Not necessarily, buying second hand for over double what something is worth isn't right nor should anyone do it. At that point you're not doing yourself any favors.
This is the one in the shuffle
krisp is legit
ik
thats why i said they were false spams
on my test account there were so many spams lol
kids dont try to get free bobux
or that will happen
XD
see
ik krisp legit
ima go now
bye
bye
bye jianan
bye
What if people liked their keyboards without the keycaps on?
why
to run rust, csgo, minecraft, and all that stuff. will this be good?
i still need to get my gpu but i’m still looking so i dotn have it yet
like satisfactory?
yes
Satisfactory runs so smooth on mine
the GPU gonna be the bottleneck most of time
dope
even with vsync off
wym
lol it's not.
It's high quality in terms of gameplay
ah
not for graphical intensity
well, it was left on the open
Factorio runs just fine on my 8350u laptop, except for when too many bugs
lol
lol
Yeah because it's still in the early access stage there's a few or a small bunch of things that need to be fixed
id get cheaper ram
that stuff is way overpriced
Yes, I'm just showing example
i mean
most of the time the gpu gonna be maxed out instead of the cpu
Factorio is similar to Satisfactory in terms of gameplay, it's great, but graphical intensity is minimal
wut
what should i get but make sure it’ll fit
i would like cheaper but what should i use
abs make sure it’ll fit bc it’ll be a mess if not
@desert gulch
that ram isn't overpriced, ram prices are just increasing lately
there is same perf ram that is like $1 cheaper but it's also ugly red
oh ok
so yeah
all you need is the gpu
used 1080ti is currently ~700
every gpu price is messed up
ebay is more expensive than that
fr
that's r/hws price
ebay 1080tis are approaching 1k
used and new price is scuffed
rx 570 minimum is at 200$
just avoid ebay for gpus
did you not read what i just said
i did

but like
.
i don’t see them for 700 usually
you cannot get a cheap card on ebay rn
what ab a 1660
everything is overpriced
are you intentionally being dense or what
is that good
😭
is a 1660 fine
for running rust, csgo, minecraft, and what not
Yes it is
you have been told about this multiple times
depends on game bnut generally ye
ye but should do still be a capable card for med to high
on most titles yea
which one?
So would a 3060 be able to run 1080p 144fps in warzone? I’m worried it won’t and a lot of people seem to say it sucks
I just don’t know if they mean for gaming or mining.
should i get the i5 10400 or the i5 10400F
@winter rover are mic prices high rn?
?
Do you have a gpu?
mic its self not the whole headset
no
I got a blue snowball, stand and pop filter. For $80 on Amazon, great quality for the price
I was thinking about the blue yeti but someone told me it was bad and was only good for asmr
F means it lacks an intergrated graphics unit, so while the F is cheaper, if you don’t have a gpu it won’t display unless your motherboard has built in gpu
It’s not bad, just not the best for the price
yes, a 3060 will maintain 160+ fps in warzone at 1080p competitive settings
so if i get i5 10400 i wont need a gpu to do stuff like google stuff etc
I have a mic that a bought a year ago but it didnt work because aprarently I need an external power thing.
Define competitive
Right, gaming is a different story
If you get a 10400k it’s unlocked so if you needed to you could overclock it
i have a laptop rn so ill use that for games and the pc for school and stuff
I have a mic that a bought a year ago but it didnt work because aprarently I need an external power thing. @brittle tinsel
Right on
basically should be like low settings with max view distance or whatever
i don't play warzone so not 100% sure
ok
What mic
10600k, 10700k, 10850k, 10900k
Ah
also what would be a good motherboard for the i5 10400
Is b560 better than b550?
I paired a 3900x with a b550
...b550 is for amd
Ah
if you try to install a 10400 into a b550 board you will not have a good time
you will have an even worse time if you try to install a 3900x into a b560 board
if you install 10400 into b550 board it will not work
if you install a 3900x into a b560 board you will destroy both cpu and board beyond repair
do MSI boards work with i5-10400
manufacturer has nothing to do with it
msi makes boards that work with the 10400 and boards that do not work with it
If it’s b560
10400 is compatible with h410, b460, h470, w480, z490, h510, b560, h570, and z590 chipsets on the lga1200 socket
you should be looking specifically for b560 board
ok
I have the msi b550 tomahawk, but haven’t gotten to use it because my case, aio and boot drive were supposed to be here today but got delayed till tomorrow
Chances of winning Newegg shuffle ?
nobody knows
0 from what I finds l
i have won it 3 times
Damm
i see B560M boards is this the same thing?
