and reduces the lifespan
Not really..?
Usually they get higher write speeds by just slapping on a larger dram cache
it does because the architecture is the same they are just adding more thresholds essentially increasing the wear and tear
More thresholds..?
yeah, let me find a really good video explanation
Quick snippet from Tom's hardware @pallid summit
aren't those new processorscontrollers there to enable the increase in thresholds?
if you have 13 minutes this is a great video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtBysgPOKx4
You can hold all the data in the American Library of Congress AND all the data from Wikipedia on a small stack of solid-state drives especially considering a single SSD's capacity can reach up to 30 TB of data. In this video, we'll explore how tens of terabytes can be crammed...
unless that's short for something?
hi! idk if i should ask here. but im wondering if anyone can help me with my build. so i just finished my build today and got all 4 of my ram slots filled. as soon as i begin to use my pc it works fine as smooth but at random points when i install steam or any software. out of no where in the middle of me using it it will blue screen with the error CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT and when i try to update my drivers and or my other components it still wont work. even if i update my BIOS
it basically explains how they are able to get more than just a binary number out of any given memory cell by measuring the voltage
I still don't really see a reason for higher thresholds on e18 than e16?
Afterall, more voltage is more time spent checking
not really what you want for speed
I think e18 means 18 thresholds and e16 means 16 thresholds
I seriously doubt that tbh
Afaik higher thresholds would matter for QLC than TLC because of the more voltage necessary to store more bits per cell
it takes a little longer but you can get a lot more information for the time spent
which offsets the time spent
and controller naming is absolutely wack
you see the SM2264 and SM2267?
that's why I think it has nothing to do with thresholds
maybe it needs more processing power to enable the higher bandwidth
I don't know much about it though
and also, it might be a memory cell thing, not controller thing for thresholds
let's put it this way, if my gramma is a 1 and paul from paul's hardware is a 10 I'm like a 3 when it comes to knowledge about anything related to computing.
meh, I know about 2 things about SSDs sooo
I don't know the difference between the controllers
I work off the results, not the process :P
you know what could tell us an answer?
TBW rating
brb
it would explain why they aren't rated for as many cycles as last gen
look at the Samsung 980 pro compared to the 970 pro
980 is faster but 970 is more durable
are psu fans intake or output
usually intake
so rocket doesn't list tbw on 4 plus
lemme check smth else
god damn it
the only 2 drives with e18 is rocket 4 plus and hof 4 extreme
both don't list tbw
rip
lemme check sm2264 and sm2267
@pallid summit UGHHHHHH Can't find TBW numbers for any of em
too early to find
for the sabrent ones
can't find crap
sadly
not for sabrent 4 plus
not for hof extreme
not for xpg indigo
whatever
let me see what i can find
but yea Samsung drives aren't really too great for endurance rating anyways
wouldn't be surprised if the lower endurance for 7000mb/s is only Samsung
but we'll see
it's because they moved to TLC
980 evo came out right?
and 1tb 970 evo TBW matches up with 1tb 980 pro
is it worth over the 970 evo plus
I haven’t tested my Samsung speeds but they work awesome for me
one is pcie 4.0
I have two 970 evod
one is 3.0
is it worth the price thou
And the rest of my SATA ssd are Samsung also
it's worth the price if you plan on transferring massive ass files from one drive to another or for large file editing
ok
Have the two 970 evo, an 860 evo, an 850 pro, and an 830.
gonna prob go with the 970 evo plus
Have the two 970 evo, an 860 evo, an 850 pro, and an 830.
nice
for most use cases 3.0 is plenty
(Oldest one is over 7 years old and it sat for 3 years full no data loss.
so thats why i was asking
to see if its now worth it
samsung a good brand
trustable one
Yup I count on them
anyone got any good 5-$600 pc builds they can recommend?
