ok
but if yk, im not using it
mining with cpu is not that bad is it?
since if there are no downsides, something like 100 dollars a year from doing nothing is nice
Ehhh i mean cpu is also gonna generate a lot more heat
um yea ig so
but i can take off side panel to combat that yk
and the p400a has pretty good cooling
It's like 30-50c w day if you ran 24/7
The poor environment
Good idea
Yeah those prices you see on the calc are 24/7 not average
and say i only mine for 22 hours,
i should make around 5
since high peak
and mid peak
i used low peak price to calculate so yk
it should be around 5 cad
a day
thats not entirely bad
That's not right it should be around 50c
its usually 3900Xes you want to use if you do CPU mine
oh yea, how come?
more cores = higher hashrate
oh alr
Ohh thought you were still on about the10400
should i have considered that before i bought lol
oh yea LOL
i have the 11500 if that makes much of a difference
Yep
Nicehash for me
and ethermine.org
Thing is nicehash having the deal with coinbase means lower fees if i use nicehash
not gonna ask why cause i prob dont understnad lmao
phoenix is sus rn so im recommending nicehash for amd
prob should start entering shuffle tmrw
no idea how im gonna get my hands on a 3060ti
Good luck
lol thanks
what does the hybrid do on psu?
just one last thing, should i get a new psu just in case?
No
i have a corsair cx 550W
550W is fine lol
is it worth having it off?
CX is just fine
IMo no
alr
My intel i5 650 is a wee bit of a bottleneck
No just leave it
What do
For what gpu?
Get an i5 10400 or 11400 with a b560 mobo if that's what you're asking
anyone know what to do
how can i figure out a good monitor i could run with this?
fairly cheap but good is what in kinda looking for
after buying all these expensive parts i need to buy sum cheaper lol
side note, im sure you know this but do you have a gpu to use? 11400f no igpu
and for that
kk
lol
damn the monitor i was gonna do isnt in stock for the good price
eh, send it to me i’ll check it out
i want good graphics
like 1080p or sum
can i go higher? or no
hmm
anyone good at picking desk LOL
yeah probably like 2000 series or up
but i could run 1080p fine
2000 series discontinued
wym
Don't buy, extremely overpriced used
naw
cant help ya with that but man i was trying to look for a new desk recently and jesus they have gone up in price
nVidia RTX 2000 series, they stopped making them last July
vintage are you good at picking desk
Desk is way too subjective for that IMO lol
yha true
idk if I should get a L shape desk
can’t tell if that’s a joke or not
Dumb question can I put an mini itx in a case with holes for atx and micro atx?
Do you have a specific case in mind? Some I would think it would be fine but others might now be
I don't think so, cases designed for atx and matx won't fit itx
But double check that
Its a old cooler master haf no glass or acrylic.
My other question would be why? itx boards are much more expensive
And less space to work with
they may already have one
I have my old pc giving it to my dad he doesn't like the case though.
Haf doesn't appear to support itx
So the four upper hole on an micro atx are not same as an itx board?
Upper left sure
Anywhere else is questionable
Iirc itx is about half the length and width of matx or something
Yeah, cases that support ATX/MATX don't do ITX
Just about yeah
The case won't be keyed for itx
But that said...
You could just do it yourself lol
don't matx cases have standoff mounts for itx?
Not really
could've sworn
Mine doesn't
Not any I've ever seen, it's ATX/MATX for the most part
well if it's a matx case it won't support atx lol
Or ITX/MATX for the smaller cases
You know what I already have it apart will check to see if the holes line up.
Let you know in a few minutes.
If it doesn't will just put back in my case.
Lol just drill new holes
Dad changed his mind 🤦♂️ now my case is fine it was just before I started to disassemble mine.