It’s starting to seem fake to me xD
Aokeo AK-70
yes b560 and b560m are both b560 chipsets
@brittle tinsel
m means it is a smaller board
ah
I have no idea than bro, never heard of it. I’d say buy a new one if you can afford it
yes I got money rn Im just tryna find best one for value
newegg shuffle is definitely not fake i've won multiple things from it
just luck of the draw
It’s not studio grade but it’s amazing for the price, improved my stream and video quality (mic quality technically) by a lot
Wish me luck then I’m getting that 3060 for around 500$ instead Of 1.3k I saw on eBay
thanks @brittle tinsel
Yeah it’s 1200 for 3060ti about
and why are pc part prices high rn
3060ti is a lot better than 3060 though
True
3060 usually going for 900-1000 now
3060ti is close to 2080 super
3060 is cheaper tho XD
3060 is basically identical to 2060 super
cheaper in terms of price
more expensive in terms of price to performance
funny cause usually lower end cards have better price to performance
What can you expect from NVIDIA
i mean... nvidia usually follows that
The 6700xt is better right?
the 6700xt is an awful joke of a card
i bought a 3080 planning to play graphically intensive single player games
then i got a gf
wait really?
and the games we play together can run on a 1060
so i started mining so it wouldn't feel like i was completely wasting my 3080
Thats ok you are getting your investment
what does The motherboard M.2 slot #1 is listed as reserved for future use and is non-functional. mean
Getting 3080 correlates with getting gf?!!?!
it means that it's not begin used
it has similar raster performance to the 3060ti while having less features and being more expensive
lmao
it means you've put a 10th gen board in a 500 series chipset
oh wait, you talking about mining
the top m.2 slot in a 500 series board is meant for 11th gen only
Get a 3080 win a girl
so the ssd would not work?
the 6700xt loses to the 5700xt in mining lol
@winter rover you just can't use that slot, you can still use an ssd
we all started somewhere
i made several mistakes on my first build
heck, i forgot to plug in the cpu fan on my 25th build
and i was wondering why temps were so high in bios
then i realized it was suspiciously quiet
lol
I plugged in a fan to a speaker header on my 23rd build
:/
lol i saw a video where a guy plugged in a floppy power from his psu into a fan header
shorted out the board
fan header is expecting to give power not receive it LOL
LOL
link fro vid
sorry it was a long time ago idk
ill search it up
lol
And buy a wireless adapter without Bluetooth
but yeah some older psus still have floppy power connector
and it looks like a fan cable
so if you're new to pcs it's understandable to think it might be an option to plug into mobo so you can control the fan on the psu
luckily there is usually protection that will prevent such a mistake from causing permanent damage
i mean...you can make a decent gaming pc on 2021
the issue is gonna be the GPU
it's mostly really bad if you want high end stuff
@little osprey glizzy man
blurry wat fricc u want
Everything
false
Someone mind lending a hand in building a pc? First time builder here
Yeah what's your budget?
I may be able to
All the parts are in front of me, I have no idea what I’m doing anymore
ohh right
All previous knowledge has left my body
Already done that
then put cpu in
AMD correct?
Yea
Yea, don't force it
yo mr1 do you play beamng?
It’s in but it wiggles a little
Slow? Lightly?
yeah just put it down if you are sure cpu is fully in socket
sure
Only 1 side of the ram slots go down and it doesn’t look like the little middle points line up
ok
so flip ram around other way
so slot lines up
and only one side of the slot will open
I did, the one closest doesn’t seem to line up
And I don’t wanna apply to much pressure and break anything
you may need to flip ram around to line it up
Release clips and press hard
For the record I’m legally blind in 1 eye and can’t see center
It is correctly oriented
There are 2 kits of 2 (4 Simms) should I separate the kits by channel?
