@little osprey are u just gaming?
yes
I think my eyes were originally on the 3700. I was going to build my PC at the end of the year, at most early Q1.
I'm only gonna do 2k gaming
Yes..
I don't think 4k is worth it
Do any of you have any more advice before I leave today.
You have been very helpful today.
Thank you much
@little leaf
My first PC will be pretty cursed. At least until I finish building it.
It'll be what's in my username on an Asus prime, 3 2gig ddr4 3600.
Thing is, I'll be using it in a dirt-old case with a 10yr old brand new GPU, running SATA if I'm lucky.
I'm keeping 400$ for the GPU when it comes out, and I'll buy the other components as I earn the money.
The 9900k isnt worth anymore
You sure, at 360$?
@plucky drum i think all that is left for you, is reading and more reading :)
@little osprey very much so
10600k at 300 beats it in gaming
And intel would not be the choice for you
Your budget is around 1k for gpu cpu and mobo
@foggy hazel Thank you again and goodnight
you are very welcome and likewise @plucky drum
Naed
yes @little leaf ?
fair enough, at least we know that you have about 11 minutes of memory :P
I has 2gigs of ram in my brain
And its all used on chrome
@robust plover you got an answer earlier.
@foggy hazel
Ruled out ram, storage, PSU. Any other ideas?
I did
Ok cool
If you plan on using NVENC, which you 100% should for quality and performance then yeah itl stream like a beast
Hello
Budget and purpos?
I have a pc rn but i regret every single part
Specs?
3000g, cheap ssd, crappy 2x8gb 3200mhz rgb ram, cx450
Oof
I'm using my brother's old 1050 atm
Mobo?
Ok
Also i have a 500g hdd from the trash
yeah
I found a 3700x locally for $140
Wat
cx450 ain't bad for budget
@stoic island It only has 1 pcie power connector
Cooler?
ya
He says he'll ship it
but it's pretty close to me
I'd like to get it to flip, but my mom wont even let me get a 1060 6gb that was $70
I really don't need anything overkill
I'm thinking maybe an aliexpress xeon system
Fresh build I just did for fun.
i7 6700
16GB of RAM
256GB Samsung NVMe SSD
GTX Titan
EVGA 650 P2
I got bored and installed macOS this weekend. Went with High Sierra because I knew it would be...
I really like the look of this one
And the fact that it has a gtx titan
But it's not very future proof
I mean
I think it's a pretty good deal
😐
yeah
ya
Still would be cool to have
I'm gonna see what $550 can get me on pcpartpicker
Wdym cooler?
Reuse everything besides cpu and gpu
ok
Try selling gpu for like 75-90
It's my brother's gpu
3700x stock
I think I might sell my system without the 1050 and the ssd
just with the 500gh hdd and igpu
I might be able to get $350 if i'm lucky
I got it when prices were super high
This is what $550 could get me
I feel bad cause I think my brother's pc costed over $600 and I built one for $300
😦
I wish I asked for more
Cause now upgrades come out of my pocket
no storage?
I would use the ssd i have
kk
fr tho i should have asked for more
Now that I think about it
Cause my brother's pc was at least $600 and my other brother just got a $700 laptop
And I'm over here stuck with a 3000g system
just sell it and try to get a 3200g for around 30$ more
I have a b450 mobo
i heard those were REALLY good
I don't want an apu\
ik the 4th gen APUs can even be run on A320s
ok
the benchmarks show that the APUs even beat older GPUs soo
could anyone tell me if this build is good for $800 or if i should change something
ok
I want to play fs 2020 with decent settings
Would this be a good option?
It's a good deal, but idk if it's right for me
Cause it'
s not very upgradable
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Best Buy)
Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($109.99 @ Newegg)

Case: Thermaltake V200 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: *Thermaltake Smart BX1 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $729.94
the case isnt in stock rn
just curious if i could get more out of that since i only wanna spend $800
its around $803 with tax
Get a different psu
Let me see
ok
would 500 wattage be enough since the PC is estimated 275 wattage
not for the time being
im building it for my friend she wants to play rainbow and csgo on it mainly
What PC is better im only using this for gaming and light tasks im not streaming
Intel https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/LntVMc
amd
why
^^^^^^^
yeah amd
Better value
i dont care about price
If you want a i7 get the 10700k instead
intel if price isnt a issue
yea
ok
if price is no issue get the new i9 or i7 there very fast \
That's a thing?
