@wanton cliff 600
Got a link?
our site is in development
Lililabs a tier
smh stop misrepresenting my company
Lol.
yo everyone, what would be a good cheap build 4 me that i can play rust on
Lililabs should go into internet
Oh I get it now
It a monopoly soon
that is an entirely different field
Going to be
hire someone who does
@little osprey I mean, builds are usually made with a budget in mind
i dont want to ever be an isp
Uh, 600$ isn't gonna do it for a pc to play rust on, considering current gpu prices
because then i need to manage infrastructure
and rollouts
and the amount of idiots who want internet
Lul
surpasses the amount of idiots who want vps
i remember paying yelp to hide bad reviews
I might be able to make a 800$ 3060 list later
Gonna bring back my budget specific lists >:D
@little osprey the problem is stock situation, few months ago, 2060 1660 1650 etc were everywhere
Now, no low end cards at msrp
Well, if you can wait or get away with not having a pc for a while, I'd say wait if possible.
@stoic island this is a long time plan, have , made pretty big purchases in the past while
yeah
Yelp is a joke. There's a used car lot in my area that has two 5 star reviews, and like forty 1 star
@stoic island if i asked for a certain part for christmas/birthday what would they be
The 5 star reviews are clearly written by the owner and his wife
Buy everything at once, don't buy things part by part over months
Saves you headaches if anything comes doa, or if anything in the market changes
To start off, how much do you think you can accumulate?
lol it'll be over time, from relatives and my job it'll be a fair few
i intend to start saving up now
To be safe, if you don't think you do get, I dunno, 700$ by the end of the year, it might be worthwhile to just turn away for a while.
The market is constantly changing, good chance newer lower end parts will allow for cheaper builds, but I'm going to estimate 700-800$ for a 3060 build in a month.
what are good sites, im a tech person but i dk much about platfroms for components
For checking compatibility, pcpartpicker.com
just out of curiosity, how much is the 3090?
For online retailers, Newegg, Amazon, B&H, and best buy. Microcenter is a GODLY retailer if you can go there in person
3090 is 1500$ msrp
jaysus
bh bad
For reference for lower end builds, the last gen good low end card, 1650 super, was ~160$. Currently, the cheapest decent card you're going to get would be a RTX 3060 at 330$ MSRP
Ryzen 5600X is my recommendation, $300
CPU wise, the market is quite good right now, as Intel had dropped price by a lot in response to AMD's recent victories
yeah, ryzen are great
@potent portal for such a low end build, I'd say 10100 at ~100$
This is like 600-800$ total budget kind of thing
But if we're talking a 3060 that's not low end any more
What
the graphics card is probably most importnat
3060 is the cheapest and lowest end current gen card we have
But we're waiting for a 3050 or 2660 entry
Wait could you connect 1 router to 1 switch with 2 PCs and the other router and 2 PCs to switch 2 and then link the switches?
?
Lili prob knows about server networking things
Not a good idea combining the networks
@hollow grail
Unless you know how to do vlans
Never heard of vlans is it easy to learn?
no
I’m giessonf it stands for virtual lan?
Yes it does. And you need a managed switch to run them.
Ah
So what I’m getting is we can’t use lan with all PCs simultaneously with multiple routers
For a home user, correct
What about if we all had motherboards with dual lan slots?
That gets a LOT more complicated trying to connect to the internet 2 ways at the same time.
If you just want to play LAN and don't need the fast net access, a single switch will work perfectly. Just move your ethernet cables when you're playing LAN games to the switch.
The reason I’m trying to figure this out is because majoority or the games me play don’t have voice chat or voice chat causes errors, so discord is how we communicate
I’m down with complicated as long as it works
Especially if I stream, I don’t want them to have high latency and not having internet access while playing would make it impossible to play and stream
your config is bad
???
The problem is without a third router in this case with fallback WAN there's no way to verify your packets are going the route you want them to
working around bad config leads to bad solutions
Better options include the satellite or hotspot providers for where you are now, then you only have one network and it's faster than crappy DSL
When you move, same effect you'll only have one network to work with so much, much simpler
We tried satellite and it only resulted in 300 ping gaming
might not be dsl
50mbps seems like bad coax
or top tier dsl but iirc dsl does 25mbps
Not getting the speed you're promised is reason enough to complain to them until they have to fix it
You're literally not getting what you're paying for
We did that initially and only got a second plan to help balance the loads
They pull that legal bullsh*t about it saying “up to “ x speeds
If you live anywhere near a city, if your cell reception is 3 bars or better, mobile hotspot. I'm using one from t-mobile right now and my ping in ESO is the same as when I was on cable, maybe 10-15 ms higher
For all providers though?