Same brand and speeds
So 4 sticks
Are they the same brand and model
Yeah
Ok then place all of them in order
They run in quad channel
I run my ram in tri channel
Ok ram is in, what next
have you put on the cpu cooler yet?
How do you take the glass off of the meshify to case?
carefully
Where are the screws
Yeah just be XL version
try turning the circle nubs
yeah take off thumb screws
Nothing like that. I don’t see any screws in line with the glass. The thumb Screws aren’t in line with the glass
In the glass?
might be on the back
Dark tint glass
looks hinged
to me
@ripe wedge saw this on a amazon review on that case
Cons
Cannot remove front panel filter without taking the door off which is mildly tricky. The hinges seems to be plastic which just makes me think I'll snap it off one of those days.
so looks to be hinged
front panel
From which side
?
I still don’t understand where to get access to swing it open
That planting thing that someone pointing out is held on by the glass and not attached to the case
As it appears
quick question you guys, am i still going to get charged even tho newegg cancelled my order and then return it, or am I not going to get charged at all. I haven’t seen anything lmao
are all these parts good?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WFZYYg
DM NeweggService and ask them, they can help you
thay ram is kinda expensive for 3000mhz but if you want it to combine with the build, go ahead i guess.
also he probably doesnt need those extra fans for a build like that
ok
id change some stuff, but theyd technically work fine
How do I remove the power supply shroud to install the hdds ssds and fans?
Nvm you can’t
Damnit
Guys
Witch cpu should i get ?
i7- 10700k 250$ or i5-10600k 190$ (BOTH AT MICRO CENTER)
or diffrent CPU
do you have a gpu?
What screws do I use to put the aio on the top panel?
no but im thinking of getting 3070
Probably 10700k
Do you stream or do any other core intense tasks?
long screws are used to screw the fans to the rad, the short ones attach the rad to the case
Gaming
Streaming wouldn’t be that core intensive cause of nvenc
The fans came attached (Arctic freezer 420mm) but there is like a million screws
Ok
oh
Correction a million and 1 screws
I ment to say gaming
All these came with the aio
Then I mean both would work, just depends on what price you want, some games like pubg may benefit from a better cpu but I don’t know how big the diff is on those 2
the bag on the right looks to be standoff screws for the cpu block
left bag is probably for screwing your rad onto the case
ok
The left bag has long, median and short screws
Medium
Mine didn’t come with a manual
damn
this is your aio?
this all work together?
oh yeah and also a 1660 super
that would fit right? i assume so
Yes
aight thanks
so if i bought all those parts rn i would be fine
bc i’m getting them soon
Yeah, just make sure there's enough fan headers on your motherboard or else you'll need a fan hub if you want to use all 5 fans
Okay, are you replacing the default fans in the case for the p12s i assume?
i need help picking the best parts for about 1100 aud dollars
Well uh
for 1100
The ssd and the psu
Are the bench marks out for 11700k
yeah aud currency
yeah ik lmao
@wicked frigate yes
could get a 10400f and 3060Ti with 1100 AUD
I would edit the list but I'm eating rn
and a actually good SSD
same
pcpp on mobile is annoying
Main issues: SSD crappy, PSU crappy
uhh 3060ti costs around 900
scalped or MSRP?
both
cause MSRP, when you get it, is def not that much
Iirc aud msrp is like 600
@stoic island I dm u
yeah its for a friend but i am not expert
i was thinking of adding in rx 5600 xt or 3060ti if i can find
hold up
Eh
hey 1111
Hi
Hm, notepad doesn't work I assume..?
Not familiar with the file extension, try to see if 7zip can do something to it maybe?
its an image
but nothing can open it
and its too big to convert without paying money
Aw
so I can open it in WeCAD?
Should be able to
where download
Ansel
wat
Nvidia Ansel
super resolution thing
in Witcher 3
64k image
wait no
im dumb
BxR is a combo in Halo 2
its EXR
omfg
im so dumb

Wat
They've been rising a good bit..?
like recently?
should i buy ram now?
I cant advise you to or not to
Do you need it?
Like... Buying a prebuilt..?
