Uh i doubt that old hardware is supported in windows 10
Definitely no drivers
For 10 and most likely 8
I have the 1050ti drivers done so far I think
Cause when I check for updates it says I am up to date
Download cpu z
?????
I'm trying to see what hardware you have first
I am trying to install my motherboard and there is space inbetween the place on the motherboard where you plug stuff in like is a and hdmi and the io shield I think it’s called
Then it's not mounted correctly, the ports should be right up against the io shield
Yes but it's not a great experience
@fossil cedar how do I intakal this thing
Just like any other program
Run, next next etc
Alright
https://www.amd.com/en/support the automatic download thing will probs give you your best shot
Alright
What else
Any wireless drivers
Ethernet
WiFi
Cause I keep have it this problem
Now it says dns severs couldn’t be found lol
@fossil cedar any mobo
How is my Ethernet speed 1Gbps
And my wifi 43.2 Mbps
When my plan is 100mbps
How do I check which ones I need to install
Is 650w enough for 3060ti
what cpu?
Ryzen 5 3600x
yeah a 650 is great
Any psu’s you suggest
Cause i keep being told the s12iii is bad even tho i was told it was trustworthy IN THE SAME SERVER
phanteks amp is p good
idk pricing on it rn
lemme check
id get this tbh
pretty good psu and for a decent price rn
it is bad
Ok
it would prolly work but it is not a great psu by any means
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-tg01-1160xt-8mp64av-1?jumpid=ma_hp-gaming_product-tile_desktops_16_8mp64av-1_hp-pavilion-gaming-d Would this pc be worth it to buy since the GPU market is horrendous rn?
Save with Free Shipping when you shop online with HP. Find all product features, specs, accessories, reviews and offers for HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1160xt (8MP64AV_1).
@little osprey gpu market is slowly coming back down so I am waiting . But I have heard some great things about the HP pavilion so if you are in need of a pc right now and with a budget of around $800 I would say yes get it. Although you should upgrade the RAM to 16 GB
@shrewd fjord OK thank you. If I were to build a PC and wait for the market, this is my current build list without the GPU. What GPU should I look into if I want to get 165+ fps in fortnite and valorant with 1080p and LOW-MED settings https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FyRrbh
should i get a laptop or a prebuilt
do you want performance or portibility?
preformance
then get a prebuilt
finally my pc is alive!!!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/133795488685?epid=2315640392&hash=item1f26d523ad:g:UvkAAOSwpLtg0PPB SHould I bid lol?
i mean if you want
itll be over 600 by the time its over tho
easily
its only been up for an hour
so should i get a prebuilt like ibuypower or someone like that
Oh your right lol it just went up
Like a mic on a stand or one that goes on your headset?
mic
the ones with like little llegs i dont want a xlr obe
yeah, do you want one like a Blue Yeti? Or one you can add to your headset that's like a boom mic?
Yo guys any 11th gen cpu for less than 200?
11400 should be but it's out of stock
MSRP is 189
Oh wait
hey guys should i get a prebuilt that one of those custome prebuilt make
Faster single and multicore
Basically faster overall
just not able to be overclocked
11400K
id get 11400 if it were me
20 bucks more but you have a better gaming cpu
and better igpu
slightly
ON a aB560 motherboard
Reason: Bad word usage
Actually 10700k is on big sale on Amazon
Oh and another great deal just in case if someone didn't seen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087QRVVVH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_JJB86HFJN7GF7YJQA858?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Amazon.com: Crucial P5 1TB 3D NAND NVMe Internal SSD, up to 3400MB/s - CT1000P5SSD8: Computers & Accessories
10700k isn't as cheap as 11400 tho
i have a headset i just need a mic
a blue yeti like that or a stand fifine
But you get 8 core for about 40 more
11400 is almost catching 5600x on gaming
Eh just a few fps different
It's basically margin of error
For games 5600X is bleh value
299 compared to 180-190 of 11400
Yeah 11400 is definitely winner
I having 10700k couse I need some performance but for gaming 11400 is a great deal
I think 10700k is better value than 5600x especially now
lga 1200 and am4 are destined ded anyway before next gen comes
ddr5 age's gonna start
The ryzen advantage basically vanished with the demise of ddr4 coming
Unless you aim for higher end I suppose
Like a 5900X
Intel's high end that isn't hedt is still 8c, what a shame
yeah im thinking of selling my whole pc before gpu market is over so i can buy next gen stuff lol
a mic please recommendation
???
