that is the worst looking mobo i have ever seen
i would rather have a green pcb than whatever that abomination is
Hah
I like it :(
hell i would rather have one of the disgusting yellow pcbs from the old socket 7 days
sexy
Yellow PC build ☺️
that board looks great
Yeah, ig
techie colored motherboard... LOL
I like the gaming x's design over Asus' orange accents lel
Not the usual "lol hahaha we only have black and uhh, white."
i like my motherboard, it looks like a slab of black
3 techies in one chat at the same time
X570 unify
@viral ore do not
Honestly there's literally just black mobos everywhere
Invoke the brick bios
i saw this one board that had the cpu socket on the opposite side of the board, stupid idea, but they also put a ton of the SMDs on the back too
10400 smh
though if you're spending extra for the Z board you might want to spend the extra $20 for 3600C16 as well, but if you don't it's not a big deal
What board from? @viral ore
Ohh i remember dose the b550 aorus pro solve the usb problem?
not my convo
basically just faster ram
is there any mobo under €100 (z390) 4 channel ram?
slot sorry
ignoring the cpu socket, they should do motherboards like this
because
then the front looks like this
But CPU cooling
@raven fog would this work? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07HS4XS93
literally looks like legos
lol ye
lemme see
does cpu clock matter a lot
no
mk
It looks like it literally is made from so many legos
there's a lot more factors in cpu performance than just clock speed
you can't post links yet so dm me whatever you were trying to link @raven fog
Lancool ii mesh good case
oh i wus just saying thx haha
☞ ̄ᴥ ̄☞(^3^♪
like i said, it's fine but you can consider faster ram for $20 more as well
depends on if you care about that extra $20
if you do 1080p60 this will prob last more than 5 years
im going to upgrade my monitor eventually to 1080p144 but i'll cap at 70 in certain games
144 for csgo and the likes
70 for metro exodus
oh yeah this will definitely do 1080p144 in esports
obv
will do way more than that
my gpu is only half as powerful and gets 1440p240 in league no problem
im honestly getting this build to play metro and fallout 4 and resident evil and minecraft pocket edition
gpu?
ive lived with 60hz my entire life
can an f series intel cpu be oveeclocked?
it should be able to do 100-120 fps in metro exodus
i dont think my virgin eyes can handle 240
if it's KF yes
nice
if it's just F no
ah k thx
F just means nonfunctioning integrated graphics
K means overclockable
KS means you have more money than sense
how do i get windows 10 key for cheap
T is thermally constrained for small form factor office PCs
^
am i allowed to talk about pirating stuff here
imma need a link for a somewhat legit post
probably not
Is it really pirating
not really
When it's just buying keys from eBay
a little cmd prompt magic and boom windows 10 pro
i may have done it a dozen times or so
Meh
im waiting till i build my pc to buy windows key
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DqFzPV I think this is the build I will end up making. Any thoughts?
Less annoying then doing cmd/regedit to get rid of watermark and such
@manic tapir https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xJrTMv
@earnest olive what’s the difference between the gpu’s? would the one with two fans run cooler? also a more expensive ssd?
would consider a 5600XT if you don't need nvidia features
when i get this, what do i need to change in order for it to disappear?
what about a 5700 xt?
basically means it gets really bad as you fill it up
if you can afford it then yeah 5700xt would smash 2060 in gaming perf
they are around the same price but i am hoping the price will drop
so like $30 more
$385 for a decent triple fan model rn
there's another 5700XT for $350 but it's a hot and loud dual fan
yeah
i would much rather pay the extra $35 for a better cooler
though i have open backed headphones so i care about noise during gaming too
i got that one -_-
if you have noise cancelling headphones you could just run that with super fast fans and probably be fine
it's by no means a bad product
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HWbCmG/msi-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8-gb-mech-oc-video-card-rx-5700-xt-mech-oc what’s the difference from a 2 fan and a 3 fan gpu?
i just personally like spending a bit more for a better cooler
well tbh i dont really care for noise
better cooler = lower temperature or less noise at the same temperature
i find it's worth the $35, not everyone does
i don’t care too much for the noise that is what headphones are for
my headphones are open backed
what do i have to change to get rid of this?
