The 5xxx series AMD cards are already available, their performance goes a bit like:
5500xt = GTX 1650 super, 5600xt = RTX 2060, 5700xt = RTX 2070 Super
current 5700 drivers are good.
and i would like to repeat. I do not personally care one bit what hardware you end up using @stable oxide
yea...and now is just such a rough time to buy gpu because the new things are literally coming out in weeks, and by the time you get it the value would've dropped by a lot
What i do know is this: You are in the good position to have as much information as possible when you are going to be buying :)
i get it that not everyone needs to use the newest and greatest things, it's just that their prices can drop and there'll be better deals
@foggy hazel alright, so I guess I'll find out which gpu gives me the most bang for my buck on the 28 and 29 at around 400-525 dollars, so as to stay in my budget
tldr; wait if you want to buy a new GPU
We can't accurately predict the future, otherwise we wouldn't be here chilling in this discord :p
TLDR: There is no TLDR
haha okay fair
:)
Tldr : W A I T

sock fight
fight fight fight
as long as ya'll aren't like me waiting since May then you're good, I could've been playing games by now and nope I'm stuck with HP all in one
that is your own choice @pearl blade
@stable oxide as i have told a good number of people recently, come back and lets have a chat when the 6000 series and 3070 numbers are out. We will be so much more informed at that point :)
exactly, it's fine to wait a bit but not like a whole generation and when you need something
@foggy hazel yeah, i just worry about being one of those people who will have to wait because of stock, and I want backups. thanks for the help
nothing we or yourself can do about it "right now" @stable oxide
and you are very welcome

Reason: Bad word usage
oh
so you cant send pc partpicker lists
Oh nvm
i know why
wait no you can?
why did it ban my message
it kinda says
@dry pine you have you be level 3 to send links
oh ok
i don't think that's the case for this channel tho jake
u sure?
yeah you can send pcpartpicker links in this chat
yeah, i'm like 75% sure
even if youre at lowest level
just send the link with no other text @dry pine
ah ok u can I couldnt remember
there was just apparently a bad word in the previous message
im planning on building that when prices are cheap for blackfriday
I mean
if prices get cheaper id recommend a ryzen 5 3600
The "bad word usage" should've been clear why the message wasn't allowed :p
is it a good lineup for a budget build? im just looking to replace my 7 year old prebuilt
yea agree, 3600 would be better if you don't plan on upgrading the cpu
oof usb 2.0 wifi
^
Ick I'll edit it in a sec
oh the mouspad and flash drive is extra because i dont have a flash drive
usb 2.0 nasty tho
oh lol

yea, wifi usb aren't the best thing
ah
oh okay
but sometimes out internet goes out and i need to use a hotspot
true true
for some reason when I was setting up my pc it wasnt detecting my ethernet
so thats a good idea
I had to switch to wifi for windows 10 set up
but anyway, the main reason why im going cheap on the cpu is because a the stock cooler for the 2600 is nice, b im not going to be doing any video editing, and c its a tad more expensive, i have just enough money to buy this pc right now but ima wait till its cheaper
the GTX 1660 might age a lot quicker than you'd expect tho
the ryzen 5 3600 comes with a stock cooler also
yes, if i ever plan to upgrade i dont want to have to buy a new psu
i'd say a 450W gold would be enough if you aren't expecting to upgrade anytime soon
oh, okay
if you aren't planning to upgrade, it'll be enough
im going to be doing very very very light 1080p gaming
but if you are going to upgrade, then it isn't enough
like r6 cod MWF ect
nice
Okay so
Mobile PCPP hates me, but here's revision 1
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4pY8K3
ok
Max, what is your budget?
like 760$
okay
hm...must you get the barracuda 2tb?
ehh, i guess i could go one tb.
because you could probably just do one tb nvme
i do have a external ssd i could plug in but its slow
could also consider an external drive if it's only for storage
not enough luv for the 3100
hey and the 2tb drive stays!
3100 still a solid cpu
yay
very nice
I'll explain every choice as needed
why must i got less than 600w? that psu is just as expensive as mine?
and b550 so room to upgrade to ryzen 5000 down the line
Here's the pro vdh wifi, it's not on pcpp for whatever reason
https://www.newegg.com/msi-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi/p/N82E16813144331
@dry pine first, PSU quality.