No service for anyone but at
AT&T
And we tried everyone with in a 100 mile radius
We live hours from nearest city
The SureCall Flare Signal Booster Kit will improve your cell phone coverage and battery life. Click now to learn more.
Signal boosters
I've seen people build their own signal booster tower. One guy lived on top of a literal mountain, 0 signal, put his tower up and boom signal.
alright all I need answered, and only a simple yes or no, im not worried about how hard or near impossible it is.
is it possible to have a dual lan mobo plugs into the internet and another computer simultaneously?
not meant to come off as rude, just genuinely curious
Possible? Yes
https://www.newegg.com/odyssey-custom-01-rtl/p/3D5-0012-000T3
This a decent gaming pre build? For a buddy
Not bad for entry level, but I want to know how they got DDR3 into a computer with a 1030 🤣
Oh wait I see they copied the specs from a 4570
No even worse, it IS a 4570
I onno haha, my buddy has a limited budget and wants to play newer stufft lol, I told him he may want to update the ram
Y
RUN FAR
3200G or 3400G pc better
i5 4570
How is that bad, just curious
It's from 2013
Way old stuff
An i3 10100 is far better and cheaper
Will it play like warzone and ark?
Xeon E5 2650 for gaming?
Need something warzone Oriented plus steam possibly lol
A 2.6 GHz processor from 2013? No. Games want single core speed more than they want core count.
That would make a good minecraft server chip though
8c though
What If it’s with good Gpu
Would any game kick its hiney?
Anything newer than 2015 probably would be too much for it
For reference, an i3 10100 kicks it across the street so hard it doesn't know what happened until the cache catches up
Core speed and IPC mean a LOT
What Xeon would be better for similar price
Why Xeon? A 10100 runs circles around those
Cheap
They're cheap for a reason
And I'm seeing Xeon 26XX chips going for the same price as a 10100 too
Still, cheap for a reason
Yeah
Would i5 3470 be better
For modern gaming? no
Better than the xeon for gaming, but still bad
Could it play games like fortnite
Would 3570k do better
Best I can find for around $50

Still not going to come close to touching anything made in the last 3 years
Even the last generation 9100 kicks its butt
And the 8100 from the generation before that
Is it better than that Xeon
Yes
L
Can someone send a link to a cheap 16gb kit of RGB ram ddr4
2133
you asked for cheap, I brought cheap.
but it 3000 mhz
RAM market is a bit borked right now, speed doesn't matter for price for some reason
That's the cheapest 16gb RGB set on newegg that doesn't look horrible
The horrible one is only $1 cheaper
that was 67 dollars
the other one was i think
78
Yes.
it's almost there
Lmao I thought it would go straight to indiana
and watch the motherboard be in worse condition than it originally was in.
Not when it's going halfway across the country

Because I thought the route would be California---->Nevada---->Arizona--->New Mexico--->Taxas--->Oklahoma and then Missouri, Illinois and indiana
cause earlier today it was in Illinois
Ordered my ram aio cooler and psu so far
Is a 750 watt psu will probably end up selling it locally for what I paid for it and going with 1000
Going to use a 3070 or 3080 and they both specify 750 minimum but there are draw spikes which would require higher from what I understand
I need help sourcing parts for what im going to need for mining with 2-4 rtx 3060, motherboard cpu psu?
Do you have the GPUs already? They're going to be tough to find
Well no, but i hope to be able grab a cpl right away, and even if not, im really just looking for a guideline, what to look for and what to avoid
so far all i got is some gpus, a rack, and a celeron or some cheap cpu and then compatible motherboard. im lost from there
If it's a pure mining setup you don't need a super powerful processor, just use what you can get and a motherboard that will support all the GPU slots you need
right, im kinda stuck there with the pci express 1 2.0 3.0 4.0, m.2 slots
Ideally you'd get a board with gen 4 slots, so they can run at x4 speed and still have plenty of bandwidth
M.2 slots don't matter for this case
Both work technically.
yeah
But for mining you'll want gen 4 for 3060s
M.2's, ?