@vague willow use youtube
For sure just wanted to see if anyone had any personal recommendations
Anyone buy today? Prime day
@vague willow
cntrl that list is way over 600 if that's what he wanted
@cloud oasis is there any particular reason that you link a 1100-ish usd build to someone that asked for a 5-600usd build?
Its 572
w/o a GPU price
or PSU price
oh
missing the point @fringe hatch
oh I know
no peripherals
okay, well I'll admit that's a bit tight but
indeed
pickup a used system @vague willow, if possible.
best option for actual value at that price point
1660ti is kinda bad value tbh too
yea go with a rx 580, that would be price to performence
I've already asked and my question was answered, but I'd like some different opinions. Is this list fine? It doesn't have to be the best of the best parts.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZsXMnL
have a cpu cooler?
switch out the ti for a super if you're bent on going nvidia for that range of gpu
3600 stock cooler is good enough
i built my brother a pc with 3600 and the stock cooler does him well
Okay, thanks.
@hallow rock hey, you can get a B550 board for same price or less.
Ram is out of stock right now
And at 300$, you might as well get a RTX 2060 instead of a gtx 1660ti
C24g1 usually is around 150$ I feel... hmm
I'd grab a MSI G241 instead for dat IPS panel at the 190$ mark
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824475047
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KX66Mp/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-6-gb-oc-video-card-gv-n2060oc-6gd
Thats the RTX 2060 thing you were talking about?
Yea
there's the revised list
should do ya a little better
and also the ram you had there before was out of stock and thus not showing a price, i switched to faster ram for like $15 more
Quick question right now I give you $2000 for a single pc steaming setup. Are you going Intel core i9 9900k or R9 3900x little debate I'm having with a friend.
Ok just making sure I'm not dumb or something
if im streaming im also recording to upload to youtube which means edits and renders too
so yeah
That's what I was saying and they be like Intel i9 is better
nah
It's a 4 core 8 thread diff and .2ghz base clock
i have i9-9900k and it doesn't feel much different in speed to when i had an 8700k
i9 performs better with gaming performance but your going to have a gpu so not rly a need to spend more for a i9 instead of the r9
Thanks for the updated list
even though they will be sold out to bots within seconds
U mean 4000
Oh
amd dont know how to count
@spark raven btw, 9900k kinda out of date today
thats why they made a 64 core cpu
10900k exists
meh
just sayin
Yea I know that as well but the debate was 9900k vs 3900x
if you're spending 2000$
BTW If I'm personally spending 2000$, I'd grab 10700k+3080 with pretty good other stuff
amd stepped into mobile already king bc intel sucked that bad
I mean samsung also doesn't know how to count they go from 10 - 20
No the new ryzen chromebooks gimme gimme hopefully my school had a few brain cells and gets them
So my pc for some reason since Saturday I have been dealing with my computer freezing during game and restarting or the game freezing and a loud buzzing noise from my headphones. I have checked my temps on both my cpu and gpu and they have been fine. Do y’all have any idea what could be wrong?
But definitely not getting either when they remove the old Workstations form the computer lab to make us use out chromebooks to do photo editing
@exotic bison driver update maybe
Also try plugging the headphones into another device to check if it's the headphones or the computer that's causing that issue
just build a velkase build and bring a powerhouse in ur pocket
I just updated my drivers Friday or Saturday. And it also happens when I’m using the speakers
have you tried using without any audio?
i know sounds stupid but it just to make sure 100% that its audio problem
and are you using on board audio connections, or front panel connections?
