is it good to always turbo boost or only when I need to use it
CPU will turbo boost as it needs it
Why not boost
idk is it bad for the cpu for 24/7 boosting
oh hey gigabyte released a new bios for my mobo with agesa 1.2.0.2
No
No
wonder if my 5600x can do 1900 fclk now lol
oh okk
i am not looking forward to retuning my manual ram oc
though apparently secondaries/tertiaries usually don't need to be changed?
esp not moving from like 3733 to 3800?
i know my ram is capable of 3800c14 at 1.5v, cpu was not capable of 1900 fclk without WHEA hell on agesa 1.2.0.1
current settings
wish ryzen could tune tREFI
seeing mobo automatically set tREFI so low is sad
my laptop is running tREFI at 41.89ns stable
1900 fclk = 1900 WHEAs
ryzen desktop stuck at 7.8ns
lol true
from what i understand tREFI tuning can be huge for performance
something very wrong. I got a 3950x that doesnt go above 60c with a medium range AIO. Is your pump/block properly mounted, and has the protective plastic been removed from the bottom of the pump/block?
zen 3 runs a lot hotter than zen 2
and i'm talking about prime95 small ffts avx
if i had a bad mount/plastic still there it would be pinned 90C at idle lol
90c doesnt sound right man. Zen 3 supposed to be more power efficient than Zen 2
if i crank fans like an idiot at idle i can drop it down to like 30C
but damn... my 5600x with ryzen master auto oc only hits 65 max with 240 mm aio
under what load
this
cpu-z stress test isn't a very heavy load
what test do u run it under?
even my laptop handles it
idle doesnt matter too much tbh
prime95 small ffts avx
only load
idle temp matters when you want quiet system
just remove all the fans
cinebench r20 maxed out 80C with a really meme 1.4v OC
boom quiet system
https://linustechtips.com/topic/1280487-amd-5600x-high-temps/
dude running the STOCK cooler is getting 80c with prime.
I just built a new computer with an AMD 5600x, and right out of the box, it seems to be running hot. I am not exactly sure what the expected temps are though. my build is: R5 5600x Stock Wraith Cooler (Came with the CPU) Asus Prime B550M-A wifi MSI GTX 1660ti 16gb (2x8) G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3600...
your 90 with an 360 aio is not ok
let it run for 15 mins and see what it's at
this craptop got up to 88c transferring files off my phone 😎
Ok
lol my laptop will spike to 95C opening literally anything
before dropping back down
are you sure its a laptop and not a pizza oven ? 😆
it's running around 65C all core now with gpu mining spitting heat into the cooling
and like 15 firefox tabs open
it's an i7-10750H, basically an oven
but yeah the cpu and the gpu share the same cooler
and gpu has been at 100% load for the past 2 days straight
@snow wasp when i start the stress test it holds like 4.8ghz all core but after a couple of mins drops to 4.4-4.45 all core
couse turbo boost 🤔
It’s staying at 85 ish and all core 4.46
oh yeah i forgot to mention ambient temp is like 25C
Yea I expect that with all the fans u got 😂
cali is hot
It’s starting to get hot here in nyc too
hmm my 10700k hit 75C on all core 4.7ghz 🤔
last summer AC broke in the middle of a heat wave
But def not as hot as Cali
Heard your fire season is starting earlier. hope its not as bad as last year
and omg why the heck 10700k eating 200w power 😂
had a 10700k at 5.1 slamming against 100C all core lol
300W cpu power
the 360 aio i put on it was rated for 280W
INTEL!
4.7ghz all core it consuming about 200w 🤔
it's kind of funny seeing an 8 core cpu use 300W
intel is best

and that was only at 1.35v
let me mess with overclock lol its fun
https://hwbot.org/submission/4710415_sips_bleach_seductively_cpu_frequency_core_i7_10700k_5502.7_mhz
see if you can beat mine
highest 10700K on ambient cooling
the 3 higher are all sub ambient 😛
"ambient cooling"?