Why lol
Motherboards would need those special risers.
For Eth/bitcoin
m.2s if irun out of pci express
Not how it works.
Yeah just use a sata SSD and save the bandwidth, don't use the M.2
M.2 is storage.
If your using like a b450
yeah use sata.
a m.2 might choke the lane out.
Especially NVME Gen4
They can use PCIE up to x4
IIRC
and b450, x4 and x2
Not on B450
X570 has more lanes to use
crazy world
For example, TUF X570 Plus should run M.2's at x4 in M.2_1, and M.2_2
Unless you have a dozen Sata connections.
i wont
You have x4 and GEN 4 mixed up
X570 is the only one that the chipset gives gen 4 lanes
x4 is physical lanes
Gen is speed
But yeah, X570. Sorry
my brain oof.
Oh yeah.
My correction.
B450 should be Gen3
B550 you still get gen 4 lanes but only the ones the processor gives
And B550 ^
B450 should be gen 3 only
yes
No gen4
You should just need a mining riser.
Are you mining BTC or ETH?
IIRC isn't bitcoin currently in the midsts of transitioning to ASIC's
BTC is too difficult right now
eth and lite
Much more profit in ETH
it's already been fixed lol
i own bit eth and lite
^
what else would you need?
I know you need Risers
and a CPU
Power supply
At least a 1200 with enough PCIe connectors for all the cards
Yes lol
And don't forget, push memory clock as high as you can and drop core clock down as low as you can to save power/maximize profit
Play with each card a bit to see what settings get the best results (hash rate) on each card, they WILL be different
mmk
Drop core clock and mem yeah.
3060ti mine better than 3070s but not 3080s
3060ti>3070<3080
Better profit levels at least, but not hash rate
3090 is god awful
hashrate is 99 MH on the 3080, about 60 on the 3070 and about 62-65 on the 3060ti
Mando got to 99
by changing the pads of a 3080
lo
lol
3060 has less cuda cores but 4gb more vram
We'll have to wait for independent tests to see what that actually means for mining/gaming
yeah, by that time there all sold out and on ebay for double
Yeah, and I bet the cards have already shipped to reviewers but they're legally not allowed to talk about them until the day before launch
yeah
NVIDIA's half cut on hashrate will be fixed easily.
From past launches, reviewers receive their cards 3-4 days before launch to run their tests and make videos, and they are allowed to launch videos the day before
3080 is rough on power supplies
MAJOR power spikes
No.
3060ti has great hash for price
3080s can hit like 99 MH
IN PERFECT CONDITIONS
More like 85
in normal.
You need an A tier power supply with 750 watts just to run a single 3080, or a B tier 850
Right, faster return on investment
Less money up front and less power used in the long run
and it actually exists
unlike 3080s on the scalped market
unless your willing to pay 2k
for 1.
Just for a second, imagine the power supply needed to run FOUR 3080s
That's like, 3000 watts lol
yeah ive been looking into mining for while since buying into crypto, but all the gpu hooplah i was like meh, till i seen newer cheaper ones coming out
Not quite. Each card is ~400 watts peak
Even with the spikes?
You need to do tweaking
Total system power recommended supply is 850 watts
Yeah, the transients are just over 400W
For 4 3080s mining?
They'll draw less power mining
3080s don't exist and im sure physical stores will be sus
with you buying 4 of them lol
Yeah they'll be putting limits on you, 1 per customer
yeah it says the 3060 are 170w but required system ppower is 550 or sumin
yeah
So more like a 2000 watt supply, still 🔥
^
2000 to be safe
400, 1600w
"Max"
I put that in quotes cause its not true.
ripples can hit hard.
i seen a guy with like 8 rx 580 on a 850w psu
RX are lower power consumption cards.
Well sure those draw almost no power mining
Well, mining is also a constant load unlike gaming which loads and unloads things constantly. I'd imagine the transients would be much less mining
Reason: Bad word usage
Heard some cards can get hot
LOL
F
Luckily my thermal pads are somewhat decent
Never get this hot, even gaming
u got 3070?
Well you also have core -502 lol
so close.
There's no ram temp there lol
no.
Nope
Uh huh
If it does hwinfo will read it
What about GPU-Z?