Try limiting the amount of stuff your using to find the issue best thing to do for any tech thing. I am a stage lighter and if something doesn't work you just eliminate every possibility before assuming it's the actual light in this case the computer
The front panel but the speakers I’m using are in a tv that comes through a hdmi
oof
now that's odd
again, did you try running it without audio?
its best to do what wildgust said but if your suspicion is audio related try that
Yea since there is an audio issue plug the speakers into a laptop or something test them separately
If it works that way you can eliminate the fact that the speakers are broken or something like that. From there test other smaller things. Like plugging a different thing into the HDMI port like an Xbox or something
@vague willow there are a lot of components you can get away with buying used
With 2k u can squeeze 10850k in
Your not wrong but also look at the new scores from ryzen 9 5900x
Nothing beating that beast
Like that's just even the ryzen 5 5600x
Beats the 10900k
my lord
5900x was comfortably at around 630 pts iirc
what has intel done with those mobile processors
hm
yeah you gotta be braindead to not go 5800x for the same price as 10850k
forgot about 5900x/5800x pricing being x50$
Yea the person I'm talking to seems to be braindead
They said they used to the i9 but they sent their current spec sheet and they have a i5 2400
Yes it confused me too
nice
@cloud oasis https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BFQJxc here is the superior build you meant to link :3
$1 more
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/C87LkX superior one you meant to link
idk i saw something about 2k builds and made one
Nice
I approve
to be fair i threw in an x570 board and trident rgb
@vital warren freezer ii 360mm is usually 125$ btw
Yea someone was having a debate with me over which was better in a $2k system Ryzen 9 3900x or i9 9900k pretty simple if you ask me
yeah i know, but i was just throwing in a $300 board bc thats what cntrl did
oh i meant to type 125 rip
and the x570 + rgb ram was flex too lol
Freezer iis are literally one of the, if not the best performing aio you can get.
@gritty zenith performance wise, not for fancy showing off flexing
I'm still a perf>looks guy at the end of the day
I mean flex as in hwbot points kinda flex
i have the freezer 34 duo and only 2 case fans in a very bad airflow case and get around 28°C< idle temps on my 9900k
again, idle temps only tell you room temp :D
p95 smallfft
that'll tell you a bit of a more solid number
i forgot the stress temps bc i have been sucked into homework for the past 2 weeks
nice i have an fx 6300 that's most likely burnt to a crisp and the stock cooler screams like a jet engine
lol
lost the side panel too
still gets hot
extremely
using desk fan as exhaust fan as well
ooo system lag
this test op
should i have closed revit and my 15 microsoft edge tabs
doesn't matter
smallfft eats everything
:D
and look at temps while stress test is running
don't close it then look at temps
actually brb lemme find numbers on saturation for air coolers
rip hdd
lol
round a minute and a half for air coolers it seems
aight
@gritty zenith btw, did you make sure to run smallfft? default is blend.
Smallfft is better
hard to type
blend stresses bits of IMC and bits of CPU at the same time basically
o
Smallfft just eats your CPU
I've had like 70c max with blend
then it just dies with smallfft
so just wanted to warn you
yep
just need to make sure i save my work then lol
I had an unstable OC
it's not a thing that'll crash your thing on stock, mine crashed from unstable OC lel
it's a part of having fun with OCing ¯_(ツ)_/¯
it boosts itself to whatever it feels like sooo
let it be
ighty then
and btw, there's a good chance smallfft will make it go hawt and like 85c, don't worry, smallfft is literally worst case scenario, it's the hottest it can ever get basically
wrong channel tbh
SN750 1tb 120$ @floral flare
ok, i am moving to tech deals
$169.99 should be the base price
thanks
I mean this channel is a fair place to ask if things are worth it @gritty zenith
:P
oi i was js they did mention the word deals ;p
heh
o
ok then
smallfft or smallestfft
smallfft
what about the wd blue
is this the same as ?
alright time to kill my computer
lel
likely not gonna die
instant 72
im sure on amazon you can find a 1tb nvme for a great price
those are the same, right?
Do you want a 2.5in SATA drive or a M.2 NVMe drive?
that isn't evo
those are very different drives at different prices
SATA drives are rated for ~500mb/s r/w
NVMe (PCIe 3.0) drives are rated for ~3000mb/s r/w
@floral flare again, SN750 is literally just better than 970evo for the price
ok
if there are 3 cement walls between me and my router and im using a wifi usb adapter does that explain my lag in games
Yes
get a wifi motherboard then
depends on your budget
For AM4?