Weak
third place is using phase change cooling
second place is using chilled water
first place is using LN2
delicious
nope . it slowing down to 4.7 couse thermal ig or power
ambient cooling being a cooling solution you could actually run daily @tight sorrel
air, aio, custom water (unchilled)
let me boost all fans to max and check again
called so because you cannot get your temps below ambient temp
ugh corsair fans loud as jet
sub-ambient cooling has some active element that reduces temps below the surrounding air (water chiller, liquid nitrogen, etc.)
liquid nitrogen cooling would be cool lol but I just have h110 😂
such as this lovely 6.7ghz 11900K
damn
running at 1.981V lol
honestly, thats the neatest ln2 I ever seen 😆
eh it hit 5ghz but then slowing down to 4.7 again
They should have just done 2v
Jeeez you must have won the silicon lottery or did you buy it pre binned?
not my build tho
Been around 15 min
i like running hwbot benches on builds before i send them off to their customers
Still though finding such a high quality bin just like that is pretty lucky
Running 4.47😂
alright . stabled it to all core 4.8 with about 75c 🤔
it was still a good bin
Ah the plot thickens
Yeah that's true
mine hits 5ghz but then slowing down to 4.7 🤔
that's normal when not overclocking
@snow wasp what are your ambient temps? i used to live in brooklyn it snowed in april
very hostile environment for native californian
💀
No snow in late spring this time around but I get around 35 idle
ambient as in room temperature
mine fluctuates between 85-90 with ambient temp of 25C
anyways overclocking is eh . I'll leave it alone
so 60-65C ΔT over ambient
overclocking is fun
hitting the 5ghz magic number is fun
i got 5ghz on my laptop that was a gamer moment
Simple move to alaska better ambient temps
Lol
yeah its fun but still
ill leave it alone lol
I prefer get better cpu than overclocking it lol
10700k on stock freq is very enough to me . usually working under 40-70% load
lol
true just get a locked celeron
omg you reminded me those days
"celeron".. now thats a name I have not heard in a long time...
there was celeron and pentium cpus xd
and I had core 2 duo cpu with 1gb of ram and 512mb gpu lmao
well there are still new pentiums and celerons
what does they do lol
suck.
can they play music at least ? xd
since phones having 8 core or more cpus , its funny dual core cpu on pc
Can anyone help me? I need 6 budget white rgb fans
rgb or argb
What’s the difference e
rgb can do simple colour shifts, argb can do complex animations
rgb fans will be much cheaper
Also voltage differences
Honestly hard to find rgb fans now a days
everything @muted patio said
lmao
"power"
2x 3090 with celeron...
😉
bottleneck god here 😂
celeron under a custom loop with a TEC cooler
What are some argb fans
lol.. the processor is the CHEAPEST thing on your list.. even cheaper than a resevoir!
i ought to build it
let that sink in. a processor thats cheaper, than a plastic tube
a celeron needs a 560 rad and a 480 rad right?
i actually didn't even know 560 rads existed

yes. 100% corrrect. anyone that says different is a commie spy
look at the antec prizm. very budget
560mm rad that's 40mm thick without fans
crazy
wait i forgot to add fans to this
lmao
that should keep an 11900k below 110c
just barely
now I REALLY want you to build it.
rip
everything bottlenecks everything
Anyone ever have cable extensions that dont work?
Probably not if playing at 1440p
Which really you should be with a 3080
A 3080 for 1080p
got what in sli
Trolling btw
Jiggled the 24 pin a little and it came on after a few presses but i dont think that was the issue
24 pins a pain in the ass to get out tbh
fr every time i do i feel like im gonna snap the board in half
Death to 24pin
the 8 pin eps is worse
i ended up saying screw it and taking the whole top of my case off (which i didnt know i could do until i saw screws) to put the new sleeved cable in
heh get it
screw it
wrong link
ok
Get an i5 11400 and b560 board with a gammaxx 400 cooler
i have 2 outtake and 4 intake fans should i make it 3 and 3 or is it ok
Slightly positive pressure keeps the dust out. Unless you're running into temp issues, leave it the way it is is fine
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sw4kZZ
rate thine build
Get an sn550 for that price instead of mp33 and I'd swap the cooler gammaxx 400, vetroo v5 or id cooling se 224xt
👍
24 pin do be scary
Just migrated to a larger case and felt like I was finna break the damn mobo in half
Same lol
watched reviews for both p360a and p400a and p400a is just a better option
while still being cheaper
i didnt mean cheaper than the p360 a
i like the full size glass
@neat marten ahh daisy chained gpu connectors
hows that daisy chained?