P500A so pog lol. My Toshiba HDWE is at 21C
lol.
ive made a dollar in 5 hours
correction. 2 dollars

My EVGA doesn't
3 votes and 4 comments so far on Reddit
Hmm
So EVGA, MSI and Zotac can't
last comment says "very few"
heh
HWINFO64 reads my EVGA CLC360 as an NZXT Kraken
wut
My 2070 doesn't report VRAM temp either, just core
Funny
Wait
here
"Only 3080s/3090s report vram temp"
Something to do with the 6x?
that dude is an idiot
like hell yes the backplate is gonna be hot
why would you be touching it when pc is on and running?
Backplate hot = doing it's job
lol
yup
Forks just spammed my message with 500 stonks emote
mine gets hot
However now i need to figure out how to tighten
Wait Racer.
Whats the point of tightening if you convert ram NS?
For example my 3733 CL18 is >3200CL16
Get the timing down == faster
You want that first word fast
Sigh. First word latency
oh.
That's the CAS and the speed math
CL is latency
You want that as low as possible
Yas.
Lower CL is faster in games
Oh.
Faster in everything
So 3733 ram would be pog
even in cl16
time to learn memory tightens
I can't do it with a calc
Its Mdie
lol
Yeah, might not be able to
Yeah so its sometimes worth going for lower CL even if it means going with lower frequency
Right. 3600C16 (8.88) is faster than 3733 C18 (9.6)
Oh yeah
Oops
sry
That makes sense
yeah
3600C16 faster than 3733C18, but I can always get it higher than faster than 3200Cl16
if that makes sense.
That extra 133MT/s bandwidth won't make up for the slower first word latency
so let me guess.
Mess with the TRCD values lol
Oh im stupid
cause also look at how many cycles.
ticking sound from pump is so annoying
How you can do?
Is your name saying the ryzen 5 3600x doesn't bottleneck a 3080?
Should i get the Dark hero x570? Or the Crosshair Viii ?
@muted patio keep in mind that's fake first word read, that's calculated with Cas latency / (mhz/2000), it's just the cas latency, but in ns.
Real first word read is calculated with (tRCD + tCL + BL) / (mhz/2000)
(BL on ddr4 is always 4)
Mr1111 can i show you something?
Sure
basically my build
i want it to look like this
thing is i thought of something, what if i get Deepcool AIO, take the fans and replace them with the corsair ones, and take those deepcool fans and put them in my brother's pc
wouldnt that be cheaper?
uh what
look
my brother im getting him a cooler master h500 case
and im getting a deepcool aio for myself and replacing them with corsair fans, and i saw that cooler master h500 only takes 3 fans, so isnt it a good idea to put those 3 deepcool fans in the h500 case that my brother is going to have?
H500 doesn't need extra fans, and why is it cheaper to swap in fans for the aio???
no like
Explain?
i want to use the corsair fans on the deepcool AIO, im saying that in the H500 case i can put 3 fans
tbh I'd just buy a corsair aio at that point
H500 doesn't gain much if any with extra fans, except for rearexhaust might help a little
yeah but a 360mm doesnt come with rgb
..
ik its dumb to not want an AIO just because of RGB i get that, but i want to make it feel like the computer im giving for my brother like i want it to feel brand new
I'd personally just go for something else in terms of the aio lel, mainly because ll120's and such are SO GOD DAMN EXPENSIVE
3 ll120s are the cost of a 360mm aio :P
i mean yeah i do understand that 3 fan pack of ll120's are pretty expensive and i get that your 100% right but i am getting them, but i thought that the deepcool AIO is really good so i thought that i would get it replace the fans that come with it with LL120's and put those Deepcool fans in my brother's computer
(I don't think the deepcool aio is good either, that's another reason why I'm against it)
the Deepcool Castle 360 RGB V2 is not good?
I'll need to check testing again, iirc it was below mediocre
like the chart?
How do we feel abt this Check this out on @Newegg: SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen3. X4, NVMe 1.3 64L V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7E1T0BW https://www.newegg.com/samsung-970-evo-1tb/p/N82E16820147691?Item=N82E16820147691&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-20-147-691-_-02192021
Also could the cmos battery be causing why my debug lights are always on
Hey guys! I could use some help.
So a few minutes after I woke up this morning, my pc turned itself on and opened up to the bios and it’s not giving me anyway out of it.
Anybody have any thoughts?
Do u use a sata boot drive or an m.2?
M.2
Does your motherboard have another m.2 slot?
