hi everyone im new here... need some help on getting a gaming p.c needs to have the 3090 and 5950 prebuild please help
why
really
you spend more money than you need to
if you want to spend anywhere from 1000-3000$ overpriced
Dont think thats even a prebuilt
with the same risks of things being doa
If it is thats def 5000$+
Prebuilt doesn't automatically mean bad
anyone knows one
Its just overpriced
prebuilt is bad
Not bad
Not always, LTT did a video recently
Just overpriced
im paying here
Parts can be good
SOme were at or below parts MSRP
just ayin
I'd have to rewatch to see the brands though
some
They did 8 different suppliers
not all
You learn something and save some money
true
True
@muted patio it's a little different for high end tbh
i just built mine today and it’s pretty cool
For sure it is
Never seen a high end prebuilt that's not very overpriceed
it was def nerve racking but it was fun
like mid end, 1500$, there are some decent options
Well, you pay for someone else to do it for you
If you aren't comfortable doing hard lines but can pay someone else, why not?
Maybe some 10750h + 2060 would be ok
But the high end ones probably really overpriced
@oak harbor how old r u
31
not want to bro
Exactly
dont want to mess it up
just watch a lot of youtube on it, it’s pretty easy
i rather buy it prebuild
if you understand you're paying extra, and is fine with that, prebuilts are an option
Why do u need 5950x and 3090
Maybe you could like ask someone to build for u
i really dont mine how much i pay bro just need one
Do I install games on my 1tb ssd or 2tb hard drive?
ssd if you can
so dose anyone know where i can buy one
Or anyone who u trust who knows how to build
Search around
Those parts are rather expensive
Not many prebuilts with those parts

@oak harbor look around https://xoticpc.com/
xotic is good yeah
lili vouches for xotic's CS and quality so I'll take her word for it
there’s also this

what do you think of this build
Where?
I mean you don't really need the cooler
Itll save you some money to put it somewhere else
ok
That case also has really bad airflow
ok
I can find you a case with some pretty good airflow
recomendation
Thats a good one
ok thanks
Corsair 275R
Yeah, that's a bit more money though
On the cheaper end, MX330-g air, MX410 mesh, neo air
really?
thought it was 90
$78.99 argb
thats not the mesh one though
AH, that's why it's on sale
Anyone listed here then
ok
Hey, my beat headphones' mic seems to be inside the earmuff part instead of the little tab on the cord, where it indicates a mic should be. Has anyone run across that before?
my dads work computer died. There it guy could not get it to work. I am going to try it and then try to get him a decent prebuilt from work or have their it guy build one but I want like a base line of what it should be for him
Oh just a work computer, not really for games?
but I want a descreate gpu
his old one was like a $1500 computer that was pretty good
Gotcha
It is like 6 years old though
Hey can anyone help me with graphics cards?
I’m looking to get a new graphics card but I only have 300
ok
Probs out of stock
and priced very bad
Okay, thank you. I’m just looking to get a new graphics card because right now my Pc has a cpu and the graphics card is built into it. So I just need anything better so I’m looking for suggestions 😂
at that point just wait for the 3050
good point
Maybe it will come true
lmao this is funny bc im australian we have atleast afew 3000 gpus instock and we have plenty of 5000 series cpus
really
the only thing we are short of is like the new radeon gpus
show me
ok
is it just me or is there a delay when changing rgb settings on corsair vengeance pro ram?
or a case like it
cougar conqueror
nice but cooling crap
it's not bad..
it is open air
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0722WZJST?tag=pcp0f-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1
literally an open air case cooling is great
I agree my setup is a bunch of pc parts wired up together not in a case
Best cooling ever
doorbell button as the power toggle
rlly good
Now that buttleg

i have 1660 ti ventus oc and intel i5 10600kf
u can always water cool it
the shape is just really inefficient and unpractical. AND THINK ABOUT ALL THE DUST!
do you also yell at all sff builders
because they're wasting money
on expensive itx cases and psus
while getting worse temps
or open case users?
or people with test benches?
in the nvme slots
wrong
yes
When you cheap out on a fan cooler because a AIO is too expensive, so shove your PC next to your mini fridge for extra cooling 👀
(Yes that's an empty case, waiting for my PSU and mobo to arrive, coming today)
That's not how stuff works...
