could be your mobo only supports 4666?
if it makes you feel better I notice no difference from the 3600CL16 I replaceed
lol
yeah I think 4666 is the mobo max
@stoic island I need your seal of approval.
for
Best cheapest AIO?
I didn't know mobos had a limit on how fast the ram could be
@little osprey freezer ii 240mm
@stoic island but is it cheap?
100usd
I wish I could do 3800c14 to feel happy, but cant
I thought just how much space they could have
o
anything below that isn't worth an aio
might with 1.55v or smth
That’s cheap asf
also have a ryzen system so >4000mhz ram is not really even a consideration
it's the best performing aio I know
Yeh ima go get it
ok yeh
intel doesnt seem to care about faster ram as like i said I saw no real increase in fps or anything else for that matter lol
don't worry you can flex it on people
and that matters more than your gaming experience
yeah there is that

lol
you can also pull up an average fps counter and feel vindicated by the slightly higher number
who cares if you can't feel it
yeah when its like 205.4 frames instead of the 205.0 frames I was getting before I feel way better LOL
lol
800ms frametimes sounds quite good man
it's soo good for my slideshow presentation
powerpoint gamers
I did it for you guys so I could advise people against buying stupid expensive ram for no reason
I bought half stupid expensive so I could feel good
does anyone know the exact model of fans that are preinstalled in the coolermaster td500 mesh btw?
2x8gb close to price of cheapest 2x16gb
special
can't find it
special stuff
oh is it not normally for sale
:P
i wanna see the noise rating
that's my conclusion
they make a little clicky sound
so i'm considering replacing them
it's not really that much of a bother though
Wow have techies just turned this into their home
No
shoo
:(
@earnest olive I think its these
might be able to find the chinese model lying around somewhere
anyone have a pc part list for 500$?
mine don't have halo ring and they're white enclosures
anyone have a pc part list for 500$?
@burnt flame currency?
just paint it all white?
american, but 650 canadian
it has the shape of the first one
american, but 650 canadian
@burnt flame k
Why can't aorus make 1tb rgb nvme m.2's?
GL
Its oos
@burnt flame https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/NZMd9N
I made a Greek friend😉
as close to 650 as i could get it without skimping too hard
kind of amusing that in canada the cheapest 3200c16 set has rgb
yeah that's always an option
usually normal for OLOy
Lol
seen that sometimes for US
tho OLOy has been not seen as much in lowest price for US recently
first time i've seen oloy rgb being the cheapest 2x8 3200c16
usually see something like
t-force vulcan, g.skill aegis, geil evo phantom
I use to see it a fair few times, been quite a while tho
like before 2020?
ye
So guys, I wanna start building PCs as a hobby, how should I go about it?
idk when now tho
i only got into computers around january so makes sense
thx @earnest olive
Pryvet
anyone wanna critique that list i sent him before he buys it
i made some sacrifices to meet the budget but it's not too bad i think
@sharp tundra too many variables with that statement. Such as just doing PC flips
Would this fit in the NZXT H510?
https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Thicc-2025MHz-Graphics-Rx-57XT8TBD8/dp/B07ZP5QZX2/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3IT4H68IP2XFZ&dchild=1&keywords=rx+5700+xt&qid=1605051614&s=electronics&sprefix=RX+%2Caps%2C194&sr=1-4
@finite sluice I believe so yes
Ok ::D
cant do much unless used for a better list
What do you mean too many variables?
Yah^
@finite sluice it's 314.96mm long which is lower than nzxt h510 368.5mm clearance
but if you have a front mounted rad you need to consider that
^
I don't have a rad, ty for the help ::D
oh my bad the nzxt h510 is actually 381mm
google pranked me and gave me the result for h510 elite
@sharp tundra I mean like lifestyle things. Such as, can you just buy every part you want and build 200 PCs for fun
Ima be upgrading from the rtx 2060s
hm
if you have a 2060 super already i think it's worth waiting
the rx 6700 might land around that price
2060 super is not that much weaker than 5700xt
I just wanna build and sell PCs for people
if you want to just build a bunch, might want to look into PC flip business
Im gonna be using it for hackintosh
oh so you need a radeon gpu right away?