anyone know why when i launch davinci resolve it turns off my pc and while editing but it never happens while rendering. any potential fixes appreciated
what do i fix
gpu price way too high, aio bad, board being near the price of the chip is interesting, ssd bad, a bit low on storage space, case bad, could get better psu for the price
well im just keeping the gpu there as a placeholder
wait so the board should be more expensive than the cpu?
less
but z490 board pricing is sad nowadays so... meh?
most of it is placeholder
also
any psu's you can recommend?
just link the list lol
😑
the pc im using rn is a prebuilt
just copy and paste this link
can u recommend a psu and an aio i dont really know which ones are good
if you really have to go aio, freezer ii, if not, fuma 2 will work fine
psu wise, grab a msi a-gf 750w, or a phanteks amp 750w, or a revolution d.f. 750w
what's a good ssd that's only 500 gb
Crucial MX500, hynix S31 is $45 right now prime day. Snag it
Buy SK hynix Gold S31 SATA Gen3 2.5 inch Internal SSD | SSD 500GB | 500GB SATA | Up to 560MB/S | Solid State Drive | Compact 2.5' SSD Form Factor SK hynix SSD | Internal Solid State Drive | SATA SSD: Internal Solid State Drives - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
i don't really use that much space
i have 500 gb rn and it's perfect
still got 50 gb left
I would really recommend you start with 1tb
you'll want some free space on your drive
im looking for new fans for my AIO as the ones i have now arent very good for an AIO, would Sickleflow 120 V2's work or should I spend $20 more and get MF120R's?
what motherboard should i get
do you want to OC or no
Overclock
p12 rgb
omg u right
no thank u
i totally forgot about them
then grab like a b560m bazooka
if youre a prime member you can get a 1TB BX500 for $65 or a 1TB P2 for $75, better value for storage
ahem
i could but im not ordering parts today i dont have the money yet
b in bx500 stands for bad
BX500 garbo
i was thinking of selling my pc rn
and waiting till prices go down to buy a new one
@fading oyster smart you can get more money for your pc now even tho it's used because of the market
So sell is now while prices for GPU are high and save money for when market settles down then you can get OP pc
Well by the end of the year the next gen will start coming out for processors and motherboards, which means last (current) gen stuff will, in theory, drop in price. DDR5 is coming too but that'll be a weird launch.
I just made this tell me what I need to fix
@stoic island @muted patio
Can u guys help me with this build
^^
well, 3600 right now is not a good value at all
lets start off with what it's meant for
1080P gaming medium to high settings and btw I am not buying this rn
I will get when market calms down
so
@shrewd fjord 11400 is just better value than 3600, and it seems that will hold for the next few months
next, aio is just kinda unnecessary for a chip that draws as little power as a 3600
I am planning on getting this in like 3 months probably
So I should still change the 3600
Ok will do. Anything else?
ram, well, ballistix 3600c16 with rgb is 110$, you can go cheaper too
storage wise, 1tb hdd just doesn't make sense
consider for like 20$ more, you get good 2tb drives
sn550 from lenovo is actually out of stock, so I would put down a pilot e for now
Do you think you could change this stuff for me xd I am having trouble keeping up
PSU wise, I'd just grab a MSI A-gf, slightly better, cheaper right now
yeye
ick I forgot how 11400 price went way up too for some reason
I do say this is probably better than the first build I ever made
10400 it is then
Its okay man I wont get this for awhile
Do the 11400 if it has a noticeable difference
I'll leave the gpu empty for later
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nQztDc
probably 3050ti if possible, that should theoretically come out in a few months
but if not, 2060/3060
I've heard so many times that AMD has better CPU for gaming is this intel going to be good?
