Well, there aren't any updates for it yet
Download new and previously released drivers including support software, bios, utilities, firmware and patches for Intel products.
brb speaking of download got to update my gpu drivers
really
in the intel graphics command center
it tells me to install a driver
lemme take a scrreen shot
Huh, Intel direct website says none available
it was updated on the 16th of april
um i cant upload the screen shot hold up and lemem check that
yea thats the number
right
SO that's the current one then
yea but i dont seem to have that installed
given that it keeps telling me that i need to install it
lol
um lemme check that as well, but it seems to be different from the status in intell graphics command center
driver tab
Try dl and install this https://www.guru3d.com/files-get/intel-hd-graphics-driver-download-4590,19.html
Download Versionย 26.20.100.6709 of theย Intelย HD integrated graphics for their Graphics Integrated processors.ย This update adds Kaby lake and Apollo Lake platform features....
Hmmm
mebbe not LOL
brb again

Download Versionย 26.20.100.6709 of theย Intelย HD integrated graphics for their Graphics Integrated processors.ย This update adds Kaby lake and Apollo Lake platform features....
sorry
kay
the igx pin?
done, and restarted
but still the same graphic driver
27.20.100.9415
uh
Wat lol
Weird.......
alright
Just finished adding the 7th monitor to my fiance's rig (top monitor). These are mostly old monitors save for the 1080p acer in the center of them all.
there arent any performance difference right?
Nah
Not until a new one is released maybe
kk
Her main displays are handled by RX 2070 Super, extra monitors by a Radeon RX570.
Lol yea I was about to ask how you drive that many monitors on 1 gpu
aye nice but may i ask, why do you have so many monitors ๐
why not?
I chose to get an RX570 on ebay because I using two different generation nvidia cards is a pain. By using Nvidia and radeon, we can upgrade either card without conflicts.
idk, just doesn't seem right to have your entire pov covered by monitors
She works for ModSquad and by extension epic games, she is part of the team that audits stuff posted to the unreal engine marketplace.
With all the stuff she has to have open, this was the "best" solution.
2 more will be added soon too.
That's fair having a lot of ultrawides is probably really expensive
Yeah, most of these monitors are from clients that were tossing them (I do PC repair for a managed IT company)
That's fair
My rig only has two.
Free stuff is always nice
Two old fart monitors. I really want a 1440p Ultrawide.
Just a year ago I had a 900p monitor and a 4:3 720p monitor. Now I have two 1080p monitors and its so nice lol
I think for Christmas I am going to replace her main monitor with a 1440p display and, finally get my ultrawide and essentially upgrade her two 'side' monitors with 1080p displays.
The one portrat monitor works better than we ever thought because of a specific Excel spreadsheet she has to fill out with each report. it fits perfectly lol
nice, I tried using my 900p 20" monitor in portrait once and it was too narrow to be of any use lol
yeah 900p is a bit tight for that.
This is what I had to do to mount her top monitor. The monitor mount needed better weight distribution on this drywall wall.
Yea glad to be done with that lol. My whole setup has gotten a huge upgrade in the past year. The only thing I haven't upgraded is my mouse and I honestly have no intention to since it works great
Yea that can be hard unless you're able to hit a stud
She runs a Ryzen 7 2600, I run a 6th gen i7
If you want UW-QHD on a budget, I'd go MSI tbf. AOC got some nice ones too, but the freesync doesnt like Nvidia
I was specifically looking at the G34WQC from Gigabyte I heard reports that it works with G-Sync
a lot of newer freesync monitors will have a "G-Sync compatible" certification that I believe means they were tested by Nvidia
I kick myself every day because months ago the G34WQC was going for 399
Didnt have front fan RGB for a week or so but I finally got it working!