W1 is trash
The PSU you chose was only 80+ certified too
End of the story, EVGA W1 is trash.
mmmm true
https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psucultists-psu-tier-list/ @dry pine here is the tier list
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev. 14.4 Last Update: 10-09-2020 Gold - best units in the tier (includes requirements for blue color in tier A) Blue - quiet operation under moderate load Green - small form-factor See spreadsheet for changelog, methodology, detailed description of colors, s...
okay, that basically lol
And next, BR 500w does you fine
refer back to it on #cases-psu-and-cooling in the pins
W1 is prob for like those lowest end build
That whole PC will only pull around 300w
500w will be plenty for your current config lol
alright i guess
@pearl blade tbh I wouldn't feel comfortable choosing W1 unless it's like 20$ B stock and budget doesn't allow for anything else
But hey, at least it ain't no TT smart that might blow up :p
Reason: Bad word usage
oops
Bad words are bad
Reason: Bad word usage
hey atleast evga isnt come with case stuff
Bad words are bad
@stoic island
anyways, you're right on the psu stuff @stoic island
yeah they also match my case and do come in a pair of 3
Okay lemme just explain every issue I had with your list and why I changed them
yea save the money on that or just get a better case
Already told you why for PSU
For CPU+Mobo, Ryzen 3rd gen has considerable IPC gains that make them quite a bit better at gaming than 2nd gen, and motherboard will support Ryzen 5th gen, and also has built in wifi.
For SSD, TLC with quite a bit faster speeds at just 3$ more, why not.
GPU, 1660 super is a step up from 1660
Case is fine, left it, HDD is fine, left it
Extra fans are optional tbh
Another fan or two will make a big difference when it only comes with 1 exhaust fan, but it can "work" if you need to save that 20$ of the budget
No
no ketchup and mutard
oh god
N1 is even worse than w1
no please
alright
That's literally the only thing worse than W1 EVGA makes that I know of
Just switch it back to BR 500w please
stick with the EVGA BR lol
the PSU is really important
makes the difference between your pc working and your pc being fried or exploded
PSU is extremely important to get a decent one, but the difference between decent and good is fairly small, I like to get the cheapest decent PSU that fits in the budget, focus on decent
br550 makes everyone happy
Br 500 br 550 both are fine
if you cheap out on the psu it is possible that all of your components can be killed
makes the difference between your pc working and your pc being fried or exploded
Hence this
which is why you want to get a better one than a cheapo one
Don't cheap out on PSU unless you know which ones are good
always cross reference with the PSU tier list lol
^
had psu blown on me with power surge problem at the house
alright, i saw in one of the revised posts you reccomnned a gigabyte 1660? why is that
oh ok
For graphics cards, all the brands do is slap on a heatsink, as long as the heatsink is decent, what really matters is the GPU underneath.
yea if anything youtube has a lot of benmark videos and even they're just for games you can tell the difference
GTX 1660 super is a fair step up from GTX 1660.
but is my msi vetus one good? ive seen it get 90+ fps in the games i intend to play
its a 1660 non super
Just no for ventus
ppl hate the ventus for coil wine
yes, problem is that super adds 60-80$ onto my budget
Thin heatsink, one of the worst performing thermally most of the time
you really only go over budget by 2 dollars
you can always go amd :/
i think you can spare 2 dollars
Here it is again.
Motherboard is on Newegg, PCPP just doesn't have a listing for whatever reason.
pcpp is rude
hrmm.... ok, it isnt too much more expensive.... will my b450 board still work with the 3100??
It will, but again, I have reasons for picking B550 :p
the 550 will support 5th gen ryzen and has wifi already
Pcie gen 4 for future proofing
and pcie gen 4
well......
yea b550 is appealing at the right price
it most definitely is
Guaranteed 5th gen support, b450 is on a board-by-board basis on if manufacturers want to add 5th gen support
in comparison of b550 and x570 i'd go for x570 tho, but that's more expensive
yeah lol sadly we're budget limited here
its 157$$$??????