Your computer will be warmer then you would without being next to a mini fridge.
It's a joke haha, I have nowhere else to put it
As your mini fridge expells hot air not cold air (unless your mini fridge is total crap)
No... you should put the pc inside the mini fridge
exactly! I keep telling people this
Either way, my mini fridge vents upwards, my PC vents up and backwards
so it's ideal tbf
And tbf, I'm guessing my mini fridge insulation is crap because the sides are cool to touch (not cold, but cool)
So it actually would cool 1 side of the case
Anyone have suggestions for good pcie wifi adapters for desktop?
I hope this is a joke too
no his brain is just too fat for your mortal mind to comprehend
oh yeah I forgot the fridge will watercool your cpu
nvidia recommends 750w
Guys do y'all have the 30series cards still available in your country
im confused
Hey
@earnest olive ay you there?
Custom model prices for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 & RTX 3070 graphics cards have been listed over at Overclockers.co.uk.
Can I trust this site
@warm swift yeah

is this a good gpu
planning on upgrading my pc i currently have an i3 8100 gt730 and a b360m mobo please help me upgrade it planning on only changing my gpu and psu
1660 Super is a good card. Ti would be better
that would be a super good upgrade from ur gt730
Does anyone know if RGB on an MSI case (MPG Sekira 500x) could work with an Asus motherboard? (Crosshair VII hero) ?
Well, it will be usable, but software might get a bit screwy
Ehh, I'm a little late to the game, I got the Sekira and am only realizing after my build that "compatible" isn't all inclusive
openrgb
yall i need to make sure there aren't any bottlenecks in the pc im gonna try to buy and build so ima give yall the parts list /CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 /GPU: an rtx 3070 (when i can get one) /RAM: 2 sticks of 4 slots (for future upgrade's) 16gb 3600mhz ddr4 /SSD: Crucial p5 1tb
cpu might be a little small
its an old list
added the 3070 recently
thanks, I'll look into this
:)))
@warm swift doesnt ping if you edit it in later so i just saw this, anyways suprim x is higher end model
ah dang
ik i keep saying that im buying the pc soon, but now i dont know when, because there are some problems with the 3080 in egypt
as far as ik your cpu should at least be a R5 3600x or a 5600x
k ill wait for a chance to get the 5600x then
oh well i still have to wait for 3070 availability tho
Someone did a test eith a 3600 and 3080
I found both of the products u talk about are fairly easy to get if you put your mind on it
3070 be jacked in price tho
every where
and im not fast enough to catch them while there in stock
Use instock trackers
i got no apple stuffs
i am i think its my internet
just not fast enough
by the time im there there out
ill try again soon tho
Reason: Bad word usage
And what do you need help with..?
Hey guys i got a 3090 and 5900x and was wondering if i OC 850w headroom wouldn’t be enough will it? Should I upgrade to 1000w or nah
Okay I think I have everything plugged in and everything looks good. (minus the Cable Management.) But it won't turn on.
So what happens once you press the power button
Nothing. The Motherboard has power. I know because it has two lights go on. But when I push the botton nothing happens. No boot up beeps. The Heat sync fan doesn't start and nothing happens.
@crude hazel you probably won't get any headroom for OCing gpu, just because of how high ampere likes to spike, but you might get some headroom with extra cpu clocks
@blazing sky what lights are on?
