but i have my own bot and still cant get a gpu
or cpu
well...
i say that but i havent aimed for a cpu in a bit - been targeting gpus
I am going to wait until 11 gen
The remaster is way more intense than original. My current laptop runs the original with no issues but doesn’t meet minimum requirements 😂
And than decide
Unless you have an x470 board already get a b550 ot x570 instead
TUF X570 PRO smexy
Not rlly that's okay especially since you can actually get them
i am looking for some advice ... I am a mac users now putting together a PC based machine dedicated mostly to flight simulation. I already have a Sapphire Radeon rx vega 64 direct X 8 gb board I would like to build my system around since I have it in stock. Can you suggest a system I could build around this? thanks in advance
by flight simulation I assume you mean Microsoft Flight Simulator?
or something else?
yes
that wont be nearly enough
1080 level
that game is notoriously hard to run
Not bad
are you saying the card is not powerful enough>
Yes
essentially, yes
damn
even a 2080Ti struggles in that game
It’s ok, but definitely not amazing to run that game on
then you could probs sell it for quite a bit
3090 lol
Yes, 3080 or 3070
ok thanks
Btw good luck finding one
I mean, it'll be OK just won't be able to max everything out
Given the current market, 1080 level performance isn't bad
1080p medium settings probs
I want good smooth performance... I am a real pilot not using for a game
what it takes to make it work
Ok then
i have $
do you expect to play anything more than Flight Simulator on this?
is a 1080ti for 400$ a good deal for a I3 10100?
I would get better cpu
Also 400 isn’t an amazing deal
mostly for Flight sim
400$ cad @rich helm
but other uses as well
400 cad for a 1080ti is a pretty good deal I'd say
Still ehh
In this market
In this market it’s decent but upgrade to 3060ti fe for 400 usd to get ray tracing and stuff is what I would do
another question: what about monitors and other peripherals? Moreover, are you going to be playing in VR or on a normal screen?
Or on one of those ultra triple monitor setups
i will get a good display 4k
I put some displays on here
not like I'm gonna use rtx
For 4k you will need 3080 or 90 i think
high refresh rate, yeah
I put some 1440p 165hz monitors on there
Why not M27q?
Much cheaper I thought
I like the TUF one better but if he wants the M27q then by all means, he can get it
no one is stopping him
Tbh 1440p is the sweet spot for monitors you wouldn't really notice 4k at that size
question should i upgrade from amd Athlon 64x2 to a phenom?
old troll is old
definitely do that
^
why stick to amd?
should i buy?
in my monetary value an ryzen 3 3100 cost 2500 at best and Intel has a i 3 that costs 3500 at least
that's why
what currency?
mxn
pesos?
whats that in USD
yeh
20 pesos is about 1 dollar
what's your budget, and what stores were you looking at?
there's cyberpuerta but they charge like 3200 for a case sooo dunno mate maybe stick with the plaza de la tecnología or mercado libre and Amazon
yee
no don't buy that at that price
allright
imma be checking in cyberpuerta and mercado libre for parts atm
k
but believe me cybepuerta also sells on mercado libre but they lower the price a bit bc of mercado libre commissions
(in the way of they take part of the monee bc you sold in their platform)
why tuf better?
it's currently like 100$ more than M27q
I simply like it more
he has the extra money
if the M27q is less then he can get it
his decision
ngl wasting 300$ for no better performance (arguably worse performance) isn't a great idea imo
:P
¯_(ツ)_/¯
@wanton cliff btw all high end high wattage PSUs are basically gone
yeah ik
so might need to allocate more to that
unless rosewill capstone 1000w
which works
Because I'm a M27q simp, I will now list areas where M27q is better than VG27aq:
Much better pre-calibration, 0.97 color dE compared to 3.34 color dE
Better color gamut, 97.3% of Adobe RGB xy compared to 74.2% of Adobe RGB xy
Better HDR gamut, 85.8% DCI P3 xy to 69.8% DCI P3 xy
No color bleed on M27q, 0.458% column error on VG27aq (vertical color bleed)
Better overall response time, 8.4ms to 11.5 ms
No overshoot on M27q, 5.8% on VG27aq
M27q much better io and connectivity, on top of KVM
@wanton cliff hey, I found a thing vg27aq is better at tho, it supports BFI with freesync (whatever bfi does), when M27q supports BFI, but not with freesync on
ooh
Oh and I forgot M27q has much better peak brightness, it's like 430cd/m max real scene to 311cd/m max realscene
I personally like it darker anyways
@midnight girder ight im done https://mx.pcpartpicker.com/list/YwQxmk
I don’t want intel but would a 9-10900k handle streaming and gaming as well as script compelling like 5900x would?
