why do you ask >:D
@lyric thistle I was talking about guaranteed 5th gen support on a520
Ah ok
since b450 will be spotty with support
@fallen harbor how's this looking
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/H2rVcT
psu from older system ?
what should i spend the remaining 400 on?
1tb fills up really quick, i rec a 2tb compute
true i do alot of coding i might get a 2 tb and a 1
i do but i want to be on the safe side
(there's another 500cad in your budget for whatever lel)
model o maybe
any monitor rec?
want 1080p or 1440p
prob 1080 cause 1440p is prob a bit much
u will barely notice a diff in 1080p to 1440p anyways
normie
Ok
would a 650w work?
why wouldn't it
650 is more than enough
So I'm currently running a Red Devil rx 590. Screens are 1080p. Im thinking red devil 5700 would be a solid uplift, since newer games (Baldurs gate 3) are starting to tax the card. And since I'm still running 1080 the 6xxx and 3xxxx cards seem quite overkill
It seems sorta low for the 3070
a 500 would be a bit low tbh
i could bump it to 750 but not like im running the new marvel game at max settings
yeah
Hoping a price drop near Christmas. ๐คฃ๐คฃ
i guess
used 2080ti < 500 has entered the chat ๐
how is the 5700xt holdin up to the 3070
demolished
yeah i was about to ask about amd
figured
still enough for 1080p
that's mah boi! ๐
meh, they might be in the AMD ecosystem already, they might want AMD for features they were already using
mr is there a pink case i could swap to
darn
i love it. going from a 17" 1280x1024 to that was amazing
I do love a td500 mesh
you can just make it glow pink
i was going to get all pink stuff so it looks cool on stream
yo
Howdy Ho.....
pfft
Pimk ๐
that's kinda fire tho
@little osprey It's a fulltower so can be cooled easy
i should get the hybrid theory funko pop to go in mine
the mouse im getting for my setup
I've owned two of those NZXT full towers
model o is neat
GMMK "White Ice" Edition looks amazing migt get the pink model 0 with it
i saw ill be adding that to the budget i got like 50$ after also adding the mouse and keyboard
new headphones or mic which should i go for
modmic
my old snow ball is broke so i could go for a new one
You can set an item as purchased in pc part picker
@lyric thistle
yeah I did , he just didn't notice
get a headset >:D
Ah ok
because this is the only really good thing I know
120usd
a modmic is like 190 lmao
no modmic
built in mic
see if drop ships to you
pc37x quite good
I'll paste you the z reviews review if you want
Razer Kraken Kitty RGB USB Gaming Headset: THX 7.1 Spatial Surround Sound - Chroma RGB Lighting - Retractable Active Noise Cancelling Mic - Lightweight Aluminum Frame - for PC - Quartz Pink: Amazon.ca: Computers & Tablets

is it worth
putting the extra money for the ears
it's actually good
@fallen harbor because of the kids I wish that headset never existed
lol i just tried to post a newegg link on here, and i got warned by the newegg server that i tried posting a link that wasnt allowed on here lmfao but anywho, modmic is not 160 lol its $70-$100
the pc37x prob will be what im getting tho
@fallen harbor I have four girls on gaming pc, that's $600 usd
lol
yeah
I want one for my rift s
headphones don't have mic
@winter marsh whats 600 usd?
headset does
nice
154 usd locally when on sale'
weird idk why its showing you those prices, they are listed at $70 and $100 canadian for me, but yeah i guess if you wanna budget then thats not really the goto
@fallen harbor they talking about themselves
because gara wants 4 of the kraken headsets
yeah no those headsets if i get one id be keeping it in a case behind me on stream i wouldnt even use the thing it would be like a relic from the gods
@stoic island by any chance do you have a 600 dollar part list already made?
one sec
you could just swap the gpu on my list and it would be around tha tmuch or make the cpu a intergraded
ty
@fallen harbor never iGPU at any budget above like 500$ smh
true they could always got for like a 570 or a 580 for the cost
what is the 580 at now adays anyways
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WLdmkX
@stoic island i reckon we can fit a 2060 in that ;-;
hm?
