uhh
what

Yeah asrock is kinda wack, I’d go with asus just cause it’s bios isn’t cursed
your first list was good
smh
Oh lol
The motherboard is 90 usd more than the cpu
the ram is ugly and a micron rev e ballistix kit is 10 usd cheaper
the ssd is overpriced and doubt youd be using that performance
P12 are better value fans than the P
Segotep GP iirc had no OTP and poorly set OPP
as well as 11400 being a much better value cpu
Vetroo V5 being cheaper as well as featuring rgb
this is my pc
I have some too it’s from experience
no otp ?
i give up
No what
on the segotep unit. thats a gp600 right ?
650w gold
one of my buddies did testing on the GP600 and found no OTP and overset OPP (segotep claims to have these features tho)
Gp600 is non modular and 650w is fully modular
not sure what the platform on the 650W is like
Change the ram for ballistix 3600cl16 at that price
lol
It’s his build he already has made
Built
will that fit
oh ok
Same price
Ohh
If you've already bought stuff then dont bother
i’m just planning on upgrades. thinking SUPER far into the future. also JUST got this pc and it’s my first ever. i just live thinking of upgrades
lol
pc’s are 10x better than console
i’m so glad i got one
90 usd for 3200 is too much, that's the price you can get 3600 that's why he was saying to change
i didn’t buy it how it is rn
i got all those for $500 or sum
that’s why i was so excited to get that build
and then got a 1660
for a cheap price but don’t like to say lol
Don't bother thinking about upgrades for a while tbh, i saw in general that you said you had a 1660, keep that who knows what 4000 series pricing is gonna be like anyway
aight
but yeah, i got all my parts for $500 in yoga
total*
is that good for the build i have rn
and it’ll also last a while
aight
tt
Segotep has all the protections, don't worry
anyone know if 10100f can be pushed to 4.4+AC on a b560?
Cant oc on b560
or a non k cpu
Some mobos allow you to adjust voltages and stuff to get some OC
ahh
you can go to power or level 2
which is turbo mode essentially and push it to 160-180w
but as far as i know 11400f idk abot 10th gen
ohh unlock the stock voltages or whatever gotcah
its like the cost of a 212 and a 11400f or 10100f with that enabled vs a larger air cooler or big rad aio for a 5ghz 10600k
the price variation can go towards a faster gpu
11400f all the way
also 212 bad
if you were gonna get a cooler get a gammaxx 400, vetroo v5 or id cooling se 224xt
plus the lack of need for LLC tinkering or a titanium/plat psu for 12v performance since i wont be max oc on a k cpu
the ID looks nice
i tend to forget the upwards of 200$ ram kits for 5ghz ocs too...
just cut that all and put it towards a steup up in gpu
yup 10100 is hardly worth looking at anyway because its so close to the 10400 anyway
true and the "it wont hurt" to have a few more corse, when it hurts with 4c if i drop to a lower res than 4k or try to run high refresh etc
the 11400 will be better for that
as the system ages
I need uh.. help
Got a computer from a friend and it won't post. It was posting, then after I plugged in the front usb header it stopped
Now it no longer posts at all, removed the video card, cleared the cmos, pretty much all help desk solutions are covered
Lol yes
All fans spin and the mobo light is on and it doesn't turn off
It just doesn't show video
No beeps, nothing indicating something is wrong
cable connected to the gpu and not mobo?
does it perhaps have an igpu-video out
Yeah tried removing it and using the on board video without it
On board it has an hdmi and vga
On board hdmi also shows nothing
Side note it was posting fine before the usb header thing
I was getting in the bios fine before plugging it in
Now I get no video
Even after removing the header
checked the mb 4/8 pin and 24 pin etc
what parts
try reseat ram
Everything is plugged correctly yeah
1 stick only and reset cmos
I can do this one sec, only tried cmos reset with 2 sticks
check if they have a chanel 1/a etc for priority
what cpu, what board, what sticks, what case, what gpu?
1050 ti, i5 5700, mobo is a asus h110m-e
5700..?