Intel is good on the low/mid end for price/performance, AMD is just better performance
well
here's the thing
Intel 10th gen and 11th gen outperform zen 2 for gaming
but zen 3 outperforms both
I see is there a huge price gap
In a gaming performance general benchmark, it goes 5600x > 11400 > 10400 > 3600
considering MSRP prices goes something like 300$ - 190$ - 180$ - 200$, I think there's a clear winner
Mmmm so the 10400 will be fine
11400 is a bit better
I would grab 11400 when possible
it's just out of stock at the normal msrp atm
Ok so here I am not wanting to build this right now so... can you try and make an entire list even if it's not available right now?
And I would prefer a liquid cooler if possible in case I upgrade later on. Or is that not good idea
this kinda thing
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZV3rbh
nah
I'd just buy it when you need it
you could go futureproof on the air cooler tho
How so
grab a fuma 2 and that'll be good for most consumer chip on the market for non-ocing
well
except like 5950x and 11900k kinda thing, but you kinda expect that with a 60$ cooler
Right. So I should make it a what, fuma 2?
Throwback to the time I almost bought a dark rock pro 4 for my 3600
Cuz it was on sale for $70
Lel
If you plan to upgrade the cpu at some point
Only if you plan to upgrade to a 10th or 11th gen chip someday tho
fuma 2 is good for now
Mr1
but se-224-xt will do fine for now too
But how likely is it that they will upgrade cpu
I doubt they will
So I'd go se224
mhm
Since next gen Intel will be on different socket, and fuma 2 won't work on that
since the next most likely upgrade will include socket change
Ye
Ok
So basically
Do you plan on upgrading to like an i7 or i9 of the 11th gen Intel someday?
Or 10th gen Intel?
If you plan on upgrading using the same Mobo, meaning 11th or 10th gen, keep the fuma 2
If you plan on getting a new Mobo next time you upgrade, go with the se224xt
So the list I just gave is good then since I wont upgrade for long time
Yeah
Also if you don't care about color of that se224xt you can save 5 bucks by going with the gray one
Up to you tho
Awsome thank you both so much. Now time to wait until I get done rebuilding my truck
And I like the black one but thanks
1984 Chevy k20 custom deluxe
Ooh a nice one
Yeah. Doing a frame off on it.
Is it in pretty bad condition?
It was yes
I stripped it down to the frame and my dad and I are working our way up
Nice
What did you resore
Oh nice expensive too
They locked it up wow
I heard they may have put gas in it but idk if that's true
Must have run it hard
Yeah I've already put about 3k into my truck. I am working my ass off this summer make another 10k
Nice
16 years old and I'm working 2 jobs trying to save up
I wanna get a square body someday lol
They are beautiful
Yeah especially if you jack em up
Yuh
Wouldn't recommend a duramax swap on one. Well depends on the truck I suppose
Yeah
Would be fun to have a huge diesel in one
Yeah but now I'm running with a little Nissan pickup and a minty 3500hd duramax
Yeah. I was going to make mine a diesel but I did some research and the diesel engines in this year of truck did not last long
Gotta love the grandpa trucks
Haha yeah
I'm driving a 5 speed dodge caliber for the moment....
Daymmm only 46k how long you been driving it
😳
Gotta pull the whole front end apart to get the headlights out lol
Sad
My grandpa has a 2003 and the headlights literally hinge out so you can replace the bulbs easily
Hell yeah it does
Almost completely stock
And I'm gonna leave it like that probably
Hasn't had a thing done to the engine
Other than oil and that stuff
How much do u guys think i could sell a prebuilt with 2080 Super and i7 10700k for?
Those are the seats I want
Dangggg those seats look insane
1500
Easily
Not mine yet. But I will do something like that
on ebay or wa?
Fb marketplace is my go-to selling place
@leaden mantle I'll give you 500 for it lmao jk jk
Yes
Well look i found it on fb market place lol and i think i can negotiate it down to like 1300, u think i could sell it off for a profit in like 6 months?
I am good at that
Well, imma head out, cya around
Alr man cya
hi hello trying to build my first pc and i managed to get ahold of a ryzen 5900x at msrp. any suggestions on MOBO? i was leaning towards a strix x570-E but im not sure if it's overkill or if it's good? the crosshair dark hero seems like overkill but i kinda wanna future proof for at least 5-8 years. im worried that i wont get a MOBO that'll do the cpu justice since it was so hard to find lmao
lot of people on here will advise you to get a B550 board
Dark Hero is totally overkill unless you're doing liquid nitrogen or something
Yep B550 tends to be better VRM design
if you really set on X570, I can recommend the MSI Tomahawk.