I don't think so
1660 super maybe
I'm too lazy
that's a list from yesterday
issnt the 2060 like 300$ usd
Yes
ik the the 1660 oc edition i got for like 490 cad
it was from the local pc store and than my pc fried wheni got home so i gave the gpu to a friend
lol
Reason: Bad word usage
woops
Naughty ๐
I think it's a bot
still it will show up as a thing in mod chat prob
begging robots for mercy never works, I've seen that movie ๐
lol
smh
i was thinking about ryzen 5 3600
Hm
Yeah
I'd prob get a GPU upgrade first
Gtx is a gpu
its a 1070 8gb
What resolution
why would i upgrade that
1080p?
Man you need upgrade
Yes
because you'll get more gaming performance out of a GPU upgrade than a CPU upgrade.
my old pc needed a upgrade before i ruined it
Yeah
lol
as long as you have decent enough dual channel ram
what Mr1111 said
mr you would hate to hear my old pc
i have 8gb x2
but on my motherboard there are only 2 slots
Mhm
What is your budget
Z390/Z370 or no
I'm saying
Yeah
You'll be fine to stay on the CPU.
Are you using this to game or for school or something
then wait
gaming
for Zen 3
Ok
5600x+b550 at least.
yeah but i saw that gtx 1070 is only 3% slower than 1660ti
and i recently got this gpu as a new one for 180$
the 1070
so i dont want to upgrade that
for the 1070?
Guys I need to build a new pc and my budget is of 1300 dollar and I want to ask should I go for intel or amd but I want an rtx seres GPU
i had rtx 580 8gb and i didnt like it
Than 3080
the drivers were terrible
meh
@small osprey I'd wait for their reviews
rn I'm still going to suggest Nvidia
Well yes wait
No there is availability issue and if I import it from U.S it will be very costly
mr u need new ram when switching to amd mobos?
Here's the thing
Yea
Amd can use faster rams
and Ryzen likes good ram :P
Like 3600mhz cl16
i have 3200mhz 8x2 cl16
^^
rn
oh ok
3200c16 works in budget builds
but when it fits in the budget
go 3600c16
decent perf bump
and then upgrade
ok
3200cl16 isnt bad
@molten egret what region, what retailers, what currency, and for doing what?
Its just u could do better
I live in india and my currency is INR
oh fun
And for gaming and streaming
Yep but if there are minor tweaks in prise I will manage
hey mr, i would have to put good coolers on the cpu if i would want to boost the cpu right
whats happening?
hey mr, i would have to put good coolers on the cpu if i would want to boost the cpu right
@MzZ.#9999 yes
@little osprey you can go for water cooler
Why
Water cooling
Yes
a bit over, take a look at this @molten egret
https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/3dgJfP
And less reliable imo
3070 pricing is taken from regional listed 3070 MSRP
@stoic island Yes wait a sec
that's a great build mr111
(here's where I got the figure for the 3070 price)
im guessing the storage will be upgraded down the road?
500gb ssd is my go-to thing for any list because it will last you a few months, enough time to choose to get another SSD or get a HDD with it.
is nvmi much better than regular ssd?
Straight up speed wise much better
in games u wont notice much of a diff
i have a regular kingston 480gb ssd is it good?
which model
most important thing for a SSD is dram
speed is only secondary imo
I'd get a 500/500 SATA SSD with dram than a 3000/3000 NVMe SSD without dram
The build is very nice but there is festival going on and my birthday this month ๐ but I don't think so the rtx 3000 series will reach india until 2021 march
thought DRAM mattered more to SATA then NVME?