@fallen escarp how many drives do you have?
i mean the msi is at a really low price right now
if you aren't using literally every sata port on your motherboard, you can ignore it
two currently, just an SSD and an HDD
then ignore it
is golden field a sketchy psu brand?
k
never heard of golden field before
ah k not gonna get that then lool
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DkYnp2 this is my build. just waiting on the ram, gpu and mobo
good build
been waiting to get one for a while now
how does one determine what wattage psu to get?
is there any 600w psu thats like budget enough without ketchup and mustard cables?
80 plus i guess
wattage isn't the end all be all of power supplies
Evga BA 500w
so 650w 80+ gold for a 414w system is good?
i just heard from someone that you want to double the wattage of the system to make it the most efficient and safe
Well that's not really how it works..?
efficient? sure maybe
safe? no
Most efficient on most PSUs are at about 80% load afaik
and it's really not worth overspending that much for a little more power efficiency
well that’s good to know i could have saved some money
Very low load would actually be less efficient afaik
but i can OC or upgrade in the future without getting a new psu so i guess that’s good
this is the curve for my psu
Hm
peak efficiency is around 45 on 230Vac and 40 on 115Vac
I thought it was 80%
regardless, it's not worth spending that much more
it may be for other power supplies
this is just mine
Dunno, I'll have to look further into it at some point
the amount of money you save on electricity bill from the few % difference in power efficiency won't pay for the price difference of the psus for the entire lifetime of the pc
no reason to stick a $150 850W corsair rm into a $800 budget build
And by the way, efficiency doesn't determine how clean the power is in terms of ripple and such.
That depends on the quality of the PSU.
is the gigabyte p650b a good one?
it's decent for a budget unit
P-B is a decent budget unit
thx
is a powerspec ps 650gsm a decent psu?
Equivalent to a EVGA BR
dang
Try a Phanteks amp 650w at 100$ maybe
what about with a 5600 xt?
still pushing it a bit
If that doesn't fit in the budget, NeoEco gold Zen 600w is usually like 80$ or so?
would pair that with like a 5500xt or gtx 1660 at most
so i need to get a new one and hope i can return the one i already got?
i mean it'll work, just not a great pairing
by not a great pairing you mean.... efficiency is not as good or it’ll run bad?
it's just a low end psu with a high end graphics card

might potentially cause problems down the line
you think it will last a year?
ok that’s good enough for me
i let people who are smarter than me figure out these ratings
well i bought it at a micro center that’s an hour away from me and i’m not sure what the return policy is but driving an hour away would suck
what does 5700xt even compare to in nvidia gpus?
i heard it’s a little better than a 2060 but i could be wrong
my first build took me 3 hours

he’s built different
if you have water cooling and many bells and whistles then a long time lol
yeah no air cool here
water cool seems like too much work to take care of
could also go very wrong very fast if not done correctly
sips, you ever had to make a water cooled build for someone?
hi @whole harbor
hi
how was your day?
solid 6.5/10
so not good?
gn people im off
well i just found out i have to drive an hour to a micro center to return a psu and get a different one
^
i couldn’t agree more
@little osprey yeah a few
my own build is water cooled too
does my 3600x need it? no
does it look pretty? yeah
the NeoECO seems good sips but it would be nice to have a semi modular psu but i guess it doesn’t matter
honestly it's really easy to cable manage a non modular psu unless you're doing a SFF build
who wants 8tb for $180
what is a SFF build?
small form factor
here's a budget build i did with a non modular psu in a micro atx tower
8tb=$220
took like 30 minutes
oh ok but i don’t think i am doing that

what is the best AIo 2020
i am up
is the 1660 a good gpu?