thats how pcie cables look lol
ye thats normal
Optimally you should use separate ones
nah
But just realized it’s a gtx card
I swear I’m not crazy and that I’ve heard this, that one cable can only take so much wattage so on higher end cards it’s better to use two separate psu cables
👌
@earnest olive plz tell
is the shape it makes
depends on the card and the psu
official spec is 150W per cable
but high quality power supplies will have overbuilt cables that can deliver more than spec
Is 650w good for a 3070?
they wouldn't be putting daisy chains on high quality units if you weren't meant to be able to use them
what cpu?
R5 3600
It’s doable but optimally 750w
my 3080 has no problem running full 370W off of a single cable
would i recommend doing it? no
Alr thx I will not be OC
is it the end of the world? if you're not having issues, no
Alr thx guys
and that dudes is a GTX
3060ti only having a single 8 pin
meaning it doesnt prolly pull that much power
Yeah it pushes 250 watts
250W is only a 25W overdraw over official spec
think i should run a seperate run eh?
psu's last legs
My PSU is a brand new corsair 750 watt
it is technically better to not daisy chain if you can avoid it
btw hows everyone doing tonight?
but it's not a big deal
yeah I have a corsair txm 750
no problem running a 3080 on daisy chain
XD
I run 2 cables anyways but was testing out of curiosity
Probably close to same power consumption
370 watts?
Jesus!!!!
I thought after Maxwell cards would get more efficient!!!!!
they are
Thats a whole lotta heat to dissapate as well
if you knocked down a 3080 to 980ti perf it would barely break a sweat
Yeah i get what your sayin there
could probably keep pace with a 980ti using like 100 watts
that makes sense and the 980ti would still be pulling in effect 200
so thats 2x effic
980ti is similar perf to a 1660 super which tends to draw around 120 watts and is on an older arch
980ti official tdp is 250w I'm sure you can make it draw more
Crazy how these gpus evolve
1080ti official tdp is 250W but I had it overclocked to 375W
my whole sys can draw 500 watts with OC 5600x and GTX Titan X
Thats alot of watts lol
what kinda cooling setup ya got?
Thats crazy as hell
was not actually running them both at full power though lol
Not recomended anyway lol
that image answers your question about my cooling setup though
I wanna get a 3060. Yeah rockin the air setup lol
im surprised you could get that perf on air
I need at least a 3060....i dont wanna downgrade on the vram
More vram doesn’t always mean better
nice build tho for sure
i mean he's got a titan he probably does ML/renders or something
True
3080ti has 12gb as well
Would a 3060 out perform a titan in renders tho
True lol
OOOoooo all the Nvidia skus......
if you are running vram intensive workload you could also look at AMD side
rx 6800, 6800xt, and 6900xt all got 16gb
Thats deff my upgrade path....6800 or 3060
i don't think a 3060 is a great upgrade from a 980ti
yeah it's only like 30% better in gaming
3060 kinda sucks
it's identical to 2060 super in gaming performance
I had no clue....i thought it would be a bigger perf bump
3060 is the black sheep of ampere
yeah thats not a huge increase lol
3060ti is like 30% better than 3060
if this card will last i may wait or go Amd I dont need all the rtx crap
8gb is enough for 1440p and 4K now and will be enough for 1440p for the foreseeable future
rtx 3070 will go obsolete before 8gb vram does
same with rtx 3080 and 10gb
right right
but yeah 3060 bad
not big enough upgrade from titan x
get 3060ti or rx 6700xt minimum
I deff agree
My thing tho is my monitor right now is only 1080p lol I would like to have a spare care in case this one bites the dust lol
a spare cheap card lol
I used to have a 1440p monitor
I was doing 4k gaming when the 980ti was coming into market
would you do 4k on a 1660 super
Had trouble maintaining 60fps tho at 4k
yea 😔
people seem to get okay results going up to like 1440p with some 1080p cards like that
In triple A titles my old ass card still holds its own at 1440 and obviously 1080p
I used to have a GTX 970 and it was good at 1440 as well
my friend uses an rx 480 at 1440p
works for them I guess
I'll stick with 1080p with my 970
I wanna get a high refresh 1080p or 1440p and need a gpu that will do 144 hz
I'm stuck with sub 30 fps
damn what are you playing that pushes the 970 below 1080p30
nothing
Yeah right?