The Rainbow ones. That make the Motherboard look nice.
yeahh so im worried about that with 850, worth the upgrade to 1000+
I mean, not really worth if you're dailying it
It's just 3090 spikes really high
Like average draw something like 400w, but spikes can get you to 600w and above
They go on as soon as I plug in the power supply
offt
So I wouldn't feel comfy with OCing the gpu, but it'll daily just fine (OCing probably won't make your PSU OCP very happy)
@blazing sky hm, weird, but can you check the front io cluster on the motherboard, specifically if the power switch is connected to the right pins?
yeah daily use without OC im not worried, but when I oc i worry my butt. Should play it safe and get a 1000w psu
Meh, OCing in general is pretty useless as just a way to gain performance if you have to spend a good amount extra for better hardware.
Back to the rgb turning on as soon as the PSU is on, that really shouldn't happen but I'm trying to think why it might happen
Do you need my parts list/.
That might be useful
Post it here or DMs?
Here should work
Alright, had a look around the Mobo manual, what does it do if you manually started it by pressing the pwr_sw button on the top right of the motherboard?
Nothing.
Great, guessing you checked power cables already?
Eyup. Both of them
Welp, a reset cmos via battery wouldn't hurt until something is figured out
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025368/processors.html
Defines CMOS technology and how to clear CMOS using the jumper or battery methods.
Still fairly confused on the Mobo LEDs just coming on once it's plugged in, before power button is pressed
guys what’s the best app to monitor cpu and gpu temps
1600af is...uh alright i guess, i would get intel but you make your choice there
the mobo seems overpriced
why there is a a400 there?
1050 ti is ovepriced and terrible for the value, i would take a look at used market instead.
Vrm?
eh, i would spend a little more on a better mobo tho
What kind?
10 bucks more tho
but seems a better choice
Is it fine to pair the 3300x with a 2060/2060S? And is 550 watts enough
it's not the best pair but i think thats ok
though i would go for a ryzen 5 though
as the cores might help in newer AAA games on where they benefit of the extra cores
also yes, 550w should be enough but depends on the PSU model aswell
Problem is Ryzen 5 3600 is almost double the price of the 3300X here
The psu is a CX550M 80 plus bronze, is it fine?
Yup
what is the recommended power supply for 5600x and 3070
my friends 2070 super stopped working
when he turns it on
no fans spinning
lights on and no display
he thinks its psu
My 2070 got fried 2 days ago massive F no idea why I'm assuming it was the sleeved extensions but im not sure still..
All on my birthday aswell :Bruh:
Oh no
Never go cheap on extensions
That happened to my friend last year and he lost his Pc
Also, no, not TV, just large monitor.
is the second pic THE GPU
😱
Yes indeed 🤧
Sadly I got my pc from cyberpower originally and these were the extensions they had included. Sucks because it took 1 year and 3 months before any issues
f
Hey can i have a help
My friend bought a prebuild pc from newegg
There is no name for the gpu brand
Wait i will send you the link
You can't post links yet but I got it
You need drivers or something?
Ohhh
Probably a Zotac or PNY
There ya go. What's the issue?
I saw pny is not good
Not necessarily true
They tend to not overclock as well as the others but a 3060TI is a 3060TI
It'll be just fine
Thnks for the help
YW
@little osprey xotic PC, CyperPower, Origin, Maingear you can get that setup from a few different places if you want a prebuilt
Well
Different parts too
Ye, not bad
So like I’m having issues now, my pc won’t even display to my monitor even though it was just doing so.
Nvm, got it.
Lol.
Anyway I was wondering. I’m about to basically be doing an entire system swap. I’m replacing everything except my GPU and ram(for now). Is there anything I should do with my old MoBo before I list it for sale? Do I need to clear cmos or something?
he is probably thinking of XMP profiles or something with the person he is selling it to, messing up their RAM or something without them knowing what to do
Ok guys I need help it’s my first time solo building a pc, I’ve got a motherboard with Sata 3 6gb ports, but my psu and the kraken z73 use the old larger sata heads what do I do? Is there a converter?
How to I plug the Sata power to data?
You DON'T
lol
Here
This is Sata power, for hard drives and things
This is data for drives ONLY
If you need the SATA power, it comes from the Power Supply
For the Kraken
Has anyone been experiencing long shipping times
So I don’t need to plug into the mobo?
for what exactly?