Gaming, close enough, compiling, need to check benchmarks and such, multi core loads 5900x slaps 10900k
Well, not quite slap, but 10c20t that performs worse per core than a 12c24t chip
Now you say gaming, how would it handle streaming while gaming? I’ve seen a lot about FPS fall off even using nvenc
Shouldn't
What would you do? (Mind you the only gpu I have is a possible fried 1060 and perfectly fine trash ass rx570 laying around)
What is the current gpu?
don’t have one my only pc surged
Bad psu
So I would be stuck with rx 570 unless the 1060 works until 30 series stock
I know
1650 super and up have newer NVENC
(if pascal NVENC gives you issues, ampere probably doesn't)
SHUFFLE TIME! https://www.newegg.com/product-shuffle
(1060 is pascal)
@potent portal does the evga 3070 have bad thermal pads?
Mr111 or vintage, you guys know much about the bad thermal pads on 3070s?
I wouldn’t know how to tell if 3070 has bad ones or not
evga has good
Then wish me luck, this shuffle is like my only shot at a 3070 near msrp
And I actually have the money in pocket this shuffle lol(on card anyway)
@muted patio vram temps?
GDDR6 doesn't have temp sensors
hm
And I'm not buying a thermal camera to check
I know some pcb might have built in
but
yea def note buying a thermal camera for that
If you're not mining it doesn't really matter
fair
yes buy thermal cam, they are fun
My PSU was making a screeching sound when I am playing a game or opening a game but it isn't super loud. Also it is only 3 months old.
can get annoying tho.
Coil/cap whine
That's normal right?
Not really
well it has a warranty
it doesn't damage components or anything, but very annoying, considered a defect
it is EVGA 600 BR
with what gpu
1660 super
Interesting
If it's super noticeable, RMA the PSU
It's not going to hurt anything tho
And IMO that PSU shouldn't be whining with a 1660 super
it isn't even close to being too powerful
yeah, with the game sound i won't be able to notice it probably.
yeah, it's not going to hurt anything, just noisy. UNless you start hearing it in your headphones or speakers
ok
dude whats the deal with that kid
Hey, whats better
ACER nitro 5
or Lenovo Legion 5
both with AMD 4600H and GTX 1660ti
idk
I have heard people say that the acer nitro 5 is good.
look at benchmarks
Recommended wattage for 3900x 3070, 1060, and drives, aio and such?
The PC has 2 GPUs?
Yeah 3070 for gaming and my main job, and a 1060 for stream encoder since I don’t really have the money for a capture card rn
Unless the 1060 died in the last surge it suffered then it will only be one gpu
Hello all. I'm helping out my son build a pc. He's been working his way through the PC Builder, but he can't pick a case with this list Https://newegg.io/d445884 I've looked, tried pulling parts off but can't seem to find the issue. Any suggestions?