man I remember when
it's not bad for budget
my old all in one pc
this build was $700
what is the best2020 AIO
ran roblox at under 10 FPS
poh
g
dont get the regi
i was thinking of getting a 5700 xt
doesn't fit in most cases though
what is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIOwhat is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIO
1660ti is like 230 250
what is the best2020 AIO
lol
what is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIO
what is the best2020 AIO
calm
i literally answered his question and now he's spamming
down
thats debatabled
yeah get a mod
nah
saw the generic anime girl pfp
don't ban me
and decided it was time
don't lol
He blocked me
does a 1660s handle newer games like cold war well?
Broa
but if i could get a 5700 xt i should?
yes
i mean
y not
you should just get what you can afford
well i am getting the expensive parts out of the way
well he got banned
rx5700xt is still a EXTREMELY good card for 2021
so it should last me for a long time then
the gtx 660 is the best card for 2021
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
a good 3-4yrs
trust
maybe then the 3060/3060ti is gon be out and affordable by then from resale prices
i thought vega 8 was the best of the best of you include integrated
THE 710 is crazy
550w would be enough for a 1070 ti and a R5 3600 right?
^^
evga BA
hmm
hmmmm
theres no rating
i wouldn't do it
i forget them
it's bronze rated
but not all bronze psus are created equal
bronze only talks about efficiency
idk if plat or white comes first
it doesn't seem the worst
it's not a terrible unit
but i'd go for something better
would pair that with an x60 card at most
there are psus that say 500W that will explode as soon as you hit it with 180W sustained
wattage is not an important number
it's not a peak psu
I just wanna make sure 550w in general is enough
haven't hard decided on a psu, the EVGA one is just one sale for a bit

BR not BA
br and bq

I mean
go with a 600w silver
jeez
if you buy a 500W psu and it explodes at 180W do you still count that as good enough to power a 500W system
just the price difference gets me
just like 15$ more expensive if you can get one
find one for that price
no protections
it explodes and takes your entire pc with it
lower price still looking good?
Sips weren't u gonna sleep a few hours ago?
no?
theres goods and bads to a bomb of a psu
Oh maybe it was someone else lol
i took a nap
i sleep pretty late usually
does warranty cover that or no?
@desert gulch there us no time for sleep with this
from 11 to 3

or is warranty just the PSU?
Juicyness
Lol linds

:(
no its 69.99
I'll look at the higher end ones but jeez
save one cent
$15-20 of price difference is worth the peace of mind for years
canada
it's about a 40 price jump
but that's not entirely wrong so maybe I'll take a peek at higher end units
and not worrying about sticking your feet in your pc case and it exploding
why
wym
why stick your feet it in
Psu is the one thing you never wanna cheap out on
Set feet on fire
its a cold winter night your gaming hard with the bois (or girls)
your feet are cold, the blanket isnt working
open side panel
Don't you hate it when your blanket runs outta battery?
man that gpu is lookin mighty cozy
your currency is worth less so its more expensive
but they just about even out when you convert over countries(continents)
how much is it in cad?
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qn7v6h/seasonic-focus-gold-650w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-650fm this is a very good unit for 107 cad
oh wait i still have cali sales tax filter on
WHAT
wait nvm i don't
doesn't apply on canadian pcpp lol
on US pcpp i have it auto calculate tax for me
I can't seem to find the MWE one
us too
anyways might be worth looking into that 90 cad one
lemme check newegg
500W on a good unit would be enough for your system
in the us we have auto tax
canada computers is a bit weird sometimes
and it's a good unit
my friend in montreal has no issues there but idk about your area
you even just feel like
“man i really hate this”
I can only find a third party seller who's overpricing it
idk man, if I didn't love computers I wouldn't be sitting here for 5 hours helping people
not getting paid to do this
is the seasonic S12III any better than the EVGA one?