Save a bit of time.
yea if it's got standoff mounts for matx it's got standoff mounts for mitx lol
If I get a b460 phantom gaming 4 can it handle 3600 MHz ram (I’m new to pc building)
that's not bad for a school computer
please tell me what i should buy to upgrade i have 150$
i need a upgrade bad
That's scarily close to the old pc I just replaced. had a i5-4690k a random mess of ddr3 memory totaling to 20GB and a few other things
it looks so old
my school's computers had 3rd gen i3s and i5s, 4 gigs of ram (the specialized photo editing computers probably had better)
what gpu do you have @tepid path
lemem check
Intel hd integrated graphics 4600
You already bought a 2700x and X570??
and why 2700x?
and i need some reccomendations for the rest
does x570 even support 2700x?
excep for gpu and fans
not sure
yes but a $400 mobo with that cpu?
oof
ight so that's probably the only thing you'll really need, a gpu, maybe a power supply if the gpu needs more power, and lastly an upgrade to an i7-4790 or xeon e3-1271v3
i already had it
yeah but im not getting a gpu until later
other than that I think you're good
Thx bro
talking to weston ^^
i was wanting a new case and mother board too
my pc looks old
yea
and some ddr4
Well, PC will be useless until you do
no integrated GPU there
mhmm
no yeah ik
And honestly, can you return that MB?
but yeah that motherboard is a huge waste of money
Or CPU?
im going to the us in a few months to buy the rest of the parts
if you're going ddr4 you're getting a new cpu weston
i already had it
you just said you bought it
Get a better CPU then?
its in the us
2700x is kinda rough
im not there rn
at that point you might as well build a whole new kit
yeah ik
im only doing some coding rendering and some gaming
but i don't have 800 dollars laying around to just get a new rig
is it actually that bad
yea
it is
oh no
well already have it idk what else to do
whered you buy from?
do you have an ssd weston?
my uncle bought it for me in tx im not sure what store
yes and a hdd
nice
prolly amazon
id see about returning it tbh
for 400 bucks its a complete ripoff
i was thinking of getting like a 512gb ssd and a 1t hdd
i think it was a local store
thats where he gets most of his stuff
like microcenter
for the price that pcpp is showing you can almost get a 5800x lol
i need to pick out parts in pc part picker
Hello, i am planning to upgrade to not very expensive one but a mid range that can work for future games aswell
budget?
i dont think i can return it
1k-1.1k thats it
you have any pc parts rn?
like storage devices?
or is this your first pc in a while?
so I think the smallest effort upgrade for you would be a gpu and a psu, I'd say something around the performance of a gtx 1650 @tepid path
yeah
ill make a list for rey real quick
I got a gtx 970 for my i7-4790 computer
lemme check
Yes, i have crucial ssd mx500, psi colermaster 600w 80plus and coolermaster case but it’s for ddr3 ram can it be run on new 10th gen?
you can take a pic of the sticker, has all the info about it on there
no
sadly
like the ram wont work
but ssd, psu, and case will work
I had a psu like this lol, 280w, very basic
and I don't think it was 80 plus rated
So what do you suggest i should go for? Ryzen or intel?
If intel i want 10th gen so maybe in future if I upgrade it can be done easily without changing mobo, or is there 11th gen too?
11th gen is on same mobo
basically 12th gen will be on a new mobo
that will be on the LGA1700 socket
same thing with amd, their next series will be on a am5 mobo
So you suggest me to wait?
so current gen cpus would allow for no upgrade without a new mobo
send a pic if it has a sticker on it
unless you upgrade to a cpu from same gen
probably via dm since you're not lvl 3 yet
i mean, waiting ig could work, but there will be a early adopters fee
as the ram will be new aswell
itll be ddr5
im guessing late this year or early next year
TeamGroup plans for its DDR5 RAM modules to be released in Q3 of 2021.
so team is saying late this year
Thanks for your help, I am thinking to wait since ddr5 will be around for like next 3-4 years right?
keep in mind tho there will be a early adopters fee for it
uhhh yeah im guessing itll last around that long
basically its new, so theres gonna be a premium on it
youre gonna pay more for it in early 2022 than in like 2023
So expensive?
more expensive than it will be after its more mainstream
But do you think ddr5 and ddr4 got big difference?
oh yeah huge different
I mean is it worth waiting?