Yes it has two. Only one is in use
Try putting the ssd in the other slot
and manually choosing tat slot in the boot order of the bios
Ok I give it a try. Thanks!
Also did you update windows recently or have multiple operating systems on the same drive?
Only one OS and unless it manually updated, no.
Hahaha lol this is awkward!
So one of the things earlier was restarting it but that didn’t work. Lol and then a friend walks in, he restarts it and now it works😂
Haha yeah pcs do be like that sometimes
Thanks for your help anyway though
wow looks cool bro
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820374107?Description=RAM&cm_re=RAM-_-20-374-107-_-Product&quicklink=true
would this be some good RAM for a Ryzen 9 5900x?
Actually, yes.
ended up returning my 3200 as it wasn't too much hassle
Cas is a little slow but it's OK
alright nice
for 32gb with 4000mhz?
If your chip won't do 2000 FCLK, leave it at 3800 and tighten the timings a bit
Yea
32gb 3600c16 should be around like 160 or so
@muted patio germany but yea, prices usually correlate pretty well
mhm, yeah I'll need to make sure that it's not too much for the thing lol
What would be better? the gskill or the ballistix max 4000mhz cl18
Not good, 970 evo is an aged inefficient underperformer.
If you aren't going to overclock and just run XMP, get whichever is cheaper
Good for $105-$110, not for $140, much better options available
And at 4000, there's no room to overclock
@mental steeple except lili likes the software, that's about all that's special with it
liking software
sir
i like hardware
Aparently the samsung software p gud tho
Anyways evo not good at all at the usual 150$, 130$ only if mp34 and co are out of stock, 110$ good
Things like Reflect are a little overwhelming to newbies
BRO
MUSHKIN PILOT-E BRO
IM TELLING YOU ITS GOOD
Guys I have a friend that needs help. She purchased a computer back a couple months ago and is having issues. Heres her description. I’ve tried to help with various things. But I thought I’d get some more eyes on the situation.
My computer will shut off randomly without any blue screen and reset itself. No error messages pop up with it reboots and this has happened after 15 minutes of activity or 8 hours of activity. It mostly happens when I’m playing games but happens when I’m just browsing the web as well. Stress tests were done and there wasn’t a problem with over heating and it indicated everything was running well. The power supply has been swapped out as well.
have her download and run whocrashed. It's a dump file extractor that will say what some of the issues are hopefully. https://www.resplendence.com/download/whocrashedSetup.exe
@mental steeple I KNOW ITS GOOD
I’ll look into that.
That's why I said mp34&co
Will do.
Might be a hardware issue, might be a software issue
@mental steeple generally mp34 better value imo, but mp34, pilot e, maybe helix L on the low end, sn750, sabrent rocket, all good
Ran into that same issue on my wifes PC, turns out the ram was kaput
what do you mean
pilot-E is regularly like
$1 cheaper than the mp34
performance is barely better on the pilot-E too iirc
I might be looking at the wrong places then, dunno, usually see it at like 120 130 lol
pcpartpicker shows it at $109 all the time
Why is ram market bad rn
Ddr5 production prob
someone told me older cpus were trash compared to new cpus lol boy the numbers sure tell me otherwise
USBM
Some are some aren’t
Keep going
Me?
@little osprey don't use userbenchmark
Passmark is better for a sense of performance
6600k is still better price to performance vs a 10100 lol I'd rather spend 50-60 bucks on a 6600k then 120 on a 10100 and not get much of a performance gap that's noticeably visible
Dead socket
Slower ram
No upgrade path
50-60 for a 6600k? thats just wishful thinking
used price for 6600k is about the same as the 10100
Yeah
If you can actually find a 6600k for 50-60$, and a board for <100$, yea, go ahead, but that's not usually the case
they selling for 95-150 on ebay
@muted patio I figured out the long boot btw, one of my hard drives are bad
OOOF
did you check SMART data?
