Take your PC into a room that's 10c colder and your idle temp will go down about 10c, it's just how it is :P

Just crafted a new GPU anti-sag support out of an AIO thumbscrew and 3M rubber grip tape on both sides for friction and scuffing prevention. It's the cylinder looking thing between the fan and the 3070. So far it works great and won't budge at all unless I lift the card slightly to remove it.

Should I be worried about it falling into the QL120 fan any time soon, barring a major earthquake in my area?

The FTW3 3070 does not come with a sag bracket. Even if it did, I would have to remove the expansion card flap from my case to fit it in.

The card is not heavy enough to create a black hole with its mass but is heavy enough to sag a little, so that's why the support is there

I currently use Google's CoLab for my Machine Learning (it's great, they give you like $10K GPUs to compute on remotely, for free), but it'd be great to have an offline option. Well, it ended up being nearly $400 for the GPU. I think last year I was willing to go up to $1600 total, but would rather stay under that. (I have a case, keyboard, fans, mouse, and monitor already so don't need to buy those.)