NO
not really
OK
that psu known to do a lil boom boom sometimes
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/zphmP6/antec-neoeco-gold-zen-500-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-ne500g-zen but yeah this one should be good for your current system
though it doesn't have a whole lot of headroom if you want to upgrade to something like a 3080
it'll power your current system fine on a budget
woah
yeah 3080 is never really gonna be an upgrade for me lol
I got lucky with my 1070 ti
and got it for cheaper than usual
i've seen them selling for 150 usd here
really?
maybe my area just has bad deals because I got it for 150
lol
thought I was getting a good deal
150 cad?
150 usd would be considered a good deal here
they can go for 180-200 but i've seen 150
150 cad would be a fantastic deal
150 usd
not cad sadly
but it was still a decent deal considering it was a amp extreme card
would say more than decent
not knock-your-socks-off amazing but definitely a good deal
knock-your-socks-off amazing is the kind of black magic demonmit pulls to get 1080tis at that price
if only
i bought a 1080ti new for $415 in january
this is probably gonna be my build for awhile so I'll try to make it count
sold it in july for $500 used lol
one way to earn some money
$115 for the NeoECO
with tax and everything
big price increase lol but I'll keep my eyes out for a deal
that's a psu you can count on to last for years
does psu warranty include other parts, if it takes them with it?
that psu has protections to not take other parts with it
i'm not gonna lie i don't know, i let people who are smarter than me classify this
just know that some power supplies will have stuff like kill switches if bad power is detected
and some will happily eat your entire system alive
tasty snack to eat
I can't stop looking at the EVGA one man :(
I'll never get over the price difference lol
but it's better to be safe
here's what happens when you go wrong voltage without UVP/OVP
Wrong voltage is supplied to PIII motherboard. Do not try this at home!
the EVGA psu does have OVP UVP yeah, all but the absolute worst do
alright
man I'm too excited over getting my pc built
do you know if delta RGB ram is any good?
I've been looking for info on that but I haven't found any decent info
as far as rgb ram goes it's reasonably priced
non rgb ram will always be better performance for price
Feel you. Had to get a lot of advice before buying my parts haha
yeah that's me rn
yeah I'll probably still with non rgb ram
just excited to play on 144hz ngl
fwiw i don't have a budget and i'm still using solid black non rgb ram
i have enough floodlighting in my system to not need rgb ram
all of my lighting is solid white
nice I'll probably figure out a colour scheme soon
my pc has a literal rave mode button but i feel sick after looking at it for 2 seconds
solid white light for me thanks
haha I have no idea what I'll try and get mine to look like
as long as rgb is a smooth transition, I don't mind it
yeah I agree
eh
i can't imagine sitting next to this for hours
smooth changes into different colours looks nice imo
don't mind the backplate-less 1060
still trying to get my hands on a 6800xt
smh

tried to buy 3080 since launch
probably in the next years at least
nvidia doesn't want my money
I don't see why AMD wasn't able to prepare for the stock issues
when NVDIA was having them, you'd think they'd prepare a bit more
well...