Most cheap B450 boards only have 1 M.2 slot supporting NVMe, that one has 2.
Excuse me?
It's 110$
?
Right there
where do you live mr111?
lol
US
oh
Where do you live
wack dude
:p
the reviews on that board seems to be not that great?
lmao
@pearl blade yea I went over it with Naed before, it's people being crazy
"yes that guy had a problem with bios, therefore my problem must be with bios", despite no real known bios issues with that board
And sometimes the reviews are just... With all due respect, dumb.
interesting, so like witchhunts
If Naed says it, it must be true
yeah most of those reviews are saying it doesnt work with cpu
like update the bios lmao
@jagged ember it's b550, they don't need to update bios
It's people doing crap wrong and blaming it on the easiest thing they can think of for blaming :)
For example, one of the reviews was about 3400g not working with the board ...
Because guess what, B550 doesn't support 3000 series APUs, that's not the board's fault...
LOL
THATS A WINDOWS ISSUE
ummm i dont know if i want to deal with updating bios's????
you don't need to do that lol
mmm hmm...
i made a mistake earlier saying that
We're having a laugh at the random reviews
yea b550 is literally the newer boards
no need to upgrade the bios unless it's for the 5000 series
look, if naed says all these reviews are people having no clue how to pc
that's how it is
I can't imagine someone thinking adobe flash and flashing bios are similar things lol

bUt TheY HAVE FlAsH in ThE NAme
hrmm, ok i think i have it where i want it. thanks for all the tips...
lol someone was complaining they had to use CPUs with integrated graphics to see video output
Lmao
like, ????
and now someone is complaining about cooler removing the cpu as well
like, did no one teach you to twist and remove?
It's actually kind of sad how many people go into PC building uninformed
Because all of those are simple issues we could've taught them to fix in under 5 minutes if they came to this discord
It's a sad state of affairs :(
smh i see what naed was talking about lol
well, i'm done reading these reviews
they make me sad
We gotta better educate the public on pc building lol
yes
Before i actually studied
i thought it was really hard
Building pcs
I still dont understand stuff
honestly it seems so daunting
It's a thing of "I think it's hard" -> "oh sounds easy asf" -> "Oh wait there's a bit more to learn" -> "Oh I see, that's easy."
TRUE
There's people getting stuck at the "reddit told me it's easy, I looked at one post, and tried to build this" kinda thing
if it doesn't fit in the slot, rotate it and try again
read your manual for anything you don't understand
Is seasonic focus plus 850w good
Yea i looked at it before but
the trail and error is where the fun is at, my first build took me 6 hours and it was just a simple build
Dont know how to epread
There's a difference between Focus Plus, Focus Plus GM, Focus Plus GX, etc.
"We gotta better educate the public on pc building lol" <- not going to happen until the public is willing to dedicate more than 1 limp braincell to listening
I mean, that goes with basically anything doesnt it? Educate the public on basic x topic
I'm gonna sleep, all I gotta say is, @cursive wharf have fun with that >:)
OCP is limited by current iirc (or maybe general wattage, cant remember the specific one) and due to that the high wattage PSUs will not have OCP on 12v rail
multi rail can mitigate that issue
cuz on say an 850w PSU you can have some 480w 12v rails which is well within what OCP can do
also note, Seasonic FX has some issues
transient response is a bit whack
yeah
Rate 0-10
as an 850w PSU or compare to PSUs like Corsair AXi?