Looks good
Posted my part list I am looking to build the other day, but made some changes again and want to make sure im still not doing anything too dumb.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sXrr8J
Yo i need help with my jank intel build
I cant get it to recognize my gt 220
No im not trolling
I already have the GPU and CPU (so long as I can fix a few bent pins), but I reduced from an ATX to a mATX and opted for A520 as I dont need PCIE4
U sure u wanna do microATX mobo/case?
Ah
What motherboard?
@rugged copper yeah was looking into it and I don't need more than one PCIe lane really
are drivers still supported for that lol
It needs to be a UEFI compliant GPU to work with modern motherboards, FYI. That means GT640 or newer.
idk, it came from an old OEM
I build PCs a lot, and these are all parts I had lying around that I decided to use to make an office PC for my mom
yeah, it's a UEFI compliance thing
The GT220 isn't UEFI compliant
So no worky
is the most likely case
I know right
yeah... im playing on a 465 right now lol
Terrible
only other GPU I have rn is a 3070 which I'm not putting in this build
got lucky with 2070 evga b stockand its on its way
The other crappy part is that Windows 10 doens't like Legacy booting now after some updates
So that's kind of not an option anymore either
So on fans, the air goes towards the logo and out the side with the back supports right?
Thanks
Hello Newbie, I need help with a build. I have lots of experience building. Newbie to Discord. My problem I have a Z590 AORUS ULTRA motherboard. I cannot find a AIO cooler that the backing plate fits the LGA 1200 socket. All AIO that I have purchased so far, the backing plate is to big. The three were CORSAIR, the other two Cool Master.
It shouldn't be, I'm checking tho
yeah, that should fit LGA1200 no problem
You sure you're using the right backplate?
Any AIO that fits LGA1151 should work with LGA 1200
Backplates are the same
The kit comes with three backing plates two AMD and one LGA 115x and 1366 and 1200
Yeah, the 115x should fit without issues. do you have a picture by chance?
Well, you can't post it in here yet due to ranks so DM it to me, if you don't mind. I think 8 MB is the limit
Can do, if you don't mind
I don't ๐
TY
So I have a 3 to one wire for my fan power. The single cord is 4 pin female, and the 3 splits are 2 3 pin male and one 4 pin male that is red. Does it matter what fans the 4 pin plugs into? These are all output fans, not hooked up to a rad or anything
so i have the choice between a 10700k or a 10900k. which one should i get? I would be pairing it with a 3080, so im not sure which. im also not sure two more cores is worth like $150. imma go to bed, ill respond in the morning if i get any responces
I'd say it rly depends on what you would like to do with it, for mainly gaming and even streaming I'd say 10700k would be the better option in terms of value, while if you want to do a lot of multitasking and productivity workloads that can take advantage of 10 cores, 10900k would be a better choice imo
I'm updating my bios atm, using 5600x, fresh build
Just got into the boot screen, and it had told us to insert a boot media device and press a key
is an h510 okay to use for a build for a person who wont be doing any strenuous tasks
not gonna get them a p360a bc they dont want rgb
still
p360a
theres a no fan version no?
None
Both are the cost of an entire pc
not in south africa theyre not
I wonder if vintageracer79 is on
vintage is around somewhere
oh you are here
hi
I have 1k to spend and wanted to upgrade my pc, vintage told me to buy this
but I was wondering i can switch the 5600x to a 5800x
What do you currently have?
You could, but 5800x is just kinda wack pricing
You dont realy need new ram
ballistix
But ripjaw 3600c16 will work if ballistix is out of stock
I think 16g is fine
ye
also about the mvne
can I switch that out for Western Digital BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 2280 1TB
my friend has one and he can sell me one for like 50 bucks
1tb?
Contact them about it, and how much the drive has been used
can't I just delete the used drive
what about that mean
and how can I fine that out
it should be brand new, he told me that he just install windows on it and 1-3 games
crystal disk anime edition
As long as that's true
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NkZwbh how is this 200$ list?