Dunno haven't taken off the cpu cooler that's just what I was told
O you bought it used?
there's 5700hq and such laptop chips but don't think a desktop chip exists
its like a x99 or somethin
It was their old prebuilt they didn't need anymore because they got a new one
for 5xxx
There's a ryzen 5700 lol
But intel bboard
was talking about this
at least the board inst a prebuilt oem
but anyways
Ye
Going by ark, it has to be at least 5th or 6th gen
@supple gale Maybe it's an i5 7500?
that could be it
the gpu is pretty decent too
makes a bit more sense
still removing the cmos with 1 stick, damn battery is under the gpu
im guessing 6500 i5
i'd be able to confirm if i could get in the bios lol
It's ddr4
^
doesn't seem to have a preferred slot
bc "upgrades" lul
nah the guy it came from is physically disabled and knows literally nothing about computers
he wouldn't be able to upgrade the ram if he tried
wacky
perhaps he took it in somwhere
like he had one of those special controllers because of how little he can physically move
or a local kid suped itup
@supple gale also, what usb connector did you plug into which header?
doesn't matter too much but
does the chassis have 3.0 headers
yeah
idk if that even matters
no debug led but eh
well, 1 now because the other looks like it was chewed up
tried jumping it via the front io headers?
cmos cleared, 1 stick in about to try to boot
honestly i don't even care if they're plugged in
..?
the cable was just hanging so i said screw it and plugged it in and then the whole thing stopped working
which one
no display sorry
So it turns on, but no display?
all fans spin and it just stays on after boot
whee
You got any extra thermal paste?
Might be worth re-seating CPU and just checking what CPU it is
well it was posting before i tried pluggin in the header so i don't think it'd be that(regardless i don't have any laying around atm)
who builds a motherboard with led/beep noises for diagnosing
might as well re-seat GPU then, and reseat cmos again, this time for longer, making sure it's unplugged from wall and such
i didn't even replug in the gpu yet
uh
trying to boot off the on board hdmi
do you even know if whatever chip is in there even has an iGPU?
it should
i can try the gpu again anyway
but im not holding my breath lol
apparently it was working 100% fine before it left the guys house
all they did was remove his c drive with his data on it
Do you have a drive currently installed?
and it did post when i first got it, just not after attempting to attach the usb
uhhh
yeah there's an ssd in there
assuming it was the backup drive or something
oh well, unplug from wall, reset cmos for 5 minutes just in case, and after the battery has been out for 5 minutes, try installing GPU and boot again
Best cpu to get in a 1200-1300 budget? Can go a little more
ps5
Like a 12-1300 dollar build or 12-1300 dollar cpu?
Also depends on what you wanna do with it... Gaming, rendering, editing...
Prob 11400 then
Uhh I'd say 10700 would be easily doable
That too
If you live near microcenter 10850 may be on sale
Was just about to say that lol
Ye lol
I wouldn't go 11400 tho
For all of that
If just gaming then ye but for like all that productivity I'd go for more cores
But I mean for editing and all that
I'd go for 10700 at least
Especially with that budget
263.99 for a 10700f rn
it posted...
Dang how'd you get it to post?
i swapped the sticks of ram.
Nice
Until they work
Then u love them
and i think i found the issue with the computer
Is it ram?
Oof
do they make processers for a 11 year old laptop? btw its a hp ProBook6450b
Is the i5 11400 more worth it than the i5 10600k? I'm working on a budget pc build and I can't decide which one I want
No just buy a new laptops
The 11400 should be cheaper than the 10600k well depending on region but you'll need a z board to actually overclock the 10600k
The big difference is just that you can overclock 10600k, where you can't overclock a 11400... Depends if you want to overclock and pricing at time of purchase
i7 10700k and z490e asus with rtx 3070 good or not
yes but 10700k and z490 if youre buying no isnt great but if you already have yes
do u mean not good because theres a new gen ?
I mean just value wise it's not the best
i mean its not good value to buy atm
Not just because of next gen
if u have the money buy it
thats new
is it just for gaming?