i had one game that pushed my old 1060 6gb below 30 fps at 1080p ultra
You should be able to play almost anything @1080 p with a 970 lol
Dayumm lol
I think most of what I'll play is mc with shaders, assetto, wt, and probably forza if I ever get that
some gtav mayb
I used to run GTA 5 on a 970 with everything on high 60 fps 1440
ez game to run p much
I'll also have gta sa, nfs world, nfs underground in there too so not all graphically demanding stuff
might even play cities skylines
Should be a pretty decent experience
I'm excited
gotta remember that gta 5 was made to run on the ps3
yea
ps3 gpu is a slightly overclocked 7800 GTX
very small gpu
non unified shaders
an okay amount of rops tho which my gt 730 does not have
got like 8 rops
according to passmark the gtx 970 has 4381% of the performance of the 7800GTX
so...
that thing should 4k all day ;^P
xd
if the game is designed to run on a 7800 GTX it'll run great on a gpu that's 44 times stronger
XD
as for the ps3 cpu it's really hard to compare because it's not at all similar to any normal pc hardware
Bout to rip in some dirt rally 2.0 you guys have a good one
you too
add me if you would like
:)
7thitty
what cpu paired with it?
4790
the 730 is on the 4790, and the 970 is currently on a Phenom II 955
which is

4790 + 970 not bad
my friend just gave me a killer deal on her old 4770k + 16gb ddr3-2133 + z87 maximus hero for $110 shipped
probably going to pair it with a 1060 or something like that
1650S or RX 580 perhaps
nice
my thought process went rx 590? no...rx 580? no...gtx 1650s? yea...oh they don't exist anymore...sad...oh this article says 970s are cheap on ebay...gtx 970 ✅
how much did you spend on it?
195 plus tax
not bad
i chose a gtx 970 for gf's first pc
a bit overkill for the games she plays but the price was right
180 shipped for a strix
nice
r/hardwareswap tends to be a bit cheaper than ebay
mine's an asus oem card, black slab cooler shroud
need 3090
didn't know asus made oem cards
they don't seem to list it anywhere which is iffy
ah yes you're right 3090 is reasonable for her league of legends and genshin impact
but II plugged it in and it ran properly, true 970
need that RTX to play LOL correctly
gotta trace all dem rays
which ones
ray traced leona ult
that one ⬇️ or that one ➿ or this one 📈
yes
😭
how do i get epic 30 series
newegg shuffle
any recommendations on a good 750W psu, on the cheaper side?
yeah thats a good price point
ye
thanks
My wife
Lol
I'm still happy with my EVGA 3060. It's gonna be a jump up over the aging laptop 1060 I've been gaming on. And hey, I got it just under 400 bucks.
nice
I was lucky to get one of their 3070s, great card
I won the Newegg shuffle a couple of weeks back
I have a friend who entered the evga queue for every card on day 1, he got himself a 3080ftw3 and is just passing along the deal for the rest
I entered the queue a little late but I'll probably do the same
Also, had a weird question. Would it be okay to just use the same SATA power cable to run both the one hard drive and the fan hub for my case fans? Or do I need to go ahead and plug in two to the PSU?
Your SATA power cable has multiple connection points on the same cable yeah? It'll be fine, as most SATA power cables are designed to power more than one thing like a hard drive
The good ones that come with psus (usually) are able to at least, I dunno about some ketchup and mustard cable you can find cheap on Amazon
my Lenovo CH81m has an output on the board next to the 14 pin board power that goes to the hard drives
cable that came with it had like 3 connections
wild
Hey can someone can answer my question? I will soon get a rtx 3080 and I was wondering what brand and model should I get
@little osprey doesnt realy matter tbh ,you can always put thermal pads if the vram gets too hot . Just get whatever in stock
If you can choose i would get the ftw3 or strix
Well do u want me to show you my options ?
Yeah
Ok I will screenshot and I will send them
I have €1030 and I think my budget is €1350 with is the auros master
Yeah but they are the cheapest in market
But if you will get it anyway i would get the msi ventus one for 1300
But don’t worry I would get the money back lots of tournament with price bulls are happening
The strix is the best but 200 more euros not worth it..