They tell me what they want, or what I recommend, and I build it, they buy it
i actually do that @sharp tundra
but that still depends on your location and the demand that's there
i live in a well-off suburb and pay for advertising though
Yes, I would ship too.
Yes
@earnest olive I looked everywhere I think if I was you and really wanted those exact fans and hated the halo I would just find the whole case on sale for 79.99 and get that lol the 3 pack of fans is 59.99 anyway
if you're shipping you won't be able to compete pricing-wise with big prebuilt companies
costs like $200 to ship an average pc across the country
Oh boi
@narrow rose i have the case already i was just curious if noise specs were available for the fans
Even if I plan on building my own shipping containers?
point
no matter what, it'll be pricy
I’m either gonna be the luckiest person in the world or be sad when the amd 6000 series comes out
be both
I get paid on the same day that the 6800xt comes out
@earnest olive oh well that I did find they are these exact fans just with white plastic but they dont sell them apart from with the case
31 dBA huh
i bought a bunch of fans to flip today that go up to 24 dBA might be worth replacing..
My now no longer friend managed to sell a cpu yesterday and he just told me
@earnest olive do you make people pay you before you build them a pc?
Or do you build it, then they pay you?
I officially hate this personne
@earnest olive yeah I saw lots of complaints about the fans while searching probably worth replacing
So I assume you have a Blackstock of pc components to accommodate fake customers?
Not necessarily fake customers but I think you know what I mean
So you're not wasting money buying pc parts for them to cancel on you.
the fans i bought go up to 1500 RPM, 26.4 dBA, 59 CFM, 1.78mmH2O
the preincluded fans are up to 2000 RPM, 31 dBA, 62 CFM, 2.14 mmH2O
not sure if worth
not all the pins on the 2600 do something so if it still works thats no so bad
@sharp tundra that's what the deposit is for
wouldnt be much of a waste cuz you still have the parts to use for dif build
if they cancel on me i build the pc anyways and sell it
so i profit if they cancel
Well yeah, but I assume the deposit isn't covering all the cost of parts
my bank account is thankfully not 0
Oh okay
lol
so yes I eat a few hundred upfront cost
but I'm not in dire need of the money so it's fine
So I shouldn't be building PCs for money you think?
I mean an ek 360mm custom loop could be a lot better lol
well
if you can't eat a few thousand dollars upfront cost for 2-3 weeks
then it'll be difficult
Well, I definitely can't do that right now
sometimes i have 4-5 simultaneous pending orders so anywhere from 2500-4000 upfront cost
Wil the 6000 series from amd be out of stock for months?
you can easily do it for money depending on location. Heck, I make 25% - 50% money from where I live
you could limit it to one order at a time if you can eat a few hundred - bit more than a thousand
kinda like the 3000 from nvidia?
but yeah where you live is definitely the most important factor to whether or not you can be successful at it
i only mark up 10% cause it's more about getting to have fun building pcs than it is about money for me
there's also local competition lol
And even if a customer canceled, how likely do you think i could sell that pc I already spent my money on
i actually charge more than some local competition but i have an impressive cover image and reviews so i still get plenty of business
depends on the budget
will take longer to flip a $2500 pc than a $500 pc
cuz of my upcharge I go min comp usually
you need to be able to eat the upfront costs to do this
Obviously
and again depends on where you live
Yeah, I imagined it would cost a bit upfront for me to start
i live in silicon valley suburbs, the average customer wants a pc for around $920
if you live in a poorer area maybe people looking for $300-400 pcs
am I a terrible person for selling a $750 CAD PC for like $1200 CAD? Yes, yes I am
fake techie for me
Cali
I live in Spokane Valley right now, high chance I might be moving soon though
there are two local guys competing with me, one of them charges $75 flat and $10 for part list, one of them is full negotiable so idk how he prices
Would the 6700 be out of stock for awhile?