๐ญ
@vague maple matters to both basically the same
The build is very nice but there is festival going on and my birthday this month ๐ but I don't think so the rtx 3000 series will reach india until 2021 march
@molten egret most likely not that late bro
january, it'll probably be available
no i know it matters to both
but i thought it matters MORE to sata than nvme
@stoic island you can get a crucial p1 1 tb for 8500 inr
I think it matters more for NVMe
oh ok
think i read somewhere it matters more for SATA
but the larger the drive, the more it theoretically affected
@molten egret alright, try something like this then
https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/KzGcTJ
@stoic island thanks a lot but I still had a question that in Amazon the rtx 2060 mini is prise for around 24000 INR but if I take rtx mini will there be different in game performance
RTX 2070 super is much better than RTX 2060
The one that is in the list is a RTX 2070 super.
just because of the performanc leap
@vague maple I doubt they'll have stock going overseas this month lel
@vague maple bro this is india if some one can delay ps5 launch by putting trademarks before sony anything can happen here
so you'd have to settle with a 2070s
bro
i live in pakistan
if you indians think you have it bad
trust us, you dont lmao
we dont have a single global retailer here ffs
wheeee I live in the US and I say go with it
we going to get into the four yorkshiremen? ๐
no amazon, no walmart, no ebay, no tesco, no costco, no best buy
nothing
JUST NOTHING
iz enough ranting
@vague maple Yes bro I know the things going on in Pakistan it is doubled the prise of India I have a friend living there
@vague maple bro same here no pc or component buying big shop
Yes
we have these small ass stores that sell pc parts
but they all are super outdated or dont sell new stuff or overprice it wayyy too much
sounds rough
Yes this is bad
mhmm
So I think waiting will get mee sweet 3070 power
yeee boi
And I want to know that the 750 wate power supply will be enough for 3070
This is my 2nd build
Gpu: msi gtx 1660 ti
Cpu: ryzen 5 3600
Ram: 32gb 3200
Storage: 500gb samsung ssd, 2tb seagate hdd
Psu: cx750f
Motherboard: asus b450m-a
Case: 4000x
@drowsy grotto
Why would you use 32 gb of ram and not upgrade your GPU with your saved money
@drowsy grotto budget ?
And I want to know that the 750 wate power supply will be enough for 3070
@molten egret yes
easily
got 16gb for free
also that coolermaster is bad
and already had 16
are they different kits
If you are thinking about upgrading your GPU right now, I would wait.
that costs the same
they're all 8gbs at 3200
different model ?
are they same company
u didnt answer the question
what type of ram?
no need for 3 people to help him
what type of ram?
are you a troll what do you mean what type
because you cant slot 2 different pairs
if they have different timings ur computer might not even boot
let @little osprey help him
wdym by type
@molten egret easily, a 550w will handle a 3070 fine, even a 450w if you want to stretch it
wdym by type
@heavy bison he probably means manufacturer
@molten egret easily, a 550w will handle a 3070 fine, even a 450w if you want to stretch it
that's a lie
doesnt it run like 330 watts stock
What part of it
you need a higher psu wattage than specified
no
lmao
And it is higher than specified
ash that's so wrong
their total system power draw is ~400w
really because I thought they were power hogs
no
interesting
220w tdp on the 3070
what about their power spikes though mr111
220 or 250, forgot exacts
iirc the recommended psu wattage they read was from a high end system with a 3070
remember
@stoic island ok thanks
if I win a 3090 but I use a laptop what do I do
power spikes are still going to be within the psu wattage
so you cant be sure because the "recommendations" that they released was with high end part
so it will all depend on ur other components
and also remember
Ash, You build a Desktop
if I win a 3090 but I use a laptop what do I do
@heavy bison buy the other components to build a pc
I have 1k budget
10% overload on any decent PSUs is fine
what do I do then
1k budget without a gpu?