Bruh
then why do you need a 3070
Then why
it has a nice name
and i5 11400 and a b560 motherboard with onbaord graphics
bruh
get a gt 1030
I'd go 11500 is no dgpu
For long term
dude minecraft on a 3070 is better
well yeah but its minecraft and watching bids
get a 3060 instead tbh
already have the 3070
I mean 11500 will run mc fine if no shaders and stuff
well then i guess thats okay
what have you already purchased
and when i use it i turn on cocomelon or baby shark for my little brother
last time i played mine was 4 weeks ago
but its cool to have a 3070 for baby shark
waste of time
I mean like 50 bucks over msrp local selling would make someone's day
Like craigslist or sumthin
im in saudi arabia dont have craiglist
O
are you just asking if you have a good pc or if you should get a 10700k
becuase if youre asking if its good yes
yeah just asking
waste of moneys
ebay fb marketplace?
lmao my pc is my little brothers now
fair
i have it but its so hard to sell and buy from ebay saudi
lol my dad uses his pc for like 95% zoom and stuff, it has a 2080ti in it i got used for hella good price xD
nice
damn zoom 2080 ti
i just said because they said waste of time lol
literally same perf as a 2080 ti for baby shark ulol
so its sorta a waste
my bro and ur dad should be friends
cringe
😐
My main build runs a 650w fine without oc but might not be a bad idea
thats why i said prob
looks fine
but ye id prolly step up psu a bit if it was my personal rig
id go 700 prolly
but itll run fine on that one most likely
ballistix ram is 10$ cheaper and for a 3070 needs 650w min
bruhhhhh
legit read what he said
"Going to sell it"
meaning he already has those parts
ohh didnt see
prices have changed on rip 5
Try to make enough profit to keep doing this again and again
and i bet that build will run fine but in future id def step up wattage
id go for a 700w tbh
Yup
segotep makes one
:O
nice and short
Impressive
Yes, I do not plan on getting a z board but I can get the 10600k for much cheaper than msrp and it has a very good base clock at 4.1, much better than that of the 11400 at 2.9, but I can get the 11400 for 30 dollars cheaper which is where my predicament comes in, I am leaning owards the 10600k though.
What's the price diff?
id say 11400 is the way to go tbh
he legit said it lol
"but I can get the 11400 for 30 dollars cheaper"
ye
poop
is it smart to mix match ram if they have different specs
have 2 sticks rn and dont want to put the 2 new different sticks in
It will all run at the slowest speed and timings of whatever is installed
SHOULD boot but sometimes won't
Reason: Bad word usage
whoops
Correct
Installing faster ram with slower ram will do nothing for speed
only amount
alright yeah im not in any dire shortage of it
Wouldn't recommend but i have done but it was same brand same die only thing that was different was 1 stick was 3000 and one was 3200
yeah i dont think the ones id be putting in are any good whatsoever lol
For my friends build what's the lesser of two evils antec 430 watt or diablotek 450 watt free is free I know bad idea he's broke and that's all I have in donation bin
was sara banned too?
A couple weeks ago
Well can they really not pay 50 for a segotep 600w or something?
Tbh 430w would be okay if it's just an igpu system, I've never hsystems diablotek
Antec over the Diablotek
evga br 450
diablotek bombsPSUs > everything
diablotek more like diablowtek
im so confused
"non modular cable design"
the fully modular cable design allows use of-
According to pc part picker everything runs fine on 350 watt z97 mobo, it 4790k and gtx 460 so should be fine power requirement wise
GTX460?
They're not gonna try and game on that are they?