i do 10%, free part list, $75 minimum for anything with a glass panel, $50 minimum for anything without
but the guy who does $75 flat doesn't have as impressive of a listing and won't talk to you unless you pay upfront
so i get business even on builds where i'd charge $1.5k lol
@weak field silicon valley is the part of cali with the big tech companies like google and apple
in the bay area
So what if I was to require customers to pay in full upfront just at the start, I wouldn't keep it that way, but just so I don't start off with a bunch of cancellations(basically forcing people to go through with the purchase)
not gonna lie you probably would get zero business
You could always do a non refundable deposit
there's a trust factor involved and if you're new that trust is not in your favor
I figured that was the answer
i'm well established and i still only do 25% deposit
Small amount but it keeps more people
Do you charge for labor?
uhh labor is the markup lol
That’s the 10% lol
Oh right

How old are you
20
id pay but true
very expensive legos
at that point it's more expensive than heading over to NZXT BLD so
🤣 it isss what isssss
i sell the equivalent of a $1500 prebuilt for around $1300-1350 but shipping can easily be >200
so yeah i only sell local
my she sent her build through ups from PA to cali for like 100
That’s what antivirus is for
@idle hawk if something falls apart i'm also liable to pay for return shipping, reassemble/RMA if it's broken, and then ship it back
just not worth opening that entire can of worms
is building a pc hard?
you
so should have confidence
but people here do that for you for free
just very expensive legos
and make sure to screw with confidence
avoid tweezers lmaooo
U can go to bestbuy
never go the verge
do i really need snippers and anything other than a screwsdricer
They have a geeksquad thing
driver
geeksquad
I have a full tower fractal design what size aio can use?
depends on the case
the only tools you need are:
P2 screwdriver for most screws including motherboard, drives, pcie brackets
P0 screwdriver for m.2 ssds if you have them
I won't be a geeksquad
"full tower fractal design" isnt a model number
pretty much every household has a P2 screwdriver but P0 screwdrivers are less common
p2 and p0
let this vid be a reminder of what not do
I don't know much about making computers, but I sure learned a lot when The Verge tried to make one. Tells you a lot about the credibility of these "tech reporters", which, in case you didn't already know, are run by Vox (which should be warning enough already). Their "how-t...
old meme
that was my guide...
@earnest olive do you also you do in-house PC maintenance and upgrades?
he had the same case so i thought itd be similiar
in-house as in i go to their house?
Cause I kinda wanted to do that too
nope
Yes
i do repairs/upgrades but i make them bring it to me
i'm not going into anyone's house
not super interested in getting stabbed
Oh okay, makes sense
i meet up in a local park that's about 3 mins from my home, broad daylight only
I figured customer convenience type of thing
Convenient access to your floppy drive
3.5” not the 5.25 am I right
upgrade costs also vary a lot based on what is being upgraded
Well yeah
tell it
Don't send me to prison okay?
If it’s that bad don’t share it
minimum $30 for simple stuff like adding a drive, adding ram, adding gpu, etc, it's not $30 worth of labor but there's still overhead for my time communicating with them and meeting up
all i can say depending on what you upgrade depends on else youll need to upgrade most parts are relative to each other
for a case + mobo upgrade i actually charge more than i do for a new build
since it's the labor of 2 builds pretty much lol
have to disassemble everything and re-do cable management
you got a recommended screwdriver or set for building a pc @earnest olive
bleach am i right?
A man is sitting at the park and a lady ask him, "Which ones yours?", the man says, "I'm still deciding."
i have the ifixit 48-bit screwdriver set but really all you need is P2 and P0
magnetic screwdriver is nice if you have
Mmm mhmm. Human trafficking nice
ehh you can upgrade a lot of things without needing to upgrade anything else
like drives, ram, case
it depends
alright i got an exam in half an hour so i'm gonna do some last minute review
good luck
if you have any questions my dms are open
Ight, later
pray for that 100
i'm feeling pretty good about this exam
wats exam on?
linear algebra 🤢
oof
is it worth it buying the 5800x ? for gaming/streaming
more specifically, vector space proofs, vector subspaces and spanning spaces, basis tests, matrix row space, column space, null space, and transition matrices
if you were in linear algebra in high school all i can say is you're a genius 😂
calculus 3 is the prerequisite here
alright i'm closing discord now goodbye
take care
..
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/RvLBj2 any suggestions for my first build?
can someone help me pc real quick on a call
can someone help me on my pc real quick on a call*
wats going on
just ask your question here
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/RvLBj2 any suggestions for my first build?