Yep and 99% of people don't need the extra features from X570 tbh
Reason: Bad word usage
MSI B550 A-Pro and Gaming Plus are good too
oop i got word blocked soz weggbot
Is the Newegg warranty worth it on gpu?
Depends, which GPU? Some manufacturer warranties are BAD.
Then there's ones that have like, lifetime warranties
Powercolor 6700 XT hellhound spectral white
(also sidenote im kinda worried about the overheating rumors with the 5900x so should i go AIO? If so do y'all have a suggestion on what one?)
Arctic Liquid Freezer II
360mm
yea, always AIO. 240mm at least. Lian Li, EK, Arctic
wig y'all are awesome thank you!!
If you can't get the 360mm then the 280mm is probably plenty still unless you overclock heavily.
I have a 5800x with 360mm AIO
240mm is good for that if it's a good one (I have one)
sick okay im probably gonna go 360mm just to be safe 😭 thanks y'all!
360 is overkill but future proof
Powercolor only has a 1 or 2 year warranty, IDK which it is because it says both
You got an amazing processor there. Happy trails!
thanks!!!
Ah it's 2 years. I'd get the extended warranty personally if I planned on keeping it longer than that.
Build time.
Another advantage of b550 over x570 is no annoying wizzy fan for the chipset
Do i need to flash my bios for using 5800x on a rog strix B550?
Yeah most likely
is that 2700x?
Thats a 5800x
Well intel is the bang for buck budget cpu rn
You need an ssd
That gpu is way too overpriced
And the case is finnneeeee but it's a mess airflow wise
Nice
Sure
Ok guys its help time.
PC is up and running and im in BiOs. I have my windows media instal disk inserted but PC is not finding it? I am using a Rog Strix B550 any help or changes to BiOs??
look for boot seqeunce settings and set USB as one of them
that looks right
with USB in everytime ut just loads Bios straightaway
hmm.. thats very odd
doesnt look like it. remember downloading the tool from microsoft is one things, making the boot drive is somehting else
Oh I'm an expert now haha.
wait, why did you set your OS type as "Other"?
also, disable fastboot
for now

Nice. Cheers bud. Come to think of it I think I actually have not got window on this drive. I'm just glad it loaded.
😆 👍
Must say so far very happy with this build. The case is solid!
nicely done!
So now. Once windows is installed. Which drivers etc do I need to download and is the a better order to do them?
I would do motherboard first, then GPU
there should be a download section on your motherboard website page
then last of all do any RGB software you want
Nice. Cheers bud.
Motherboards usually have a number of drivers (chipset/audio/networking etc)
just get the latest of each
Hey, so I built my pc recently without a gpu and without integrated graphics. It’s pretty much useless rn but it still turns on lol. I was wondering if this is bad for the lifespan of my pc as the parts are not in the box and I don’t leave it on for long periods of time. I only turn it on occasionally to see if there are any problems.
wouldnt get em from there
usually are outdated
get em from manufacturer of the device
What is gonna go wrong if you havent done anything to change anything?
- No wont damage your system.
- How would you know if everything is ok without a screen? Does your system have a post code display?
im betting he goes according to fan spin
ah, got a "fan whisperer" in our midst? cool
Finished my new build finally, just got it back home from assembling the pieces. It has one huge pro 😄 If any burglars hit my home, unless they have a heavy lifter with them, there is no way they can take it 😂
Of course, it still lacks a latest series GPU
Hey can anybody help me?
Ask your question, don't ask to ask
I got a brand new graphics card and I’m building a pc
It’s a GeForce GTX 1650 super
This bad boy right here
I was trying to use pcpartpicker to figure out compatibility but it won’t tell me
I need to know what I can use to figure out what the best parts I can get with it are
GPU is going to limit whatever you have anyway so post your budget you have left for other parts and ask for a list.
For example https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pNGrbh
So you’re saying all that will work?