It only has 1 GB VRAM......
might as well play on integrated graphics
Would actually be better
Not if you have like intel 2th gen or something right
2th?
it's a 4790k
SHould be able to have at least 2 GB VRAM in BIOS
so things are playable
4790k is what I used for like 5 years
My siblings still use it
Can run Minecraft and csgo if you don’t mind crazy frame drops
That's very old jeez, but pc part picker doesnt account for boost clocks btw just tdp
@blazing aurora I gamed on this 460 for a year when I get my hands on new he gets old free or $20 because that's all people here said it's worth I just played la noir and he will just play gta v and maybe mine craft
gtx 460 gets pooped on by passively cooled gt 1030 meant for office pc
it's a 150w web browsing gpu
not sure how it stacks up against the i7-4790k igpu
Building a pc for a friend and after plugging in case fans, they turn on for like 1 second and turn straight off
And can’t seem to find the pins to the cpu for some reason
does the system boot
CPU isn’t plugged in lol
well
can’t find the pins for it
Normally top right of MB or near CPU socket
It’s a semi mod psu
CPU power isn't plugged in?
Yea I found where it goes but can’t find the wire on the psu
We talking CPU, CPU fan or CPU power?
semi modular psus basically always have cpu power cable preinstalled
Right
what psu is this
yeah it's with the 24 pin ATX connector hard wired
It's not solid 8 pin though
It's 4+4
Sea sonic 650w
There's no 4+4 cable?
Oh 4+4 doesn’t fit tho
Ye
WAIT
lol
👽
there's a clip that prevents you from plugging it in the wrong way
also, where should the cpu fan cable be connected to?
but it's just the fans turning on right
oh welp mbmb
system turns off
it's like asking why your baby won't drool on itself after you remove its brain
LOL
cpu is literally its brain
alr
Should I place my NZXT Z73 radiator hoses at the bottom of the front panel or top of the front panel in the Lian Li Lancool 2?
Bottom if possible
And also, remove this black plate here, put my radiator behind the bracket and put the fans infront the bracket where my current fans are? Or should I mount the fans onto the radiator and put both behind?
If they wont reach top is fine.
Okay thanks!
So sandwhich the brackets? I heard someone say closer to radiator the better but then it'll look awkward with everything being on the back side of the bracket.
Oh yeah for sure 😂
Sandwich is fine
Thanks!
YW
About to upgrade my 3600 to the 5600x and putting on the NZXT Z73 one time
And was running for 30 minutes
How long do I have to unplug everything lay the case down etc before the thermal paste cools again? I really don't want to pull it out of the socket.
You want thebpaste hot so the quicker the better. Twist cooler off before pulling. And above allbelse update your bios before you install the new cpu!!!
Oh yeah I updated it last week 😂 the funny-not so funny thing is that the power went out a couple hours after.
i have an igpu
Well, that's an issue then.........
uhh
brand new build? What cpu
VGA means no GPU detected and Boot means no boot device detected. What motherboard is this
asus tuf b560m
You're SURE both 4 pin power plugs for CPU are fully seated? You've got a monitor plugged into the HDMI or DP port?
yess wait lemme c the cpu
ok so the vga error is gone
but
the boot error still there
however the monitor is powered on\
BIOS screen?
no
Ah, what's in it for a drive?
it shows the system specs but we can't do anything do it
um nothing rn
wait drive as in ssd?
yes
it has a 1TD nvme ssd
what slot
There's 2 M.2 drives
and see if it works
2 drive slots
yea its in the top one near the cpu
What drive is it
What brand and model
western digital SN550
Should be fine in the first slot then
UH huh, that's normal
no keyboard detected
ah
That's exactly why

I have a Dell Alienware R3 laptop with a failing internal SSD. It is a Dell M.2 PCIe NVMe Class 40 2280 Solid State Drive - 256GB. I would like to replace this with a reasonably priced 1TB drive. Can anyone give me a recommendation on this? Thank you.
Then boot from Windows Installation Media
What's reasonably priced for you>?
$100 get's you 1 TB
$50-60 gets you 500 GB
Up to $150 CDN
alr alr thanks
Ah, Canada
Yep! A Canuck.
Pricing for drives is kinda weird there sometimes compared to here. however, this is right at that limit, it's fast, reliable and good. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/JHxbt6/mushkin-pilot-e-1-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-mknssdpe1tb-d8
Thanks a mint. I will go have a look at it. Ken
YW
Got it. Thanks again.