Any ATX case will work fine
well
any case?
that includes the H510
also that 1070 Ti is far from worth a thousand dollars
and a 9700
oof
lemme remake this list
😄 thank you
I believe a 750 or 850w should be fine.
whats your total budget?
he was thinking 2k ish
ok
gimme a minute or two
RGB or no RGB?
that being lights on the components and such
ok then
note that with current trends, thats nearly impossible to completely fulfill
but I'll do the best I can
RGB is just extremely popular as a concept right now
Understood.
the graphics card in particular will be extremely hard to get at a good price
your best bet is the Best Buy drops that occur on either Tuesday or Thursday every 2 weeks at around 9 AM PST
the next of which will occur next week
you need to be quick though
then you know whats up
no problem
always happy to help
oh, one more thing
with that CPU and that motherboard, you may need to do whats called 'flashing the BIOS'
this basically means taking a USB stick, putting the newest version of the motherboard's firmware on it, putting it in the designated USB slot, pressing the flashback button on the motherboard, and waiting a few minutes
theres a bit more to it and you will need to look up a youtube video most likely but thats a thing you may need to do as well
anyone have any recommendations for a GPU for this build? Trying to keep the budget around $1,000. https://newegg.io/8f6788c
thats an odd case
and pretty bad cooler
and no SSD
and PSU that is pretty low quality
and no motherboard?
I haven't gotten the motherboard yet.
No
ok
probably for the in and outlet ports
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GFdwnL a hundred dollars or so overbudget but I can bring it down if necessary
WDYM
My case supports up to 420mm rad but this is longer than 420
Because 3x140mm fans is 420mm plus the extra for the tubes
Tubes can't exit in a fan
240mm rads aren't 240mm either
If the case says it will support a 420mm rad, that means it also accounts for the extra where the tubes are
That isn’t too much over budget, thanks!
no problem 😛
Do you have a recommendation for a RGB case though?
P500a I guess
not really anything like an 'rgb case'
there are some cases with RGB streaks and stuff on them but they get expensive
Ok
@wanton cliff btw, why not a revo d.f. 850w? 30$ cheaper
revo d.f. 850w is 130$ normal price, plus 10$ wegg discount code, 120$ against 150$ 850w gx
there's also a 10$ mib but I don't like counting mib's
@muted patio 110$ after MIB technically xD
enermax
Good stuff
@sullen spoke surprisingly good despite the company
ye i see they have had some sketchy aios before haha
slimy aios
but you can't deny good testing and good specs
I think their revo d.f. is rebranded fortron
iirc platimax d.f. was fortron
so revo d.f. is either rebranded fortron or like cwt I'm guessing
dunno
You guys seen MX-5 yet?
looked like just a refresh
slime nice for water flow
its 5 degrees better apparently
lol

ain't no way
hence the apparently lol
the best LM to the most mediocre thermal paste is like 3c difference :P
and no mayo is not thermal paste
what indeed
did you know hand lotion holds up pretty well as thermal paste
nani
@little osprey did you know you can use a 3900x to cool a 3700x
double stacking
duh
put thermal paste on, put the CPU on top of the other
IHS to IHS
ufd tech did it a while ago
I have a problem with my brothers pc
These 2 sata ports get smashed by the gpu and won’t let the gpu properly seat
If I got those 90” angled sata cables would that work?
Could do taht with one of them
The other won't work either because it faces the other way
We only need 1 port
mATX 🤢
there isn't even benchmarks for this paste yet
full ATX
THen yes, 90 degree should work
damn
Would sata 3 6gb work in those slots? There only sata ports the sata 6gb is taken up
Prebuilt, had no choice
Yes
No not backplate the outside edge near the pci connection pressed down and no matter how much pressure it won’t seat all the way with sata there
Right where my thumb is to be exact
Hmmm, even 90 degree may not work then
That’s with it seated
90 degree just might clear then
yikes
Typically how tall are they before they bend?
It might still sit on top of the cable but it should still lock in, they only go up a couple mm
Not looking for perfection this is only a cheap prebuilt to start him on pc gaming
That's an old one, but a tube of toothpaste often costs more than a tube of thermal paste anyway lol
I had a prebuilt that was worse but had atx board and was gonna give him my board when I built a new build but it fried and I’m trying to get hold of 30 series card before buying the rest
Does any have the B550 Strix F Wifi? If so how has it been for you?
It's a good mobo
I was debating with either a B550 or X570 for a 5900x
I, personally, would get the TUF X570 PRO
but you could get any 500 series board with flashback
Can you explain the difference and the benefits of using a x570?