Budget board, MSI B550 Pro-VDH wifi
Mid end, Asus X570-Plus wifi
thats a big window
msi
300$ is gotta have to be MSI X570 Unify
:D
Unify is a smexy board
too high pricing tho
so after about 4 and a half minutes my highest temp was about 84 degrees yeah
mhm x570 plus wifi is good
yea
@gritty zenith now that's a good way to measure temps :)
under smallfft
that's good.
not bad for 3 fans total lmao
mhm
ok, show it there
let me look
@gritty zenith that looks soooo cool
man
you case
👍
fun
yeah i assume its also pretty rare bc i havent found it on any sales website and i cant find any info on it past basic specs cant even find a manual anywhere
Hey
yo
What you trying to do?
okay so my budget is $700
Alright
Ok so you want streaming
i'd say go ryzen dude
What res do you plan to play at?
1080
ok
amd for price ratio right now, better than intel. if you ask me
i was recommended the i3 10100 but idk
hmm at that level. maybe go intel
the ryzen 5's and 7's are really nice. but if that's your budget. yeah, prolly go intel
what?
idk if it could handle streaming though
and run good frames
which also im debating on a 1660 super or a 1060
streaming is not really all that intensive, just get obs studio, (its free)
and doesn't use too many resources. should work fine
you just have to set it up properly, of which is an ordeal, but there are tutorials for sure

nvenc takes care of most of the streaming
so 1060 or 1660
LMAO I DIDN'T KNOW PRIME95 RUNS TIL YOU STOP IT
@undone prairie
Here is the build I recommend at that budget.
ok
my cpu been stress testing for over an hour straight lmao
@gritty zenith ded cpu
its wondering why you are torturing it
"why father?"
intel not a good investment
good choice for the cpu, but not a good investment with ryzen 5000 coming soon
also if you're bent on nvidia at that price point go for super not ti
@undone prairie the power supply is garbage
its budget build
you should ditch intel and get a nvidia gpu
TT smart series is a bomb
i personally wouldn't run anything that isn't evga unless its platinum
corsair is fine
its a budget build lmao and i need to stream
for psus
ryzen is overpriced atm
true
tru
true
if you need to stream at a budget use nvenc encoder on the new nvidia gpu
so what gpu should i use
how much money you got for a gpu
maybe a 1660 super
wait
it would be ideal
1660 super would be better
because 1660 ti is actually cheaper atm with that deal
intel stock cooler is garbage
ik
how much do you have for pc?
intel has a stock cooler?
@undone prairie
hold up ill fix ur list give me a min
did you mean to not pick any ram?
this would be ideal
check mine
id wait for the 3600 to go on sale tho
should go on sale at somepoint soon
cuz zen 3
ah ok ill see if I can cut more corners
if you plan on doing anything except playing one videogame at a time
dont do an i3
like dont even think about it
i heard its pretty good
a 10100 is clost to a 10400 i5
okay
dont hold on so tight to intel
i get ryzen is better
amd will do you better for what you want
for multitasking
like asap
kk
3600 destroys the i3-10100
Looks fine
if you only have $700 for what you want you gotta get a cheaper case
if you don't want to cut anywhere else
leme tweak it a lil more
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DkpTW3 @undone prairie hows this look?
for you or him?
yeah it looks pretty good thanks
im prolly gonna get a 1tb instead of 2 for hdd
would you want cheaper ram cuz there is some good ram on sale
yeah i want rgb
no
the 2600 comes with a cooler
pretty sure
and they work pretty well up to ryzen 5s
yea it does
and yep stock amd coolers are good for lower end
but higher end like R9 need other cpu coolers
okay check this out https://pcpartpicker.com/list/83rkLP
spending too much on ssd
it fits my budget
@gritty zenith 9900k on stop
its only a starter pc i can upgrade it in christmas
top
but why spend $70 on 250gb when you can spend a little less on 512?