Or a chkdsk or something?
okay but if you have a low budget build budget of like 400-500 bucks I'd get a 6600k and a 1060 3gb card and 16gb of ram for 300 bucks and theirs 2 6600k cpus in 20 miles of m3 for around 50-70 bucks
Windows wouldn’t even detect the drive
It like sometimes would sometimes wouldn’t
Weird
@little osprey local used market not applicable to the whole market
cause the whole markets wack rn XD
Yes
10100 smarter
and cheaper. I did a 10100 build with ram and mobo for $300
6600k is 4c/4t, 10100 is 4c/8t
add a used GPU for $100 and it's $400
10100 also has better single core perf
and is on a newer socket
10100 is the no brainer here
And has an upgrade path
honestly I don't care for Intel anymore anyway lol switched to amd a year ago and won't ever go back
without having to replace everything
Well
Bruh
Intel screwed us with h410 and b460 no 11th gen support
not when I paid 60 bucks for mine on the used market XD
Right?
10100 is better for performance by like 5 percent lol and 60 bucks for a used 3600 vs 120 for a new Intel chip lol ima always go used then new
3600 isnt 60 used
mine was
Userbench is innaccurate
Local used market is not applicable to overall market again
We don't quite care about aruing about your choice, we like to talk about the general situation
we dont waste our time scouring peoples local market for them, we go by the generally accepted market price
6600k lol ? like 5 percent
Against 6600k, more than 10% single thread performance
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i3-10100-vs-Intel-i5-6600K/3717vs2570
HT on the 10100 alone makes it superior
Yea HT is nice too
lol how much is actually visually noticeable lol
4c4t is slowly moving away from being "all you need for gaming"
Well, not really slowly considering aaa games
You're not gonna have a fun time on any modern aaa title with 4c4t
I'm too lazy to look up game benchmarks, but I bet that difference results in something similar to a 10% fps difference
plus most games are gonna stutter like hell with only 4 available threads with windows 10 in the background
lol what are you talking about lol I was perfectly fine with 100fps with a 6600k and a 780 ti superclocked card as my second build a year ago lol
nope , GTA 5 , Friday the 13th , Naruto storm 4 , all at medium settings
gta5 is like, 8 years old
and ?
yeah at 480p low XD
Welp, whatever works for you works for you, but it doesn't mean it'll work well for others
@little osprey bro I can get 30fps constant on gta 5 on a laptop iGPU
It's a joke how much of a potato you can use
And how unoptimized the high end is
i just thinking buying all new parts is a sham rn lol scalpers and people rn want too much for a system that to me doesn't seem different then my 3600 , 16gb of ram at 3200mhz and a 5500xt lol and I have about 570$ into that build lol
ok
Again
US used market sucks rn
Look up any graphics card
it works fine for others , their just picky lol and want top of the line stuff
@stoic island y u no do skool?
no, you're just misinformed
it's a big picture vs small picture thing
anyone can play at 1080p and enjoy a game , we did for years , anything above that is just personal preference, not what is playable
ok but cpu has nothing to do with render resolution
@viral ore class ended, next class no start yet
@little osprey dunno, I can't enjoy ark because of the low fps, even though I have a 2070
So I just don't play ark
lol okay let me correct myself , anyone can play at 1080p 60 fps and enjoy playing a game , anything above that is who has the biggest stick at the playground lol , playing a game is playing a game , anything above is just personal preference
I have a 1050 TI and a ryzen 7 2700X which one should I upgrade first?
@little osprey I personally can't enjoy 60fps with drops, hell, 80fps with drops, stuttering really hurts my enjoyment in games.
okay play at 1080p lol
scale it down then, 60 fps is completely playable , we have done it since 2010 lol
the issue isn't average
the issue is drops
hell, I had issues with 144fps average, but for every time I turn to drop to 10fps in bdo once
and it was completely unplayable
60fps constant is great
definitely playable
it's drops that kill playability imo
I can play on this laptop with 10fps just fine
then idk I play 1080p medium on all my games with over 80fps and don't get drops
unoptimized games like ark, just an example of how it isn't enjoyable
I only play league , Friday the 13th ,genshin impact and Naruto storm 4 so I wouldn't know anything about ark
just talking about this again
¯_(ツ)_/¯
statistics are fun, we can objectively talk about statistics on performance
for how you like the performance, it's all about you
idk I'm not a statistics person , if I can play it with 60fps without drops at the least I'm happy
my 5500xt 8gb and 3600 gpu hold up well for me so I'm happy with it , for the games I play anything more is just a waste of money for me
got mine for 25$ for a 6 pack 🙂
Welp, point is, statistics are fun things that can be objective
yeah
nice
hi guys im looking for the best studio monitor $150
overall
is akg good
akg K240 MKII
?
Studio monitor?