X570 is simply a better chipset
I have built a new rig since I had a 1080
smh
X570, quite simply, allows better overclocking
usually boards with an X570 chipset also have better VRMs, more ports, and features as well
thats just 500 series in general
tbh
This is the mobo I have, https://m.alibaba.com/product/62278577187/H81-Intel-gaming-motherboard-with-socket.html?mark=google_shopping&src=sem_ggl&mark=shopping&cmpgn=11637237034&adgrp=120122066104&locintrst=&locphyscl=9011450&ntwrk=u&device=m&dvcmdl=&position=&pla_adtype=&pla_mrctid=262279834&pla_channel=online&pla_prdid=62278577187&pla_country=US&pla_lang=en&pla_group=298190246337&pla_localcode=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrsGCBhD1ARIsALILBYqc3BL0TzGeCoQsSV0CZ49kD002shK-9Vq_w6cwpE6JkDYAn36rAoUaAjZ9EALw_wcB#shopping-ads is it compatible https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FAY0S08/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_AGYYAB5Q4CVVW3FTSGSZ
Wholesale H81 lntel gaming motherboard with socket LGA1150 up to 16GB RAM from Shenzhen Mingzhi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. on m.alibaba.com
watch out cuz not all x570 boards are good for overcloccc
like?
I only considered the B550-f strix because I saw one for $178 USD
thats a nice price for one
Yeah thats why I considered it
do you have a 3000 series processor?
cheap asrock mobo brrr
it can do a little
vrm temps are yikes when at like 165w tdp cpu
so are msi x570s tho
the B550-F does indeed have a flashback button
can someone help me by knowing what Ram sticks i have through an application
CPU Z
@wanton cliff b550-f has flashback
Or just look at them / send a picture
btw hey, i got the parts
A few of the MSI X570 boards have garbage VRM but those are mostly out of production now, they redesigned
Click the memory tab
Don't forget to exclude msi low end
yeah I can see that
Anyone have prebuilt preferences? Didn't pull the trigger and the unit I wanted last night sold out.
and then?
Nice, still waiting on the case or
Read...
Redux PC
@pure iron xoticpc
Or just look at memory
yeah im still waiting on it, so i wont build the pc for a bit
Fair
lemme just send you a screen shot
i wanna know what ram sticks they are, what is there MHz and what is their CL
2133c15 jedec defaults
Build Redux is good but their cheap stuff is out of stock, they only have 1650 ones for $1000 unless you go really high end
oof
@warm swift I think that's without xmp on, go check spd tab
nevermind
SPD tab
use the drop down to choose a stick
Model numhber will be listed then
Spd is what they're rated for, right now it looks like it's running jedec defaults
2800 XMP wat
Looks old
yeah its a bit old
It's rated for 2800mhz cl15
I cant wait for DDR5
I can
I can wait. There will be bugs
so its 16GB 2600MHz Cl15
yeah I know, I'm talking about when DDR5 is good
when DDR5 is as good as DDR3 was in it's prime
Second gen AM5 then
ah ok, is that alright tho?
mhmm
Yea, it's just alright
Suboptimal but alright
Wait, are you planning to use it with a 5900x or is this for your brother's build @warm swift
brother's
Gotcha
128gb DIMMs at normal high end
i got G.skill TridentZ Neo 32gb 3600 CL16
What cpu is he going to use?
I7-7700k, its not that great with a 3080, but one day ill upgrade his Motherboard/Cpu/Cooler/Ram but just not these days, maybe not even this year because i payed like alot...
Fair, decent enough for now
i basically payed 7k dollars today
yeah i think it will do the job for atleast a while, maybe next year or something ill upgrade them
@hushed pollen I Lovee your setup
discord
ask your question
i cant post the link
what was the link?
that
ah
ye
never heard of VRLAtech
so you think good
airflow on case doesnt look great tbh
how much would you be paying for this
$750?
ye
cool
I dont like paying that much for a i3 9th gen and a 570 but with the state of the market, thats a decent deal
I dont think he wants to build
I figured, that's why most people want prebuilt, but a budget is good to find what system works in budget
a 10400f and 3060 would stomp that build for theoretically less
G P U
m a r k e t
How much are you willing to spend? $800? $1200?