@raw mist besides your gpu not matching your mobo, looks good
i’m trying to screw fans into my pc but it seem that the screws are not going into the fan and i don’t know what to do
@raw mist besides your gpu not matching your mobo, looks good
@sharp tundra How isnt it matching my mobo?
MSI, GIGABYTE
case fans and the screws that are used with them are kinda tough to screw in
MSI, GIGABYTE
@sharp tundra they dont work together??
That too
bro its just a different brand whats so bad lmao
800 build with monitor 144hz
exactly
IT DOESNT MATCH
^^
ITS A BRAND THOOOOOOO
brands matter in this situation
any help
ok what gpu should i get then smh
YOU DONT UNDERSTAND
Nah, you just need to get a Aorus Mobo
can somebody help
yeah can you make a build for me
lmfaoooooooooo okok fine i dont see the big deal but fine
he needs an 800$ build with a 144hz
@twin lintel 1080 right?
yes
Honestly, bro, there's nothing wrong with your build, I'm just giving ya trouble
@sharp tundra haha no worries man
@twilit salmon yo what case is that?
Shoot out of stock on the freeze ii 280mm
Antec DF500 RGB
One on Newegg for liken200 though!
damn i like the curved front its sick
@polar anvil bro do u need a monitor??
Yeah I really liked it and it was one of the cheaper cases on Newegg
yeah i do
@viral ore is there a test you have to take to become a techie? Like do I have to come to believe the false truth that Aircooling is better than water cooling?
whats a good mother board no sale for under 100 dollors
@raw mist he said 144hz
for
whats a good mother board no sale for under 100 dollors
@jade dock asrock b450m pro4
thanks
@sharp tundra idk man, ive been here for nearly a year, and mike randomly DMed me and asked if i wanted to be techie, so i said sure
Oh
@raw mist he said 144hz
@idle hawk yeah idk if he has a 144hz monitor already or he needs a monitor included with the build
ahh ok
Phew thank god
how do u become a regular
my brain is fried atm
sheesh
By being here regularly
theres a 1080p 144hz monitor thats like 140 usd
ojk
@idle hawk lmaoooo
OHHHHH joe
whats up
its oos on amazon, it might be available on ebay tho
i say my head is fried cause i had like 20 ppl asking for the series x
i sold the xbox series x for 800 and i only wanted 650
even the fedex guy wanted to buy it off me
https://www.amazon.com/GFV22CB-Ultra-Compact-G-Sync-Compatible-FreeSync-Zero-Tolerance/dp/B082DNTXJ6
this monitor typically goes for 129, its oos sadly
So joker, when are you getting me my 3080?
when you giving the money for it
😳robbed
I have $7 for you
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/md9LsX can someone review the list i made for mike?
i had a FE in the cart already
So do we gotta deal?
800$ best you can get
add more zeros nomad
he said 800 bucks
and im not a scalper
Dang
best you can get for 800$
if i buy it ima sell at a decent price
unless theres a used 5600xt
and with the monitor included, its 750 if my math is correct
What if, I sold you my whole system for a 3080?
wait no
no lol
650
yeah
waiting fro black friday tho
I wouldn't have anything to put it in anyways lol
ahhh black friday
30series is definitely not going on sale for black friday
frick lemme jus search up the mean percentage of discounts overall
but other graphics card will
black friday will be a desert
what so good about that
i heard amd drivers are bad
ok so in electronics, the average percentage is about 35-40%
true?
It compares to a 2060 for about $200 less
amd drivers got fixed for 5000 series cards iiirc
35-40% off
yeah
oh dang
anything?
