What do you guys think about this list? I know its a bit wierd. Its not mine but the person who wanted it had some parameters. They wanted an all-black build and I tried to match that as much as I could but for whatever reason that 3080 is >$500 cheaper than the next one so im sure they are going to be willing to make that aesthetic sacrifice. They also like the aesthetic of water coolers and are willing to spend more to get one, and they plan on some overclocking. They wanted 2 monitors so i figured 1 good one for gaming and 1 ehh one for discord/yt/google or whatever. They also need lots of hdd space. The ram can possibly be dropped but they are hoping for this build to last around 10 years if possible with minimal upgrades. Thanks for the help.

For reference, their last build lasted ~10 years, again, with minimal upgrades. i think they upgraded the gpu to a 1070 a few years ago but thats about it. maybe more ram, im not sure exactly

Can someone please help me figure this build out? My Motherboard has a pcie3x16 slot for the GPU, a pcie2x16 slot for expansion and a m.2 slot. If I put an Elgato (pcie2x4) into the pcie2x16, will a x4 m.2 ssd still work? I'm under the impression m.2's (can) take away from PCIe, it's a smaller cheaper board (B450M BAZOOKA MAX WI-FI, AMD 3600).

Diameter is gonna matter more than brand. I had a 120mm tower cooler in the desktop case I could barely hear but when I build my mitx system and got a low profile cooler, it had an 80mm blowdown fan. Functions well, but noisier.