Yep
Essentially a 10700k with no upgrade path@tidal bluff
but u can go 9th i9 or 10th gen i9/i7 but 10th gen has better cooling
Who pays for naming...m
apple???
just get a ryzen 3900x (:
10850k is cooler
You'll need something beefer
More swag
Custom liquid cool
^
"light gaming"
Or you could get air cooler intsead...no risk of pump failer or leaks.
Yeah like that beefy noctua air cooler
wrong link
idk I'd literally get a 3600 and be done for a while
It was a $50k pc
hahaha
no i copied that
Aio are overrated. They save space and look cooler but when it comes to being reliable I wouldn't trust them.
it was just a saved list so i had to edit it
But can die
Aios will likely be fine for a long time xD
just look at the dark rock 4
same reason u get rgb
If you get a decent one
Can kill your CPU. If a air cooler dies you just need to replace one or two fans while a whole aio means the whole thing is pretty much trash
It's mostly leaks
could just be me
But they're rare
i've only heard problems with custom loops
Seriously AIOs are good but you don't want to be that one out of like a hundred that gets a bad one
been using a evga 280 clc for like 5 years went out once didnt leak just shut off got a new one replaced for free
An AIO will likely be fine tbh
if their aios leaked
Yeah just get an aio ....but they also require more maintenance to. You'll have to clean the radiator more often
If you need a good gpu get the GT 210
The dust buildup can get bad if you don't have good filtering

i blow mine out every 3-6 months
Nice
but i do have filters on front 3 fans
Which is generally better for the price, 5700XT or 5500XT?
I'm about to get a 5700xt upgrading from an rx580. It just depends on what you use it for.
5500xt is a good starter for 1080p gaming, while 5700xt is better for mid range 1440p if i remember correctly. But if you have money to blow, then get a 2070 super or a 2080 ti
2080 ti dksksjbe
Later down the line will a 5 2600 help with streaming performance
@solar thicket I'm gaming at less than 1080p
oh 1660 super or ti will do you nicely
or since 2060's have gotten cheaper you could spring for one of those, and run it either nicer or faster.
Thing is I'm using the Radeon gpu overclock software
ahhhh i get you there
And I'm not going to be using the rtx anyways for the 2060
Would I need to upgrade my psu if I go 5700XT? I'm running a 500W
no, you would be okay, as long as it has two 6+2 pin vga adapters
my semi modular one came with them, and its a 550 bronze
id check it before buying anything
Thinking of going EVGA 500W gold full modular though
and look for cables on the actual cards themselves. they vary sometimes
I'd go 650 for more room to upgrade
and semi is all you need
I'm working on a budget so...
then definitely go for semi
all that means is the 24 pin and 8 pin mobo connector is integrated
I love mine, it does me good and was easy to install
I have a 5 3600, 570, Asus rog Strix b450-f, rosewill challenger s, Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2tb, samsung 970 Evo plus 1tb, and thermaltake smart 500W
Looking to change the 570
5700XT preferably
B450f isn't the best, and the tt smart isn't great either
Ik
that is what im getting
Ahh
If you are getting the 5700xt, change the psu
@grand sierra I'm thinking if getting a EVGA 500w gold. Either semi or full modular
Nah, going Asus
Don't get that. Get the Corsair CX 550w
respectable, but too pricey for me
Sapphire Pulse 5700xt is the best 5700xt model
I'm planning on making an almost all Asus desktop
how much better than the one i sent?
It's been a dream of mine since I was younger to have an Asus computer so ....
Then go for it! I wont stop you, lol.
wow it looks nice but geez its 70 bucks more than the one i sent
Mine is also faster than Clutches
yeah, it is, but my rx 580 has 1200 boost i think lemme look.
I have a gigabyte 570
Should I get the 2070 or save $200 and get the 1660 super for 1080p 100+ fps gaming
is seasonic psu better than other brands?
Does anyone know what RAM would be best suited for an ASROCK Z87 Extreme6 mobo that already has 2x4GB worth of G.Skill DDR3-1600?
I don't know whether it's a waste to buy more DDR3 RAM or not 😕
It won't be in your case, if your mobo supports DDR3 it only supports ddr3
Unless, you plan to upgrade it
What kind of DDR3 RAM should I buy in terms of MHZ speeds, and will there be any compatibility issues if I keep the 2x4GB worth of G.Skill DDR3-1600 in my build?