Great, you're welcome!
What mother board would you recommend with a core i 11400?
Excluding the b560 and the other 2 new ones
Bc México doesn't have them yet
I have 3600 rams
So i wait?
Also i wanted to ask the only mother board here
Is this one
You said no B560 tho lol
But that one is honestly fine
If that's what is available
2800 pesos?
yeah not terrible
Ya
decent board not bottom of the barrel
Ok, nice, ty
YW
OH hey, that list looks familiar XD
lol
COD tends to be more CPU intensive than GPU but F1 definitely
any part updates necessary for this list?
Otherwise nah, good budget rig
ack vetroo has no prices
uh oh
id cooling it is then
yOOO
Just buy it XD
lol
IKR
gotta set the rgb to red for sure
just to be sure, this is not a real concern is it?
Just use the 2nd M.2 slot
okay cool
my friend sold me this cute bundle for $110 shipped
4770k + 16gb ddr3-2133 + z87 maximus hero
dunno if it's the 2133c9 kit or the 2133c11 kit tho
i'm tossing 2 2070 supers into it

vintage do you happen to know if putting 1 radeon and 1 nvidia gpu in the same system will cause any issues
I've heard mixed results with that
Linus did it
oo nice and red lol
i want to trade my 2070 supers for 5700xts
why tho
so i might end up with 1 of each for some time
cause 5700xt is a much better mining card
52 mh/s at 90-100w compared to 41 mh/s at 120w
everyone out here making money lol
dangit
Mmmm
That's the easy way but they have high fees compared to others
TREX and ethermine.org takes minutes to set up once you have a coin wallet
now isn't a great time to get into mining
Ethermine is just the pool
unless you just wanna mine with your one gaming gpu
Just hit up Trex
that's me
future of mining is very uncertain rn
profitability is going down even as eth price is going up
was it because the computations required are getting more and more difficult?
not to derail the topic

i've completely derailed the topic
is this a good deal for 1 grand?
i'm just questioning the 1660 in there
oh jesus i forgot about the hyperthreading
1.1k cad? i think it's good
how big of a difference does hyperthreading make?
used gtx 1660 is selling for like 700 cad right now
Is that CAD?
yeah
it is
8c/8t is slightly worse than 6c/12t in most tasks
oh oops i forgot to say cad
better in some
is the ram dual channel? lol
it says max ram upgrade is 16gb
that's sus
maybe that means it's only 1 slot
O_O
owo
cursed 1 ram slot mobo
cursed
👍
it's about as good as a 3600 in both single core and multi core
physical cores > threads
just slightly worse?
nah pretty much on par
oh dang
just hope the prebuilt can keep it sufficiently cooled
we all know cooling is always a concern in prebuilts lol
mm true
that cpu cooler kinda sus
at least it has side vents tho
sorry, side vent
singular
this review has an i7-7700 which i think is easier to cool
so i guess it's down to seeing if temps are good or not
and then buying a vetroo if it's not
sus
inb4 it has proprietary mobo with proprietary cooler mounting holes
noooo
Reason: Bad word usage
frick
i forgot
it's been a long time since i've made that mistake
but proprietary mobo is ass
proprietary mobo can die
i think lga is better for one very simple reason
mobo tends to be cheaper than cpu
i'd rather accidentally break pins on $150-200 mobo than $300+ cpu
isn't pga what amd cpus uses?
the one where pins are on the cpu
lga is pins on mobo
Don't PGA cpus have a higher chance of coming unfastened from the retention arm
Amd ones yes
They get pulled off with coolers easily
You never getting an intel cpu out of that socket when pulling the cooler off
Intel cpus have the retention arm plastered down on the ihs
While the amd retention arms I guess grip the pins
Hm
Tbh just means you have to be careful removing the cooler, and wiggle it more, be patient
Rotate the cooler
Yeah basically
I like the aesthetic of the amd ihs, it's sharp looking, but the Intel ihs has the proper holding method that amd cpus should probably just adopt whether or not they keep or stop using CPU pins
boom buy a lga1200 to am4 adapter and put some glue in when installing the cpu into am4 side of adapter so it wont come out then problem solved
@leaden mantle pinned in here
Se 224 xt good enough for 5800x?