If oyu have an M.2 drive, you don't need the motherboard sata
Ok Thankyou! I have m.2 instead
Ye
Ok great was worried, couldn’t figure out how Sata linked to Sata 😂
I ordered a prebuilt on Boxing Day and it’s now 3 days late from the last day on the range
Lol
where did you order it from
At least I levelled up on here, thanks for your help ♥️
Shipping times are delayed for many reasons, if you ordered from Newegg, DM NeweggService
YW
Come back if you have more questions
Yeah
DM newegg service
Please DM NeweggService
Ok thank you
YW
It's been recommended to me in the past to build from scratch vs part by part on an existing build but due to budget issues I've been doing the latter. I've recently purchased new RAM, and an SSD, and a friend is gifting a 2080 super that's about 3 months old once she finds a 3080. I have an i5 processor still am pretty sure the time to upgrade is coming soon. How much of a PITA is it to swap the processor (and obviously MOBO with it) to Ryzen?
A little work in Windows
Not hard
Link Windows 10 to a Microsoft account
uninstall all old drivers and hardware
Install new part, boot back up, install new drivers
and once windows deactivates, dont worry
10 minutes lol
ymmv
I have no problem taking it apart, I expect and enjoy that part of it.
alright, then should be easy
Thanks all, just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting into something that was a serious "NO!"
dont worry at all.
just gonna be some long and tedious work
make sure you keep everything organized, thats all
With drivers and such, 20 minutes lol
Would it be a bad idea to buy a used PSU
Depends on how old it is
Especially one used for mining
Caps dry out over time which means the PSU doesnt provide it's full power
Ahh
So just as an example, a 700W psu after 3 years might only put out 650W or something
There's no set scale but they do degrade over time
I see thanks
I have an rtx 3060 ti, which takes two 6x2 connectors, I have a cable that is one psu end, then two 6x2 connectors, will that work or should I use two cables?
Two cables is best if you can
It draws 200 watts, which is about the max one cable can supply
One cable is ok, but its better to use two
np
where i can buy 3060ti 🤔
sent you an invite to a server with a stock monitoring bot
dont worry hes lying
Nope
its all a myth
if you are trying to upgrade instead of build something new I would wait till Hopper comes out tbh
Hopper is 2022 lol
hey whats a good cheap mesh case?
Td500 mesh
P400a
P360A, P400
Or lancool 2 mesh
yeah, IDK what that even is
havent heard of it
Mobiule APU's I think
Sounds like the codename of a new xbox or something
like Scorpio or Scarlett or Lockhart
Exactly that, rumors
Cuz, those specs are now called Hopper lol
Until nVidia makes an official announcement, it's literally all rumor and speculation and shouldn't be trusted
true, but they already booked TSMC's 5nm node
I've heard the name Ada as a pet name for robots
but not Lovelace
ah
she worked on the Analytical Engine
Just like 2000-series was named after Turing and 3000-series named after Ampere
and soon another thing named after Grace Hopper
"Beware, this is entirely based on rumors, and with how little we know about Nvidia's next GPU architectures, there's a huge chance most of this info is wrong. But, at least this post can give us some clues as to where Nvidia is headed."
71% increase is not how things typically work
just hope it is relatively cheap to manufacture
not typically
Typically it's 15-25% increase generation to generation
but it can happen
Not likely, at all
the entire turing stack isnt even announced yet, that wont come until at least late 2022
I like to hope
Exactly Sassy
All this is just headline clickbait lol
Not really
2060 super vs 3060TI for example is about 20-25%
Extremely
"Rumors and Speculation"
it'd be nice if it was real tho
might be able to run Cyberpunk
Exactly
I wouldnt say 'yet'
We don't even have the full Ampere lineup yet
Like we've been saying, Rumors and Speculation
just Dust and Echoes on the internet
SKU's don't mean products
Prototype
Prototype
seeing how it might look on their website
possibly
JD do be typin doh
what he gonna say
There have been leaks for a ton of products that are just vaporware
question, would it be a good idea to order my build in pieces rather than full build all at once?