At first it won't be much different
It will take a while for speeds to up and CL to go down
i mean i think its gonna be real good once its optimised well for
Or should go for 11th gen cpu and mobo?
team is saying they expect performance increase of up to "1.6 times"
Hmm, I will take my time to think about that and possibly get back here... you guys were so helpful thanks again 😊
Finished this build a couple days ago, thoughts?https://pcpartpicker.com/b/3rgJ7P
beautiful!!!
thanks
Also, if you have any idea on when these gpus prices will be down? I mean if possibly you have heard anything?
i mean im guessing like a year ish tbh
😵
just depends on how supply is
People say it’s due to miners
could be as soon as a few months tbh
Not really tbh
It ain't miners lol
its really not
It's more scalpers
Nah, not even them
thats just ppl who are mad at miners
Huh
PC demand up 26% 4th quarter of 2020 and going higher
Mostly that, people working from home, kids schooling from home, etc
Oh, covid yeah
yeh
People needing PC's at home
People forced to stay home
More that than anything else
Luckily I already have one kek, even tho it's a crappy laptop
People blaming it on miners are just angry tbh
Got my 3070 in january before the taxes hit
lol i got my 5700xt for 390 back in july
Yeah, almost everything is relayed on pcs here in my country they are schooling from home since may 2020
now its worth ez 600-700
Scalpers are just taking advantage of the situation but are a small part of the issue
mhmm
true
I don't like crypto mining but yea
I honestly plan to become a miner lel
lol
Theres also the whole silicon shortage in tiwan bc of the droughts, right?
Eh, kinda
Supply could be better when lovelace comes
Plus Chinese New Year last month slowed things up as well
But that's my hope
Tons of workers on vacation
Covid is here to stay, ack
sdo we catching back up after that
ah
ezp
sad
z
I wouldn't expect any to hit the market
become oem
Well I found this discord server through a tweet in which they asked to join here for a giveaway and I think even if someone doesn’t get it, this a good server for someone like me who is planning to upgrade or build. Cheers guys I will be around and I think that i should like 5-6 month more
I mean by then it will be clear if they are actually releasing ddr5 mobo or how it is
They will be releasing them but not until the very end of 2021 or early 2022
And even then you will pay for being early to it
^
Hello what is system 32 and why are people telling me to delete it

lmao
sys32 is windows
people are telling you to delete it because it's a long running meme
TO ruin your computer
don't listen to the jerks
Will windows even let you delete it?
when you delete sys32, the os dies
probably not
They were telling me to delete it because it’ll reboot up to system 33 and you’ll get better like, FPS and graphics
I think you have to do it via command line or something
Lemme guess, some tiktok kids gave you that advice?
So I was confused
they're trolling you 😔
Well then what do you suggest if I buy a new mobo what it should be for a budget pc 10th gen one?
Well if you go b560, it'll work for 10 and 11th gen
Same socket
I was looking at b460 pro asrock is it older than b560?
Don't go b460
It'll limit ram speed
2666 on i3 or i5
2933 on i7 or i9
Where as any b560 should be capable of 3200+
Oh, didn’t know there was something like that on mobos 😵
And yes b460 is older than b560
I mean I thought it was just buy a 3200 ram and put it into the socket and then it will give me that speed straight
Let me check b560
Every b560 is capable of 3200+
What is the difference between an atx mobo or a simple one?
atx is form factor
its like one of the bigger ones
thats most of the standard form factors
and then there's EATX
big chungus
not super common in gaming pcs
mostly for HEDT parts I think
mhmm
I see a mini-itx too
bigger cpu die
ye funny thing is, MATX is usually cheaper than ATX, but mini ITX is more expensive usually than ATX or MATX
Which one do you think is better, micro atx or mini?
I like micro
cheapest
micro very nice for price for what you get
cheapest is usually micro as well
cheapest with 4 ram slots
maybe one that doesn't have vrm heatsinks which I don't think is an issue if it has lots of vrms
don't think you'll usually find one without the heatsink but a lot of vrms
Ok also what is the meaning of these alphabets next to the 560 like b560M-A or B560 prime etc?
just different names for different boards made by different manufactureres
thats just the model of it named by the manufacturer
but they all run on the same thing
the M means matx
^
What about mpg x570 by msi?
that's amd
Oh
x570 is the high end chipset for amd, b550 is the midrange, a520 is the low end
z590 high, b560 mid, h510 low for intel
mhmm
What cpu are you looking at out of curiosity?