don't get a 2600
1650 super not the move
especially when you can get a 1660 ti for only #50 more
*$
@undone prairie tried to accommodate for what you wanted in the build
you might have to use that christmas money to get a proper harddrive
maybe better cpu
h510
does the h510 come with fans tho bc like
ill prolly use it to get a better cpu
h510 dog
he wanted h510 so i put it there
rgb ram not needed
it can be changed
don't
boi
i wanted to put cuz he wanted it
said they wanted rgb
its a bad case at a bad price
let them have rgb
trying to accommodate and put what they wanted
they said they can upgrade
you don't need rgb ram
smh
there is the $44 crucial ballistixs ram
then jus upgraded my gpu on christmas
1650 super not 1650
a 1650 super is a fine gpu
but it would work
eh
and then on christmas ill prolly get a 2060
u just cant play insane games at higher quality
1650 is an odd lineup
this should be good for now if you plan on upgrading "soon"
cpu, gpu, and ssd are chosen with upgrades in mind
that board should be really good for upgrading in the future, the psu fully modular so there's that too
I wouldnt get that psu tho
okay how bout this
[question mark]
actually
that psu is fine
thought it was the BQ for a sec
its a B tier
@undone prairie
Id recommend getting the coolermaster case
the mb311L
gives u 2 fans
rgb
and better airflow
and can for sure fit big boi cards
plus u dont have to buy extra fans
ok
you mean best for performance still within that budget then correct?
just take the front top fan and use it as an exhaust
yeah
why not put bottom fan as exhaust
then u are suffocating the gpu
cuz air travels up
yeah
rtx 2060 or rx 5600xt or 1660s
no

mp34 is high performing
also that WDblue is actually sata 3
ah
yup thats the one I just sent
i might just get an mp34
im running a 3d nand lmaoo
3d nand on wifi big oof for those who wait for me to load into online matches
mp34 has good dram
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gyDLkX @undone prairie btw this looks good
ive built in the coolermaster case before
its fun to build in
and easy
building in general is fun :3
different cases different challenges challenges = fun so long as you don't screw up lol
im getting a TD500 mesh tomorrow or thursday
the case i have right now was hard to build in but i managed
coming in the mail for my build
with the extra $10 in budget he might be able to afford some rgb ram
if he really wanted
the oloy tomohawk were good
wait
might be the wrong name
dont remember
mus use br
id wait on RDNA 2 to be announced
@polar python
if u wanted amd gpu
think announcement is on the 28th
how much will the cards be?
not sure
i was plannin to upgrade to a 3070/3080
havent heard anything yet
cuz it isnt announced yet
I mean if you plan on upgrading maybe get a cheaper card
like a 1650 super or something
Does anyone have any tips for grabbing one of the new 30 series cards before they sell out? My cousin wants to build a computer with the new 3070 coming out but I know they sell out almost instantly and not sure how fast they restock. Any help appreciated
hey, does the asus prime pro come with the drivers to handle zen 3?
how much do u think i should spend on a 2070s/1080ti
@hardy cairn "Zen 3 will be supported on motherboards with the 500 series chipsets. 400 series boards will also see support as AMD will share code allowing motherboard manufacturers to support Zen 3 on select B450 / X470 motherboards using select beta BIOSes." Looks like if you have a 500 chipset you will be set, and in some cases the 400 as well
ah, thanks! My worry was I'd slap it all together and then it wouldn't boot because it wouldn't recognize what a zen 3 was.
@hardy cairn Yeah np, that was just a quick google search. If this is a build you already have running and you are upgrading, maybe just make sure the Bios is all up to date, but if it is a new build you should be fine
totally new build. haven't built a pc in about 5 years and a lot's changed.
that's the one I'm planning on getting
@hardy cairn Yeah I really don't know all too much either but looks cool! Best of luck to you, hope to see it completed in the future.
thanks!