What about the auros master ? I think is around my budget plus I heard is pretty good
Is that the water cooled one?
The air cooled one has some vram issues i think
Yeah but I think they fixed it
Need to research it if they did its a good one i guess
If they fixed the thermal pads issue it should be good yeah
Just look into it before buying
Soo master it is ?
Just get whatever card you can get for the cheapest they all perform within 1 or 2%
As long as it isn’t zotac or gigabyte but gigabyte is more of a personal issue
Their RMA process is horrible
Sent a card to them 6 times and they still haven’t repaired it
No it really doesn't matter which one
If it's a 3080 and want to mine with gigabyte or zotac, they will want to add/replace thermal pads but just whichever you can get at cheapest
zotac forgetting thermal pads lol
Zotac is literally zotac
zotac: it just worx
so what youre saying is... Zotac got some QC issues? Am I gertting this right?
I accidentally put it I was gonna type sum on the search bar but I put that I meant to type Zotac sucks
zotac amp holo series good actually but you definitely need check thermal pads if you buy zotac card . sometimes they forgetting some thermal pads lol
I can confirm that switching thermalpads on zotac gtx 1080 ti mini helped with thermals and sound levels bc it comes with crappy ones out of the factory
yeah
ugh amd drivers really sux
why the heck driver crashing when I switch game monitor 1 to monitor 2
P360A
Cougar MX330 or Metallic Gear Neo Air
A wireless module to connect to your router
Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (Gig+) quick reference guide including specifications, features, pricing, compatibility, design documentation, ordering codes, spec codes and more.
mx330-g air to be specific
It'll depend on the interface. Some motherboards will have the needed slot for the module, others will need a pci adapter.
Because intel makes it
It depends on your ISP speed though
That's not ISP speed
I'm pretty sure the dark hero comes with the wifi module built in
But isn’t Ethernet better
Depends
Sometimes
Does it matter on my router
Because I need to get a new one
I need to get a router of 1500square feet
If your wifi connection speed reported by windows exceeds your isp speed rating it should be the same speed wired and wireless.
Exactly. Ethernet speeds won't do you any good if your internet speed is only 200 MB/s
Then it won't matter, and unless you need every ms of latency you can use wireless just fine
So at that point, ethernet won't make it any faster. WiFi should be fine depending on signal strength
I meant wouldn’t I get packet loss
Only in extreme cases or very old routers
Just means your WiFi is bad. I get 0 packet loss
And I get 0%
Ohh
But I think it’s my router
Because I get 80 speed when my plan is 100
Need to do a ping test
Ok
see where the packet loss is
But should I get a new router
Tracert time
How
Not without knowing where the issue is
idk
Also
Mine disconnects in middle of me playing because it says dns servers can’t be found
Kr something like that
That's your isp for that issue
How do I fix that
loss
Can’t rn
Then do it later
I am in school lol
You can manually set to the Google dns and you shouldn't have the dns issue any more
Maybe

Ok
Wait guys another thing
When I build my pc I am going to build but I won’t have a gpu is that ok but won’t turn it on
Like should I mount the aio
And screw the pump
It won't boot unless you have a gpu or your processor has a built in gpu
Yo shouldn't buy anything until you have a GPU
Warranties and return periods are ticking away
Get a GPU then buy the other parts that are accessible
Oh I already got everything
I mean I do that’s an 1050ti
Then leave it in the boxes until you're ready to build
That'll work to get it built and tested at least
I am using it in my old build rn
Wait if I screw in My pump will anything happen to the thermal paste
If I don’t use my pc at all
No it's shelf stable, you could leave it in the box for a year and it would still be usable. It's fine being attached and unused the same way.