there's some chipset/mobo feature guides aren't there
Probably? I just know the big one between b550 and x570 is the pcie gen 4 lanes
I've used wikipedia for basic info on earlier intel core series chipset features
and id say vrms are better on some x570s, (not the msi ones lol) since they expect higher end cpus being used on it
Lol yea I was about to say my B550 from msi has way better vrm's than their x570 options
But yea that makes sense too
ye msi x570 sucks bad
I want to say their b550's had some of the better vrm's too compared to other manufacturers so they compensated big time
Oh yea ik, their x570's were awful
der8auer has a good thing on it
اشتري اونلاين بأفضل الاسعار بالسعودية - سوق الان امازون السعودية:جيجابايت Z590 Gaming X, Intel Z590 Mainboard - Sockel 1200
why is arabic amazon mirrored. I don't like it
so that price in usd is nearly 300 bucks
Core i7
Yes
Is it good?
unless you have an unlocked cpu, "K" variant, id go b560
I am actually confused if the k or f doesn’t have much difference then I’ll go for k since it’s the best right
Does b still limit the ram speeds? Think i read somewhere that intel was funny like that.
"f" means no integrated graphics
b560 allows for mem oc
and k means unlocked, so you can basically overclock it
And simple 10700?
simple 10700 is not unlocked and has integrated graphics
It used to but I think they remedied that with the 560
it was either the 560 or the previous mobo ik it is a thing again now though
Ok thought I had read that b wasn't at one point.
So 590 also got that ram limiting issue?
bascially b560 wont allow for cpu overclocking
but z490/z590 will
so if you dont have an unlocked cpu then go b560
B460 limits ram
mhmm
ah ok i knew it was recent that intel allowed memory overclocking on b series boards but didn't remember how recent
That said though I do think it was also on really old b motherboards too because I think my b85 had xmp if I recall correctly. Not that I had memory that I could use xmp with
That's fair, the b85 I had was DDR3 too lol.
Check this out on @Newegg: GIGABYTE Z590 AORUS ELITE AX LGA 1200 Intel Z590 ATX Motherboard with Triple M.2, PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2 Gen2X2 Type-C, Intel WIFI 6, 2.5GbE LAN
Think this one is a bit better than the one i posted above
if you aren't getting an unlocked cpu you don't need z590 though?
Nope
Non-K just get B560
But not a cheap one
ASrock and some of the other lower end ones have garbage VRM for the better processors
Is it just like wasting money you mean?
Yes
pretty much
Ok thanks, I will look for 560 then.
recommend replacing thermal pads on 80
Help please
My PC's perfectly functioning m.2 stopped functioning after I tried to add a new m.2 into the second slot on my asus z390a motherboard
Good morning everyone. Is there any point in asking for help in choosing a GPU you may be able to buy currently for a new builder?
sure
This is what i have so far.
Waiting on a power supply and case. I plan on streaming. That CPU is a 5800x
Nope haha.
it will be important to get at least a basic gpu/display adapter to use the computer when it's assembled
I knew things were rough but still thought id get these ready to go.
5800x doesn't have igp
I plan on not using it or building it until i have some kind of GPU
Well, i want to build it just dont want to turn it on 🙂
you should build and fire it up asap for return purposes
if any parts you received exhibit faulty behavior it would be nice to know sooner rather than later so you can return the broken part within the return window
So nothing will happen to anything if i dont have a GPU?
Sorry, serious nooby here.
well, it won't run without a gpu
has to have some form of graphics to turn on, whether that be integrated or dedicated
So for now, should i buy the cheapest money can buy that i can find?
a GT 710 or even a GeForce 210 would work just to get it running
Perfect. Thank you very much indeed for your time and advice
Np. If this is what it takes it is what it is 😦
you could always sell it again if you wanted to :p
though I'd recommend having one on hand for emergencies
I may keep it. If i ever get famous in the streaming word i can share my story and set up of what it was like when i started 😛
haha
the lian li
is 11900k better then 10900k
11900k is a waste of money
wow
its not an i9 and you cant convince me it is
so is 10900k better then 11700k
singlecore is better for the 11900 but 2 less cores
yes
yeah i think he said 5.1
Get a 10850k or get a Ryzen 9 5900x
so 10900k is the best option for like intel range of 10k stuff
10850k imo basically a 10900k but like 100 cheaper
You can't shop by ghz anyway
thats like saying 5000mhz cl 30 ram better than 3200cl14 lol
But no you can't do that on standard cooling and voltage you need good cooling
also a really good bin
Because both the numbers bigger duh
You make a good point
lol
That's a big price gap what's your budget, also whichever one is inflated
i heard that 3080ti is drastically better
Well ofc it's gonna be drastically better, its gonna have an msrp of like a grand
What voltages and cooler?
how is an aio standard
even after the mining apocalypse?