Your GPU is going to limit whatever parts you get for $1500
so plan on a GPU upgrade in the future
to match the rest of the parts
That was definitely the plan
So what youre saying is it will work but it’s optimized for a future upgrade?
1650 will be the performance limiting factor
So get good stuff for everything else and upgrade it later
Okay that makes sense
So what games do you think I can run on a rig like this?
It’ll be awhile before I can afford another gpu
Should be able to run just about anything 1080p low-med settings with a 1650 super
Hey guys. I cannot download LAN, wireless, bluetooth from RoGs website? Says does not support 64bit???
And what graphics card should I save up for?
What resolution do you plan to game at and refresh rate?
Make sure you chose WIndows 10 64 bit from the drop down menu
Did that bud. It downloads but when I click run it doesn't run the software
Honestly idk I’ve never played on pc. Um, about where an Xbox series x would be at?
What monitor do you plan on getting?
Rn I just have an lcd
what resolution
It runs at about 1080 max I believe
Yup 1080p 60Hz
Ah, do you plan on upgrading? 1440p monitor is 200-300
In the future yes
But not now
Still, I'd shoot for a 3060TI or 3070 down the road when things stabilize
and get a new monitor then
1080p 60 is good for a 1650 Super
Which exact drivers, link me to where you're downloading from
That was just an example, let me fine tune it for a $1500 budget
Oh ok. I would prefer performance over budget for at least another hundred over
Ya, no need to spend more TBH
I don’t need 32 gn of Ram do I?
What would you need 32 for?
nice list
Oh yah
What’s ssd again?
Sorry I know I sound a bit dumb I’ve played on consoles my whole life
This link bud
my window 10 is not activated will that matter
What is the exact error message, those should work activated or not
This is all I have bud
Can I download the LAN direct from intel website?
From this website I have only been able to download software and utility and chipsets
It's space in your computer for downloading things
Very fast

I still cannot seem to download drivers from ROG website 😦
My bios is latest version
what drivers do i need before doing my gpu etc_
You didnt extract them first?
Just opened the zip file?
Gotta extract the zip
i just opened it
Right click extract the zip folder
thank you its working now. So i dont need VGA right as i have a GPU?
nice
Thank you:)
🙂
Ok so now all built. Drivers downloaded and Nvidia experience downloaded. Can i now use HDMI on my screen (currently using DVI) and i another monitor can i add that too via HDMI? Anything else i may need to do to make this build finished? Thanks guys
I've got a DisplayPort cable on the way for my new rig, but using HDMI until then.
display port is better?
K so I put a new build on pcpartpicker for if I do get a card. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/FireDestroyer53/saved/ is it good?
which one
you already have half of the things?
would prob change ssd/psu choice then depending on what bb has
they're not bad, just could be better, and/or cheaper
Those are the best that are there they have bad selection
local bb?
No website
I got help from pato and eats food
better psu, good price.
Kk
sn750 1tb decent price, I can check other drive pricing too
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/6338995.p
bb drives suck
When I get back on my comp I will
Kk
How much better is it compared to the SSD I have in rn? Or is it cheaper
it's nvme, a only barely better in terms of real world perf, but a lot higher seq perf for whenever you do that
Kk
MuSt BuY gEn 4 FoR bIg NuMbEr
we be talking nvme vs sata but yas
i haven't benchmarked my gen 4 drive yet
too busy overclocking ram
after 4 days the end is finally in sight
and then you'll find out some random thing is making all of it unstable >:D
hehe
the replacement motherboard and missing cooler cable are arriving soon
i just wanna finish this build
What is the build? Is it a job or personal
personal
Specs?
what happens when i find too many good deals to resist
how did you get a 6tb hdd for free?
my friend gave it to me
That's a great build for 1900
he has an IT job and his boss retired a NAS full of 6tb hdds after only one year to upgrade them all to 16tb
dang i need friends like that lol
damn
so he gave away 5 to our friend group
was there not a fear of any data left on them?
dunno what he did to the rest probably sold them
Chia miners be like
idk he and his boss are drinking buddies
but yeah most of the stuff i bought is like
nice
30-50% off of their actual value
random question will disabling windows 10s make it run slower
?
Going to windows 10s to windows 10 home ig
Do you know what windows 10s is?