There was a prebuilt on wegg with like a 9700f and 2070 at 1000$ a bit ago
Dunno if that's still around
750-800 idk
not bad in current market
If you can get that lol
Fractal Design Define 7 Black & White Brushed Aluminum/Steel E-ATX Silent Modular Tempered Glass Window Mid Tower Computer Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08146X7B4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2AWP6DJ8CZJDV412QDKP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Is this mesh or metal top and front
arent 3060s 2000$
3060s msrp is 329
Absolutely not nearly that much
You're looking at scalpers
They're counting on desperate people to pay whatever they ask
Metal
How’s the airflow?
Or is there a better cheaper case?
ok i looking a build/prebuild for like 700-800
2 tops like mesh or metal?
Corsair 4000d airflow
Fractal meshify 2 or meshify C
Correct
Prebuilt is best bet at gpu if you don't want to wait
Which ones support 140mm fans (i have 6) and a 360 to 420 mm rad
Preferably in the top mount
I’m on mobile and this is hard to find
ok thanks
so do you have any in mind
Fractal design meshify 2, supports 2x 420 rads iirc
420mm rad??
i know nzxt is good?
They're okay
You seem shocked or something what’s wrong with 420mm
whats the best brand
None
NZXT is decent if they're in stock
Never seen a 420mm rad
I've seen tons
Yeah, Arctic liquid freezer II 420 is the one I want
Huh must need massive cases
Amazing rad for the price
Yes they do, which is exactly what I suggested
Lmao can’t believe you linked the exact one I was looking at
no lmao
Liquid freezer is highly recommended on here and a top hit on google so not surpised
what in your opion on the best prebuild brands and in a price range of 700-800 for gaming
It depends on the model and all the options, i also assume for gaming?
Redux upped prices
NZXT BLD all sold out also
yes it iis for gaming
Yeah Redux upped prices, it's sad
So basically theres no good prebuilts in that price anymore
ABS and Dell only ones left I think
ABS aint that amazing either
ABS is ok, not the best but worth what it costs
They usually cheap out just as much as iBuyPower and everything
At least they have stock
so your saying there is no good prebuilds '
Not in taht price range
Ironside has decent prebuilts usually also for the price but they have like zero GPUs in stock rn
Single channel and no SSD, gross
you suggjest that
1650 10400f and 17% discount for next 40hrs
At least Dell has pretty good build quality
single channel tho
so you suggest that
Yo fal or vintage, exactly how much overhead room does 850watts give using a 3900x and 3070?
or no
a bit
Huh, $600 fora 1650 super https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NCFRFFD?tag=bgfg-wepc-us-20&geniuslink=true
Enough that you don't need to worry about spikes causing shutoffs
mhmm
leaves room for more ram at the $800 price point
Enough for say adding a second card? (1060 3gb
Yeah
A good deal in this economy :o
I would go 1000 to be safe but enermax revolution d.f doesn’t go that high
3900x pulls 142watts at stock speeds
This ain't terrible either https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R6P4SWY?tag=bgfg-wepc-us-20&geniuslink=true&th=1
I’m not oc so that’s fine
So about 600 what about 1060 3gb how much does that pull?
Wow, still 8gb ram tho you would want to add another 8
Of course
@fossil cedar so should i get that build that you just linked or somethingelse
but 3600 and 5500XT
youd be fine
1060 doesnt take that much
What's wrong with that? Better than 10100
@desert gulch remember spikey boi but yea
1060 peak draw is 234 Ryan
Dedicated encoder
That's total system not card
For streaming, but I don’t even know if the surge killed it, so if it’s dead that’s out
Id recommend either of the builds vintage linked actually but idk tbh would you be comfortable adding in a stick or ram yourself?
1060 is about ~100W
So then 3900x 3070 1060 3gb and ram, drives, aio etc should work on an 850watt?