I want something really good
Ill get corsair azi
Nvm
too expensive
Anything else thats really good
i want the best
I deserve it
Ok chill out bud 😂
I'd say DF is like 8 or 8.5 out of 10 if comparing to even the very premium PSUs such as AXi. If just looking at like 850w PSUs in general, probably 9.5/10
I think there is an AX850i, let me check
There is
non I tho
nvm
AX850 non I, no AX850i
dont think so
Or any good ones
@cloud oasis you have had numerous choices listed
The best 850w one that's worth it is DF, unless you really OC heavily (in which case probs be going higher then 850w) or like some custom power management, I wouldnt worry about a better one
hmm
ok i get df
also @foggy hazel i aked if rmx850 white is worth for 161
they said no
@cursive wharf just in case its this right
yep
I mean, you could save a bit with getting cheaper RAM/NVMe and getting more RGB fans or smth. But quality of build seems good
given you're going for 240Hz, Intel isnt a bad choice. Tho, they might be given Zen3
imo should go with an amd build to invest towards future ryzen
i could listen to music for the whole night
prices may be closer to Intel, but they could still be potentially faster be a small amount, just like Intel is faster then AMD be a small bit rn
Yes
Is this a good build ( I’m going to get either a 3060 or 2070s ) the piece is aud btw
@cursive wharf keep in mind, this is iteration number 127 or so
Missing ssd
@atomic fable i think there is a lot of unnecessary money spent there
if you're going amd there is no reason to get an $800 cpu rn
AUD
Get artic liquid freezer 360mm
also that psu is literally just on that list bc it cost $300
not for any practical reason
And put saved money into ssd
availability is NOT the same over there vs in the US
Also you can get asus tuf x570
try it on pcpartpicker
Aud currency is different
well yeah, but regardless of currency differences those are still unnecessarily expensive parts
try :)
im not an idiot, i have thrown together a list on pcpartpicker with super expensive parts like those
prices are VERY different to the US ones
okay, but they are still expensive, i have seen the us prices for some of those
and availability is really bad
Stuff can get inflated
In zimbabwe or something im pretty sure 1 dollar here is like 1 billion there
relative to other options, those are expensive
Bro
that's all i was saying
a 3700x is 500 aud
Its 566 in usd
just to give you an idea
its like you aren't listening. I know there is a currency difference. i am just saying relative to other options available, because even with limited availability of options there are still options, those are expensive. what i am saying is that a 3900xt is expensive relative to for example a 3700x, not that omg 3900xt $1,000 usd no i know there is a currency difference, i am just saying that those are expensive relative to other options that work, and like if they are going AMD probably go for a cheaper ryzen right now to upgrade to 5000 series later. i understand what a currency difference is
there is currency difference, and then there is availablity
both are not in favour when in australia
@atomic fable which specific retailer are you using?
its not mwave is it?
No computer alliance
consider the following: XT variant is generally not worth it over X variant
hm i wonder what that comes down to
At computer alliance they only have 3900xt not 3900x
@gritty zenith which part?
price and avail?
are you forced to use that vendor @atomic fable ?
Kind of because that’s the one closest to me and shipping will but a bit on the cost @foggy hazel
well, considering some of the prices i am seeing from other vendors
consider the following: XT variant is generally not worth it over X variant
@foggy hazel generally statements like this is because one doesn't get much more performance for its price, so isn't worth. that is all i was saying earlier, that its not necessary to get a more expensive one when there is another one with better value. and okay theo said that the better value one isn't available, so there is justification
Computer Alliance looks to be charing a heck of a lot more per part
that i can def agree with
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/TbLYrr <- compare your prices with this
i am NOT saying those are the part i would go with
Could you do lease list some stores in Brisbane I could check out @foggy hazel
just giving you some context
ay third times the charm lol
@atomic fable dont know your home turf well enough for that.
but when i compare what you listed with what i know about australia and shipping.
shipping looks like the logical choice :)
K thnx but do I need a 750w platinum?
Ok thnx
Revolution df 850w
what i am seeing on pcpp, is that there is 10-ish aud difference between the XT and X model
which is basically nothing.
on megabuy its like a 60ish aud difference
ah i c
i honestly think gold rated is fine
could save almost $120 aud
@rugged cobalt what case is that?
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/7QRRGq <- @atomic fable <- suggestion
spicy
that does everything your listed system does. for a whole heck less
K I did some looking and found pretty much the exact same parts for cheaper (price aud)
okay that 3900x is good at that price
Yeah
Oh ok
the ones in the list naed sent are good
Yeah true but I kinda want Corsair 3600mhz but I can’t find any at cl16
corsair rgb 3600 at cl16 is stupid overpriced
Rlly
almost double at least here
Aren't those the dominators?
over the cl18
K I think I’ll go ballistix then
Trident Z Neos are cool
as much as you might be told growing up, rgb does not = fps sadly
Ik ik
Yeah, but it looks cool
They also have non-rgb too
^
trident z looks frickin amazing but meh
they might be cheaper than the dominator rgb tho lol
16gb Gskill 3600 cl16
theo needs to find in an au store tho
Doesn't australia have amazon?