I'd only order some parts, I was thinking of getting my Case and Extra Fans, maybe Ram, 500GB sn750, PSU. I figure those are fine if warranty runs out before I can get the rest.
MAYBE
sure
Nothing wrong with that
https://newegg.io/0bc022f thoughts on this $600 build?
uhhh old ass workstation that has ddr3 1600 and can't even overclock Ram or CPU because HP Sucks
i3 10100 better and cheaper and in stock
pretty gud
I'd be able to get any of those. Everything is in stock ATM.
imagine thinking that's the best CPU you can buy
https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-threadripper-3990x/p/N82E16819113621
theres the best
3995WX
speaking of OP CPUs, been playing E-Sports career on PCBS recently, and 2 of the madlads in the "Fortfight" Duos league had Intel X CPUs. It was a #BruhMoment for Me honestly
The XE's?
the msi b460m pro sound good?
should be fine, its not full mATX tho, so you just have to be careful installing the 24pin power
what are some full mATX you know?
the non full mATX boards are fine
Yes
you just have to put your fingers under the 24 pin connector when installing it
so you dont damage the board
whats the rating of the gigabyte GP-p450B
P650 is Tier C but can't find the P450b
ok and what about the rosewill arc 450
Tier D
dang ok
is there anything tier S?
now im looking at a apevia atx-as450w
never even heard of apevoa
sorry apevia
still
I don't have much info on Apevia
apevia is decent
thanks
That is better than all the other PSU's you've listed
sweet thank you
What does hybrid mode do on a sea sonic psu
Ahh
Yep, not a fan of "quiet mode" PSU's
Are ocz psus good
heat bad
OCZ is Tier C
Hm
Only one on the list
Well there's another one
Tier D
Cheat sheet
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev. 14.6 Last Update: 29-11-2020 Gray - EoL / obsolete. Generally not recommended for purchase since its going to be pre-owned, refurbished or old stock. Green - small form-factor (gold and blue colors are disregarded due to scarcity of SFX PSUs) Gold - best units in the tier (...
So i don't think Newegg has even shipped my computer
psucultists? lol
They do a LOT of testing
the name is funny
also @fresh garden is not responding
Taku
Mike will say the same thing
but he isnt one you should ask abt this
also newegg uses usps i believe
UPS
fedex
oh
All kinds of shippers
yea then it might be an issue on thier end
stock? what is stock?
items that are available
It says purolator and Canada post for me
so for instance, when microcenter says 10 3090's are in stock, it means 10 3090s available
you can try asking them if you have a tracking number
hey looking at a evga 400 n1 whats the rating on this?
when I use the tracking number given to me by newegg it says they can't find it and that I should ask the shipper if they have sent it
80+ one of the worse units
oh god ok
you should ask the shipper
They haven't responded on Discord and their live chat isn't responding even though it says 24/7
andI'm pretty sure it's not a holiday or anything
I was joking about how nothing is ever in stock
I'm sorry but you'll have to be patient. No one here can help you with that issue.
i have autism and ADHD so i get it
Can I put a windows installer on an external hard drive?
Yes
ive been told no
It'll wipe the drive though
which is better the i3 10100 or the r3 3200g
so very weird thing on Mem Express I found. Arctic P12 is $17.99 each and Arctic P14 is only $12.99
Pricing Mix-up? lol
Yes
dang so I could have used my 4tb external HDD instead of searching around the house for 4 hours for a flash drive with more than 8gb?
64 bit
Ok thx
i3 10100
im pretty sure 3200g has better integrated graphics, no?
https://newegg.io/e47a8ed so hows this
yeah, if you use them
i also have the exact same price amd one
just asking for curiosity. I see the 1650 on his list.
sadly i cant buy used
1650 still runs circles around the vega 8 igpu
im trying to make it easier to buy from one place
of course
that only makes it harder by limiting your options
ik but for a friend who doesnt know anything about computers
i dont want him to go on a hunt for stuff he doesnt know
Any1 know where I can get a good molded 3060 to or 3070 that's less than
50 more than msrp?