20% overload on a good one
you can go to town
what about their overvoltage protection though @stoic island
*3090
or whatever it's called
what do I do
ill build you a parts list
with a 1k budget
that is true
@vague maple and that's why I said any decent GPU
I'm just making a scenario
yeah but its fun building parts list smh
and it wouldn't be OVP that trips
ok
it's usually OCP on higher transient response iirc
still wouldnt stick a 3070 and a 450 watt psu in a system imo
i would constantly be stressing about overloading the psu
yea 450w was stretching it
and 750w is pretty much lost wattage if im not ocing or anything
ash if you do win that 3090 you can just save up for a relatively cheap build and transfer your hard drive into your new tower
Hopefully the Big Navi cards are going to be power efficient.
but it's theoretically doable, I definitely wouldn't suggest it though.
yeah
I'm hoping the 6800XT to be in the range of like, 250 to 300w
assuming your laptops hard drive is an m.2
im talking about ashes laptop
like an m.2 ssd
hard drives
๐คฆ
why not?
You can't have an M.2 Hard Drive.
and laptop storage devices and desktop storage devices arent interchangeable
you know what i mean
no i frankly dont
you cant just take out a m.2 ssd from your laptop and put it in your pc and expect it to work
it wont
really?
ANY storage wouldn't work
you cant just take out a m.2 ssd from your laptop and put it in your pc and expect it to work
read this
carefully
because of motherboard interferences or whatever?
key.
they are keyed
oh
Actually Rn... A M.2 from a Laptop will 100% work in a Desktop.
mobo laptops have a diff connector than ones in desktops
@versed rock unless it's weird
No they don't.
like key e ssd
well it depends on what mobo u have
because they exist
or like mSATA
there are some ssds that do work
Ok, if it's an E.Key SSD then throw your laptop in the dumpster.
it works most of the time
but majority do not
but not all the time
i know apple has a proprietary connector for m.2 ssd
Well, that's Apple
@versed rock I mean there are uses for like key e 1120mm or whatever for really small spaces
^
apple kinda sucky
You bought an apple, so you deserve to not only throw the laptop in the dumpster, but yourself along with it.
or no
if it's SATA
You can for the most part.
i mean if you cant physically move the drive, then you can always just do a system partition copy over to an external hard drive
not a sata drive
a 3.5 inch rpm hard drive or whatever its called
hard drives use sata connectors
sata data and sata power
๐คฆ
bruh.
oouhh
Also
SATA is only the protocol
there are USB hard drives too
and the cable
oh i see
but sata hard drives tend to be better
i'm talking about the form factor than
USB Hard Drives are just SATA Drives in an enclosure.
Yes...
i see
99.9999999% of Consumer Hard Drives are SATA Drives.
Don't confuse this poor man with IDE and SAS drives...
99% are SATA
goddamn these acronyms always confuse the hell out of me
heh
He's already confused.
im still using an hdd for my OS drive
@vague maple if you're dealing with anything from the last decade
99.9% chance it's SATA
yeah i was talking about the old drives
IDE is the most relevant old standard.
isnt that a software?
integrated development environment something?
Yes, but that's for programming
acronyms can stand for different things
oh are you talking about an IDE drive
just look at context
You can also refer to them as PATA drives.
or PITA drives >:D
an ide is one of those old drive ports, right?
it's an interface
ah ok
@little osprey watch a build guide or just read the manual
what u tagging me for
u were asking question about hard drives
just read the manual
or
a build guide
no
Reason: Bad word usage
.
?
i wasnt asking questions abt hard drives
wtf
ur gucci
kk
Haha whatโs so bad about it
I saw something about how it needs to be put in a MSI board to perform well?
ripjaws ram sticks are pretty good
crashed stuff unless it was on 2133mhz
One day I'm gonna post a video of me snapping these in half
Lmao
that's only half a joke
the ram is just
useless
the drive is dramless, slow asf now, I'd only use it for storage
might have fun breaking the ram sticks >:D
I was thinking to getting it because of was 30 bucks cheaper than the vengeance lpx
And Iโd get it 3 days faster
But I guess rather get the Corsair kit now
Thanks for the advice
I'd get G.skill personally
but Corsair is fine
It's just Corsair is infuriating with their heatsink design on vengeance rgb....
rip
can it be found on pc part picker?