What about it being attached and not being used for a year
That's fine too. It'll start to dry out eventually but that takes years
If you're not going to use it for a year send it back XD
No I will I was making up an example
Also
Do I have to replace the thermal paste
After being used a lot
Or no
You'll start to notice the temperature being higher than usual for the time of year and cleaning the fans and radiator don't help
Yeah you just wipe off the old paste with 90% isopropyl alcohol
And then put new paste
That applies to air coolers too, and gpu
How do I do it on a gpu
Lower end stuff like your 1050 ti it won't make much difference on since it doesn't run hot anyway
But you can unscrew the heatsink on a gpu and wipe /repaste the same way as a cpu
Ok
If it was a 1080 ti it might be time to replace the paste by now
Wait so will 1050ti work for now
Or I might just plug it in for now
Get windows all that and take it out
And put it my old system
Yeah you can do 1080p medium - high gaming on a 1050 ti still
011 is a bad case IMO, airflow is so gross
Because it looks cool when you fill all the fan slots with rgb
I mean 9 fans though
bad airflow tho
Yah
Can't balance it
Probably not, it's just not ideal
Run the exhaust fans faster than the intake
Because air will be imbalanced and not move
- That would be very loud and annoying
- It won't move air as effectively
9 intake front and bottom
6
So what should I put the fan speed for intake and exhaust
If you have 3 intake and 3 exhaust, they can be equal speeds. If you have radiators on your intake, you can have one or two more intake and have it be pretty balanced still. Any more unbalanced than that, you'll need to play with it to see what the best settings are.
6 intake and 3 exhaust through radiator? Not ideal by any stretch.
You'd probably need to run the exhaust near max speed constantly
Not like 3 exhaust on radio rn
And rest are intake from bottom and front
Or is that not good
You could front mount the radiator as an intake and it would help a little
I have 011
Let me try the packet thing
Wtf is this
Guys
It just says replying from 1.1.1.1
Than it says bytes= time= and TTL=
mmmhmmm
Ummmmm
Wait for the 100 pings to go through and it will tell you at the end how many were lost
Ok
Along with min /max /average stats
Doesn't matter, ping packets are teeny tiny
I am download something
Updating
And that’s what I says lol
Ok I got the results
Now what
Did it report any packet loss?
Is says lost=o (0% loss)
Good
But than why does it kick me out of my games
SOuth America ya?
Latency probably, that can be router, isp, or even game server
Probs game server
Often yeah
If on East and playing on West for example
If it's a CoD server there's not really a way to fix that lol
Let me try to find it and send itn
Another shuffle! https://www.newegg.com/product-shuffle
Use one or the other
no 3090 today 🤔
When I am connect to the Ethernet
Nothing loads
That’s why I have to be connect to and the one too why is that
Tuf 3060 looks good BUT I DONT NEED A MOBO
Disable wifi and Restart the computer and it might fix the ethernet connection
I don’t that’s everyday
Lol
I do
I meant
When I did this I loaded right away
Can confirm, tuf 3060 is good. That cooler is WAY overbuilt
It didn't go over 40% fan doing stress testing
Yea only 2 fans needed right? That’s y I’m just gonna stay away from it and try to get a 3070 off Amazon alerts
$630 for a evga 3070
More fans isn't a bad thing lol, it'll stay nice and cool
Just go to Taiwan lol
It's just a bit longer than the average 3060
That’s y I want a 3 fan card so I can have piece of mind that my freaking house won’t blow up
I play warzone
A pretty heavy game
3070 has more risk of overheating depending on which model you get. A few brands put no thermal pads on the VRAM.
Which is easy to fix of course, you just have to take it apart and add more
Do you know evga? I
I have one, it's fine
Thx
Yeah iirc they put a few pads, but not the best. Still sufficient for gaming, not so much mining.
That’s the one I wanna get
Anecdotal reports of course, different people will have different results
so.. front usb on this pc. one of the ports is badly damaged, the other is fine. the wire to plug them in is separate for each port but they connect at the base of the wire where you plug it in. plugging them in causes "usb device over current status detected"
exactly how dangerous would it be to just cut off the one wire leading to the dead port

Just don't cross the wires and you're fine
A little electrical tape on the end after you snip the cable will make sure it doesn't short
imagine this wire heads to the front IO
snipping the bad one fine with electric tape
got it
now to find my electric tape.
Best to snip at the point where the wire splits off to the port
Make sure if there's multiple wires inside the sleeve, the ends don't touch
got it thanks
Hey guys so I will have may softwares for my rgb is there a way I can connect all of them so like the rgb sync together
You can try openrgb but it might not work for everything
Anythib else
The different softwares are kind of designed not to cooperate with each other lol
everything appears to be working thanks
will update if i blow up

Sounds like you need to change your friend not ip :/
Most ISPs do dynamic, shared IP anyway
whats a good 1k pc
Funny
Prebuilt or parts list?