If not any where I can get a sapphire pulse 5600xt for less than 50 more msrp
what is your friend planning to do with this system?
Gotta wait for drops and stock
game
nothing in stock anywhere
does he need peripherals and a monitor?
no he already has it
please dont drop your question in multiple channels
he has a really crappy build
what does he already have? does he have a case he could reuse?
or is he using a prebuilt system
is there a way to bring up a pricing error to Memory Express? the P12 Fans are $17.99 whilst the P14 Fans are only $12.99
nope
yeah, so hes using the iGPU
the 10100 is not significantly better than the 8400. its certainly not 200 dollars better
imo, stick with the cpu and motherboard you have
could you link the prebuilt system he has?
he doesnt know what he has exactly
could he take a picture of the case?
i had to give him step by step on how to open task manager
lol
but he knows how to take picture with a phone, right?
ctrl+shift+escape
yes
good, tell him to take a good pic of the system
i just did and now we wait
Can anybody help me find the pins on my motherboard that are supposed to connect to the extra case fans I just bought?
consult the motherboard manual
No way
Yeah
I was confused on why it only had 2 pins
WHere did that fan come from?
I purchased 2 of them off Amazon
Looks like an industrial fan
oh god
Yeah, or server fans
on the plus side, PC will be crisp and cool
You need PWM fans
@viral ore i sent the picture
😭😭😭😭😭😭
Noctua has good PWM fans
Reason: Bad word usage
good fans in general
Get a refund perhaps iV?
Yeah
My gpu has had high temps so I kinda just ordered the first thing I saw
Anybody have any suggestions for 2 cheap fans I can buy off Amazon?
worst noctua fans
wait
Are they solid?
which fans?
you could slap a GTX 1650 in there
is redux-1700 not good? Noctua usually is solid
yea i saw that
anything noctua is good
you literally cant go wrong
rip xd
40,529th intel stock cooler joke in this server
so would him just buying a gpu and ram be better then the build i have for him now?
its like the attack helicopter joke
yep
but slightly more excusable
1660 super needs a PCIe power cable
oh ok
i doubt that system has one available
arent optiplex PSUs semi modular?
it also has a proprietary psu
its an HP desktop
this ^
oh
yea
my b
you could have him take the side panel off and take a pic
might be able to see what loose cables there are
also, some systems like this only provide 35w to the PCIe x16 slot
totally out of spec, but they do it anyway
if thats the case then you cant add a gpu
another thing to check for is an ssd
how would you be able to tell
researching the board model
forum posts
sometimes OEM systems have spec sheets that list it
but all this info is unobtainable if i dont have the exact model number of the system
so i get the model number of the pc and where would i find that sheet?
i would find it for you
likely
sometimes, look all around the case for any stickers with numbers on it
they slap em on the bottom usually
I’m installing windows do I just boot to the external hard drive I have the installer on?
yeah
you should just be able to plug it in i think. Don't quite remember
Yeah
this is the best he can get
Oh the windows install think just popped up
Cool
just asked him to get the pc model number
im seeing models of this system that come with GPUs such as the RX 550 and GTX 1050, both of which do not require a PCIe power cable
hmmmmmmmmmmm
RX 580 8GB for $388.50 (thats my back-up card if I can't get 5700XT when I'm ready for CPU + GPU)
or
5700XT for $700
you should be able to run a card in this board
lol none, just wait a month or two
well I'm not getting money for a long time lol. Future Planning
neither
I like 5700XT. Seems like a good card
picking pc components isnt something you plan, its something you do in 10 minutes
No I plan
no, you dont
good time killer
im telling you not to
oh, yeah, for killing time and stuff, sure, but dont think anything you plan will be worth anything
then dont burden us with your "planning"
5700XT is honestly oof. o many issues with those cards
yeah, thats true
RX 580 tho, best 1080p60 card
Tech Jesus lol
I'd be pairing with a 3600. I figure its good for Budget
took him a minute xD
dope
HP
ALRIGHT FINE.