Case will be run no front panel FYI
@full atlas switch ssd plz
Bc it had a full mesh dust filter
Why?
well
scary ssd
any upgrade to the CPU fan
Hmmm
stock good enough for stock
2258 ๐ซ
what about the case do you think the case need upgrading
solid front panel
Just put on cardboard box, no case needed
It's a cost you can consider if you want aesthetics
for like P400a/P500a/TD500 mesh
not necessary but could be nice to have
Lancool ii mesh
CM H500
those kinda things
no
I didn't forget about it
@pine kayak I purposely left it out
like 4000d
need at least one more fan imo
and doesn't make sense when the case is like 95$ nowadays
you can buy more
just 5$ more and you get a td500 mesh
with all the fans included
:P
it's too annoying to deal with adding more fans depending on mobo
im guessing a = mesh
still i have meshify c and td500 and both are great case also if you need a smaller case go with the meshify c
no
naw it doesn't have the mesh
well anyways thanks for your help
:)
for the upgrade vintage and you listed how much dedicated ram will i get
What are you planning to do with the computer?
There is budget leftover if you want more ram
minecraft
hmm
Ram for mc?
yes
16 is plenty Iโd say
what about how much faster will this pc be with the upgrades
depends on mods but ye
I have alot of mods install in minecraft
The only time I had ram issues with mc on 16gb was when I had 300+ mods and there was a memory leak
how fast will my pc be with all of these upgrade do you know?
5600x be speeed
Hey guys are the ll120 sleeved bearing fans
should be mag lev iirc
magnetic levitation
@wicked frigate you really shouldnt need to run all your fans at 100% all the time
If you are using the corsair fans, you can control them via iCue and their default profiles should be good for a baseline, and adjust from there. Not everyone's case and setup are the same. For example, my default LL's in the front went to quiet, profile, but my back I changes to a balanced profile. My two top AIO fans (ML's) are running balanced to push air out, but could go quiet since the difference at that temp is around 100 rpms
Ok thx
Eh, I think 8 GB RAM is reaching the point where it's just inadequate. My laptop has 12 GB (yeah, weird config but that what it shipped with) and I'm feeling it struggle in places these days.
It is for a good portion of things nowadays
do y'all know if EVGA ships to canada?
They probs have a canadian site so yeah?
um can't seem to find em lol
wait no, they dont have a offical canada site lol
and the stuff is like 20% expensive here in cad than the us ahhhh
8 is okay... but def has it's limits. Basically can't game at all
is this 3060 any good?
The EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 provides players with the ability to vanquish 1080p and 1440p gaming, while providing a quality NVIDIA RTX experience and a myriad of productivity benefits. The card is powered by NVIDIA Ampere architecture, which doubles down on ray tracing and AI performance with enhanced RT cores, Tensor Cores, and new streaming mult...
lol, that was the cheapest one i found it's actually fine ?
how does gddr6 numbers effect quality
mm
higher res and higher fidelity = more usage of vram
wont always determine a cards performance tho
oh ok
More curious as to what they mean by numbers
so if you have like 24 gb u can have like 10 monitors?
Like, ram size? bus width?
amt of monitors wont affect performance
You can do that many monitors with less ram
just the apps you have running
no
VRAM is ram for the GPU
^
ohh
Video RAM
ok
gpu is like its own computer tbh
Textures use it
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cyTYZZ 3070 bundled with the psu
Through out the pay actually goes on fire
what does that mean
through out the pay?
Psu*
well fine i will add the value of the psu to the gpu and get another one
Yeah
rev df
Good psu
ok i can still afford it
i might have to use my old monitor untill I have enough for another
๐
r u competitive
Planning to
so u need 144 hz
My monitor can run 144 its just im confused cause of the hdmi
u probably need display port. what is ur gpu
talk to vintage im dumb
Amd 5500xt
mr vintage @muted patio can u talk to this man
Lmao
Not sure HDMI 1.4 supports 144hz, recommending to use the display port
I think it has a dp 1.2 which can easily hit 144
Ok
HDMI 1.4 should do 144hz at 1440p
Oh does it
Yes
Maybe mixing up with 1.2 nvm my bad
Crap, looks like it's 1080p 144hz
1440p is 100hz
or 85hz
Def need 2.0 or DP for it
My bad
The monitor the guy has is 1080p 144
It should handle that then yes
I'm thinking desktop settings, yeah
So its fine ?
