Hi,i dont know what to get for my pc because of what is going on with the prices and out of stock, i have a 1361 usd budget and i do gaming and simple video editing ( content creation) i live in united arab emirates so if u could find parts in uae and under 5000dhs which is like 1361 dollars that would be amazing and my pc color sheme is white-silver and RGB

Is there any way for you to get a gpu in the UAE
Cause if you were in the us there are some ways but idk about the uae
i'm trying to get 2nd hand from https://dubai.dubizzle.com/
dubizzle is your leading free classifieds website in Dubai to buy, sell and find anything. Find a properties, cars, jobs, or items for sale in Dubai.
idk wich case to go with should I go with the nzxt h710 or the meshify 2 compact?
Meshify
k
My phone can’t open that link
oops i typed it wrong
Oh so just Craigslist but in uae
exactly
Yeah used locally probably best bet if you can’t do Newegg shuffle, my advice though is get the gpu first and the rest of the parts later
uhh is 2060 good for video editing since in newegg uae it isn't that expensive
How much is it for you
I'd buy it for 300 max
Not worth more than 300 usd
2928 dhs
Isn’t that like more than half your budget
yes, i could buy the other parts for cheap since i can find everything easily other then the gpu
what about this
No that won’t be good for gaming or video editing
Nope
What video editing software do you use
That's 800usd
oh
For that 2060
Don't bother buying a non rtx 3000 series / rx 6000 series from retailers you'll need to look at ebay
does anyone in here lives in uae so he can help me to find me pc parts, or just tell me the shop
You won't find any 2k gpu new for a decent price
If you want a 2k series I'd start looking used and hope you get lucky, which is probably not gonna happen
buying a pc these days is as hard as getting a bitcoin
You can also look at 5700xts or something although they're selling for like 800$
True, all you need is a Gameboy XD
but u need to pay like 10 times even more so u can buy a pc to mine with it
Don't neeeed a pc to mine bitcoin, it's not even profitable to mine bitcoin with a pc anymore anyway, you need an asic for bitcoin, ppl with gpus are mining Ethereum or other alt coins btw
really?
ohhhhhhhhhh
I can buy a Bitcoin if I wanted to technically rn on coinbase
Very slow and not profitable but someone did it
Or if you mine with nicehash, you mine Ethereum or other alt coins and auto converts to bitcoin for you
oh
sheesh how long did it took that guy that mined one
You don't mine a singular crypto of any kind, when you mine you get tiny pieces of it
Would a 650W psu be enough for a build with ryzen 5 3600 and rx 6800xt?
its the rm650x
Okay, thanks. I had gotten the psu for my build and then unexpectedly got a rx6800xt so I just wanted to make sure it would still work
Thanks, it took me like 3 months but I can finally do my first ever build 😄
It'll be worth the wait. 6800XT rivals 3080 in pure FPS
Yeah, I'm excited and can't wait until it arrives!
Going from a laptop to pc will feel amazing
I expect to be amazed
Yeah, 1440p
Nice, that's what I game with
650w is recommended for the 6700xt so idk
165hz
It'll be fine
600W recommended
Really?
Not sure why they saying 700W for 6700XT because that's just overkill
Ohh yeah they say 650w for 6800xt okay
Why do they also say 650w for 6700xt then lol 🤦
I have no idea but it's silly XD
Most modern PSUs have x50w varients so
450 550 650 750 850
Manufacturers usually just choose from the list yaknow
Yeah
Sweet
i need help installing my cpu
im installing an intel and i put the cover on but when i put the arm down it feels like i am going to break it
ok
It's keyed, will only fit one way
it is requiring a lot of force though
so double check then hammer down
and i hear like snapping
intel socket fights you to the death
ok
got it
intel socket is that drunk guy at the pub that picks a fight with you for literally no reason
lmao
the cpu really only fits in one way thanks to the little cutout in the substrate
Yes
so if it's in the socket and doesn't wiggle then your placement is fine
cracking sounds are also normal
i believe it is the clips on the black socket cover getting released
but not 100% sure on that
Can someone help me use ddu too get a clean install on drivers
Download it. Restart windows in Safe Mode. Run DDU, check the boxes for your GPU brand and choose Clean and Restart.
how do i do safe mode
Find out how to boot into safe mode in Windows 10 from Settings, the sign-in screen, and a black or blank screen.