All I know about akg is that they make k371 lol
@feral bobcat so are you trying to get best monitor in terms of color accuracy?
Pog

What are the prices on all of them
Cuz if you can get one get the cheapest lol
@uncut pelican The price doesnt matter for me right now but theyre all around like 500-700
yeah i would but if im gonna buy a 3000 serires card i wanna get one that i love and wouldnt wanna replace after a few months
Ok i suggest the gigabyte or asus
yeah thats what im thinking im probably gonna get the asus one
I got gigabyte 3070 Vision 😎
not funny studio headphones
Nice
check Beyerdynamics and Sennheiser . those german brands are great
@feral bobcat also, open back or closed back
wait
I'm confused
IEMs?
does sennheiser or beyer make IEMs?
AKG371
@muted patio they might be on about in ear monitors
akg is not good as sennheiser or Beyerdynamics mostly
might not be over ear
akg is samsung brand so
Depends on the sound you're going for
@little osprey no, k371 slaps in terms of closed backs
Yes, I have
I had akg k240 but its eh
Does anyone know how to fix a R9 fury x that turns on but won’t post
a $150 studio plz
thanks
and Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro
😭 its $625 hd598
Trust me, they sound good. But keep comparing them to the K240's
Beyerdynamics dt990 pro , sennheiser hd598 , Sennheiser hd400 , akg k240 and more lol
lol
I using Beyerdynamics mostly . and sennheiser hd400s for road listening

ah i see
Cheat sheet lol
Sennheiser hd6xx is really good
I will say the AKG IEM's that came with my S10+ are pretty pog
LMFAO
i had those too
with my s10e
but
||i totally didnt lose them||
i used to use the ones that came with my dad's s9
Compared to the Sennheisers I've purchased and other IEM's, they sound the best
I love german brands on music 😂
but then one day i just woke up and one earbud got cleanly sliced off
idek how
like the wire was cut
i got sad
weird
Reason: Bad word usage
Got pets?
Huh, my cat likes to nibble on my earbuds
im brand addict lol
Gotta keep em safe
can't remember which sennies I have but the AKG's are superior
Reason: Bad word usage
Reason: Too many infractions
lmao
Lol
oof
Tbh 6xx seems to just be the headphones you get if you love mids
Not much else
easy to find
I mostly listening Rock or metal songs so mids are more important to me
idek what the highs and mids even mean
so sennheiser is superior
chinese pop, a bit of house, and some spanish party music
touch of hip hop like once every two months
@muted patio how does the bass on the k371 sound for you?
Well, I'm running them on my Zen Dac so
pretty danged good
I haven't tried on Realtek
Oh yea
@muted patio thanks for cooler advice yesterday lol I got that gammax 400 it performs similar to aio lol
wait can a dac boost your bass?
It's surprisingly great for what it is lol
i have my headphones eq'ed in realtek console
rip
Once you go DAC you never go back
lol
@feral bobcat you could start off with something like Zen dac and then something from koss, for upgradability
Sound is GOdlY compared to onboard garbage
$150 studio plz
I using audio interface for amping headphones
rip
i have this thing
I never using eq
like this usb sound card or something
flat sounds
like
Eq makes sound eh
Sound cards are honestly oof also
how much is fiio k5 pro
@feral bobcat also, what's the context behind the 150$, is it going to be 150$ for complete setup, 150$ for now, more down the line, or 150$ just for headphones, and you have extra to spend on amp/dac?
i can't see that being better than onboard. Is it?
over 150 soundcards are ok
@muted patio tbh I'd grab a Meizu dong instead of that
hello
its just louder
Plz answer to this
so so loud
ah
but I need soundcard so 😂
like i have my stuff on 2 volume and it still blasts my ears out
guys looks like fiio k5 pro is great
I think the Zen Dac is better, I gotta check peripherals. It was discussed in there
Smth like a k371 is really good if you can get a good amp dac on top, but not as good if you can't
i use realtek 😎
Once you go good dac you won't turn back
My wife asked why I spent money on what I did
Then she listened from her computer to mine
my wife didnt ask me bc i dont have a wife
and completely understood lol
$130
I have a passable dac and I love it
Do you want a DAC or headphones or ?
@feral bobcat okay, so do you have a 150$ budget for an amp/dac or do you have a 150$ budget for a pair of headphones or both or 150$ total?
both
Oh