32gb ram sticks from Corsair are super expensive
Way more expensive than g skill for some reason
because corsair is a name brand for components i believe, so generally they make things more expensive
Corsar doesnt have the tightest CL timings which are important for Ryzen
I'm honestly not a big fan of Corsair.
for rad compatibility
Iโm not gonna pay extra for Corsairs rgb lol
iCUE just kinda sucks.
True
Their fans are expensive for what
And their hardware is meh at best.
i only have a corsair tower case
Exactly
there's like 3 guys so far that's gotten a td500 mesh, arctic freezer ii, then corsair vengeance rgb, and came at me telling me td500 mesh doesn't support top rad
G skill makes great ram
when the issue is corsair making their ram heatsink too wide
:P
Corsiar cases are nice, but the other sh*t is *ss
No
hm?
It's been proven by like 5 different people that Front Rad is ideal.
You wonโt even really notice the difference
Hell, Gamer's Nexus did a piece on how Top Rad kills AIOs faster.
But top rad is still good
Like water cooling and air has almost no difference
hm?
No real world difference
@versed rock The video told you how top rads didn't have to deal with that issue lol
because the tubes and the end are at equal level
Sure maybe a few degrees lower but whatever
I know front rad is better for pulling fresh air and all
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbGomv195sk This is the video
A lot of PC builds online (including manufacturer photos & NR200P builds) incorrectly mount AIO liquid coolers, leading to pump noise/whine and early cooler failure.
Sponsor: Buy Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on Amazon (https://geni.us/1D8Eeq) or Hydronaut paste (https://geni.u...
Yes
Oh
watch it again
@little osprey If you have transient workloads water cooling is better
Transient?
It takes much longer to reach steady state temperature
when tubes are above the pump (top mount), and parallel (because top mount), no issues
So if your load is changing, itโs good for that
it's the least easy to screw up
Which is real world
Eh
Yeah, but it's difficult to get a top-mount because well...
The Motherboard is always too dang close to the top of the case.
Itโs not like youโre going to thermal throttle if you donโt get aio
I got an aio just for looks and most people do too
hm?
@versed rock yea but I still like it
I agree front rad is optimal, but top rad still pretty dang good
and the mobo being close to top of case is why corsair wide boi ram doesn't allow you to slap in rad
confused
im just using amd's stock cooler for my cpu๐ญ
hey, fair is fair
radiators are too much for me
it's a good cpu for stock operation
Well, even my P400A Digital in all it's glory can't mount a Top Rad.
but man, does the stealth suck at cooling
Well, it can
mine can get kind of loud at times
If people would make a bigger buffer at the top of their dang cases...
Yeah, all Wraith coolers can get loud.
That's why I replaced mine.
and it defaults to minimum 70% fan power in the power settings
I have Open Backed Headphones
oof
true
Closed Backs are just meh, and IEMs hurt after awhile of being jammed in your ear.
i use a g933 as a headset, its comfortable and i can use it for vr
๐คฎ
but also pc38x
I honestly have no legitimate clue if the PC38X's are worth it over the PC37X's
they are, i think
I honestly don't think so.
uh
their website
and dmitri's video on it
can also go look at other videos, i guess
What motherboard do you guys think is best for the price it's asking for? I heard the B450 Tomahawk is damn good as a bang for buck mobo
I say go b550 in this day and age
I wouldn't buy a B450 Tomahawk when B550 exists now.
yep
Fair enough
Anyone recommend a good liquid cooler? Under 150 usd
@versed rock I've been told pc38x worth over pc37x
Air Cooler Good
are you sure you need water cooling?
i have a b450m motar max
I already have a pair of PC37X's
okay, then it's probably not worth the upgrade lol
Best air cooler?
It's expensive, and un-needed in like 99.99% of builds.
What CPU are you trying to cool?
3700
Stock Air cooler.
ayy good cpu
stock will do you fine if you don't do overclocking
Ok thanks guys much appreciated
Eh, I'd go Scythe Mugen 5 for a 3700X
Maybe it can hold up to a bit of ocing?