I'd call it good, I doubt the 1060 will use its max power
mhm
I’m not a overclock person, I use it as it comes and that’s good enough for me
sure
how much is it
?
Check this out on @Newegg: ENERMAX Revolution D.F. 850W 80 Plus Gold 850W, Full Modular, Multi Rail, 7 Year Warranty, Power Supply, ERF850EWT https://www.newegg.com/enermax-80-plus-erf650awt-850w/p/1HU-0042-000R0?Item=1HU-0042-000R0&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-1HU-0042-000R0-_-03162021
Is this multi rail or multi rail switchable?
I’ve read that if it’s multi rail and one rail hits max power it shuts down
its multirail for sure
probs closer to $50
Ooof
I know that but some are able to switch to single rail or so I have read
ok
umm
Really for 8gb ram?
i dont think it can
You can always add 8gb later on tho
only enermax digifanless can
according to psu tier list
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev. 14.6 Last Update: 29-11-2020 Gray - EoL / obsolete. Generally not recommended for purchase since its going to be pre-owned, refurbished or old stock. Green - small form-factor (gold and blue colors are disregarded due to scarcity of SFX PSUs) Gold - best units in the tier (...
which is why its more worth it to just get 16 gigs
ok thanks for the help so either one fo the ones @muted patio linked is good?
Heyo ryan, do you know when ill be able to buy the 3060 ti again?
bruh how would i know
f
lmao
check pins for the newegg shuffle
They getting prebuilt tho and was gonna add in 8
k
👍
ok thanks
Np
It's multi rail, and that's exactly how it should act, you don't want like 500a running through equipment rated for 100a you know
mhmm
So multi rail is better?
yea
Multi rail is better because it regulates the different 12v rails separately
Better ocp afaik
yeah multi rail better for higher power psu
but for like a 550w or whatever a single rail works fine too
single rail nice cause it doesnt have to make sure it has enough power on each rail for components
but multi rail still works better for that bigger stuff
a bit safer generally
@junior mural that's a pic only channel. If you want to do text, gotta ad a pic to your post when you post it
ty bro! 😎
Is there a big difference between cas latency 16 and cas latency 18 Ram(memory)?
It might make a couple second difference in render times in Photoshop but nothing massive
that being said
A good portion of C16 ram is the same price as C18
Not for that, no
Thank you for the help
YW
How much does rx 570 going for
Hmm, I’ve got 3 sitting around i wonder if I could sell em at today’s price
Hey Ryan, do you know if there are any 20 series or 16 series cards any cheaper than say $650 Singh that’s about the pride of evga 3070
I checked Best Buy and Newegg and the 1660 super is out of stock
2133 mhz ram bottlenecking a 2080ti?
i have xeons lul
why would it matter that much tho? arent shaders and stuff stored on thee vram anyway/
and the slower the information moves
the longer the GPU has to wait for it
IDK how fast ram the E5 will take tho
lmao probably max is 2400
im not planning to upgrade anyway
after all its mainly a workstation
CPU is roughly equivalent to a 1700x
So single core isn't that great which will slow things down
Def the slow point for the 2080TI lol
ig ill just stick to ML lmao
Hey guys In my old psu I was plugged in as 4pin cpu and in my new psu does it matter if I plug an 8pin in?? Or should I just plug in 4pin
Ok I need help
I put in the power supply and gpu but nothing is coming up on the monitor
What do I do
Ok so I tried it with the gpu in my build and it worked
So does my mobo not support the gpu???
Are asiahorse extensions good?
from my experiences they are.
there are some expensive and some affordable extensions that’s why I ask , phanteks and rose will for example are afordable but cable mod 🤔🤔
Which slot does the gpu go in
Top one
PCI-E 2.0 wat
So the black one
I tried
Dark blue large one
System didn’t post
What GPU is it
With new egg shuffles are the winners typically the first to receive an email?
