That build wise, I'd get 3600c16 ram if possible, like a kit of Ballistix 3600c16 is 75usd. I'd get a better case, anything from a MX330-g air if budget is tight, Meshify C on sale at a similar price right now, or TD500 mesh/P400a/P500a/Lancool ii mesh/etc

spikes can still be harmful to PSU/GPU. Like with some EVGA 3090 and 3080(?) cards spiking too high and blowing fuses on the cards themselves

boosting was tuned down, but cuz of Strix being at 480w and theirs being at 450w they pushed to 500w. Allows for some more overhead, tho spikes are out of control now and it can spike to a lot more then 500w. I think I heard of 650w spikes? Cant remember now. Either way some FTW3 cards have been getting some blown fuses since then, might just be bad batch of fuses, bad vBIOS, or both. @stoic island

@timber swallow would like to have something full water-cooled. my case air flow isn't the best, zotac for 3090 is not the best, but you can up the clock speeds a lot with no issues

I'd think it would be fine. I've never had any heat issues with vrms, but if it was designed to only be cooled via watercooling, it might be an issue