That's where I got mine
My bad cl18 for $67.99 and ships to AU
Oh well
depending on vendor, the shipping can be silly levels of high
o
as in, i have seen 50 aud shipping for a set of ram
and that was newegg x months ago
okay so apparently on the site that theo found the vengeance they are actually $90 aud off
any site works @gritty zenith
as long as it isnt outside of Aus
because .. shipping :)
@little osprey please read :)
I'm just saying it's an alternative if they can't find any vengeance
amazon.com aint AU
Oh...
ur good
My bad, I thought it would convert
availability does not work like that
Atleast I didn't send Best Buy😂
You might receive the wrong RAM, even IF they had AU for Best Buy. Which actually happened to me yesterday
oloy, from what i am seeing on amazon.com.au is not a thing
Dang
I mean I don't really need mine anymore because of Best Buy
i mean best i found was this @atomic fable
but yeah its spensive
I'm probably done with that store now
When you pay for 2x8gb 3200 ram, but get 2x16gb 3200 ram
I think I’ll go with ballistix @gritty zenith
alright
I wanted 32gb ram, but now I have 48gb ram
Also could you recommend me a good budget monitor? @gritty zenith
Your tv. I'm joking, that's what I'm doing tho
Lol
depends on what you want from your monitor
I just want 144hz not curvey
Probably an msi or acer then
Yeah
I think Acer's are the cheaper option tho
K
Huh, I did not notice that
From the right angle, my case fans light up my asus rog strix sticker decal
Totally was not on purpose
this looks p good
you did say budget 144hz monitor tho, so 1080p the best u can get for that ;p
i play at 1080p at 60hz
Same
1080p, 60hz, ultra graphics settings
Im too good
For most games
lol
the only time i feel like im good is when im playing COD with my brother and dad (they play on Xbox)
so i have sort of an upper hand
oof
ikr
amazon doesnt have a au?
australia is a scuffed uk
rip
Yeah there is a Amazon au
@little osprey corsair 500D SE
i cry
just realized, y'all have all these options, yet i have fully immersed myself into the world of SFF PCs and i can't escape, once my parts come in next week i am going to 100% switch into a velka 3 and never look back
@little osprey anywai i build new rig whit this big boy
Can anyone help me choose parts for a $3300 PC please?
holy brother
thats a huge budget
i gotchu
gimme like 10min to shower n i gotchu
@nova tinsel https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Nxwpbh
there ya go
lol added one thing
What are those fans
They cost like 100 dollars
Water cooling not really necessary unless you want whisper quiet operation
Boot drive can be shrunk down to 1tb or 512gb, consider something like the mp34 or the sx8200
Case is not good for airflow, but I don't know good ones
Nt-h1 or nt-h2 thermal compound should perform better than arctic silver
You don't really need to spend your entire budget on a pc

(Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, but the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port will not be usable.)
How can i solve this issue ?
pick a different motherboard
careful that its up to spec tho, will receive harsh criticism if its a dollar too expensive even if you got a $5k budget lol
jk lol, but in all seriousness, the dude said they want $3300 build, thats what i sent
I picked gigabyte b550 aorus pro and msi mpg b550 gaming plus and the same issue
if i were to go with all practical options then it would be a $2,000 build, bc i like to save money personally
I picked gigabyte b550 aorus pro and msi mpg b550 gaming plus and the same issue
@sharp bear maybe b550 boards dont have usb 3.2 gen 1 headers
they do
They do it's true
@sharp bear it's also not an issue lol
Unless you need front panel usb 3.2, ignore that.
oh okay so its not important ?
mhm
it's just front io
if you don't need that 1 fancy usb 3.2 port
you don't need motherboard to have the internal header
granted if you have some reason to need that 1 port out of the like 3 other front io ports
I can find a mobo with usb 3.2 internal header
okay so just skip that
Need some oppinions on a $700 budget build (fees and windows included) for a customer. Wudoyathink?