First article drop down menu
do i have too manually reinstall drivers or does ddu do it
Yes, you can reinstall that also
After ddu
That will do it all for you if you DL that
Just go there when you're done
Where do I get ddu
Guru3D.com
Here you can Download Display Driver Uninstaller, this Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, with...
4
I just click f4 right
Uncheck everything but nVidia
General even
Yeah
Do I remove phsyx
can't see checks XD
yep\
yeah clean and restart
Ok
I clicked it and now its grey
Lmao
Do I stay in safe mode when I install drivers
I don't think it worked
I still have geforce experience
You'll have ;GeForce experience
just not GPU drivers
and go back to regular windows
How do I exit this
Should just be Windows Icon - Right Click - Restart
It just did it by itself
Umm
Ok
Wait so If I still have geforce can I install geforce again
Im sorry
Just open Geforce again and INstall drivers
dEEZ NUts
Yah
Thanks for your help on the 3rd, and anyone else who helped. I had the pc that wouldn't do anything, I finally figured out the issue. The motherboard wasn't working whatsoever, just got my replacement MB and tested it, working! Thank God! And I got my money back so I'm not out of pocket anything!
Any setting I should change that may have reset
YW
Did you reboot after installing the new driver, and set all the options it needs?
GeForce Experience, Driver Update tab, check for updates?
Nvidia broadcast
I know I'm saying check Geforce experience for driver update?
Or driver installation>?
Ah, might have to reinstall Broadcast as well
I've never used it so IDK
I have latest geforce driver it says
Ok, reinstall Broadcast then
I think I fixed it
Is this good?
yes
Was 679 a good price for it?
ehh not the best but with current market not too bad
Good combo
not bad
I have the same
pretty good
What does the fps look like?
Powers my 165hz monitor just fine XD
what settings?
140+ is typical at 1440p
Ok
it really depends on game tbh tho
Yeah
anyone got recommendations for a white prebuilt that goes for 1100 with atleast a 2060?
this dell had a 10400 and 2060 for sub 800 yesterday.. idk if it still is there - https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/desktop-computers/xps-desktop-special-edition/spd/xps-8940-se-desktop
christ
the codes not available anymore
And here i was 3 months ago thinking the stocks gonna be fine by march or april
looks like ill have to kiss an upgrade goodbye this summer
is it good enough for 1440p gaming at full detail?
Now I wait to get my hands on a 5600x when those come back in stock.
3070 + 3700x
what proc?
processor
okm cool. cos ive been debating 5600x / 3700x / 5800x
yes, but I am drawn to the more cores of the 3700
and 5800 is a bit expensive
I'm kind of stuck running 1080p since that's the monitor I have. (Look, when I bought it last year I was originally aiming for a 1660 Super. Then I talked myself into aiming for a 2060 Super. Then got convinced to wait... but I bought the monitor when it came in stock.)
Amd restocks Thursday night or something
nah, I do some productivity too
also.. and this is just a quirk, it tickles me pink that the processor and my gpu will have the same characters (3700 / 3070)
its a sign
At least with 12 GB of video memory of a 3060, I won't have to worry about my computer choking on graphics anytime soon.
Cyberpunk is not really my thing.
I mostly like fantasy games. I will dabble in scifi sometimes, but the cyberpunk aesthetic has never really appealed.
There's some graphic effects I turn off because I find them obnoxious even if my GPU can handle it. (Bloom being a major offender)
So I just bought a Prebuilt PC... and booted it up and started playing, do I need to do anything special to it?
came with some CD's but I have no CD slot... pretty sure everything came pre installed
Hey guys which ram do yall think I should get it’s either this one https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232897?Item=N82E16820232897&nm_mc=AFC-RAN-COM&cm_mmc=AFC-RAN-COM&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_source=afc-PCPartPicker&AFFID=2558510&AFFNAME=PCPartPicker&ACRID=1&ASID=https%3A%2F%2Fuk.pcpartpicker.com%2Fproduct%2FXv4BD3%2Fgskill-trident-z-royal-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c16d-16gtrsc&ranMID=44583&ranEAID=2558510&ranSiteID=8BacdVP0GFs-qWbYpoM4DsnFU9ZNXbkTxQ
Or this one
CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO Series DDR4 overclocked memory lights up your PC with mesmerizing dynamic multi-zone RGB lighting, while delivering the best in DDR4 performance.