Price graph
It's not the best price history or particularly accurate but good general idea.
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2TFKHx/crucial-ballistix-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-bl2k8g36c16u4b
well thats pricey
Wat
Where's the gpu..?
Just edit in msrp
?
330$ for 3060, 400$ 3060ti, 500$ 3070, 700$ 3080, etc
is that what i should be looking for in certain gpu's
It's the lowest reasonable price you'll find them basically
i mean 3060's are like $600 so like
cant rlly do that smh
but thx
what ab a 1660
u thinkin like $200
or wut
eh
too pricey for what im loookin at
i might get a 1660 for now
upgrade later
u can upgrade gpu's right
liketake it out and replace it for a different one
If the PSU is sufficient, but the GPU should really be where most of your budget should be for gaming builds
custom loop water cooling?
You want prebuilt or build it yourself?
i think it depends on how much the monitor matters to you and what your preferences are for refresh rate, resolution, and response time. highest end gaming monitors cost over $2,000 USD if you really wanna go over the top with monitor selection
did you edit it?
edit it..?
yes the ram is over the top but my friend said hes gifting me a pair so i got these to match
can you please help me get a list in aud currency?
u can change the country to aud @little osprey
yeah or 1100
top right
yeah theres aud pc part picker
4K PC?!?!
got it
toss me some money 😏
are intel 10th gen cpus compatible with z590 chipset?
Thanks dude
yes they are @craggy spoke
ah ok
they are but i heard u dont get the full power of the mobo
Reason: Bad word usage
oof
without 11th gen u only use pcie gen 3 if im not wrong
i did the same thing
depends on the board
wait why is the AIB 3070 1700 AUD (~1200-1250 USD)
why not
thats the most blatant ripoff ive ever seen
well 4.5k max have fun with it. tyvm for your help and @ me. now its time for me to grind work so i can afford it lol
well thats actually reasonable
yeah australia has high prices on pc parts
Well, do keep in mind the market changes every other day, if you're not building it now, it might not be a good idea to make a list now, afterall, maybe tomorrow Intel will drop some very well performing parts, or some things increase in price, or decrease in price.
i was thinking of buying the parts slowly over the next couple of months
but i do really want to build it myself no matterwhat
yeah, thats why im waiting to upgrade to 30 series or rx 6000 series, because everything is overpriced or out of stock not to mention that people have stolen entire 3090 shipments off of delivery trucks
Lol, those are rumors and myths
Remember the meme post of a warehouse of 3090's being found in France or something?
lel
Lol
Yeah, exactly
Memories
the photoshop
yea that was great
If I was that good at Photoshop....
Then definitely wait to buy everything, come back again when you have the money, because all we can give you right now is an idea of what to make, not what you should make in a few months time.
i got the money
Buying parts in waves is not a good idea, as you first run the risk of parts arriving DoA with no way of testing it, and running outside of the return window, and you run the risk of new parts that are better for price and performance releasing after you bought a portion of your parts, etc.
i didnt consider that
currently trying to make something work for noot noot, but I'll get on with a 4.5k aud build soon
i should probs buy stuff together then
(DoA for Dead on Arrival)
yeah makes sense
yeh take ur time no stress
ok i really gtg work time
ty for the help
@little osprey Well, this is kind of a start, but the GPU for the price is quite sub-optimal, but I couldn't squeeze anything else in for <1200aud
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/QT96gt
It's just, meh.
prices kinda suck
Size depends on the exact card
haha yeah the prices in australia are ridiculous, but thanks for the help!
whats the avg size of it
You can't exactly generalize something like that
it would be a card to card comparison, for example, I dunno, EVGA 1660 SC Ultra against a MSI 1660 super gaming x
Uhhh can you put this in pcpartpicker
You got it?
I'm confused
I'm new to this
Sorry for being a inconvenience, but can you explain to me
I hate my phone and its inability to get any speeds over frustratingly low
Literally takes 2 mins to load pcpartpicker
weird
@abstract quest Welp, here's a start, 4000aud, aud pricing and stock is just wack, a bit too lazy to optimize it more.