You'll be limited by the slowest ram speed on your board
So don't mix and match speeds
It depends on if you're okay with those speeds or if you want faster
anyone else waiting on the nvidia gtx 3080?
Gigabyte B450M DS3H
MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX
ASRock B450M PRO4
Which is the best? Tag while replying.
@primal belfry seasonic is like the best
Any reason for this answer?@shrewd tundra
Any reason for this answer?@shrewd tundra
@little osprey easy over locking bios, 2 m.2 slots, 2 pcie 3.0,
And etc
Overall it’s better
i wanna go where you go lol
oh
also the software they run sucks
Rip
My school has Chromebooks beat that 😂
Re-format the drives
are your colleges pcs any better? @scarlet spear
My school laptops are OP compared to Chromebooks
But can't hold anything against a dGPU
ours run this cringy software that makes them annoying to bring your own peripherals and change mouse sensitivity
most schools dont expect anything except web browsing
and thats the sole purpose of a chromebook
I see
@viral ore those are the college pcs
read the rest of my msgs
i was wondering if they were actually usable, compared to the ones at my college
well, ours are like the same specs, but they run this terrible graphical overlay, and bug out all the time
they dropped a ton of money on this esports room, and the 50 pcs just dont game very well lmao
Well actually
This is the esports room lmao
I count 12
Possibly more behind these 2 doors
ours also has a bunch of consoles
so its pretty cool for most things, except for competitive pc gaming
Nvm they’re offices
rip
That’s cool that you had consoles
yeah, the smash players like to hold tournaments there and be really obnoxious and loud
making any form of voice chat impossible
making any form of competitive pc gaming impossible lol
smash tourneys fun tho
Forgot about that problem
order 50 noisecancelling headphones
lmao
I can’t download anything that “makes changes to this device” but uhhhhh
External ssd?
probably wouldnt help with that
I could predownload stuff onto it
ohhh yeah
Is 100MB/s fast enough to play games on?
install whatever to it, then run it off it
i assume 100Mb/s
and yes
most games use only like 3Mb/s
Ah ok
Adata 128gb flash drive with transfer speeds up to 100MB/s
$19usd
Ty come again
Oh lol
as far as data transfer goes, it varies per game, but I dont think that would be enough
also, you can just run steam off the usb, download game to internal drive
Wouldn’t it ask to make changes?
to download game? no, steam would already have permission
starting steam is your only real issue
Ah
it will probably want more perms than the os is set up to give it
I have a better idea actually
i have a question plz
i buy these RAM G.SKILL Trident Z RGB (For AMD) 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX
is it working with ASRock z490 extreme Motherboard intel 10th Gen
$27 256gb ssd and I already have an external ssd enclosure at home
I wouldn’t mix intel motherboard and cpu with amd memory
ok BUT i allready buy it
the memory is fine
fine with intel 10 gen motherboard ?
yeah, its just DDR4 memory
💯
How many fans should I install in my cabinet? Excluding the CPU fan & back cabinet fan. Tag me while replying.
@scarlet spear the for amd is just a marketing term, it means nothing
@little osprey the more the better
I wish marketing nonsense like that didn't exist because it creates so many problems and fixes none
Well it might get someone to buy that specific RAM, so from the company's point of view it might fix a problem. But yeah it's not real helpful to consumers
I want to upgrade my RAM to 2x16gb for 32 gb RAM. I have HP Pavillon 590-p0xxx, sn 8CG824CM6F,product 3LA87AA#ABA, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz, (2) 8GB 859B 2400MHz, system board 843B 00. What Rip Jaw ram modules will work in my desktop PC? Or is their a more dependable brand?
any ram you buy is more dependable than what you have in there right now
so dont worry about brand too much
might wanna make sure that system supports 16gb dimms, some OEM boards like to do funky things like that
HP claims that it will support 32gb RAM
32gb in 4x8gb or 2x16?
or does the board only have 2 dimm slots
oh yep, only 2 dimm slots
Board has 2 slots, so I will need 2x16.
tada
it is temporarily oos, but more are gonna be shipped out soon
so, 90 bux if your willing to wait
Thanks, but that board does not have any reviews, and so far I have narrowed down several, from many bad reviews. Is this one a brand new design?