So far I’m thinking the first one cause I think it’ll go better with my case but I dunno
@urban light are you in the US or UK
Uk
Likely Corsair or others, Newegg usually charges a decent bit on shipping to non-US
In general, Corsair ram relatively sucky
But good nuff
Aight one sec Inma check
Xotic should be good.
The shipping is included in that price
thanks
I'd get Royal if it's vat inclusive
can't buy a gaming laptop with bitpay?
Can't really tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing
The screen DEFINITELY is junk
Haha all good
Its my space parts zombie
*spare
Some, the hardest part was cutting the plexi glass for the case cover. After that everything kinda just fell in place. Its a low budget kinda thing. It has a 7700k and a 1050 ti and 12gb DDR4 (odd amount I know). I use it at LAN parties and to chill on the couch or something. Use wifi/Bluetooth with headphones or the screen does have speakers
1080p 60hz screen, cheap but does the job
128gb M.2 with Dolphin emulator and Rocket League and play some Escape from Tarkov on it, but not all that great. Beats carrying around my large pc
Hello. So i bought this.
Oh no..Why am i unfortunates
I'm here for spec comparison. I was told the skytech was better.
Or was
with the situation is rn, cant blame anyone for getting prebuilts
I originally had this but had problems
So I'm trying this and was told its better for gaming
At least I didn't have to go the route of a prebuilt. Once I snag a CPU, everything else is in stock already and should come relatively easily.
i was gonna look up the price of a 3070 rn on newegg but nope not even in stock
and in my country the 3070s are going for 2 grand, so i suppose the pc was fairly priced
Finished my first build a couple days ago and just got on, and every app/program I have downloaded, every time I try to open any of them, I get a “procedure entry point WaitCommEvent could not be located in the dynamic link library.” Anyone have any idea why or what to do to fix?
I have already warned the family to watch for the GPU delivery so it doesn't get left on the porch too long. (Not really a high crime area, but still. Valuable and delicate part that doesn't need to be left out in the open any longer than necessary)
Did it mention a file by chance? Like VCRUNTIME140.dll or anything?
C:\windows\systems32\kernel32.dll
I also ran a scan in system32 through command print, which says I had corrupt files and it has repaired them, if that means anything.
I also haven’t bought a key for windows yet.
I just bought a gaming laptop, then received an email an hour later that I now have store credit for the amount I just bought it for?
but when I sign into my account it says it's suspended
wtF?
what site?
new egg
i did
Ok, so just wait a bit until they can help tou.
ahh dang ok
No one else here can.
thank u
Welcome!! No one here is staff. :(
Hey everyone, so I have some items listed in my cart to build my next PC. It'd be cool if someone could run through my choices and give me any advice
Go ahead and list it off. You'll usually get good advice here.
Alright just a sec
LIAN LI LANCOOL II BLACK Tempered Glass ATX Case -Black Color -LANCOOL II -X
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M2B3200C16
Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 2TB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNW020T8X1
Intel Core i9-10850K Comet Lake 10-Core 3.6 GHz LGA 1200 125W Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630 - BX8070110850K
CORSAIR RMx Series RM750x CP-9020179-NA 750W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply
ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI LGA 1200 Intel Z590 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard
Hyper 212 no please. That won't keep the 10850K cool at ALL
No Intel 660p, get a Mushkin Pilot E instead
You're going to need a better cooler for the 10850K
and since you're going for a fairly decent build
id get 32 gigs of ram in total
I'm also trying to pick the most ethical companies, so avoiding MSI for instance, but it's a bit of a minefield
Well, that's a very very wacky area
Yes but if anyone knows, in addition to which is the better performing part, which is the better ethical company that'd be even better!
Pretty much every PC part manufacturer has done something stupid.
But, also, you should use
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
Not ethical, "most ethical", it's a curve
Reason: Bad word usage
last time i checked intel gets their sand from child labor
would definitely say amd is more ethical lol
Everyone does something weird and wack, so I don't really take it into account lel
Exactly
amd was not the one making deals behind closed doors to make sure their competition didn't get OEM deals
Regardless, the SSD and CPU cooler need to go
and more ram, 16 gigs gets filled pretty easy these days
What's up with the m.2?