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/K9dR9N
Water damaged iphone 7... im surprised its still even alive tbh
My psu won’t fit send help plz?
The screw on the metal grate is blocking it from going in
Yeah
You are putting the psu upside down
Fan go bottom
So air go out of case instead of into it
Meshify 2 xl, enermax df 850 psu
Bruh the psu won’t fit either way
I was showing it for the phot
Photo
Ohh
Well, try going at it the other way around (take off rear panel, try to install the PSU from inside the psu cover thing
I mean you are comparing a ryzen 9 with an i7... pretty obvious ngl
Also please dont dm people till you have asked them if its cool
Also
@brittle tinsel any luck?
Not really, does the shroud come off at all?
The PSU shroud doesn't seem to be removable
but can you fit it in through removal of the rear panel?
The back seems to be accessible from the Manual
But if the PSU doesn't fit that way, hm
What PSU and case is this? This is rather unusual
Same clearance on the side as the back
Meshify 2 I believe
Revo d.f.
@brittle tinsel could you send a pic of back of case without the psu?
Does the psu need to be mounted there?
That’s the best lighting I have, sorry
Bedroom light isn’t as strong anymore
That seems to be the correct spot
I don’t think it’s gonna fit. So much for building a pc
somethings off with that but if you sand down the grate a bit might fit
You definitely need to insert it from the back of the case but I’m kinda late to this convo
There was a lip that blocked it, it may not be “the right way” but I got it in. (Voided the warranty, but it’s in
@stoic island thanks so much for the list! I was wondering if you could please get a different case for about 100 aud dollars https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/QT96gt
My friend ask if he could please have a different case
And my friend also want a rgb case and fans
Yo can someone help me my computer freezes at startup
lemme check
Are these the screws that go into the mobo standoffs?
@stoic island those are second to the left on top. Those or the first on top?
Will it come with rgb fans?
@little osprey It comes with the front 3 rgb fans
Oh ok thanks
Do you think I can add in a 2 fan radiator?
@little osprey it fits up to 240mm aio top if that's what you're asking for, but there is absolutely NO REASON to get an aio for a 10100
When ever I start my I have to manually select the hard drive to start on
wat
@stoic island thanks for your help 🙂
:)
How is the raiting of the monitor "LG 27GN800"
27 inch, 2k, ips, 144hz, 1ms, flat, free sync and g sync
This is almost the same model https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/27gn850-b
Looks pretty decent overall, nothing fantastic about it, but the HDR isn't great and contrast is meh.
Man, yesterday's shuffle was sucky. Only one 3060 model and it was ridiculously overpriced.
They've been spreading things out I noticed. A couple of different models for the same GPU each day, different models every day, even though I'm sure they get them in large shipments.
The EVGA 3060 is priced okay, and there's an Asus model that while the price is a bit high, I don't consider it as ridiculous as yesterday's Gigabyte card.
I'm willing to pay up to about 400 dollars, but no more than that. Maybe 430 if the cooler was shiny enough. But nearly 500? That's insane for a 3060.
Yeah, I can't see a company somehow adding fifty percent more value out of the reference card
Unless you're throwing a water block or AIO onto a 3060
There's literally no point to water cooling a XX60 model, they don't get hot enough. Often a single fan is even enough.
I continue kicking myself over here for not buying a 2060 Super last year. Maybe it wouldn't have been as good as a 30 series, but it likely still would have been better than the laptop 1060 I am currently stuck with.
I will use it for photo-/video editing, would it be decent? Also for games
What are the effetcs of the HDR?
It's about an 8/10, so pretty decent but not the best of the best. I'd say a good balance between price/overall quality.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) makes it so blacks are blacker when they're close to whites. You won't notice it too much in games but if you watch movies it can make it look fantastic. The overall color vibrancy is improved, but this won't matter for editing much.
You can see more details on the pro/con list from the page I linked
all right, thank you for your effort
Is 400 dollars a good starting budget for building a pc?
No. 400 won't even get you a computer that uses integrated graphics.
what is a good price point?
