if you ever upgrade to better wifi than 50MB/s, which is quite likely

you'll want better wifi chip.

(mbps is megabits per second, MB/s is megabytes per second, and MB/s is the number you commonly see with like game download speeds on steam)

the 802.11 ac protocol depending on the wifi chip could do ~1200mbps

@charred herald it would be either impossible or a waste of money, because Intel is actually fairly comparible to current gen Ryzen, just slightly behind, but going Intel platform means you can't get a Ryzen chip. Going last gen Ryzen means giving up close to 20% of the performance, and buying a new chip is, well, making the purchase of the previous gen chip a slight waste of money.

@charred herald To have a working machine, it must have a CPU and a compatible Motherboard.
So if you wanted a working machine, but wanted it to be usable before you could get a next-gen CPU, you must get a placeholder CPU, and the easiest way to do that is buying a last gen CPU (Like a 3600, instead of the current gen 5600x) until you can get a current gen CPU