Did you check on desktop display settings what the Windows refresh rate is set to?
HDMI 1.4 is fine for 1080p 144
Provided it's an actual HDMI 1.4 cable
Late to the party
Imo dp better because of latch and better res and frame rates, well at least it used to anyway
theres a few 3090s too i think
dont have the money to buy a card but am trying to at least get it in my cart
3060 ti already out
managed to get it in my cart but said out of stock at checkout
at least i got it in my cart like i wanted
am happy
Not me filling out the VAG quiz even tho i aint gonna buy a 6800xt plus shipping to ireland :/
I need help choosing out an monitor
What budget
What GPU
Gigabyte M27q to start I'd say
Eh
M27q is 1440p170hz for 330$
About double the price for 1440p240hz
Smth like FI27Q-X is 700$ for 1440p240hz
can i uhm send a pc link in here, and you guys rate if its worth the money?
ig not
I see
how abt a pic?
Pic needs lvl 3
@stoic island
Just chat a bit until you have lvl 3
I need help pick out an mic
For gaming
Mic? Ask ghosty about mics
Why am i ping
Mic
Wat budget
Umm donโt have
You don't know how much you want to spend??
Haha ok
Im going to assume usb?
at2020?
Well for usb there are some nice option. For dynamic mics the samson q2u is a nice usb/xlr hybrid. The condenser in similar price is hyperx solocast. If you want to go a little more expensive the elgato wave 1 is a fantastic usb condenser mic
Dynamic is closer range and pick up less bg noise, condenser is wider and pick up more noise. So like concerts and podcasts yse dynamics, studios use condensers
I want really good mic quality and it to pick up no background noise
The other option is XLR setup which can be considerably more expensive because you need a usb interface. Cheaper xlr setups would be like a m track solo with a behringer xm8500.
Keeping in mind that dynamics pick up less noise but you have to make sure you are close to them, the samson q2u and the audio technica atr2005usb are nice usb dynamics that have the option of being used with a xlr interface if you wish to upgrade to xlr down the road
What do most gamers use usb?
Most gamers use headsets, 3.5mm or usb. XLR starts to go into professional/prosumer range
Ok
Which one would u recommend if I went with usb/XLE
I just want really good quality and no background noise to pick up cause I have a lot of nacreous d noise
Backroad
The Q2U is a favorite to many being not that expensive, good sound for the price, and the option of upgrading to xlr. It has good scalability. The only downside ive seen with the q2u is if you use usb and touch the empty xlr port it can make some static interference but that is all.
Buy the Samson Q2U

NOTE (FULL DISCLOSURE): If you purchase an item using my amazon link, it provides me a small referral fee which helps me purchase these microphones. For more info check my FAQ page links below.
Check the FAQ to see if ...