Depends really
intel 660p just offers less than same priced competition
@tranquil marsh by the way where are you buying from
mushkin pilot-e
Buying from newegg
the 660p is just meh
it doesnt last as long as other ssds of the same caliber afaik
so its worse
Currently picking intel to avoid Samsung
The intel is just slow at everything compared to others
bought a gaming pc like 2 months ago no problems, now I am having issues buying a damn laptop?
We don't recommend samsung either, overpriced
c'mon
Nice, pilot e is there, but you should use pcpp if you can still buy from all retailers
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
I'm only going with 16 gigs of RAM for right now in my build.
Well, Mushkin makes Pilot E, not samsung, as a side note
you can configure pcpp to only search newegg btw
Ya
Pcpp is just so much nicer to share things and see things
Because a lot of pc part picking has to do with price to performance
No longer a snail , cool name haha
And you cant really compare things without knowing a price
my old profile picture was a snail
I can see how that would have been funnier
For example, this is a rough idea of my build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3Bdfgt
Nothing is final save the items marked purchased. (Because I've had the purchased items too long to send them back.)
So my picking criteria is ethics/performance/price, in that order. I think ethics should be included, but it's a very little discussed topic, so it's awkward to bring it up for that reason. HOWEVER, I would like to pick a slightly worst performing part from a nicer company IF POSSIBLE, even if it's just slightly nicer
its impossible to check just how ethical a company is
they all hide things
(it's too much going on for us to really consider it for most companies, if you don't like any companies for whatever incidents, you'll need to point it out)
NOctua cooler
Okay, the 3060 is on its way... but still not returning that either. Because who knows if I'd get another GPU this year.
Evo 212 is better than what they put into alienwares. not good enough?
NOt even close
I opened an alienware, it had a tiny black fan over it's cpu. nothing else
with miniature heatsink
They use the latest cpu's?
Thats like a little duct that directs air to the cpu
but its a pointless matter rn
The 10850K is hot CPU
Prebuilts are notorious for cheaping out on coolers.
212 isn't sufficient
Are you saying 10th gen is that much hotter running than 8th?
yes
I opened up one with an i7, prob a few generations older
welp thats what happens when you go 14nm+++ (and a few more pluses)
new egg says 125w though?
I am engaging with the advice, thank you
CPU draws up to 265 watts
The be quiet fan looks pretty good
TDP ratings are useless
They only rate base clocks, not boost clocks, for both AMD and Intel
How good is the MSI MAG CORE LIQUID 240R - 2x120mm for cpu cooling
THe Intel 660p has poor performance compared to other NVME drives, really poor
You think mushkin is better?
So I'm upgrading from a regular SSD, which means I'll probably be blown away by the speed either way right?
M.2 is something like 10x faster than an SSD or something?
Not much difference between a Sata SSD and NVME for day to day use or loading times
That's surprising for a new tech
So am I missing anything or is anything incompatible aside from a few better parts?
But from what I'm seeing, the INtel 2 TB is actually more expensive but slower
$225
Mushkin $215
Well nvme and sata ssds in standard or m.2 form factor are around the same price anyway so much as well go m.2 in most cases
COnsider the 212 to be incompatible.
You'll cook that 10850K with it lol
(Just because it fits doesn't mean it's designed to work together)
Hmmm, so that "be quiet" one, which is a bit pricier would do though?
Dark rock pro 4 from be quiet is good
Yea, NH-U12a, Fuma 2, etc, all decent options over a 212 that'll cool a 10850
Or nhd15
I don't like d15 and drp4, sometimes blocks ram, annoyin
Fair, but isn't it better than the u12a?
Only slightly
Fair
I'm looking at dark rock pro, it looks enourmous, which is fine unless it blocks ports etc
Well atm the d15 is like 30$ less as well
U12A is $110! what
lemme check, it was back to 100$ a bit ago
I just checked
Something like that yeah
aw damn
That's why i was say d15 better
u12a price sad
D15 HUGE tho
Artic liquid freezer 280 if fits case
d15s is decent
People get a little obsessed with cooling though lol
I mean I know it's important for longetivity, but people hyper focus on it like with PSU too
You'll thermal throttle tf out of a 10850k with a 212 for example
eh
What about my RAM?
What's your ram?