@polar anvil so do u need a monitor or nah? im almost done the build.
amd had bad drivers. they are no longer bad tho
^^
black friday will be bad for newegg
yeah i do
does new egg have sales already
amazon better have good deals
their 3080 release was worse then black friday
lmao
where i live im glad that ppl don't bunch of on black friday, even tho its a big city
yeah i do
@polar anvil k thats gonna have to be outside the 800 dollar budget as im at like 850 rn haha
what about online black friday
cyber monday?
yeah i can push budget to 850
do you wanna see a war on cyber monday @balmy patio
oh cyber monday is for online
@polar anvil also bro do u need rgb and stufd?
nah
performance>looks
yeah i wanna see a war
Hey, US is about to have another one of those.
whats a good prosscer for a $600 budget
just put a fake post of a 3080 on ebay lmaooo jk
@polar anvil also bro u may not get 144hz on maxed out settings, but if u bring the settings down a tiny bit ull get it
@sharp tundra lmao
so if my math is correct which i doubt it is, 40% off of 2k is 800
Joker, send me pics of your 3080 box
yeah i trya to play fortnite on competevie setting so pretty much all low setttings
yeah i trya to play fortnite on competevie setting so pretty much all low setttings
@polar anvil oh fortnite? is that the main game cus then i can scrap the gpu and save a lot of money for u
i play call of duty too
lmaooo
ahhh
it would work
I got COD with my 3080 today and I have no clue if I will ever even install it.
yea warzone is fire tho\
some men just like to watch the world burn '
PLEASE JOKER
okay well yeah imma downgrade the gpu cus on a 1660super ull get 150 fps on low settings
Send me pics
lmaoooo
I wanna troll everyone
im not responsible for anything
No names will be spoken of
ok jus to reference, @raw mist are we talking about Mike's list?
ok jus to reference, @raw mist are we talking about Mike's list?
@balmy patio yeah why
oh ok
Soo?
so he said he wanted to wait till black friday, the deals are normally 40% off, so in the end, he's prolly gonna get a pc at a 2k budget and only pay 800-900 dollar, which is what he is willing to spend iirc
no nomad ur getting in trouble
which do you recommend
flat i guess
ok then
Ur no fun
haha
i like to have a small curve
like look left and right
makes me feel more inmersive into what im doing, if that's the correct word
true
curves are always nice :3
i mean a curved 27in aint that bad
many curves
i think for racing games curved moniters give u a better feel
lmaoooo
i heard build a pc is not hard just the cable management
wink wink nudge nudge
Someone build me a pc, my budget is $10k
yea cable manege ment is hard asf
cable management is easy if you keep track of the cables... which is hard
get 2 titans rtx 1 3090 amd threadripper 4th gen 128gb of ram 5tb ssd some good motherboard that fits the amd thread ripper
no
and u prolly have money for a 360hz moniter
850w power supply ok for a 3090
i cant wait for my case tomorrow
i forgot about the 3090
it depends what you have @lunar thorn
Ryzan 7 3600
im kinda nervous for tomorrow
Would 1000w be better for a 3090
@raw mist
the new case is coming tomorrow
send a pic of case
ok i know this might be asking a lot but a friend want's a starter pc for a budget of 500-600 it may be asking a lot but he's new to building as am i
@lunar thorn im sure it'll be fine paired up with a 3600
i got the same one today 😄
@fast smelt i think i made a list with that budget earlier today when i was bored
@balmy patio would it be better just to get a 1000w ?
@neat mortar not all graphics cards fans spin at idle
@balmy patio would it be better just to get a 1000w ?
@lunar thorn if you're looking to upgrade in the future, possibly
ok im looking for it @balmy patio thanks
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GhvFgt @polar anvil ok imma keep it real with u, i dont know much about the monitors, so u might wanna do sum research in that department, also same with the gpu, the 5700xt is great, but idk about the model i just picked the one with good reviews on pcpartpicker. alos @balmy patio lmk what u think
i dont think he'll need a tomahawk
lemme jus work on the 500-600 list and ill come back to you
Reason: Bad word usage
whoops
its so hard to budget with this pandemic its crazy
@fast smelt what will your friend be using the computer for?
i meant to put the b550a pro mb @balmy patio
opposite
of what
micro center has cheaper things but for some ppl, like me, its not worth it since they might live far from them
i meant to put the b550a pro mb @balmy patio
@raw mist fair enough
np 🙂
@balmy patio average everday gaming like minecraft, Streaming videos/movies, and schoolwork no overclocking is what he told me
nearest micro center is 30 mins
I have a full tower fractal design case what size can I put in
ahhh, will he be confortable using an igpu then?
Is 280mm a good size
vega 11 isnt that bad on the 3200g
possibly
will using an nvidia GPU let me use my freesync monitor to stabilize my screen from things like screen tearing?