There is a 3 prong xlr port on the back. If you use usb and you touch the prongs with your finger it can static. My friend always likes to jumpscare me with it xD
The big circular port is xlr
I see
Does it come with a stand
Is there a better on than that for little bit more
The atr2005usb is similar style a bit more but i cant remember exactly how it compared to the q2u. Other than that there arent many other usb dynamics i can think of in the price
And that listing on b&h comes with a tripod stand
The most popular usb/xlr are q2u, atr2005usb, m7v in order from least to most expensive i believe. All dynamics
Ok
Out of those 3 which one is the best
Sound wise
God quality
Good
And no background noise
So I have to buy a mic stand separately
Best quality is the m7v. The m7v is basically the usb/xlr version of the shure sm7b
Some of them dont come with stands there are also bundles in some places
You can look up reviews. Thats not exactly how it works but basically especially with dynamics, the closer you are the less bg noise
Background noise depends on where you're recording, not the mic lol
Ok
That is also true
There is also geforce broadcast for bg noise if you have modern nvidia gpu
Depends how much to spend. I think the q2u is best for the money
I wanna spend no more than -00
100
Any better ones than the q2u
Or is that it
You can check reviews, but for dynamic usb is definitely one of the best under 100
Here is one right at 99usd if interested https://youtu.be/tblhobnggJw
Today I review the Audio Technica ATR2100x, an upgrade to the classic Audio Technica ATR2100. I also include comparison to the classic ATR2100 and the Samson Q2u. This update includes a USB-C port, A/D and D/A converters that go up to 24-bit 192kHz, and a new, less blinding light.

Rtx voice is an absolute godsent for my friends on discord because of my keyboard
At around 5:30 he compares to q2u
WhT about the atr2005
I cant really say. I havent listened to that one in a while and im not at my pc
Ok so my options are q2u or the
ATR
One
Who h one would u recommend
Here will u be ok if I dm u if I have more questions
They make aios for 3080 yet?
They make hybrid 3080's
Wym
like this
Prebult tho?
uh?
The EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 delivers the unprecedented performance that gamers crave for 4K resolution gaming, powered by the NVIDIA Ampere architecture. It's built with enhanced RT Cores and Tensor Cores, new streaming multiprocessors, and superfast G6X memory for an amazing gaming experience. Combined with the next generation of design, cooling,...
Sorry my mistake
and also, I seriously don't recommend doing the old strat of grabbing the nzxt bracket with a cpu aio, since this gen has hawt vram that should be cooled well
Going to change out thermal pads today
Will update with memory junction yemps
Temps
(bracket thing in question)
nzxt's bracket thingy
Lol yea I saw that on newegg the other day and they don't give any sort of details on compatibility and just the whole thing seems like a bad idea lol
what does it even do lol
basically lets you mount a normal CPU aio on a GPU
it has afan
It's so you can mount a kraken
Goes on GPU to let you mount an AIO to it
oh
Fan is for VRM and VRAM
huh
ya
interesting
I thought DDR5 was supposed to be lower power but maybe I'm just dumb
Gonna need to start putting 20mm fans on your ddr5 vram XD
It's more efficient but it runs faster so
That's fair, I guess I should have realized that when I literally watched ltt's video today about the GDDR6X overheating on 3090's
Yeah course it was zotac and 100c gaming lol
there's also heat tolerance
Yep like g6x being able to go up to 105-110
I think micron has the ideal operating temp in the 90s though if i remember right from the video
B-die hairdryer test results: yes it works at 4400 17-18-37 going from 25C to 60C on the Ktype lead to a massive amount of errors.

Ok so I was right about Micron saying operating temps is 0-95C. This is from their site
It's not supposed to throttle till 105ish anyway, that's what I've heard anyway
That I'm not sure of I just knew listed operating temps were 95
and with OCing, it usually scales as higher clocks with lower temps
I thought it's been confirmed for a while
I mean we all knew about it already anyway for at least a few weeks thanks to msi
I thought it was just no date
Ah that's what it was it was good old' loose lips sink ships msi
No date yet but some leaks that came out yesterday or something was may 26th
that's fair
True but it's hardly a typo on the crates
(specs wise)
I also think msi literally had something online too not even the crates
There's a big difference between knowing it exists and knowing what exactly it is
imo
Oh msi had a listing for a 3080 ti ventus 3x oc on a polish retailer
wat
Had to use a vpn to put myself in poland but its still up
Sus
suposedly they're a pretty big retailer in poland๐คทโโ๏ธ
So I'd say it's a pretty solid confirmation for at the very least 12 GB of GDDR6X
who knows tho
Maybe. Trust nothing until it happens lol.
didn't the 3070ti get listed by Lenovo for a while, and then turn out to not be real?
ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
It's the 3050 ti with 12gb vram like 3060
either way, Nvidia announcement w specs will be neat
Oh yea for sure, I guess my comment was more just there seems to be a lot of leaks or hints implying it is in fact coming
fair
Paper launch ๐
Oh for sure
wE hAvE mOrE cArDs tHiS tImE
It still kills me that AMD made a big stink of actually having stock unlike nvidia and now their cards are significantly rarer
Yep lol
also speaking of gpu launches did intel ever set a date?
Not yet
Watch turns out intel never had a gpu it was just so people would keep talking about intel and they hoped it would help their cpu sales
I mean they've pulled the plug on a gpu devision before why not again? lol
Too far invested at this point i think
That's fair. It'll be interesting to see how they actually stack up
Like same thing with 11th gen i7 and i9 i believe gotta recoup some r&d costs
Roood
buh
how do you all know the amount of power your system is pulling?
Odd question. Can I install the fans in my case before I put the mobo in or is that a bad idea?
I would put the mobo in first, especially if you're putting fans in the top of the case.
Sorry I'm asking a barrage of weird/dumb questions. Trying to get the nerve up to finally assemble everything.
lol i thought i asked stupid questions, they are all pretty nice so thanks to everyone here!
pcpartpicker?
go 100w more cus oc and stuff
Check CPU and GPU tests
yeye, but idk how to actualy check it in real time
Anandtech and Tomshardware do the hard work
They have testing that shows total wattage pulled in a system
Like, some 65W CPU will pull 200W lol
I guess after supper I'm pulling the mobo out and will start attaching things. At least CPU/RAM should be relatively painless.
oh where can i download them?
Download the testing?
Just google something 11600K power draw toms or something like that
Oh
lol
What cpu
gl!
The CPU cooler will make me nervous... so will actually putting the mobo into the case. Be a lot of "don't drop it, don't drop it" running through my head.
For Intel, use Intel Power Gadget https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/intel-power-gadget.html
kay thanks!
depending on the size of the case, i think its easier to put the fan on before hand, but remember to check if you can
is the segotep better than the enermax df
just felt easier for me and my case provided enough space for it lol
Unless you have a big case, mobo always first
No
think he was talking about the cpu fan lol
TaliaKirana โ Today at 4:32 PM
Odd question. Can I install the fans in my case before I put the mobo in or is that a bad idea?
i was saying that (if he could) it might be easier to put the cpu cooler onto the mob before putting it on
TaliaKirana โ Today at 7:38 PM
The CPU cooler will make me nervous... so will actually putting the mobo into the case. Be a lot of "don't drop it, don't drop it" running through my head.
I was indeed talking case fans there. I was removing the default case fan to replace it with a pack of RGB fans.
oh yea sorry, misunderstanding, i was replying to your second statement lol
Because all my fans must match
got it open, and it seems to work well, but im concered as to why my cpu is pulling 30W + doing pretty much nothing
considering that they can only pull 65 max
Cuz that's how it goes
Oh, 65W is FAR from MAX
That only applies to base clock
NOt boost clock
Hence why I said a 65W TDP CPU can pull 200W
oh but it cant overclock though, or are we talkng about different things?
TDP means literally nothing
welp lol
So if a processor is 3.5 ghz base and 4.8 ghz boost
The 65W only applies to the 3.5ghz speed
OH
4.8 ghz boost will pulll more
thats how it works alright
and is there any way to get the total power draw of the entire system?
The best way to calc your power usage is get one of those power measure brick things tbh
With a KillaWatt meter plugged into the wall
oh yea i was about to mention it!
and your PC plugged into that
alright, should i buy one?
Yeah that's the name of it
Honestly, just tell us your CPU and GPU and we can tell max power draw
kay
i really wanted to see how much power my system uses live since it was kinda interesting but alright ig
11500 with no gpu yeah
Is a lian li 205m a good matx case?