AMD is on tsmc 7nm which has limited capacity that different companies gotta fight over
plus covid is causing issues with supply chain and global logistics in general
that's fair enough, I always forget about covid for some reason
intel not having nearly as many stock issues as ryzen right now because intel has their own fabs
like Ontario's cases aren't shooting through the roof
amd has to ask tsmc for wafers
wakey wakey tsmc
time for school
I'm excited to game but watching shows on my PC will be something new
I'm excited to do that
happen to be doing that right now
nice for my math textbook too
you have to game on a 92k monitor for it to be any good
hmm
it's funny how i'm being constrained by morals rather than budget
i refuse to buy from scalpers regardless of if i can afford it or not
the 3300x is a unique problem
my dad said he should buy one to sell for more
I told him not to
saved someone from scalper hell
seriously
the 3300x requires a single perfect 4 core CCX
while the 3600 uses 2 flawed 3 core CCX
the 3300X is also an extremely low margin product
while they could put perfect 4 core CCX into a higher margin 3700X or 3950X
3700X especially is a high demand product
I guess it kinda works because now I'm buying a 3600 instead of a 3300x
a 3 core CCX of a 3600 can only go into a 3600 or a 3900X, and the 3900X is not so high demand
so they have little motivation to sell the 3300X in first world countries
pain
if you go to third world countries you will see more stock of the 3300X
3600x is cheaper rn but 3600 will be cheap once it goes in stock for sure
you live in ontario, it's easier for you to make the jump to 3600 than someone earning $2000 a year
I'm saving up the allowance my parents give me lol
i think it's a good thing that AMD is making those cheaper parts available in poorer countries
I've applied for jobs but I'm too young to work really
having an allowance is a privilege
I'm legally allowed to but
i never had an allowance growing up
my parents bought me school laptops
had to work for my first game console at age 13
i still cherish that nintendo 3ds to this day
I have an all in one rn
they're ruthless
9 years later
I was able to play fortnite on 40 fps low settings low 3d resolution
my parent's made it so when we don't do something were asked, we owe them instead though
i'd rather have the 3300X in a country where kids' parents have to sacrifice their own meals to make sure their kids can eat than a country where kids save up allowance to buy a pc

That was when the game came out. Now idk cause i dont play fortnite
so if we don't do the stuff they ask, we then get nothing, even if we just miss one thing
if that is how dire their situation is, I dont think they'd be able to afford a 3300x, or even a 1200AE when it was $60
well no not saying that they would be the ones buying it
Is it safe to buy windows from G2A?
yea
i would say so
everything i've bought from there has been legit
and some went up to the price of £75
and it was legit
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vXY4p2
i need help choosing a mobo
wifi please
@quartz loom make sure you're not buying windows 10 with windows 10 pro downloaded, seen people make that mistake.
also G2A offers refunds for non working codes
is custom loop watercooling worth it?
Why not just go AMD and get a 5600x? Intel is not the ideal option rn
5600x stock problems
3600 would be fine
Worth the wait tho
Rather than setting yourself up with already outdated parts
someone built a new rig for me
including the 5600x '_'
For a 1660 super, what CPU should I get? i7 9700K or Ryzen 2700X? (Using pc for streaming, gaming and editing)
both are good cpus but i would get the ryzen one for your purposes
I wouldn't touch either of those CPUs. Get a 3600 or 3700X
And, I would look at not getting a 1660 Super. I'd get a 2060 Super
Guys
Does my pc have a pwm fan header https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hFsv4d
Because I’m getting 6 of these fans ARCTIC P12 PWM PST - 120 mm Case Fan with PWM Sharing Technology (PST), Pressure-optimised, Quiet Motor, Computer, Fan Speed: 200-1800 RPM - White/White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081VPP24C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_DFNUFbP22426H?psc=1
Why are you getting SIX fans?!?
You need like, 4 fans.
And, at that point. Just buy a White P400A Digital and you will need to buy 0 fans.
@formal cosmos gonna reply to me about my suggestion?
Ima just get 4 fans then
Nah
Because the P400A is also just a better case than the 4000D Airflow
I want that case
Why.
I don’t like the p400a
The P400A Digital White is A. Thermally superior and B. Cheaper
It has too much black
The black is to help make any RGB elements to be less reflective.
Good
Also, the 4000D will not be cheaper after you buy fans.
Well no $hit
Therefore objectively the best decision is P400A Digital White
Tbh
You could even just spray paint the inside White if you must have an ALL white case.
I'd grab 4000d for aesthetics
Why though? Contrast is like, a heavy thing in modern aesthetics
My pc isn’t gonna have any rgb
Why not?
Just buy some cheap case and spray paint it white.
If you aren't doing RGB then why do you need to see inside?