It's like a streamlined more basic windows
I'm looking at what it does other than restrict
because I thought all it did was restrict some things, therefore no impact on performance
huh
Windows 10 S won’t allow any access to command line environments or tools. You can’t launch either the Command Prompt (CMD) or PowerShell environment.
looks like the only real difference is still restricting things
should not affect performance
Ok cool thx
windows for babies huh
Yeah it's like chrome os lol
would this be where one could get a little help with troubleshooting a troublesome new build?
i'm building my brother a new pc with these parts https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3txXwz and it's having trouble once i put everything in and connect everything, but specifically the front panel drgb connector. without it, it starts up and posts just fine and the rgb works and all so idk what i'm doing wrong. the vetroo v5 drgb is connected just fine. it's just the case rgb that is having an issue.
i haven't built anything that used these connectors before. with the case drgb connected to the mobo, fans will spin, but it'll loop restart, flashing the lights and i hear what seems to be clicking from the psu so i assume there's some kinda protection thing kicking in
Is the case rgb with a 4 pin connector or 3 pins?
3 pin
huh..
Ya
RGB connector causing a failed boot
Is 750w enough for 3080ti ? 🤔
I'd have to guess that the case has some defect causing voltage to go where it shouldn't
Enermax revo 850 df for an affordable quality unit.
also I really hope you did not pay $750 for the worst rx 580
no that's my old gpu i threw in til he can find a new one
okay good
Oh Im too lazy to change psu and ruin all cable management lol
the list price of that build is way more expensive than my 5800x + 3080 build
almost gave me a heart attack
lol yeah
anyways I'd assume that it's a case defect
shorting out the motherboard and preventing boot
also for the record, the problem persists with either of the 2 headers and even trying the piggyback that the vetroo v5 has
so i've at least confirmed it's not the mobo
could be sending 5v down the wrong pin
so worst case i gotta return/rma the case and hope that's it or just live with the case rgb not syncing with the mobo/cpu cooler
you said it works fine when that's not plugged in right?
yeah
then yeah you should be fine to just return the case
What’s a good gpu pairing for the 3700x?
What resolution and refresh rate is more important
really depends on your budget, what you're doing with it, etc
3700X still shouldn't bottleneck any modern GPU at 1440p+
id just be doing gaming and schools stuff
yea i got it for like 270 yesterday on prime
pretty good deal imo
270 for a 1440p monitor or 270 for a 3700x?
I assume they meant the 3700X which is... yeah
TBF you need to spend more on a Z motherboard so the cost balances out, thanks Intel
Yea
Big sad
But it's about the same price for 10700kf and z490 and 3700x and b550
3700x
Annoying thing about the X299 chipset is that the cheapest ATX motherboard I could find was $300 it's worth it but my free CPU turned real expensive fast
I have a 7740X that has never been opened from the box for that reason
Was planning to get a cheap board for it, but it just never made sense to
Since the boards were a bit more then cheap
I'm still reinstalling and updating stuff. I forgot what a pain in the booty switching machines is.
I’m adding a second hdd to my pc but I can’t find the other sata cable. I have the one that connects to the mb but idk where the one that connects to the psu is
Can I use one of the other slots on the cable that’s plugged into the other hdd?
yes they wouldn't put 3-4 on a single cable if you could only use 1
Fair but I thought they may have put them on there for other things
Like one of my slots is plugged into the rgb hub
your rgb hub is probably drawing more power than a hard drive
np happy building
my friend even has a scuffed setup where she uses splitter on her sata power
idk why she has so many drives
Some ppl use like 20tb somehow
and she lost all but 1 sata power cable
@fossil cedar they're all like 500gb
anyways it got to the point where we had to run calculations to make sure she wouldn't overload the rail or the sata power connectors
AHAHAHAA
i've seen pictures of overloaded sata power connectors, it's not pretty
miners trying to draw 75w on sata
The smart ones use molex adapters, and not the cheapest one either
does molex give you enough power?
More than sata at least
yea single 8 pin is rated for what, 150w at least?