NO hurry!
are you talking about the ram?
whats board
either way, its a new chinese brand, but its just as reliable as most other available options
its literally pcb and either samsung or hynix dies
plus an unnecessary heat spreader to make it look cool
if its gonna fail, it will fail soon after purchase while still being under warranty, so there really is nothing to worry about
Module, DIMM or whatever, a computer expert, I am not. Thanks for the help
i can hear it
dont they have a bot @fast dust
true
So don't do it
but cant you type out how many messages you want to delete
or does that not work with mee6
And you want to count that?
You sent the messages you can go delete them
well
do i encompass all the messages, no
i dont mind
but i also got a class rn
so itll have to wait
oh where did it go, i was ab to do it
My friend needs help with getting a pcpp list he's debating whether or not to get a $600 build or a $1000 build can anymore make me 2 separate lists to show him?
Total after
ok
So basically a $500 and $900 build
Ok bet
Lol no
before tax
Ok thanks
ill try and keep to 900 this time
@errant berry theres a better list
Ok np
probably
3100 and 1650s
no gpu
no rx 570
Ok
lemme do the 900 now
Ok
yup
i like to keep making builds like that so i can get better at it
you can
itll save a little
Lol yea pretty good builds thanks
thanks
just get a 2060 or a 5600xt instead of 1660ti
its around 300$
oh thats not bad
i definitely would have put that if i knew lol
i just assumed it was near the super
i dont see much people with the base 2060 anways
Can anyone help me out I just got new fans for my pc and I need a usb 2.09 port for the hub and I don’t know where one is. I have the msi b450 tomahawk thanks.
yeah i was just looking for that pic to share lol
Ok thanks
my build is a 2080 ti 3700X 36gb 3600 cl16 but im on a b450 should i go for a b550 or x570 im going asus rog strix btw
i do editing for different youtubers
honestly both boards are fine... The x570 boards have just some more features than the b550
oh thanks
x570 has pcie gen 4 so that will give you far more upgradability in the future
oh
while b550 has pcie gen 3
ill maybe go for 570 ngl
also has more usb controllers
yeah im going for the x570 then
Does anyone know what software to use for thermaltake fans
its £50
@hard wraith for rgb? or actually controlling the fans?
Both
I believe the fan curve settings should be in your bios
this might be the software but not exactly sure as I have never owned anything thermaltake
I downloaded that but this comes up
ill just go with the 550
@little osprey either way they are both great boards
huh @hard wraith interesting but not sure how to fix that one
maybe someone else here knows
Oh ok
what the difference between the E and F
both are a waste of money tbh
because you cant afford it ?
because the features they give over other boards doesnt justify the cost
by extra features I mean none
meaning you just pay for the brand
lol someones heated
maybe he has an all asus rog build
yeah
well i have a gigabyte card but well
i like a little bit of rgb even if my pc is full of 140mm noctua fans lol
in any case, the E has slightly better VRMs, 2 digit LED debug display, one more PCIe x16 port, SLI support, WiFi, and a 3.1 header
lotta boards with that stuff for cheaper
bruh im not having my pc looks ass lol
sli support is nice so now he can have his gtx 680s in sli
lol
imagine spending so much money on a pc then doing dumb sli with old cards
o ur talking gpus
lol
I mean I think they said rumored to be like 40% faster than last gen
or something like that
50% raw perf increase just like all other generations basically
or 30% average perf increase
I'd guess
I like how the founders edition 3090 looks
what does it look like
cool fan design and wonder how well it will be against aftermarket gpu coolers
has a fan on the back
yes
with the 3090
wow
that would bend so bad
yeah there would be so much sag
That's the RTX GTX 3090Ti Super
RTX GTX 3095 TI Super SC XC OC gaming
dont even think it would fit in a case
it can if you try hard enough
like have it poking out the front of the case
custom case
when is the 3000 coming out?
announcement in 7 days
september. a week
i would personally enjoy the heck out of things IF nvidia does NOT announcement the 3000 series on the 1st of september
and instead tells people to come back a week or two later
lol
there would be riots
better luck next time
because i am fairly certain we could supply enough salt for the world from just this channel alone
lmao
I mean League does that quite well tbh
League would be shivering in fear at the salt output from this single event @cursive wharf
League is more of a constant low supply
what should i do with my old pc ? its go a 1060 i7 2600 16gb 1333 ram
sell the parts
sell it for cash
how much would i get tho
clean it up, add RGB fans, and upsell it
lol
add rgb
Got it working
it will double ur price
ME: puts 6 ll120 fans in it BUYER; omg £500 bargin
bruh moment
that gpu on a angle lmao
is there any fan that is 120mm, 3pack, rgb that can control with aura sync and really good?