Because I wanna see my 3070
@versed rock aesthetics are personal preference
And I'd get a 4000d tbh
Or a td500 mesh white
I wouldn't. It's just flat worse than the P400A Digital White.
Takes more space, has worse thermals (if both are on equal fan footing)
Why do you want to see your 3070 if there's no RGB lighting it?
@versed rock better in my books for actually being able to support good air coolers
Prob not
Remove all those top fans, you should see a 3 to 5 degree reduction in temps
I doubt it..?
I don't.
If they're trying to do a negative pressure setup, that should actually improve temps
Tho stock cooler is eh
But Airflow cases like that thrive on Positive Pressure
Eh, I prefer negative pressure slightly, let some air go everywhere
The only cases that thrive on Negative Pressure are ones that have a closed off front panel.
Like some fresh air for GPU from vents
Yea airflow cases aren't designed for negative pressure, but doesn't mean it'll be bad.
You don't need to feed the GPU from vents if you have a gigantic wall of air coming in the front.
Tho stock cooler is not gonna have fun with that setup
If it was an aio or like a u12a
I think stock cooler fins are positioned like vertically
I believe they are.
He has 3 intake fans and 4 outtake fans
Yeah, and thats a nightmare for that case + cooler
Remove the 3 top exhaust fans and he should see a thermal improvement on CPU temps
How does removing fans improve?
More fans =/= more better
Basically the air is gonna hit the side of the CPU cooler and get sucked right out
Oh
Yeah, you aren't letting any air actually reach the CPU cooler
If the fins are like on a u12a and any tower cooler, air could actually go through the fins and get pulled out for good perf
Oh well, stock cooler is stock
The Enermax T50 Axe
Thats what I was thinking of.
It even comes in a White variant
is there anything i can change in this build to lower the price to roughly $600-$700 without altering the performance too bad? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
its going to be used for light gaming, the most intensive games would be war thunder and fortnite
Wrong li k
Wrong link
*link
That’s mine lmao
No, it's the wrong link
Haha
I’m confused
Wrong link
He grabbed the website URL at the top, not the direct link to the. Build list
Look at the link
Sup @formal cosmos
oh
Heyyy
Hey
there is a thing called budget....
And? Budgets can be pushed and modified. Just keep saving more money.
bruh
@versed rock There’s a rtx 2060 at Best Buy for $320
money doesnt come out of the sky
I cant find a cheap 2060
The price jump from a 1660S to 2060S isn't that much
No 2060 supers cost $400
2060S not 2060
is there anything i can change in this build to lower the price to roughly $600-$700 without altering the performance too bad? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
its going to be used for light gaming, the most intensive games would be war thunder and fortnite
The 2060 normal isn't worth it.
hm
Wrong link
where can I find a cheap 2060S
no thats the right link
Look harder for the correct link. It isn't difficult
thats the build
anyone give me a link?
No it isn't.
how
@stoic island https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4xGnTW/the 750w psu is worth the extra $10 right?
You need to give us the Direct Link
@versed rock The difference between the 2060 and 2060s is not a whole lot
The link you posted just links to a Blank List because it links to whatever you have cached as your last lisy.
You need the Direct Link
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4xGnTW/the 750w psu is worth the extra $10 right? @versed rock
i didnt even see that i was pasting the other one lol
Yeah, paying another 10 dollars for a 750w Amp is worth it
Step 1: Intel Bad
For the price a 3600 is at now.Yes
I can't modify it right now because I'm on Mobile.
Price
That cooler is meh at best, bad at worst.
?
300€
is this good for like 280 bucks
I'm not a fan of Asus boards, but that's a good deal.
Oh. B450?
That's a good deal, but I'd try for a B550 bundle
Damn
Oof that board isn't great.
Reason: Bad word usage
It isn't like, dirt bad
F word (explicit version)
No-no swearsies o:
But, it's mATX which might be funky for an ATX build.
the size is a visual thing only

Good board, but if you aren't building mATX then I'd look at a ATX board.