That's pushing it
Vetroo V5 is $23 on newegg right now
Kept a 5900x at 65C under cinebench
SO should do fine for 5800x
Yeah i mean it keeps my 2700x pretty cool. Im just putting a part list together
Or should i just spend the money and get a chromax noctua since its a high value
theres always fuma 2
They only have black chromax rip
long link but whatever
ik someones gonna tell me to shorten the link but whatever
Vetroo has white too
Vetroo vs se224?
Vetroo
Corsair ram is kinda poopy with CL18 timing, should be C16 at least and ballistix or something else RGB.
Cooler should be vetroo V5 white, better than Arctic Freezer, has an extra heat pipe and better fin density.
PCI-E 4.0 for an NVME drive is kinda pointless, save the $50 and get another mushkin because you won't notice a difference in day to day use.
You could get a white ROG B550 for what 70$ cheaper and the veteoo v5 like vintage said (Ik the nzxt B550 looks nice but you could easily save money with the one I said)
Sorry 50$
I shoulda got my vetroo black I got it white cus It was my first part and I didn’t decide what I was gonna make the color scheme (I got it first cus it was like $20)
I could probably overclock the ram to cl16 and the arctic looks to better to me and is a bit more quiet vs vetroo.
Von tech did a sound test on the vetroo and that thing is a friggin turbine
I wouldn't buy it counting on an overclock. Some cheap IC are garbage for that.
A lot better than the previous one only thing is like vintage said u can get a pair of ballistix for cheaper and maybe white case fans
added in rgb ram because prev one had rbg ram
Ballistix were 30$cheaper iirc
edit it further ig
im on phone so its anoying
ic
Idk i just put a keyboard on there around the same price range as my previous
Fans go with the mobo, mobo has a specific rgb header for nzxt environment
This is just a late night rando build. Dont plan on building anything for the next couple years at least
how many displays can I run on a 3060ti tuf oc? theres 2 hdmi 3 display ports but i thought I read somewhere I can run more than there is ports
According to the asus website the max number of displays is 4.
rip
I mean that works but I wanted to hook up my drawing tablet as well. I'll just have to run 3 monitors with my tablet on my other desk
what is this place?
Build chat
You know what I just realized? We got the Ps1, ps2, ps3, etc amd we got the xbox, Xbox 360, etc, but we don't got a PC 2. WTH up with that?
pc2: even more personal -- only in stores this fall
Can someone help me please
My new AIO I installed made my pc loud and the fans were at 100, it is the NZXT Z73, do I change it in the bios or NZXT Cam?
The fan speeds for the sound
I have it plugged into cpu_opt
Put it on CPU_FAN
Will that fix it?
Because the fans are silent in the bios but as soon as I boot into windows they all go back up
The do it in NZXT CAM
I have an AIO Pump header too
Or it may be your motherboard software interfering also
But in the video he put it in cpu opt
Hmm
Still loud
Don't have those
Are you sure it's the AIO and not your other system fans?
Do you have the USB cable plugged in from the kraken pump to a UISB 2.0 header?
Now it is loud
System fans
Yep
Naw the aio fans are in front
Corsair exhausts and I managed to put my 2 old lian li intakes at the bottom of the gpu for intake too
Which fans are making the noise, AIO fans or the rest of your case fans
It sounds like my gpu fans but msi afterburner says they are at 29%
So it m8ght be the fans below
how many pins do the lian li fans have
Don't mind the orientation of the screen lmao, I will fix that another time.
3
That's why
I plugged them into the cha 2 and cha 3 fans
Go into BIOS
Change CHA2 and CHA 3 to DC MODE
Cuz you can't control 3 pin fans with PWM
It says they are on DC though
Like when I am in the bios the fan slows down to this speed and is perfect
Really weird
My CPU fan is on pwm with the aio, should I put it on DC?