The mobo is top notch from what I can see, but
When you put a 100W cooler on a 250W CPU, it's an issue
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M2B3200C16
There's a reason the Dell/HP prebuilts perform poorly lol
Depends on the price, would you consider using pcpartpicker.com for your list tho
That's what confuses me, is how all the prebuilts have.... really basic cooling
But then all the buildings have like... mazes of liquid nitrogen around their house haha
They cook
The builders
Btw what price is the ram you got? Because it's only good at right price
Cool
ANd those prebuilts get hot, really hot, and restrict CPU useage
And cases worse airflow than nzxt xd
That's why we don't recommend those prebuilts
But people who don't know better likely don't need the performance anyway
Lian Li LANCOOL II-X ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port, but the Asus ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI ATX LGA1200 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port will not be usable.
The case has more ports than the Mobo?
No, it's more that the motherboard is missing one of the types of USB headers
USB has so many standards it's very annoying
There's your usual usb 2.0 header, then the usb 3.0 header, then separate usb 3.1 and 3.2 headers
What is a header exactly?
Oh got it
So if I used this case, then some of the USB ports would be dead because there is no where for them to go on the board itself?
Just the front panel Type C won't be connected
Basically, but just the usb 3.2 or whatever it was
The USB Type A's will be connected (traditional USB ports)
Should I switch the board or the case maybe, for compatibility?
USB 3.2 connectors like that are still fairly rare. Only switch if it bothers you and you absolutely HAVE to have the Type C connector
The case is future driven then
Kind of, yes
Also, remember, this is about case front panel usb ports, there's a bunch of usb rear panel ports
So when building a PC, it doesn't need to be perfectly matched up...
Like for example, this is the mobo that's in your list, look at all dem usb ports on the back
Not for that kind of stuff, generally.
Do you think you there is a better board though?
The USB ports on the front will work too, just not the Type C
By ASUS specifically
There's boards that make more sense pricing wise
WHy not Z490?
since z590-e is kind of the 300$+ really expensive board bracket
I mean, isn't smth like z490-a 150$
I'd like to be able to keep the build for 10 years without getting a new mobo and have pretty good functioning with games etc
That's why I chose the higher end mobo
It's the main bottleneck it seems over time
Motherboards... Really don't hold their values like that imo
MOtherboards aren't really a bottleneck. Both Intel and AMD are changing sockets next gen anyway
Right now I have an 8 year old mobo or something like that, and the only thing stopping the upgrade to a GTX 3080 is the outdated PCE bandwidth
@muted patio 180$
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-z490-a-pro-socket-1200-usb-c-gen-2-intel-atx-motherboard-pcie-gen-2/6436464.p
Uh
Remember MSI is a no go
Right MSI is pro slavery
let's not go there
ASUS is the one company I was able to verify as making moves to stop child labor
alright then
Just keep it to you don't like MSI
annoying pricing
I'm using MSI right now, but then I found out ASUS was better for the world
MSI afterburner is fun
Hello....I am looking to run 20 or BlueStacks instances , looking for recommended gpu, cpu
But it's not loss, ASUS makes functional things too
What are you running on the Bluestacks instance? Those like cores, lots of cores
@sand falcon If you're around, I think you could help here
Evony game
Mobile game
Also why are gpu hard to find....almost triple price
Thanks I will wait for the answer , feel free to Pvt message Bob
Yeah, that's out of my realm
Was thinking AMD 12
I do rmemeber him saying bluestacks is resource intensive
Cuz you need to run not only that but also the game
Yeah...
Lol
I think if tweaked correctly you can achieve some good results
At the same time not doing to spend 5k
Definitely need good gpu
It's not just bluestacks tho, it's also the game requirement
Game is android
20 instances of not only a VM but also the game itself
Yeah bluestacks is kinda like VM
Right. So you'll need to run that then the game on top of it
If the game takes 4 GB of ram on your phone, it'll need that in the VM too, for example
Then the VM on top of it
Yeah that's why looking for sme answer
I don't want over or under spend and have issues
You're honestly looking at either INtel HEDT processor or Threadripper
and thousands of dollars
for a game
aMD 12 core? Won't cut it
Not for 20 instances of the game, no
Need at least 1 core per bluestack instance
bare minimum
So that's 20 cores right there
To be honest, I'm thinking threadripper chip
up to 64, probably a 32 core varient, how much are you willing to spend?