Whats the 2nd best option aio beside the froze ii sine there is no stock atm
So....um...why is the 240hz msi optix $300 cheaper than the 165hz version?
LMFAO
Both are 1920x1080 VA and 1ms
Lul
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MZHjZZ @fast smelt
thank you he will apprieciate this a lot
wait no
hm?
i dont think b550 supports 3400g
@balmy patio u dont need a b550
idky i put that
yeah i just noticed that i was like a b550?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BMmjZZ there its fixed
yeah?
his budget is 500
bios update
im pretty sure it comes with a bios update at this point in time
unless you somehow end up with an old one
ill see
wait nvm thats bad
yeah true but he really don't need it to run light
wait change the psu @balmy patio
to the one in my cart
Its $1 more
600w
@balmy patio
bruhh i gtg to soccer practice, ill see yall later
i got it is there anything else i should tell him before i send the link
ask him if it fits his needs
@fast smelt dont send it yet
it does fit his needs he said he was fine with the igpu and it looked all good
ok
it comes with two more fans than the other
yep it does
@fast smelt is he going to be gaming?
not heavily
just occasional basic games like minecraft
gl
dont have to
^
@weak field whats ur specs
for some reason, whenever I go to the power supply option in the newegg pc builder, it says "We’re sorry, there are no items that match your selections. Please adjust your selections to try again."
@weak field what u getting?
send you the list in a sec
I mean I figure it's because I've selected something that's incompatible or something, but I don't know what it would be
@cyan hedge send me ur pcpp
@whole harbor https://newegg.io/a6435424
for modern warefare should i get intel or amd
oh wait did I send the wrong thing
@cyan hedge that isnt a pcpp loll
Can't decide between vertical gpu or horizontal. If I go vertical I have to go with AIO. If I go vertical I won't be able to see the rgb ram.
vertical screwing you either way?
I'm having an issue with one of my nvme ssd's
One of them won't stay all the way down and it's sending a fault code thru my desktop when it tries to boot up
But it would be really nice to see the face of the gpu for once
It's a really hard call for me
@little osprey try #storage-devices
I assume, but do not know for a fact, that "flat" or "fans down" will work better for RTX 30s.
But that might also depend a lot on the case.
Hey r2-d2 you typing a book?
@little osprey For gpu temps? Minimal difference. It's just that if I mount gpu vertical I pretty much have no other choice but to go AIO for the cpu. There's really no air cooler on the market under 76mm that can effectively cool a 105 TDP chip comfortably. Sticking a liquid cooler in a $4000 system gives me too much anxiety.
True
if I went vertical with my incoming founders card anyway, it would be blowing exhaust air directly onto my NVMEs, which I am not wild about.
I already have an AIO, so the exhaust will vent out the back before it ever gets to the top-mounted radiator. In theory.
But looks wise I think I'd rather have it vertical, just so I can look at it lovingly.
I would go vertical, but not enough room
Man building mid towers is like a walk in the park. As soon you hit ITX it's like a massive puzzle of compatibility and battle for aesthetics.
Think I'm just gonna go horizontal. I imagine I won't be spending much time looking at my own PC when I'm pushing about 100 frames in 4k.
it this any good. I am still looking for a power supply in budget: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7dCPXb
wbi!
@vivid shuttle what's with that case
?
it's a poggers case
that psu better than a seasonic one
oh bet
imma have to cop me one too
Is the evga psu good looking for a 1000w one
why does everyone need a 1kw psu now
@lunar thorn again
because if you want a toaster and a pc you need more watt
you need less than 850w
people need to use a power calculators
agreed
not everyone lives in the us having the stores available tho or the specific parts
it goes to your region you know this?
where
better learn compatibility than wait for an automated system...i mena it doesnt take much
greece
and not to forget the bios issue c:
i mean i havent used the site much
so idk what its capable of
we ave local vendors and i prefer receiving it from the store point rather than having it shipped. idk what changes in the cost. but i would guess that shipment bring it to equally whatit costs here
lemme give it a try
it doesnt ship for free to us
I like the LCD monitor
air cooling is fine?
where will you buy the 3070?
you can spend that money to get a 3080 instead of a 3070
yep
Hmmm
we're just going down the list one item at a time xD
Yea why that mobo
it hasn't been at MSRP for ages
mm
it's decent when it is at msrp
asus mobo good rgb icue
but cost
where will you buy the 3070?