I do not plan on doing overclocking
i'm not sure on that
Gammaxx 400 is a bit... underpriced
IMO
I wouldn't use a 20 dollar cooler on a 8c16t CPU
but it does cool good
Check this out on @Newegg: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU Air Cooler, Silencio FP120 Fan, 4 CDC 2.0 Heatpipes, Anodized Gun-Metal Black, Brushed Nickel Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151 https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-hyper-212-black-edition-rr-212s-20pk-r1/p/N82E16835103278?Item=N82E16835103278&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-35-103-278-_-11032020
Ii like this air cooler if i dont go with stock
Opinions?
eh
hi antago
he tries to cool the 3700

AYY
Sorry, I don't like puking tan and brown.
you can't beat it's cooling and silence though
Scythe is basically Noctua, except not tan and brown.
Ok ima be that guy i dont like the look of that cooler
@versed rock sorry you have to put up with bad PC parts.
also fyi noctua has black coolers
:)
For more money.
not a crazy ton more
Opinions on corsair air coolers?
@uncut pelican decent
@arctic jungle which one would u recommend
Literally the most dumpster garbage air cooler to come out in the last 10 years.
Antago you are literally insane
@versed rock says you, "noctua trash"
There r too many mixed opinions
lmao
@arctic jungle which one would u recommend
@uncut pelican I'm not sure which ones are in stock rn, bc they cut down on production
i say just stick with the stock cooler
yea honestly?
Just buy the Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B and remove the scythe sticker on the fan
the stock cooler is rlly good
if you feel like your cpu temps are high then consider an aftermarket one

It's not like you are going to look at it all the time.
@versed rock stop giving bad advice
Let me rewatch a video real quick, I'll give you an honest answer
I'm not.
lol i gave my pitch
Noctua is only "bad" because they up-charge people for a reasonably colored product.
It's not like you are going to look at it all the time.
@versed rock then what's wrong with noctua
stock
Because Noctua is overpriced.
Noctua is great, overpriced I agree.
The Scythe Mugen 5 is literally an NH-U12S with a cheaper pricetag, and a different fan
It even comes with a longboi screwdriver for installation
it's worth 40$
Does Noctua provide you with a screwdriver?
everything else is just overpriced
yea
longboi on all of the tower heatsinks afaik
@uncut pelican sry abt his bad advice... if you really care about performance, you should get a noctua cooler. true, it may not me black if you want to pay a 3 or 4 less dollars, but they're good. leading brand in air cooling
Really? Huh, I thought they didn't.
by his I mean @versed rock
well I got one with d15
Antago, you are telling this guy to pay more money for LITERALLY THE SAME COOLER.
@versed rock imo, anything that's not a nh-u12s is worth it
noctua makes nice coolers, and they look p good in any system
^^
good warranty
Thoughts on this build? Was going for a super cheap but powerful machine (based around the RX 480 that I had)
CPU: Ryzen 3 3100
MOBO: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
RAM: 16GB Crucial 2400
PSU: EVGA 100-BR-0500-K1 500
GPU: RX 480 (Extra Laying Around)
SSD: Sandisk 512GB (Extra Laying Around)
SSD: Intel P3608 800GB PCI SSD (Extra Laying Around)
Case: Thermaltake Versa H17
great fan durrability
even without it
etc etc
why is that 2400 on ram?
I'm not saying muge 5 rev b is bad
Look at that.
@high flame budget, use, and country pls
oh, 2400 but that's still terrible
U12s is just horribly priced
case is fine, which is nice
imo mugen 5 is actually in an awkard pricepoint
@versed rock and 1c is the difference between D15 and aios in GN testing :)
anyways
you can trust tech jesus on that
Within .75 of a degree from the D15!
This chat is going fast. But for the guy looking for an air cooler, check the deepcool assassin 3 if you don't want noctua
Look at the charts!
I'd get Fuma 2
stick with stock?