Its better than the i3 10100 tho
Also 1660s is ~250$ now
Whats a better processor for the price
Used tis :p
Lmao
Hey used cards get the job done
My buddy grab a used 1070ti for $250 and has been working for 8 months
Customers like to be fairly picky with used stuff
Yeah but i wasnt going with used
For yourself idc, but customers, if they're anything like people here, just hate used
Thats why there's two was gonna let them choose
Of course
But whats a better cpu option for $125?
Or close
its your customer, read some reviews :)
if you can earn money you can also read reviews.
I might actually move over to the Newegg builder if they keep deleting parts :(
Mx330-g air is gone now too
they are not deleting as such, more i think pcpp is being exposed to what we did back in the early 00's here
Hm?
which is massive API bs
I mean, there's listings without any listed stores so I don't think it's api
vendors are (potentially) trying to game the system
What do you mean @foggy hazel
i mean, if you can sell machines, you can also read reviews :)
Ive looked and reviews and benchmarks and I've concluded that 3300x is the best quad core for power
Ik but about what
its a time investment that is well used
What reviews should i be reading im lost lol
why are you asking here then?
Thx luv u, Naed
hey naed
can u help me
idk which channel i should be in tho
so my pc when i start it up all of a sudden its showing 2 of the same login emails on the login
one says incorrect password
but when i select the other one
it lets me put my pin in like normal
and get on the pc
check your users
only me on the users
@foggy hazel it's really confusing, because b550m pro vdh still shows up in lists I made before, the API still works and shows price, but today the entry just doesn't show up
err would a picture help better
try it Guw
yes
is this a good build ?https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rj9xrr
The answer is no even if the reason is editing @carmine geyser
si
So it better for me to buy either a b550 or x570 mobo becsue of the upgradebitliy
@inland parrot eh not completely accurate
people made a fuss about that announcement and they're now giving 5th gen support on B450
Oh
This is what i found i which one to get tho https://www.build-gaming-computers.com/b550-vs-x570.html
but that means that for b450 a bios flash will be needed.
@stoic island could u give me a 1000-1200$ gaming pc list? For a friend.
@dry pine mhm, that's why I'd rather give people b550 boards, but if they already have b450, they can chill.
I heard in the review on amazon that one of the motherboards has a bios flash
@small osprey I'm working on other stuff so you might have better luck with other people, some questions to start off, When are you building, any preferences, need wifi? need monitor in there? And doing anything other than gaming?
@inland parrot I think you saw something about bios flashback button, it's a feature on some motherboards that allow you to flash the bios without a CPU installed
Building in couple months, not in that much of a hurry. Wifi would be preferable. Monitor is not needed, going to mainly be used for 1080p 144hz gaming. And some productivity(schoolwork, etc)
no need for a list "now" then
having access to a list now, only opens up the ability for the person to start doing silly things
My friend wants a list so he can finalize his budget with parents, hes looking for deals
buying a part at a time = bad
@inland parrot most of the information on the website is correct, but the thing that should be emphasized is that A LOT OF THE THINGS VARIE FROM MODEL TO MODEL, aka. it's hard to compare low end B550 and High end X570, and High end B550 and low end X570. For example, everything that's in red here depends on the specific model.
@stoic island on that note is the b550-f wifi or x570+ wifi better? They are similar pricing
Nice Halloween setup @tired turtle
❤️
would a ryzen 7 3700x bottlneck rtx 3070 ?
probably but i think everything really will, its still a fine pairing dont stress it, only the top tier cpu's wont bottleneck it
would a ryzen 7 3700x bottlneck rtx 3070 ?