Aio isn't standard, standard is like a gammaxx 400
or like a 212
I've only seen 9900K's do 5GHz at 1.3v with standard cooling but ok
what do u think how much will the price drop after the mining apocalypse
Good perf on standard cooling would bee like my 3600x all core 4.4ghz at 1.28V on a 212
No mining is a tiny part, it's just massive consumer demand
not much
Hardly anything even if ether and all other cryptos fell off the face of the earth
Noooooooo
Its like 90% gamers 5-10% just miners because most gamers are mining in their off time
You forgot them there scalpers
Well I'm ignoring the scalpers because they'll either end up in gamers or miners hands eventually
Still leads to price increase tho
overall
Ohh yeah but they were talking amount demand i think
Yeah
youtube doesnt give the entire picture tbh... it gives what people wanna see
Waste of money
true
Can you guys recommend any good videos to hell me install Ethernet drivers
as GN called it, its pathetic
Yeah people wanna blame those damm miners
On a driver from another laptop
ok
go to support page of manufacturer and download the driivers for the device
what good motherboard should i get with 10900k and 3080ti
and doubleclick the exe
Z chipset
Thank you so much
Just go to intels site or realtek etc whoever makes the ethernet driver then download and put onto a usb
Im not the person to ask for intel motherboards
uhhh
Z490 or z590
Yeah
There's both with rgb depends wich one
My recommendation tho is dont get an asrock board
^
ok
their bios is more poopy than the gpu stock situation
so Z590 hero wifi something
lol
I don't really know details about component compatibility

i just need a pc that can run my simulator lol
Thats a list by forks
May i recommend ryzen 9 5900x if it fits in your budget
Basically VRM is what provides power to the cpu
so good vrm=good board
The Z490 aorus elite looking nais
Yes Ryzen 5000 is better than intel atm but if you want a z590 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/V7PQzy/msi-z590-pro-wifi-atx-lga1200-motherboard-z590-pro-wifi
The z590 aorus elite lokking better imo
What?
No
No just intel
that sucks
Motherboards are cpu brand specific
Not a single motherboard supports intel and amd
oh ok
Not really it means that you don't end up with a janky performing board
Intel is Z>B>H
Don't even touch h
AMD is X>B>A
what?
yes
The driver I used to download windows, can I download more stuff on it
maybe it is better
bout to say lol
that its brand specific
Yes?
Otay just making sure
do you mean usb drive?
What do you mean by latency bruh?
Yeah you can
Yeah
Okay thank you
Yeah you can do whatever
Otay thank you
There was a point when I used to run 3 linux OSes off a single 64GB pendrive lol
No it still has the windows installer on it
Well you'll need to format the drive first but yeah
We aren't talking about mem latency
yus
dope
You can install windows for free using the media creation tool on their site and a usb stick
Its almost like zen 3 fixed that and yet you say a cpu which no one here is talking about has bad latency so amd is bad
thats ryzen 7
Who here is talking about zen+
Where did get that graph also that's zen + not ryzen 5000
thats Zen 3
Very nice cpu
xd
Kicks intels touche
slaps around a 10900k lol
More expensive tho
Well more cores and better single core as well tho
Well yeah but they were looking at 11900k so think they got budget for 5900x
Yeah intels good for budget
only i5s
the rest of intels 11th gen lineup is a waste of sand and pathetic
Yeah but 10700k is nice
Waste of sand

Yep
thats 3 years old
also not a great cpu by any meaning of the word anymore
Genshin Impact
Checkmate
also if you gonna be getting a 3080, 1080p is dumb
Your point?
you asked for a game that the 9700K couldnt run at 240fps and I gave it to you
also since you never specified a graphics card it cant run more games at that fps than it can
Okay I need phat help. My motherboard (MSI Z490 a-pro) doesn’t have wireless wifi so I connected it to Ethernet however no network connection is showing up. I thought I needed to update the drivers in which I did (transferred through usb drive) but I guess it’s not working even though I downloaded it like 100 times. If anyone has any solutions it’ll be appreciated
From the MSI website
Specific for my motherboard
Yeah
I updated bios
And I restsarted windows yes
This is all of the info I guess
New Ethernet cable I really don’t think it’s the problem
Yeah
And it works on the same area
Okay I check
bruh
14900k? It'll probably kill your PSU before it plays genshin >:)
Yes
@little osprey remember basil?