I have a AMD Ryzen 3600 and a RX 5500 XT put onto a ASUS ROG B550-F Gaming Motherboard.
It can get 120 FPS on medium graphics in stuff like warzone and some other newer games.
Thats an okay pc but would not recommend that for someone trying to buy atm
No, definitely not. I got lucky and bought a pre-built and upgraded with parts that I was working on from a different PC.
Ehh I'll see what i can do but 1k is a bit ehhh also it's very hard to get gpus atm
I c
A 650 should be able to play Subnautica.
GTX 650*
Put with maybe a AMD 3 1200 or so.
On maybe medium settings.
He could put a 3600
Ehh I'd recommend an i5 11500 and waiting on getting a gpu
That would put things in play especially for a few better games.
I am just recommending something you can still get for cheap.
Well, cheaper.
He has 1k budget
Ahh
Okay
Didn't see budget.
A Ryzen 5 3600 would be perfect.
That's what I have.
Intel 10400F is cheaper and more FPS in games. 😉
Yes
And then wait on a GPU or get a 1650 to settle on for now. Like $350-$400 on New Egg.
Intel 10400F/B560 motherboard and DDR4 3200 ram
Ah we at microcenter rn
R5 3600 is like 220 now at that price you can get an i5 11500 and use that till you actually get a gpu
or regular 10400 if it's cheaper
He says that k is better than f
Fair.
Nope to that link. Anyways, normal 10400 is 165 USD
Dang, really???
No cooler
Now I regret getting an ASUS B550-F
What mobo could go with a 10600k
Oh, okay. That is the down fall. You want a cooler none the less.
K series should be Z490 or 590
Would b450 be good enough
Ah then what mobo
Yeah, AMD is better for processing some things, but I think Intel would be better for rendering games.
Depends on the budget TBH
I dont c it at microcenter rip
@misty heron https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mXgjMv that's what I'd do, use the i5s integrated graphics till they can fine a 3060 or 3060 ti founders edition
The cheapest one you can get
I would have to go to Georgia if I wanted to buy something from Microcenter.
Should prob put a better psu
Segotep is good
ik but 600w
That's all you need for 3060/3060 ti
yeah but they might upgrade
Yeah, I recommend a 750W PSU
That's all they need, 650w psus are now near 80$
No 600w us fine
I know, but I mean if they're going to upgrade later.
They'll be fine
Idk their situation
You can barely find a gpu for 400
I can't say anything though. I got a 550W lmao
A good 650W can even handle a 3070 (not overclocking)
Hopefully by December this stupid shortage will be over.
Best off spending every cent getting a gpu rather than future proofing their psu
December 2022 maybe
Yep
Exactly
40 series will be just coming out
It won't be worth the time of waiting then lol
They'll have the new 5nm fabs running then
Hence the i5 11500
Yeah, I hope it won't be like this year
In case they can't get gpu for 400
I am out of my budget now so I can't get another Processor.
Ok so he said he would use an amd
Okay
Not for you lol
3600 and a b450 should be fine
That's a lot worse than the intel chip and more expensive
Lol
Is it?? Awe dang
And no onbard graphics to use until you get a gpu
11500 and B560 MB maybe?
That's what i put in their list yeah
Intel is the bang for buck budget option these days
Compared to 3600 at same price point INtel spanks em
I am going to save up $900 and just get a 40 series when they come out.
I dont c a 11500
rtx 4010
Sounds pog
Are you only looking at micro center?
If you refuse to buy stuff online then get 11400
You can only get from online
If you can wait, that's your best move
Good luck, they don't have any in store either
Ah they dont
Only online
They don't stock them in store, very small chance someone returned one
I can wait, I am happy with my RX 5500 XT because it is still doing me good and I don't see a point of any upgrade.
Yeah that's a decent 1080p card for now
Yeah if they knew anything they would have sold for 2x what they got it lol
It can get 1440P
In some games sure but try running CoD lol
50-60 fps
And it plays fortnite at 60 FPS in 1440]
Fortnite is more cpu bound