@sharp bear Not really honestly
bottleneck is hard to define
From benchmarks it wont even bottleneck a 3080
and without benchmarks, we don't even know
I think it means (personally)
It's an extreme broad term
Does not allow the GPU to reach its full potential in most games
Thats my personal way of saying it
bottleneck in editing? bottleneck in 2560p? bottlenecking in pushing the most frames in 720p?
all different things
true yes
requiring different amounts of load on GPU and CPU
There are very few situations where you can say "yes it bottlenecks in everything"
Honestly I was going to get a 3080 and a Ryzen 5 but now I called off the whole build
Cause my current PC is working
But it struggled in a game I used to get 60 FPS on Ultra
So I might be wrong
😂
so i would be good for gaming and streaming with ryzen 7 3700x and 3070
wait for benchmarks >:D
What resolution do you plan to play in
2k
(just say 1440p :P)
I see
"2k" is confusing
yeah 1440p HAHA
Most probably not, but as Mr1111 said, wait for some reliable benchmarks
???
3070 is posed to be at the same performance as 2080ti, which can do 1440p pretty damn well
yes
So I'm not sure where you're getting the "most probably not" from..?
Because I have not seen benchmarks, so I cannot present 100% advice even though its obvious
@stoic island is that good or bad
@little osprey eh, I'd still say it's fair to say most likely it can do 1440p quite well, looking at the precedents.
Yes
what about ryzen 9 3900x would that be okay ?
Unless you meant to imply something else by "most probably not"?
I mean for the flash bios @stoic island
Unless you meant to imply something else by "most probably not"?
@stoic island no not really
bios flashback is good
"most probably not" Kinda implies 3070 is too weak to do 1440p, which, from the information we have so far, would not be true :P
@inland parrot if you use mobo mastersheet, right here.
Is there any for b550 and b450
Yes.......
Use the sheet...
and they do work
I have a MSI B450 pro carbon ac
used button many times
o
because who has time to take out gpu to reset cmos via battery :P
is the botton mushy?
or does it have a tactile feel
it like clicks
interesting
Clicky clicky
what if you accidentally hit the button
Yeah what will happen
Then ur cmos resets
you hold it down
Ah
not like click once
iirc it's hold for 5 seconds, and it'll start blinking light letting you know it's doing it
and it has a specific usb port it wants usb stick with bios on it usually
HAHhahHAHAHha
Oh wait it's press button
i will go to your haus
In this demonstration, we’ll show you how to use Flash BIOS Button with MSI motherboard.
and hold down the button
With the flash bios does is also have recovery bios
and install PREVIOUS FIRMWARE
I usually hold button until it starts flashing xD
Antago u so evil xD

@stoic island is there chart that compares every amd motherboard
the mastersheet
has like 98% of all AM4 motherboards
I'm pretty sure I linked it to you before
would it be similar with the 3070 ?
oh bruh

Lol when u search up “bottleneck “ on google
I think we've explained why you can't just quantify a pair as just "bottlenecked" or not in general
I'm pretty sure I linked it to you before
@stoic island just pin the link then smh
Welp, good mobo sheet.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wmsTYK9Z3-jUX5LGRoFnsZYZiW1pfiDZnKCjaXyzd1o/edit?usp=sharing
so my ram in the bios was set to auto and was running 2300 mhz it should be 3600 should i change it to 3600 instead of auto
use xmp
y
@cloud oasis is that for me
@cloud oasis what about Z490 Aorus Elite
About the elite
i would get it but the 2 m.2 slots at the bottom are ugly
Also @inland parrot no
Oh
@stoic island you answerd all my questions just from the google sheets
Is there one for intel
Asus Z490 or gigabyte z490
@cloud oasis bruh elite has better VRMs than both of the mobos you listed >:P
blah
man
Imma just get z490-e
isn't that 300
I’m building a pc rn, the cases back output thing is bent so the io shield won’t go in properly

IM NOT THAT SAVVY
i- whats the regular role
Hi mr1
no im dumb with software :(
Should I over clock my i5
Once you download the drivers, it should either be a program you can just execute right away, or it will be a folder you unzip and execute the program within
OCing always your own risk to take
okay i unzipped it
inside the unzipped folder, there's usually a program that you can execute
how do ik which one?
whichever one is the program
OC is at risk
whats oc
overclock
what does that mean
make it runs faster than stock
is it bad?
possibly
It making you cpu run faster
will i lose my data
It makes the cpu hotter
lol
This person lol
xD
Noooo
It’s all good
Don’t worry about being dumb
That’s the whole point
lol
