, ship it to me, and pay other half on arrival to me. He’s sent me a photo of the gpu, it’s in an unopened box, with a sticky note on top with today’s date (upon my request). It seems legit, but as far as I know it could be an empty box. Are there any other sure fire signs i can ask or look for to make sure it’s still a sealed box?

I love my Zotac 1070 mini! Mine is paired with an i5-8400 and 32gb ram too. All in a little Dell Inspiron. COD for me and Sims 4 for my daughter. Lol

The GTX 1070 is a great GPU. The RTX 2060 beats it ever so slightly if it gives you an idea of what GPU it was during its peak. I built a gaming PC for my buddy to get him out of consoles and he's never looked back since. It's still worthwhile and great if you can get it without the current inflated price on GPUs.

I would just wait until everything is "back to normal" once inventory is greater than demand and prices return back to normal. I'm still rocking my RTX 2080 Super but I bought it brand new in January of this year for a steal, luckily. Supporting the scalpers is the thing you don't want to do right now since it gives them more incentive to buy up more inventory and keep the prices high for us

I'm also waiting to upgrade my CPU and mobo so we'll see when Alder Lake drops later this year. Doesn't sound promising since lack of resources and the fact that Samsung will not have PCIe 5.0 SSDs ready until Q2022 so there's a likelihood that the 12th gen CPUs may not support PCIe 5 until the 13th gen. But, Intel may push for PCI5.0 support so we wouldn't need to upgrade later. Who knows right now

This is funny since a decade ago, there were more scams on Craigslist and now, it's scams on sites like OfferUp and Mercari

It can if the rest of the industry uses it but given the history of how long it took for companies to adopt USB-C let alone give up USB 2.0, it may take another generation or two. I am definitely looking forward to DDR5 Ram

Ehhh, gaming needs nowhere near pcie 5.0 amounts of bandwidth for anything, I'd say it's much more likely pcie 5.0 goes to the server space before coming to the consumer space

General fix for random windows problems

From an admin command prompt or powershell, run:

sfc /scannow

If that doesn't work, try:

dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth
dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Then, try running sfc again.
Repeat as necessary
Run this anyway then since you had a bsod

common are 2666, 3000, 3200, and 3600

Bigger is better

#

To ensure the new ram you buy works with your machine, buy one with the same timings and speed

if you don't want to deal with that yourself you can buy one with 16gb or when you get a pc with 8gb, come back and ask for help

I say stay away from large companies that use proprietary parts to make their prebuilt like HP, Dell, etc. and go for companies that use off shelf parts for their prebuilt like ABS, Cyberpower, Skytech (I may be wrong since I've never tried any of these companies) since the parts are virtually universal and you won't end up with proprietary connectors and parts