Screw Noctua at this point, they are overpriced AF
because Fuma 2 beats d15 depending on the testing afaik
you won't even be overclocking
@little osprey Use - Gaming/Word/Youtube, Country - USA, Budget - Don't really have one, maybe sub $500 but trying to get the most out of the RX480
Again steady state temperature here
and Ninja 5 only falls slightly behind, mostly due to lower rpm fans
there's basically no point in getting an aftermarket one if you're running stock speeds
@little osprey Use - Gaming/Word/Youtube, Country - USA, Budget - Don't really have one, maybe sub $500 but trying to get the most out of the RX480
@high flame u have a gpu already ?
500 dollar budget then
That's the Mugen 5 with a single fan, running full blast, punching with the big bois
@versed rock do keep in mind they do fans full blast for some of the testing
noise normalized is more interesting
Well, I don't think I can find Noise Normalized for the Mugen 5.
Thatโs the advantage of noctua
Itโs not the cooling, itโs the noise
@little osprey Yep. Left over from a previous build. Been sitting for about 6 months and wanted to use it for the GF. She does not play very intensive games so its more than enough for her.
At Stock Load it's within 1DB of the NH-D15 at Stock Fan Curve
I still will suggest a NH-D15s for budgets that fit it
whee countable dba eh
for the guy who's building
Oh, and it's the quietest at full blast
that's fun
all you really need is a cpu, mobo, ram and PSU right?
oh fun
Yep! Ryzen GPU, MOBO, 16GB Ram and PSU
okay, cool

@high flame want wifi ?
I'd still try to get noised normalized testing whenever possible
i'll toss on a PP list soon
@little osprey Do not need Wifi, but does not hurt
I would seriously consider throwing the Scythe Mugen 5 in literally every build that isn't running a super OC'd chip, or a Threadripper.
Graaaaaaphs
At 45 dollars, punching with the NH-D15 is, damn impressive.
And the CPU they were testing with is a 6700K
mhm

@jagged ember @little osprey This is also not a crazy build. There is no need to use all $500 if it means the GPU is bottlenecked. In a few years when its time to upgrade, It will be a whole system upgrade
damn

@high flame https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pX9Gqp here u go :)
smo here look over the build and make sure its alright
no video card as it is being pulled from an older system
Yeah - I dig that.
You can pull storage too. I have SSDs aswell
mhm
oop that was added by accident lol
Also, just looking at the PC38x, I might buy a pair just to replace my PC37X's and then give my Fiancee the 37X's just to replace her crappy Razer Krakens
Albeit, I may have to paint the 37X's Pink...
...maybe not so much anymore
But, it'd be a worthy sacrifice.
gotta get the new stuff
Also, IDK what kind of crack Sennheiser or Drop was on when they chose the color for the grille backing.
Yellow? Really?
Honestly though i agree with that
why yellow?
like, it's fine if you stare directly towards the camera
basically the only complaint i can make about the 38 is the color scheme
other than that i can't complain
Is there like a company or site or whatever that will build a pc with a parts list i give the? Or something like that? Idk lol
dew it yourself
It's like Adult Legos
Honestly, in this day and age it is nearly impossible to eff up building a PC
Everything is keyed to were you can't really insert it the wrong way.
I already have lol
and then spending a couple more hours building a pc
We can allow you to skip that process of researching.
Because I already do it every day.
you can consider getting someone to build it for you
I just have no clue where to plug everything in psu wise
That's what I want to do lol
It's all keyed.
oh, that's not hard lol
You literally only have 1 place to plug each thing in.
well, unless it's modular
Even then
basically 1 place
eh okay
The modular side is keyed, and all the cables have labels.
you rite
it's like "PCIe_1" and "PCIe_2" and stuff, plug either thing in either one and it works
it just works :)
If I could build a PC in the Win9x Era when I was 10 years old, you can build a PC yourself in the Win10 era.
just don't build on a carpet
The Win9x era was a PITA to build in.
If I can do it, anyone can.

Is the starts pc plus good for editing and rendering stuff? I'm not looking to do anything insane and from what I've been looking into that should work well
No.
