Is it a mistake to use an older PSU? Its an old high end Corsair CX750M(5ish years old, just out of warranty) 750 Watt PSU, used in a PC that only barely sipped like 200-300 watts at full load

Nope its a B450 and x570 using onboard graphics.

I can connect two older AMD Gigabyte builds using the same power supply, ethernet, etc and there is no popping sound in the audio ( an FA2688HM-H and an F2A88XM-D3HP) I;m streaming AMazon Music HD. The problem occurs less frequently with a CD or Music on a hard drive

There is a section of interface inside the bios/chipset that handles audio and it can also be seen on some motherboards. @stoic island is saying that is messed up

Multiple MBs because (Poor Newegg) RMA on 1st Gigabyte B450 same result on 2nd and RMA for that one so same deal with a Biostar B450 RMA on that, then Gigabyte said update some new driver they had so got ANOTHER gigabyte b450 same result RMA on that and then upgraded to a Gigabyte X570 (only other thing using this picasso processor) and I'm still getting the popping in the audio.

Well yes on the fresh install. Each of these got a brand new W10 pro build when it went in. I've even powered them using the power supply from a non-popping build, and eliminated the new M.2 do hicky by doing an fresh Windows 10 Pro on an old HD. Still Pops

I'm glad you guys aren't having this problem, but It's definitely somewhere on the MB/Processor/Memory stuff. I've even removed the mb from any case at all and tried headphones on the line out. I guess I'm just saying these two gaming boards are not gonna work for HTPC applicaion