:P
heh
But seriously, there are some 9700k probably won't get 240 in, like say ark, rust, rdr2,
or particularly CPU heavy strategy titles
like any Paradox games
most fps games it'll be fine
other than maybe wz/cw
those are a bit heavier
Ist there a way to get more storage on ps5
wait for the update to use the nvme slot idk, just guessing tbh
To store ps4 games you can use an external hard drive/ssd for ps5 games you need to wait for the update that recognises m.2 ssds that you can add
Yes
Ok
Although probs very overpriced
How good would it be
Good, but what price is it?
Better to go 3600 cl16 and oc
It's 2x the price of 3600cl16 not worth, you can overclock it yourself if you really want to
Yes
are you talking price wise or in general?
Price wise
What about I. General
In general the cl14 would be better cause it should xmp to that timing
Ok
Yes but i wouldn't pay for 3600cl14 because it's 2x the price of 3600cl16 and only worth mb 15 20$ more really, just oc it yourself usually
i mean if you have cash to blow then go for it
Lol
High five for disposable incomes!
Hey guys what should I do if my cpu cooler (ryzen 7 3700x) stock cooler shows plug in cm device to get started
You might have your cooler plugged not into the cpu fan header that could be why
Need both cables on it
Fan is plugged in but you need the USB cable for it also
Plugged into a USB 2.0 header on the bottom of the motherboard
Guys just wondering in pc part picker can you write where you got the part from
You can add a custom part if your logged in
Can someone halp me plz My PC's perfectly functioning m.2 stopped functioning after I tried to add a new m.2 into the second slot on my asus z390a motherboard
Which m.2
so im trying my first ever build and i kinda need some help on if its good or not
can anyone help me?
Everything says purchased so it's a bit late now yeah?
i found someones build and worked off it
Oh
and this was one that i found suiting for my price range
And an intel 660p 1tb
Instead of 212 get Vetroo V5, cheaper, RGB and better cooler. If oyu're not getting an INtel K CPU, get a B560 Motherboard instead. Z490 is only needed for overclockable K CPU
i have no idea what any of that is but i will look for that stuff
ok
Reading the manual
is this good?
The m.2s are a intel 660p 1tb and a crucial p2 2280 500gb
for motherboard
I saw that, what CPU is it
also i cant find the fan you mentioned
This would be a good bit better if it's for gaming and you don't need the 8 cores https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rsyxvf
ok
A 3060 ti if possible
im trying for something that can run my vr headset at a very good speed

Ahh yeah probs just easier to build new pc then
Get the gpu first
Dont buy from a scalper tho
Use newegg shuffle and best buy pretty much

Does anyone know if sn850 comes with a warranty
All decent ssds come with warranty
Wouldn't bother getting sn850 tho
A pilot e or sn750 wont be noticeable difference i would say
is there a difference in mushkin helio somehting and pilot
I was thinking maybe if they were doing large file transfers all the time but that's it
Yes, pilot faster
how do you compare if its faster
Better read write and iops
Does anyone know sn850 warranty or no?
Probs 2 years
oh ok
Ok
But get a pilot e instead
5 year apparently
How do u finds that out
Wait i think I'm mixing stuff up I'm not 100% sure but it should be in the specs
But a pilot e or sn750 is all you need
I see
I mean sn850 is on a sale rn
$55 off
Does anyone know how I can return a part to Newegg
Where?
Go to the returns tab?
Even on sale it's overpriced
Do I have to call them cause I bought it a while ago but it had a warranty
In orders
But I bought before o had a acc
How did you buy something without an account?
Then go to your emails mb?
Like, go here and choose how you want to do it. https://kb.newegg.com/knowledge-base/contacting-customer-service/

$350 for a 1050TI is too much
You don’t have to pay that much for windows
oh yeah
Just get an oem key
ok

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CCJt2V use this and use the integrated gpu until you can get a 3060 or 3060 ti