For the price its alright yes
hey new here have a quick ? my Cpu and its fan just shat all over my day and now i need to rebuild the GPU and the Ram Survived aswell as the Hard Drive Motherboard is outdated so its gone and the power supply is iffy my initial though was to get a pre build that had a good CPU, Motherboard, and Power supply and switch out the GPU https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-570-rx-570-armor-mk2-8g-oc/p/N82E16814137291and add my Ram does anyone have any recommendations
I mean, you can buy a killawatt meter if you want. Or just compare to these tests. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i5-11400f/20.html
The Core i5-11400F is Intel's most affordable Rocket Lake processor. While its multiplier is locked, you can still adjust the power limit. Once we did that, the CPU ran over 15% faster and almost matched the Core i5-11600K. We also made an interesting discovery regarding Gear 1 vs. Gear 2.
Do u have any other suggestions for matx cases?
kk, the main reason i kinda want to get one is so i can calculate roughly how much power i use and how much it cost. Then decide if its worth getting something like a 3080 to make back some of its cost through mining
Oh, you'll def do that mining
Go to Nicehash
They have a calculator that inlcudes electricity costs
๐
oh alright
Ye but ig if they want to measure power input before it's thru the psu then killawat is the best way
Just need to know your cost per KW/h
Since psu isn't fully efficient
but im trying to decide if a overpriced 30 series card is worth it
Depends
relatively inconsequential
80+ white
Look at nicehash calc
heh
Still only 5%
not as much as you think
ye alright lemme go check it out
canadian power costs are also weird
mining at night actually might be worth it
my area has some complicated power costs lol
I mine 24/7 and we have a night meter because electric car, at night it's half price pretty much
Non 80+ vs 80+ plat gives you some difference then
can you mine with a mac
nvm it's too complicated dont even know how it works
Assuming non 80+ is below 80+ white
24/7365 full load
What specs?
Try find a psu that's under 80+ white
with everything in it, 7 fans, AIO, 3700x, 3070, 90% load 24/7, 7 drives, etc
Wish.com, random ebay
and 2 onitors
Uhhh like full year cost?
Whats price per kilowatt there?
20 bucks
Ya
Still seriously you don't make back the jump from bronze to titanium or plat in like 5 years
Mhmm
welp they havent updated for the 11th gen intel calculations
But usually like 50$ more for plat or titanium
Or even more
or am i doing something wrong?
You wanted to mine on your cpu?
For mining?
use 3080 GPU lol
CPu isn't used for mining
dont u have to enter your entire build into it?
In some places that's worth tho tbh
like everything?
Like 30c for a cpu per day
or just gpu?
Should be around like$8 after electricity costs
If electricity is hella expensive or there's not a lot of it
$8 a day
Most expensive power in the country, what is it?
Very high electric costs yeah
Well okay use mine
I mean also keep in mind that electricity is billed by the kwh. and at least here it's $0.0984
20c in Ireland
woah power expensive in ireland lol
is that good?
What's power costs?
10c at night tho
So 0.2 Euro?
Yep
So 0.24 USD
if u are asking me, i used 0.085 cad for now
Yeah
Even at 0.24 cents per kw/h
Gold to plat is $19 a year
Bronze to Titanium is $50 a year so might be worth it.
Still take a couple years to pay it back tho
It's acc slightly less cuz my night rate is 10c so works out to .2$ but yeah
Yeah just cuz
btw which card is the most efficient at mining?