It'd be 2k just for the chip, but it's a possibility, I'll make a list around it, 32-core 3970x:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0815JJQQ8
How about pay as u go
Start low Chip
And invest
But need mother board which be future proof
Here's the thing
TR chips are on a completely separate platform
with a different board basically every generation
Yup
So I have to but the MB agai
So yea...
Hmm that sucks
They should have decent motherboard be able to handle both
What about GPU
3080 xt?
Or lower will do as well
I mean, what are you trying to display..?
Be back ....but feel free to IM , perhaps BOb have diffent opinion
Bot
Which then rallies
Automatically
Its Python based bot
yea
I mean how do you want to display it
like a single monitor and you just split it down into each instance taking a portion of the screen
or like 20 monitors
btw, I'm talking about Ryzen (cheap consumer stuff) not going anywhere near Threadripper stuff, afterall, just the socket size is wayyy different, tr40x socket is like twice the size of a normal am4 socket
Well, this is basically what you'd be looking at
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DmHZ3Z
ram is expensive, board is expensive, psu is sadly expensive
lots of people mining
uh
aw even revolt pro is actually out of stock
Lol
RMi has been out of stock for
like half a year
I've been watching the Corsair store page
Seriously?
Yeah but gpu is also hard to find
the RM1000i
It's a great PSU for decent-high-end
I look at it every time a build needs 1000w
I'm trying to get an H700i but NZXT's Website doesn't even have a price listed. I'm not sure if its sold out or removed since the Ninja version of it witch is out of stock has a price listed. Anyone able to help?
and every time it's been out of stock
Poo
@muted patio well, much less than half a year, went oos in early February, seemed like forever ago :P
Thnx
@modest shell Anyways power supply is basically just out of stock, should be 200$ for a decent 1000w unit but, 400$ is a good enough placeholder price since there's like none nowadays
Gotcha
though, with a 3070, it might be able to do 850w, I was looking at 3080 at first
Card is also not available
might be able to, I don't really want to use that option unless necessary
ofc
GPUs are gonno
Does anyone know a good alternative to the H700i? I looked at the H710I but it didn't come in the color I wanted.
Corsair 4000d/5000d :P
Airflow versions very superior but that assumes you don't mind openish front
Nope, any brand GPU will fit
Okay thank you
whats a good 204 pin so-dimm ddr4-1600 2x8gb ram kit?
1600?
yes
max mine can handle is 1600
Hey I'm in queue for Linus's Vag cuz 5900x idk if I'm gonna buy but I'm not supposed to refresh right?
wat
@stoic island @muted patio these are what im looking at rn
The first one isn't ram, that's a GPU
The second one is fine
im upgrading my gpu as well
i have dual 670M
new integrated Vega might be faster
with a intel i7-3840QM
What laptop is this in?
It's not bad, but it's not good either
https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/GeForce-GTX-980M-vs-GeForce-RTX-2060-with-Max-Q-Design-vs-GeForce-RTX-3060-Laptop-GPU/2976vs4199vs4342
comparison with some more modern laptop gpus
cant use anything above 980m
Anyone know if I'm supposed to refresh in queue or not?
ill manly be using it as a mobile workstation/ mobile gaming rig
nope
ill mainly be playing borderlands 2, some battle.net games, and such
nothing big
That's what i thought I've been waiting a while tho feel like all are gone tho
my dad used it up till a few years ago until he needed to upgrade to run a server
prob
anyone got a link for a streaming build for 1500 - 2500 USD?
@stoic island @muted patio keep in mind, was made in 2013, and the thermal paste was changed for the first time yesterday
ye
kinda hard with gpu prices like they are
Like i don't wanna click off if there's a chance thoo
yeah that's what I feared, it's needed pretty quickly though
what game you trying to play?