Reason: Bad word usage
My bad for language
Okay so
I realized the NZXT Z73 is 3 pin
So put cpu fan on dc?
No, it's only two wires yeah?
It's just feedback, AIO control is done through USB and software
The z73 has the usb cable going to the back into usb 2.0 and then 3 fan splitters plug into the extender at the back then 1 cable is unused
I know
I read the manual
You really need to figure out WHICH fans are at 100% so we aren't guessing
Yeah but whenever I am in the bios it sounds normal
Let me put the 2 lian li fans at the bottom at 100% in bios and see
Yep, it is those lian li fans at the bottom
So keeping the z73 3-pin cpu fan header on pwm
I really don't know what is overriding it when I boot into windows
Alright
Of course I can't go lower than 60
Slide it over to manual and set your own curve
Typical asus
what does the check box on the right say
Manual ? Or DC?
You have Armoury crate installed?
No clue what that is so I'm guessing no
Just searched it up and to my knowledge, nope.
I have the Asus X570 tuf gaming plus
I have the same one. TBH I control my fans through AI Suite.
What’s a good budget build (500-600 dollars) for hosting a small Minecraft server?
And you can't go below 60 too?
No, I def can
Especially since my bios is updated
No I meant in the bios
I will install ai suite
Does that override the bios?
IDK, don't use the BIOS fan curves XD
Oh 🤣
Let me try that then
Oh wow...
Nzxt Cam stopped one of my GPU fans and is throttling the other one too
NZXT cam should have no control over GPU fans
It does
I hate that software like I dislike their aio's
They shouldn't have that in there, apparently they do
Maybe I tightened the fans too much at the bottom as well even though I try not to
NZXT should keep it's nose out of GPU things and leave that to GPU software
Exactly like wth
Ajd the noise is gone
I only hear the AIO pump really
Even though I put it at the bottom I hear liquid flowing which I saw on some forums it means bubbles are there so I have to tilt the case or something
This is why I disagree with tubes at the bottom. Air gets trapped in the pump and can't be forced DOWN through the tubes
With tubes at the top, air will go into the tubes, the highest point in the system and can be forced into the top of the radiator
It's just like a car engine
GamersNexus moment tbvh
Will that damage my AIO? I will probably change it around and reseat the pump to change the orientation next month or so because I am so tired and not really feeling to do all that again.
It will reduce the life span I believe
No, it won't damage it nor reduce the lifespan
Either that or put your PC on it's back where all the connections are and run it to force the air out of the pump
Oh phew, alrighty will do that in a bit but man, from yesterday till today, thank you so very much for the assistance..
YW
Oh also, with my old CPU I had my 3600 on default where it boosts the clock speed for itself but now, I noticed my clock speed is always high even though I touched nothing and my CPU is at a constant idle temp of 57 degrees with the AIO and when I just ran a stress test in Cinebench R23, it stayed at 57 degrees too and in Ryzen master so it means that the clock speed or wattage is heating it up on idle..
Change your windows power plan to AMD Ryzen balanced
It's currently on this
IDK, check task manager. Might be something using cpu.
Nope, fairly low CPU usage.
have you tried rebooting the pc?
Yep. Rebooted a lot since I put in the new CPU.
Is it possible to have a low usage and a high clock?
Power plan details, lower minimum CPU state to 30% or similar
It might be wallpaper engine.
Power plan might be set to 99 minimum, check it
Alright let me try changing the wallpaper on wallpaper engine before I try that since the usage is around 20%
Alrighty
20% is a little high for idle
Oh wow..
Wallpaper engine does that...........
That somehow worked.. That's really strange. Has never happened to me before on the old CPU.
I just changed the wallpaper to something different and it went down.
wallpaper engine can use many resources
it depends on the background and what it does
Yeah it was paired with my case lights and audio too.
ahh that makes a lot of sense
Damn, thanks.