600 bare minimum, if you're lucky and find a GPU under $100 which is like finding a unicorn in a haystack
Ok, thank you
No joke, a console is a better investment at that price range.
yeah, I've been using my dad's old computer at min graphics
Much harder to find than a needle
I assume 70 dollars is too cheap for a video card
$120 for 10100 unless you can get to a microcenter, then $100
$100 motherboard, if you're lucky
$60 case
$70 power supply (never cheap out on this, ever)
~$80 memory
$60 SSD
With a 600 budget that would leave you a little over $100 for a GPU depending on price variances
Right now you couldn't even find a 12 year old video card for $70
Happy to help
Windows 10 home or Windows 10 pro
Depends, do you want the "official" virtual machine support or other pro features?
If you're lucky you can find an r9 380 for that price on ebay
More like 100$ tho
Probs
I just want to play games and video edit
What's the TDP of a 380?
and do school work
Home is perfect for you then
ok
Home is fine, pro doesn't have many differences
Might have to make psu accomodations because of it
190W
Ah not so bad
Isnt it 240w or something?
Ohhh thought that said 3080
Yeah my 4gb r9 380 was about 190w

Max power draw is around 230 in furmark though
Guys would this 4 fan hub be okay? It doesn't have any sata power tho https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07LGWHHXV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_3W1YYCWG4Q163C4AG2F1 ?
So 240 sounds like what you might have seen for that
I read it as 3080 instead of 380 lol was like are you drunk XD
Well can't really blame you for that lol
I have one. works great
It depends on the fans, motherboard headers are usually rated at 1A
Hello guys, I'm 13 years old and I'm getting a £2000+ Gaming PC, I play Minecraft but I want to expand to other games. I'm pretty sure my list is good, but I want to double check, so here it is!
-> https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TYpsrr <-
looks good
Ok thanks 👍
I'd get a better case than that at least, like a fractal design meshify c
The one you picked is VERY basic
Hmm okay, I'll just get a 10 fan one with sata then, unless, do you know if the 4000d airflow comes with a fan hub? I doubt it
The 5000d does but not 4000d
Ahh okay thought so
Lianli lancool ii mesh
That's another good one for the price yeah
how does this look?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hJNCPV
Gammaxx 400 or any Noctua U12 will be cheaper and better performance than the 212
Otherwise looks good
ok
Same advice on cooler as above
Get a 3060ti for that price, the 3060 models are almost as much
You don't need 32GB for gaming, but if you're doing video/3D editing it's good
Don't pay full price for that Windows key, a cheap ebay key from a reputable reseller works fine
I see, thanks. I’m still looking for a different gpu, but that’s the only one I’ve been able to actually buy at msrp, so I jumped on it. If I find another, I’ll cancel that order. In coming from a laptop with a MX150, so anything is going to be a massive improvement for me. Is G2A generally a bad place to get keys for windows? I’ve read that they’re usually not legit or likely bought with stolen credit cards or whatever.
Oh if you already got it then stick with it, you won't get another chance probably
If you check reviews on the ebay sellers, you can usually see very quickly who the good ones are. If there's only a couple problems out of hundreds of sales, not a bad seller. Also make sure they have recent sales, to check for hijacked accounts.
This is an example of an OBVIOUS SCAM

so i have a laptop rn when i build my pc can i use the laptop as a temporary monitor until i get a real monitor?
No. Laptops are (99% of the time) output only, no input. Same with tablets and such.
You can use a TV, either an old one you have lying around or your main living room one.
im on a $920 tax and all do you think i should upgrade anything?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Rg9Yg
Can someone help me with what wires go where?
I’m though I had it in the bag but the motherboard cable had 36 pins it seems
im new to pc's but you might be able to look it up on yt
you do get a manual with your motherboard telling where X go X
In deed, I’m having trouble where they go on the back of the psu
does ryzen have built in graphics?
only the G versions
ok
And those are next to impossible to find at the moment.
yup
ok
That's the motherboard
is 16gb of ram enough?
For gaming yes. 32GB is good for video/3D editing
ok
it goes on the mobo, you can easily spot it.
also again, there is a manual for that.