Well yeah
But also that extra 50$ would price be more 70 over here I'm gonna guess
3060 ti
Regardless, the cost to performance is the same it's just how deep your wallet is
3060 ti and 3070 mine same
k lemme check out the availability
when it comes to mining
lmao k
Well no it is
$10 day for a $1000
Doesn't that also work out for like 100% load tho or not?
or $5 a day for $500
I did 90% TDP 24/7
Cuz I mine
thats not entirely bad actually, say i only mine for 50 days, thats a 500 dollar 3080
Ah
Provided the cost of Bitcoin/Eth doesn't go down
If it goes up, great, if it goes down, meh
It's same perf as 3070, calculations might be a bit messed up because huge price spikes atm
$4-5 USD a day
About 5-6 cad a day
Is what I'm making with my 3070
k
In my experience with a 3070
and thats 24 hours a day right
as of this very second I'm making $5.06 a day
Yea pretty much
Eth growing again
ye
Okay ntb, yeah i mine too but parents pay for electricity anyway (i pay flat rate /month for mining) and just got a gold from a white so should be okay lol
so just to make sure, you have to mine for 24 hours a day right?
and you cant really use the system while it mines>
Yeah, I'm just saying the efficiency doesn't matter a whole lot
Yeah
Don't have to, I game with mine as well
but only a couple hours a day
titanium if you're using high wattage stuff
rating doesn't really matter if its a rig or two
um, so its a bit less than 5 cad if i use the system a bit
and i think i should prob just mine for like 12 hours since low peak
Gold to Plat at 0.24 per KW/h is $20 a year man
Mine when not gaming
pulling 5KW+?
.12
yea i dont play triple a titles so i dont htink that will be much of an issue
i use whatever i can buy
most new miners are starting in cali which is like .20+
iirc
im worried about high peak since the price is around 0.176 cad kwH
Well you can play Minecraft or whatever but if you mine while gaming at same time experience is meh and you're hash rate halves or more
SO gold to plat for my 500W system 24/7 365 90% TDP is $9 a year, multiply that by 10 and it's $90 a year. For how much more cost in PSU's?
That's not as much as me, I'm .24 us snd still make loads
xD, minecraft is pretty much the only game i play, no time for anything else lol
oh really
you already need to buy specific ones that have enough 8 pins unless you have a scuffed setup so price difference likely isn't much
the calculator says i make a bit more than 3 cad a day using 3060ti
I understand that but add em all up and the cost savings isn't as much as you think it is.
Yeah still like 4-4.50โฌ ish per day with 3 -4 hours of gaming
Oh Mando, the 3060ti FE I got yesterday will go in my main rig, going to upgrade the PSU to 1000W and undervolt both cards to mine
what other card do you have?
not sure if its worth it going out and getting such a overpriced card for mining tho? what do you think?
3070FE
5โฌ per day sometimes
I don't think 100W is necessary to mine on those
whats original psu
Properly set up each card will pull 135W MAX
850W fine then?
EVGA G3 850W rn
Even if you mine on one while gaming on another
what are some other factors that might affect the mining efficiencies?
yeah just keep that one for now
Oh perfect nice
upgrade it if you get a 3080/3090
Provided you have enough power cables for them
i should also probably get a new power supply soon before return window closes xD
My 3070 was โฌ720 in a month or so, I've already made 120ish back
um seems nice, but i need better psu
Gotta remember, mining pulls nowhere near TDP
3060TI and 3070 should be 130-135 W mining
I have plans to convert that build to a mining rig
how mcuh power does a 3060ti need?
1000W is meant for more cards
Less than 200W for a 3060TI
I've been running mine on a 600w evga w1 psu until a few days when i get the chance to change cases and psu to 750w
Mine is 120w
lemme see if i can return it
For a 3060?
or 3060TI?
its all universal so you don't have useless ports
really?
Provided you have enough PCI-E cables it's fine
LOL
you'd have to fill like every sata port and m.2 slot in order to overload that PSU
prob do
lol alr
now, finding a gpu..........
๐
Thars the hard part lol
yea lol
and there are no other factors that might affect the efficiencies right?
also can cpu mine along with gpu?
don't bother
CPU mining is terrible
oh
it says the 10th gen i5s can make arond 0.5 cad
a day
so its not terrible
Also not worth it. 50 cents a day
um yea tru alr