Cables are all overbuilt
150W is 8 pin technical spec

fun
it's weird seeing mining motherboards with pcie power connectors on the board
but they need it for the slots lol
Pushing 200W through a 8 pin cable is common, even though it's "technically" 150W, but you need a good power supply
Bruh
my 4tb hdd only says 3.63tb
windows things
im pretty sure thats normal but does anyone know why
it uses a different measurement
ddg better
?
duck hater
Chrome is no search engine lol
hows it better
well google is
i meant google but same thing
it gives me absolute search results
more rule 34 and stuff
not influenced by any previous searches or any other data
oh like google censors stuff?
As long as you aint using yahoo or bing i don't judge tbh
No, what I want is for two different person to search the same thing to see the same result
what he said
oh
With google, they influence what comes at the top with their previous data on you
ight, im moving over to opera
i accidentally downloaded opera in 2018 and it was so bad
Is it even a search engine? Thought was just a browser, but eeww anyway
Ohh you mean running the browser limits your other potential? Well that's in all of them XD
no the opposite
like you can limit how much ram or cpu the browser is allowed to use
kinda cool actually
Ik i was making a joke lol
what's bad about bing
All of it
Cbd?
wht
@elfin flame if you mean to ask what cba means it means cant be arsed fyi
I could not tell if you mistyped or what cuz a minda close to d on keeb
Lol
All the cbd oil
i saw someone saying its better to get 2080ti with the ryzen9 5900x than a 3080, is it true?
how many fps is 4k?
uh, depends on your GPU and the game
Hey can I get some help? I have an AMD 3000g and a msi b450 pro max and a 3060 in the x16 pcie slot I can't get the motherboard to run it faster then x4 speeds.
Do you have an NVME drive?
Ssd
Well, the CPU only has 8 PCI_E lanes to start with so the most you'll get is x8
SSD as in Sata SSD?
or M.2?
It is only showing up as 4x and sata SSD
Do you have any other PCI-E devices plugged in like a WiFi card or anything?
I plugged in a USB wifi
Are you getting the x4 speed from the BIOS or from something like GPU-Z?
I'd be curious to know what GPU-Z reports
Bios is showing 4x
let me snag a manual and have a gander
Ok so looking at the block diagram, it looks like the Chipset takes up 4 lanes
Leaving the GPU with 4 lanes to the CPU
So the x4 connection is correct
Dang haha do I need to upgrade my CPU???
Thank you so much I was so confused.
I was too TBH
I dind't know those CPU's only had 8 lanes
Learned something tonight
is a gtx 2060 good for gaming?
Depends on the price
and the resolution
good 1080p card, Ok 1440p card
Not worth the current prices tho
I had one and it did well at 1440p TBH
Good for 1080p, $299 a bit steep though
?
wait yall i think im getting a PC soon since i need one for school and i think i want to get back into coding, editing (photo and video), and also just have it for gaming if nec. Also, in general I need more storage, ram, better gpu, etc (currently using a relatively old Macbook Air) so uh do yall have any specific recommendations. Im aware that rn, the GPU market is extremely high so I will probably have to wait but I want to be ready.
if your not doing heavy gaming then something like the 11500 is pretty great till you manage to pick up a gpu
it has a respectable igpu where igpus are concerned
The best part is that it doesn't have a crappy CPU like the AMD 3000G series does
yup
just to see what im looking at
anyone have a streamer setup template?
or more content creator ish lol
Anyone else running into a glitch on Neweggs PC builder feature when selecting a Corsair AIO and than trying to add a case? It says, "We’re sorry, there are no items that match your selections. Please adjust your selections to try again." Also, if you add a case first, the Corsair AIO's are no longer an option.
yeah same thing happens with me
Interesting! Than it is not just me.
you could use https://www.pcpartpicker.com instead
Yeah, but I am buying all the parts on Newegg and I like the convenience of throwing all of them into the cart when I am ready to buy. I think a work around is to not add it to the list and just throw it in the cart when ready to buy.
you can select retailers on pcpp
just select Newegg and everything you see on the list will be from them
also sometimes newegg wont have the best prices, which is why pcpartpicker is nice in some cases

id spend the extra few minutes to add stuff to cart manually and save 100 bucks
This is true but I have tons of credit with Newegg.😆
lol nice
Well do, thanks!
hes talking about from different retailers, btw
Noted! 👍
Honestly i find white builds looking better than black recently
they are very appealing, but would imagine its a nightmare to keep clean and looking as good as they do in pictures
Ehh i dont know
I have a black build and the dust is attrocious
But you should take care of ur pc anyway
fair
Hey is 256gbs good for light gaming and web browsing?