Yay or nay, Is this pc capable of streaming, gaming and editing?? https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Zdg99N
Yan?
Best/cheapest 144hz monitor not curved ?
Question; If my load wattage is 497 and the wattage calc says rec. PSU wattage is 547. Will be Corsair CX Series 550W be enough? Or should I upgrade to a 600W/650W power supply
fine
@stoic island are you saying that what I have is fine?
I believe it's all good, not sure tho
guyes any one here who can help me with high end pc building this is the list
i want to know if they are compatable to each other plzz look properly cause ones i buy it i cant return it so the money will be west
@queen vault I would wait on that graphics card, the 3060 will be coming out at a lower price + better performance. It should be available some time next month, so unless this is an emergency build (which given the price I think not!) you should wait. Also, as for your cooler, I would suggest a larger case such as this one https://www.newegg.com/black-phanteks-enthoo-pro-atx-full-tower/p/N82E16811854069. You don't have to do this exact one, but for water cooling I would suggest you get a large case, as long as the fan mounts are compatible. Also, the larger size + higher airflow will be good for your cooling, especially with those toasty bois you have in there. However, if you want an rgb case then don't get this one, get something similar. Other than that, your system looks great, and I wish you good luck!
I have problem with bios When i get into the bios..bios freezes and I can’t control of anything (I installed Windows normally and everything is ok) anyone can help me
hi guys can yall @ me with a good pc specs that is not to expensive
Reason: Bad word usage
If I replace the thermal compound on my gpu, is it like a cpu, or does it not matter if some paste goes over the edge when putting the heatsink back on??
yeah should be fine if there is some overspill but not too much
okay awesome thank you!
ive repasted my old gtx 970 before
Careful with gpu, bare die
Reason: Bad word usage
yeah make sure you wipe it clean
would alcohol and a cotton ball work
What gpu should I get I want a 3080 but I’m not too confident that I will get one
when the 3070 drops you might have a better chance of getting your hands on one
yeah should work then come back with a microfiber cloth to get some of the stuff that comes off the cotton ball @dense leaf
All right epic, appreciate it @ripe wedge
np also if you are unsure about repasting gpus just look up some youtube videos
or tearing down your gpu
does anyone know where to get good and budget parts from?
ebay, r/hardwareswap, and local places if u wanna buy used and any retailer like amazon or newegg for new
I'd go with an rx 580
@blazing steppe you have to mail the rebate in, to get a rebate, you don't get the money off the purchase
that's why I don't really count mail in rebate
@pallid summit I wouldn't. To put simply.
https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/GeForce-GTX-1660-SUPER-vs-GeForce-GTX-1650-SUPER-vs-Radeon-RX-580/4159vs4167vs3736
don't you still get the money back in the end @stoic island ?
it's a rebate
usually coupon
not money-back
lmao focus g mini just sold out on newegg
580 oc
can you help me shave the list down to 625?
ocing doesn't exactly double the performance of a card :P
Yes
I'll have to brb tho
Do you think an 800 dollar pc could emulate windows
I don't wanna pay the 120 dollar price tag and so I was going to go for linux and emulate if i need to
@blazing steppe If I knocked it back down to a 1660
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LXBMp2
@bright kelp why do you need to emulate it when you can run native
windows is not 120 dollar
and btw
its like 5 bucks
VMs need windows licenses if you want it to be activated
and windows key for running it natively is 5$
oh okay Ill run natively then
There's no reason to go through all the trouble for VMing
because god damn does sharing GPU looking like a pain
I'll make a 800$ list
okay thanks
@bright kelp case is out of stock rn, I can swap case and PSU if you want, Rev. 1:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zRXK8J
what would the other PSU be?
can anyone make me a build for 500 dollars or 700 dollars or both if u can ping me or dm me
@stoic island thx
yw
@bright kelp I mean you can get a better case by downgrading PSU, which could be necessary if you want a better case that's in stock.
uh yeah sure that sounds good
@little osprey example 700$ list
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vd7K8J
@bright kelp this is what it would look like if swapped
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j9HXLP
@little osprey example ~500$ list, could cut down a bit more, would be hard.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TrgVnL
what CPUs are comparable to r5 5600x
ok ty
@polar python right now? as far as we know, 10600k.
okay, thanks
I don't like it
@balmy patio I would say go for a 1660S instead of a ti
And cl16 ram instead of cl18
Dansgame psu
Not fully module =
...