That board seems early 2000’s
BIOS may not support it with a board that old
So it won’t work
Anything I can do
F1A75M pro
So what should I do
Yeah I would suggest to build a new rig
We told you not to invest in that one because it's old lol
That board is too outdated
Socket FM1
Bro I got the gpu for free
Dvi is ancient
Yep, it's too old for newer things
What cpu do you use
Thx
SSd should work tho
Tell us you cpu and ram
Sata 6 is sata 6gbps
My whole goal was to make the gpu work
The GPU is fine
It’s not compatible with ancient tech
unplug power
What’s that
Also
resets BIOS
Umm
Connect cables to the GPU itself
Yeah
Or should I just plug the one back in
Do you thinks that’s the reason I mean without the gpu my system is posting
Put the same one lol it’s not that important
I mean my system was posting after I removed the gpu
So should I do the battery thing
Do you think that’s the reason
How much is your psu wattage
Brop
450
If I didn't think it would work
Bronze
Bruh
I wouldn't have told you
450watts
DO IT
I mean
Makes u smarter
It's not like we'd tell you to do it for fun
Lol
Listen to the pros dude this guy know what he’s doing
Ok
if we tell you to do something
I will
What do I take the battery with
We ain't trolling you
Out
Metal tab or little flathead screwdriver but power off power supply and unplug first
@muted patio maybe you know something about these?
Cable mod is the best for a reason, quality second to none
how many watts we talking about and what kind of GPU?
But are other extensions safe?
Asiahorse tends to use smaller wire
So for high poer GPU's, not recommended
Nor high power CPU's like INtel
750w psu with a 3070 in a future
So the 3070 only uses one 8 pin ?
mine uses 1 8 and 1 6
So I think Asiahorse would be fine
Or Phanteks, etc
Cable mod just has the best quality
Depends on the cable awg right ?
Provided these are extensions and NOT direct from PSU
Yeah
bigger AWG = smaller wire
cheaper ones use 18 or 20
better ones use 16 AWG
Thanks for the help , apreciate it
If I buy extensions I will go safe with cablemod, we are talking at about a 1.8k pc I don’t want anything to go wrong
I mean
They aren't going to burn down or anything and with a 3070 you'll be fine
3070 doesn't pull a lot of power
But For future upgrades
Up to you, cablemod has nice combs and customization also
I might buy the 24 pin and 8 pin cables only as the cpu one is not visible in my case
I have seasonic
which one
Focus 750gm I think
My Phanteks aren't sleeved either, just black
hm?
and hidden
my Phanteks ones are sleeved
Phanteks is a Seasonic PSU lol
Amp 750 was sleeved?
Well I learned something today
WAT
kekw
Mine weren't
lmao
-_-
thats a big rip
Mine are black and OK but I’m considering going extra with aesthetics
Can't see em anyway tho
all my cables are sleeved lmao
vintage got screwed over by Phanteks lmao
why...
why isnt there a player for that video?
is this the same for everyone else?
Probs iPhone video
Idk I’m going to send a photo then
Yes
I post videos from my phone all the time tho
They use a funky codec
Interesting
Apple at its finest lol
Classic
me with a gt 240 Prehistoric
Bottleneck at it’s finest
Alibaba wholesalers won’t allow individual GPU orders either
So Facebook and eBay are our only hopes
Puerto Rico so I can buy from US
Hey guys want to have a good laugh? I had my wd black sn750 on a pcie 3.0 X2 instead of pcie 3.0x4 first time pc builder error
Then sort by buy only if you don't want to bid
I’ve tried but people here list more on Facebook
Yeah but at half capacity
PCIE 2.0?
is that an M.2 slot limitation?
Haven't seen that on a board before
The m.2 slot but pcie 3.0 X2 instead of pcie 3.0 x4
Did you configure it that way in the BIOS or something?
they should all have 4 lanes
They're hard wired like that
What does that mean ? Don’t know but I was getting 1gbps instead of 3.4gbps
Asrock b450 steel leyend
Nah
Ya
Ok, nah
2nd slot is x2
weird
B450 has so many oddball things
Like, what the heck lol
What’s a cheap fan hub, or do i need a hub for 6 fans and 420mm rad
deepcool
Yeah that was a noob error of mine Xd