For ssds 500gb will be a better shot and hardly any more money, 250gb is just paying for the physical ssd almost and not the amount of storage
Also 250gb kinda small
Ohh you mean in a laptop, i mean its a bit small but it will do most
Ok
Do I buy a 134$ refurbished z490 mobo or a 119$ b560 mobo
what cpu
I510600k
I'd go Z490 then
Why?
K is overclockable. B series also dont' have the best VRM to power the CPU
Z allows you to OC the CPU
Oc?
overclock
Oh thanks man
YW
I'd also pick up an aftermarket cooler for that CPU
the stock one isn't great
ID Cooling SSE 224 XT is $30 and will do well on a budget
I have one on my wifes PC
Scythe fuma preferably but if trying to save money gammaxx 400/vetroo v5/id cooling se 224xt whichever is cheapest
The cpu literally just sold out 😭
What about the 10600ka
The reason I’ve gone intel is because I don’t plan buying a gpu immediately
KA? Let me look, haven't seen that one before
Oh, the Marvel edition processor
Sure!
It is just the box no?
I would go 11400/11500 with b560 or 11600k and z590 then they have a better igpu
You get something avengerssy
And usually cheaper if in stock
Oh ok
quick q
just got my freezer II
im planning on putting in the front of my cas with tubes down
should i flip the fans for pulling air in?
i dont want it exhausting out of thre front of the case
If you cant top mount, yes but at front as intake
Question, I’m building a pc for my sister and she picked the nzxt h510i. Should I move the top mounted fan to the front for intake or is it good where it’s at? She will have a ryzen 5 3600x and gtx 1650 oc in the case.
Ehhh I'd leave as an exhaust as it's gonna be better at cooling that way cuz nzxt cases are ovens and there's hardly any air to be pulled in
Alright, I was just worried. I have the fans from my case before I put in my rgb fans. Should I put those in the front as intake or would that do no good?
I mean if you have them and they won't be used otherwise yeah
Alright then I will put them in
at this point should I just get a 1650?
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/jLd8t8 yo this setup if i plan to buy it at the end of next summer, is it good? and for that price should i wait to see what will come out like ddr5 ram or things like that?
i mean even next summer the setup will still be good
Make a list for next year well next year
doing it rn is stupid
as many people on here have already told you
multiple times
but its so cool to plan on a build
hopefully you understand this time
Then plan it on ur own. Dont waste anyone elses time except urs by asking us to take a look at it
I mean but you can use it as a baseline but it really wont carry over to next year
i mean some people also like to plan build or look at other's one, so if someone want to take a look they can? and if they dont want they can just ignore?
The thing is next summer half those parts will be stoopid to buy
Am5/ddr5 will be out
Better coolers/psus might come out
Etc
but cause they will be rly new they will also be expensive?
Pato Pato both of us have already told that to this guy multiple times
dont waste ur time
Well the cpu will be normal cpu price, ddr5 might be a bit expensive but meh
Yeah i aint that was all lol just explaining to them why lol
and is it even wroth it to wait like big sold, black Friday of next year to buy a computer or the price wont vary as much
mb then, i mean idk much about the fluctuation of component, some market have almost no sold on blackf friday and others big one
Big sales are nice
ya
hey do i need to be grounded when i take apart my laptop?
It doesn't hurt to do so, but it's not completely necessary
Depends on the model
No it wont
hey do i need to reaply thrmal paste if i take the cooler off?
Good to do so
so if i do9nt have any can i still use it?
For laptops I would really replace the thermal paste whenever you open it up tbh
same 4 desktops?
I would suggest reapplying thermal paste whenever the cpu cooler is removed
Desktops it's just easier to access, it's that laptops you only ever open them up so often, better to take every chance you have to replace the paste
It's also that you don't know how old the paste is from when the manufacturer placed the paste on
i o09rder somje but it wont come intil july 7
What'd you order from....