What?
^^
why P1 when MP34 is literally the same price
why
Damn.....
just don't bother them
U better shut up
Ur life is a mistake
Nope
Imagine getting mad just for people making suggestions 😂
^^
He called someone a idiot
that's you btw
Welp u are now
@odd crypt Mr1111 gave me some good stuff for a list too lmao. Just listen to them. Also your list has a few issues and some parts are incompatible meaning you might have to buy extra stuff.
Bro these are like the come backs I said in like 5yh grade lmaoo
how about you both calm down?
if you want to post BS like what you did above, keep it to #general-chat
Lmaooo
@arctic jungle you should know better
you have been told this a number of times by now.
?
naed is a cool dude ngl
@stoic island if someone isn't listening abt tech help, just don't bug them... there's no reason to indulge their egos
mr111 is a cool dude, always willing to help anyone that needs it
:)
hi my friend made thiss is it good specs https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kLdBmk
@stoic island is a 5900x and 3080 sound like good combo for Christmas build
I'd take it
@stoic island i do but thats my firends pc specs
and im thincking of biulding mine useing his
specs
Well, I'm gonna edit it to be a better streaming PC >:D
When are you building?
Okay, rule of thumb, don't settle on a final list until right before you buy, so this is only an outline, come back for a new list when the time comes.
ok
Because the market changes very often, new parts come out, part pricing goes all wack, etc, etc.
also im looking for a buget gameing and streaming biuld
Second rule of thumb, buy everything at once, because ^, and because buying separately runs the risk of things going outside of return window if it's bad.
tbh 1000$ isn't that budget
you can get some goodies
lol i know
Revision 1:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jDx4Dc
thats a pretty good build for 1k
How’s this but with a 3080 and 5900x anyone and @stoic island I always see you on here
hai
i saw those specs on a youtube vid
😂 really
Crap let me fix it
:)
Rookies can send links now? Lol
They always were meant to be able to send pcpp, newegg, and amazon links
I see
Bot eating all of them up hasn't been intentional
Yea
they're supposed to eat it up if you're linking to weird places tho
lol
@austere condor By the way, since you made a build in the MB311L, how good is it, and how easy is it to build in? I've been starting to recommend it, but not sure on how good it is.
@stoic island I just remembered are there any vidoes on the mx330g air?
Anyone know I a good ryzen 7 or 8 processor for a good price?
@stoic island how much money should i spend on a pc
@little osprey ik ur not asking me but ir really depends on your needs
and what you are expecting from it
uh
There we go @stoic island
this is a list mr1111 did for me earlier today
i asked him to revise my high settings 1080p at 1k including monitor list and he came out with that
@stoic island it replace the ssd with a mp34 and the 3080 and 5900x in there how does it look
I'm back
@old hearth to start off, for AIOs, the only AIO I would recommend is an Arctic freezer ii, and all aftermarket coolers I know of come with thermal paste, no need to buy extras unless you really want to.
Ok
Next, motherboard a bit expensive, but 200$ isn't a huge problem.
Then, for ram, 3600cl16 is optimal for Ryzen, grab some 3600c16 kits, not 3600c18
and I would rather have 2x16gb sticks, usually cheaper, and can give you upgradability in the future, for example, a kit like this (Including RGB for now, we'll talk about that later)

Ok
Next, can you explain what you're planning to store on this PC?
wait i never understood the difference in between cl16 and cl18, can you explain that?
Sure, it's cas latency, lower is better.