@solid verge no idea
don't match
mk
So, why that mobo.
cpu and gpu dont have a vendor so you need to check the cost just saying
what do you guys think
So, why that mobo.
You mean my motherboard?
Yes.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Prime-Kaos/saved/ had to save the new AMD GPU as a custom part as its not out yet
@tame hazel you know Noctua makes 200mm fans right
I heard it can give enough juice to the cpu
wait ur saying its actually 150MM?
I see
pretty sure this is the standard 140mm mounting holes
i havent had any experience but i have read countless negative interactions
what you think of this , this is what the case supports Front: 3 x 120mm, 2 x 140mm, 2 x 200mm
Top:
8 x 120mm, 6 x 140mm, 2 x 200mm
Rear:
2 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm
Bottom:
3 x 120mm
Left / Right Side:
4 x 120mm, 3 x 140mm
front 2x200mm, top use 8x120mm, rear use 2x140mm, left use 4x120mm, bottom 3x120mm
if you want to fill those
including monitor
Oh wow
what fan should I be using @stoic island ?
Thanks Antago
Good evening
what do you think of the rest of the build @stoic island ?
aio overpriced
for not the greatest performance
Freezer ii 280mm beats that 360mm aio iirc
@tame hazel that ram
makes
no
sense
it's wide
it's expensive
it's low freq
why
why why why
RGB? lol
whats the best ram?
wait for SN850
Me...
yea take this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dC43y4
SN850 will perform better than 980 pro
what is up with this compatibility note: The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.
is that going to be an issue
good tips thanks!
hi comrade
okay gotcha, here's the full thing
eh too lazy to edit rn
that's okay, no worries
basically once you slap the SSD in, you can't use one of the (I think) 6 SATA ports
the rest will still be usable
okay awesome
thank you for helping me understand it
I'm a little out of my comfort zone. I built my own PC back in 2017, but I had help from Microcenter to make sure everything would work together well. And now I'm building a pc for my dad
nice
Experience is the best way to learn
rate my build 🙂 ryzen 5-2600x, rtx 2060,16gb corsair rgb 3000 mhz ram, 1tb crucial ssd. b450 steel legend RGB!! mobo

@stoic island best ram?
LMAO-
32GB of ram f or around $220
prob Trident z neo 2x16gb 3600c16
@tame hazel that’s why you should be specific
should be around ~180$
ok
Screw it. Going AIO. God this has been a real back and forth.
okay gotcha, here's the full thing
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ysVPXb
@cyan hedge you don’t need the license there
You can get a legit one for 2$ on eBay
Means I'll be able to install full sized 120 RGB fans in the bottom of the case.
Woah
No need getting scammed out of 100!
Cool thank you : )
@cyan hedge are you gonna be using discs?
Can't believe I'm gonna spend over 4k on a PC
Like with the optical drive?
Yea
Not often but yeah
Cause usually people don’t need/use optical drives
@cyan hedge Samsung 970 is overpriced you can get a cheaper nvme that’s also 1tb
I also suggest getting an amd cpu instead of intel
@stoic island what motherboard would you go with for my build?
yeah AMD is dominating the CPU and GPU market now
what do you think of the MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE over priced?
good thing you didn't gave into vengeance rgb
i think those look dumb
not as good looking as trident
and also too big for velka 3 im p sure
lol
So cooler master says the bottom of the NR200P supports up to a 240 radiator but should only be used for custom loops. Does anyone have any idea why this is?
Kinda odd that they don't note the specific reason why that's reserved for custom loops.
@pliant escarp complex answer
A lot of PC builds online (including manufacturer photos & NR200P builds) incorrectly mount AIO liquid coolers, leading to pump noise/whine and early cooler failure.

simple answer : Not good for AIOs
Reason: Bad word usage
bruh
Since AIO pumps are on the CPU block, and pump being above rad = air bubbles in pump
and pump does not like having air bubble
nice