My psu didn’t come with one
your mobo does.
you can also look for a online manual of your mobo
although i do recommend watching some tutorial videos on how to build a PC first
What's the PSU? The company may have posted a digital copy of the manual on their website
Usually the psu side has two connectors for the 24 pin
thoughts?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7zGQvf
Yeah but there is a 24 pin with a hole in it (cpu, then there is a 36 pin
For pcie and cpu connectors there is usually one side that says psu
Can you show the other side of it
The cpu wire is labeled the mobo it’s the
It’s a 24 pin (bottom with a connected 12 pin i think (top left
Yep that looks good
Now these hdd dampeners that came with the case, do they stop the rattling noise I had really bad in my last pc?
It would help if you'd tell us what brand/model the PSU is.
Oh right my bad, revolution d.f 850 (enermax)
Theres a 12 pin because they sell a 12 pin to 2x 8 pin adapter
Should I unplug the 12 pin then? They both lied to the 24 pin motherboard
Change ram to some rip jaws
ok
they both go to 24 pin?
Also buy segotep psu
like same cable?
alr
I dmed the guy struggling with his PSU a link to the product page (which just as I suspected... has the manual online)
Yes. The 24 pin for the motherboard leads off to a 24 pin with a 12 Pin
So i’m reading the manual now so I should get this under control here
Since the benchmarks came out for 11900k I need help deciding which one I should get that or 5900x or 5950x for gaming and streaming
Can anyone help me find a good mobo for the 10400f (budget is around 120-150 usd)
I had one before that was 110 but it's out of stock now
Like they merge?
Can someone help me find the best PC because i am a girl gamer and i dont know what to buy?

ok whats your budget
2000-1000
You not knowing what to buy has nothing to do with you being a girl and only with you being new to this.
LOL
srry lol
dude when i build my pc the power supply is going to be RIDICULOUS
yes
like isn’t it the most complicated part of building a pc
no thats legit the easiest
the hard part is trying to cable manage at the back
no its legit legos
oh okay
ok thanks
THANK GOD
Read the manuals. That solves so many issues.
i was so worried ab it

Not merge, here I’ll send a pic
Since the benchmarks came out for 11900k I need help deciding which one I should get that or 5900x or 5950x for gaming and streaming

my head
lol
5900X has more cores for multitasking
So should I get that
5900x for gaming performance and then 3080 for nvenc
especially since everyone is using m2 drives and ODD dont exist any more. its like, 5 cables MAX
@little osprey my bad its 10 pin not 12
Unless you want to spend like 300 dollars more for 16 cores
5900X will do perfectly fine for streaming, 5950X is only for hardcore editors really
I've not actually built a system yet but I've been doing lots of research for when I finally can. (Stupid parts shortage)
I just want to know which cpu is the gaming king
Its the hands for me-
Ok and better than 11900l right
Yes, the 11900k is fighting the 5800X lol
Dog vomit is better that 11th gen Intel
What is 5950x used for
everything other than gaming/streaming
What do you mean?
More budget workstation
5950X is for people doing 4k video editing, cad design for 3D printing, etc
If you don’t want to buy threadripper
If they are they are connected plug both in
Alright
@wicked frigate What GPU are you buying
It is kind of hilarious that we have arrived at a moment where AMD rules the top end, and Intel is now the underdog.
Have people never see modular power supplies before ?
Now my psu has 2 ports on it for cpu, do I need both for a 3900x?
Does your mobo have two 8 pins
Or one 8 pin 1 4 pin if so then yes
@little osprey maybe an 3080
oh oh... here we go again kids...
i mean even then they'd be fine only plugging in a single 8 pin, right?
Buy none of the CPUs you talked about
Also
What resolution?
Why
You don't really need both sets of pins for the CPU, one 8 pin is fine unless you plan to push over 175 Watts through it
5600x automatically just because you have Nvenc
the GPU will do all the streaming workload
while not affecting any performance
uh
What’s ncenc
Gpu encoder
so you're saying i need to buy another EPS?
The manual won’t download on mobile.
For nvidia
What cpu power connectors does your mobo have
not that, there was a heated discussion some time ago about weather one needs to connect both PSU power connectors for normal every day use
What CPU are you using that is pushing that much power? Intel with limits ignored? lol
no 5900x with PBO enabled
Nvenc
