Some PSU's have a temperature based fan like the GPU. There's a way to jump the PSU involving a paperclip and the ATX 24V connector

then I packed it up in a box with foam and drove 400 miles with it

I'm stupid so I forgot to test the case again with the known working board after unpacking it

so there is a chance that the case's front i/o panel got damaged during the drive

but considering nothing else got damaged I think that chance is low

I think it's 80% chance to be a defective motherboard

Question for everyone:
I took out the Intel M.2 NVME SSD Drive from my Alienware R11. I put it on my new motherboard aka the Asus Rog Strix 7490 E Gaming.

There is also a metal plate that was covering the N.2 Space. Since I don't have a screw to screw down the SSD drive that fits from the old Alienware, I used 1 of the 2 screws from the metal plate on my new motherboard. Does having that metal plate over the ssd drive help protect it??