I;m helping a friend build a PC for streaming
ahh
He's going to be streaming stocks on twitch mostly
some of the software can be pretty intense
as in stock market?
yeah
ahh
wack
streaming makes it wack
stock software generally works nicely with just cpu perf
that was my assumption
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QwcMnQ/pny-video-card-vcggt7102xpb this is all i can find in stock
more cpu intensive
unless you factor in ebay and facebook marketplace .....
cpu, maybe a 5 3600 or the intel equivalent would be better
i used to stream games and watch netflix while playing browser games on a 3600
at 1080p and 144hz max too
thats cool
You can't look at just in stock gpus especially 710 will do nothing
ik
thats why i said thats all i can find in stock rn
You want to get a gtx 1000 series or above for the envenc encoder
A 58/5900x would be better suited
issue with 1000/2000 is that they are no longer produced, atleast 2000 series ik for a matter of fact
They can get used tho
so...good luck finding a decent priced one
find a 2000 series used for under $800
i dont think so
software aint my thing
Looks like there's still hope
cause a 5800x, plus all the other compoments will leave very little wiggle room for a $800+ gpu with a 2000 budget
oops pinged wrong message
Doable
barely
budget could be up to $2500
You can get a 3060 for 500 from shuffle / best buy droos
what best buy you at?
all 5 around me sell out instantly
and thats just in a 20 mile radius
also zotac dropping frequently
Their online but it's doable
ive been trying since they dropped and have had no luck. im there waiting as they get in stock. by the time i get to checkout theyre sold out
Well shuffle then
and now microcenter is no longer allowing nighly camping
you can begin a line 15 minutes before opening
Tbh a 1650 would do fine you just need encoder
miner gang here
Are you serious right now???
i guess
rules read no sell/advertising
technically you didnt advertise
i asked
Might as well
Not allowed either
do you have any reason why you think sara should do it or are you just basing it off the idea "profit"
sara didnt advertise
no, not arguing
Thanks.
You are. I said not allowed.
Basically i mean might as well make an extra 6 dollars a day or so until it sells
Please don't give that advice if you don't know the requirements to do that kinda stuff because if saras room is on a shared breaker and too much wattage is being pulled its not gonna work
Ohh that's not a problem in europe my b
no it is a problem in europe you just have to pull way more due to your standard being 240v
wouldnt a surge protector prevent major damage?
its not damage
also truth
its that it will turn off in seconds
Ahh i see
most that can happen is data corruption
also, my desktop just randomly shutoff and turned back on. should i be worried?
Also at least in Ireland, each room is seprperated so not shared between rooms
they still are wired through the same breaker though right? or does every room come with its own breaker box?
Same breaker box but each room has a separate fuse
breakers and breaker boxes are different
yeah
my house has one box, but each room SHOULD have its own fuse
again, should, whoever did the wiring did it randomly
why is my room and the fridge on the same fuse?
Oof, well yeah to my knowledge each room has a separate breaker
Kitchens are supposed to have thicker cables n stuff so they can hold fridges, freezers ovens and dishwashers at same time tho
room and fridge are on the same breaker and fuse, my room and living room are on same breaker but different fuse
Weird
yes, but only the fridge is paired with my whole room
That's v weird
yeah
i have a chart of what fuses go to what if you want to see
itll, make your brain hurt/ just as a disclaimer
Newegg shuffle is a joke
Darkens won about 6 times iirc
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GHPdTJ is this an okay build?
dont go for that cpu
no hyperthreading
it's old
yea
looks like a 2 year old list
newer cpu and gpu needed?
so yesterday i was having a issue with my games being fuzzy and blurry but i fiqured out its only certain games
what could it be
motion blur?
i asked you if it was on all games and you said yes yesterday
no I have nothing at the moment
list changing time then
then go like 10700k and z490
completely new everything
that whole list is bad imo
I'll just critique on the basis of the list, old cpu, bad cooler, wacky storage setup, bad case, bit bad gpu, no need for that many fans, not good psu, the mic seems too expensive, keyboard might want a different option
idek what it could be i have checked cables and used ddu
so basically the whole list lol
lmao
cables wouldnt cause it to only happen on some games
ik
hey I left the monitor alone
I just need a basic something for $2k
so only games are warzone rust and tarkov
xD
you can do a lot better assuming GPU at msrp for 2k
streaming? gaming?
what you wanna do with it?
can be upgraded later
bruh
streaming
ryzen go make a build plz
oke
ok ill go do that
can a 3080 and 10700k really fit that budget?
ye
ill go 5600x tho
since 3080 will handle the stream mostly
you need wifi or no?
wow I thought a 3080 would be hella expensive right now
yeah wifi needed
ok
Guys
basically, best buy is your best friend for msrp gpu
Whats the best Mouse pad ?
depends heavily on yourself
Well tbf you can get a 10700 for like 230 i believe
As mr11 said depends but i like steelseries's QCK heavy line as i like my mousepads thick
and also should i get the 5 5600x or the i5 11600k?