R5 5600x and 6900XT then
👍
Your planning should happen when you have the money together
I can always do actual planning that matters when that time comes
which I will do
because PC expensive
ngl its nice to be able to have a base for when you start
slap a GTX 1650 in that system, along with another identical 8gb stick of ram
Planning is my life. I Plan everything out alot
With new products being announced next week, everything right now is kinda moot lol
the system has an intel optane drive in it, take it out and put in a real ssd
reinstall windows 10
Optane........
Yeah but new = more expensive than whats on my current List
Not really
I doubt any new Ryzen CPU will be cheaper than a 3600
so
not exactly wasted time
assuming a 3600 is still good enuff
3600 is back to 199 at newegg
Especially with 11gen just around the corner
194*
whats the exact intel equivalent of a 3600 then?
10600k
10400 limited to slower memory in most cases
yes, i missed this part
Well, 11th gen coming soon too
lmao
So, all bets are off
how intel does this all on the same process node boggles the mind
I know
11th gen is gonna be quite the refined chip
Leaks look good but we wait for benchmarks to see
me when 12th gen single core performs worse than 11th
3600 = $310 right now
10400 @ 2.9 Base Clock = $277
10600k = $371 but its on sale with Newegg, regular $423
cad pricing?
3600 obv
Canada sucks for Parts, I'll say it all the time
worth the extra 40 over the 10400
and yes 3600 all the way. I prefer AMD and pretty sure by default all or most come Unlocked but I can't speak for intel so
current market AMD seems like a no brainer. Cheap and really solid
2xM.2 should be on all of em
fan headers arent an issue
and 4 fans headers is fairly average
splitters exist, even if your board doesnt have 4
fair
which is unlikely if its already got dual M.2
on sale b550m for 3600 is $137
z490 is waaaaay expensive. Cheapest I could see was like $223
I'm fine with b550m
sad
expensive side yes, but Mr1111 recommended a very nice board that I like so
I'll stick with it
What cpu are you getting?
3600
overkill board I know
well, true overkill would be 3600 with an x570 board
but still
Which board?
ASRock b550m pro4
i never liked asrock until i found out that it's 100% controllable by synapse
If I stop being lazy and actually try and get a job this year, even with min wage part time I can earn the money I need easily
Synapse?
As in razer synapse??
mhm
What
thats cool
I'm just glad that the board I'm looking at doesn't have RGB Accents
the regular b550 does for some weird reason
I’m looking to upgrade my graphics card to make my current PC a decent gaming setup. It currently has a GTX 1060 3GB set up. I purchased a 144hz monitor and upgraded the RAM of my PC from 8gb to 32gb
32gb is quite alot for gaming
Currently I play on my 60hz tv, but planning on running the gaming to the monitor
16gb is minimum for gaming, 32gb is a decent amount, 64gb is overkill
It’s mainly a server for my Plex movies. I’m building out a gaming PC as well. I just want this one to be decent so both my kids can play at the same time
nothing comes to mind as to needing 32gb for recommended spec
least not RIGHT now
on what?
16gb is minimum for AAA gaming
games plus other background tasks
hm
32 gb too much
interesting
24 gb perfect
hence why 16gb is minimum
32gb is situational
Correct, it will be streaming my movies to family and friends and still allow me to play Warzone 😁
well what CPU does it have right now
16gb plus a good ssd is all most gamers need, but if your budget is like 2k+, nothing wrong with going 32gb
mine already 2k+ with only 16 lol
Whats ur list
I have 2
I’ll send you the exact computer I purchased. I’m not super savvy. Just want to replace the graphics card. It was a crappy build
I dunno about 32gb as the recommended middle point, I'd say it's an above average point
Mm