If you can fit 5600x in budget he's, if not get a 10400 or 1400
qck is nice for thicc
Unless you plan on overclocking
I think the glorious ice and fire one is good for moderate
I do enjoy thicc pads
Nice support for your arm imo
ok
so heres a list with a freezer ii aio
could def go with air cooler if you wanted to save some money, altho freezer ii is rly pretty good value in aio land
that looks awesome
well what price are they compared to each other?
i didnt add in peripherals and stuff
thats more of a personal choice
Can save money on mobo too by going atx and a wifi adapter if they need
bios flashback bruh
@fossil cedar I'm using qck for now, maybe too heavy for me
that list has a 5600x on it
gotchya
mr1 what you think of my list?
But tbh the main bit i was saying was atx all the way, i went matx in a atx case and i regret
I don't like the board for another board as you know ;)
mmmmmmmm
whats a cheaper b550 with bios flashback?
and considering you're over 2000$, I'd just grab like a se-224-xt and be done
Fair all up to preference ofc
@desert gulch smh the b550m pro vdh wifi
it actually has it?
ya I'm saying it's heavy
Didn't I tell you, or was it another guy that really liked the asus wifi board
prolly another guy
It be like 6mm thiicccc r something yes lol
@desert gulch and this
alrighty
May i ask why 32gb ram
if the price doesn't go down enough, case can go to a p360a
there we go
Yeah doesn't
but i mean for a 3080 and 5600x streaming build
for that budget for a streaming rig 32gb just makes sense
You'd be better off spending the money on an atx board imo can always upgrade ram
nothings wrong with that matx lol
and also, no good atx boards with flashback anywhere near that price @fossil cedar
Ik but as someone who has a matx and could have gone atx it's deff a downgrade and hassle
ye
Ahh fair
what featues are you missing rn then?
cheapest atx board with flashback would be like, dunno, b550-a pro at 150$
40$ higher
is sad
Well had to take out my Wifi bluetooth card cuz of my 3070 and only have access to one of my sata ports cuz even old just 2 slot gpu blocked them
sounds like just form factor isnt the issue, sounds like you got a crap board lol
Board is okay but there's nowhere else to put them lol
get a bigger case lmao
coulda got a board with wifi integrated
Well the gpu thing is because new gpu is 2.5 slot
and bigger board
.
I have atx case
105$ for a b550 with wifi lol
get a full size atx case
I only want the Bluetooth on the card tho lol I'm plugged into ethernet
Already have, it's just a matx board
That's not the point I'm saying if i went atx i wouldn't have this problem
what board?
B450m ds3h gigabyte
thats a tiny board lmao even for a micro atx
coulda got one with wifi in it for a little more lol
built in wifi comes with bluetooth as well fyi
ye
Wasnt sure
And yes ik but when i built it i didn't need the Bluetooth but now it's nice to hsve
then why use the card
if its build into board
It's not
When i built the pc i didn't need bluetooth
That's why i added the card after
But now it's nice to have because i acc have Bluetooth speakers/headphones I'd use from time to time with my pc
some cards come with BT
ik corsair bt headset comes with its own receiver too
thats an option
Not going to sell my mobo just to get a wifi board
You're completely missing the point tbh
well we're just saying if you spent 7 bucks more, it wouldnt be a problem
That's what i was saying but on a atx board and it was more like a 30 for atx and would have been 2x price for board with wifi i dont live in us btw
or 7 bucks more for something that would work fine but ye
Well when you're paying 2x the price for the mobo for WiFi I'd rather not
As i said, i don't live in the us so it was 2x at the time
sus
I looked at my options, my board was like 75 and the cheapest with wifi was like 150
if that was the case, you coulda gone atx and wifi card
but the matx we were putting in that list had wifi
which takes away the whole problem
they dont need any
they dontt need any more ports
they dont need a wifi card
they dont need a capture card
thats all you really can add in pcie slots
thats practical
Just saying from experience
And they could add pcie storage or audio if they wanted
can we just agree right now right here b550m pro-vdh wifi is a fair choice?
yes
Yes
nice
thats what im trying to explain lol
Ik I'm saying for me i would have benefited going atx