already have those
witch ones..
the black one
i'm pretty happy with it. i don't control it via motherboard, i use the built in controller
cant find the nice 3 pack version for cheap, but 5 pack for $40
https://www.amazon.com/upHere-Addressable-Motherboard-Adjustable-Controller/dp/B07VTLV8YJ/ref=sr_1_23?dchild=1
but solid airflow, RGB's are clean/bright
this or amd stock cooler ?
lol cheap rgb
and? it works well and looks good
looks good
there probably dont sound good
He doesnt like rgb
expensive =/= quality
i'm using them in a mid tower case
learn that for ROG
did you turn the fan on lmao
solid airflow, remote controllable RGB
$64 for the set on newegg, 3 fans, hub, remote all included
lol
not bad
Hi I'm getting a PC and I'm getting a 10700k with a d15 air cooler. I'm probably going to overclock a bit.
What's a good airflow case that will keep things cool without having to ad fans?
I'd go for upHere or EzDIY tbh, bit cheaper and still decent perf
mine cost £120 for 4 140mm fans
what you are looking for and what you are saying are logically at odds with each other @little osprey
should i buy this one?
cant link until lvl3
@stray token you cannot post links until you get rank3
lol
kk
What do you mean
remove the https @stray token
didn't know that
!rank
Akumatie, that command is disabled in this channel.
oh
www.newegg.ca/p/2BJ-0076-00010?Description=VORTEX RGB&cm_re=VORTEX_RGB--2BJ-0076-00010--Product
@little osprey by your own statement, you are going to be OC'ing. Then looking for a case that can cool it in stock config ..... <- that just seems a bit counterproductive.
level 5 wow
cad
yea
still kinda pricy compared to upHere
Well I figured a d15 and a case with good airflow would be enough to keep it cool whole OCing (a bit morning extreme)
Nothing*
This is wrong?
there is nothing wrong in that version of the statement :)
the first one was just a bit ... weird :)
Naed can you please change your discord photo you look like a noob
Ok that's good
@wary geode no
-_-
That's Naed's pride right there
the profile picture does not matter one bit, so i dont see a point in having one.
@stray token get this instead
https://www.amazon.ca/upHere-Quiet-Airflow-120mm-SR12-07-5/dp/B087FX84RL/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1
what do you mean 6 more days
So any idea for a good case? I can't make up my mind between a meshify c and a p500a
elaborate @cursive wharf ? (i am curious)
p500 is godly i got that
i think he means the comment before that
the pride one @cursive wharf
too big is preference, its a normal atx case size
Yeah. And if I want to OC and keep things cool a less cramped case can't hurt
I see default pics as you now Naed. Half the time I see some default pic I am reminded of you tbh due to the fact they are so rare
why can my case not fit a 144mm at the back rip
So default pic is kinda your symbol now in my eyes
cause they dont make a 144mm fan :v
ffs 140mm
ah, fair enough, i can live with that @cursive wharf :)
I guess I'll stick with the p500a
Nice and spacious for the d15 airflow
if u mean a 140mm probably bc it didnt fit due to the width or something
Gray default = good naed
@warped pendant that looks like an interesting build. Would personally go with something that dampens the light output thou. But that is ofc personal preference :)
anyone know how to make this APU build cheaper without majorly affecting it's performance?
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor-$148.99
Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard-$109.99
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 CL16 Memory-$30.99
Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive-$59.99
NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case- $69.00
Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit-$108.78
@magic drum Very easy, win 10 key for 3$, cheaper case like a mx330-g for 50$
How about you get a 9100f and motherboard for 150 and buy a used 970 please
And what he said
And get more ram not one stick please
You were missing a PSU in that list btw, here's a 500$ list + 50$ PSU @magic drum
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/29WDBZ
much better perf I'd say
Windows 10 key is the thing you use to actually activate windows, you can download and install windows without activating it, but some things are disabled
Do you have a Mirco center
Microcenter is a good place to go for deals if you live near one
Thanks
You can build a 13 10100 system if you have one
yea i3 10100 is really cheap at MC rn at like 50$ iirc
you could build a better computer than an apu system for $500
that build I sent was 3100+1650s
no I dont have one near me:(
thats pretty good... for $500? @stoic island
like 2-3 hours away
not bad
is the 3100 in stock tho
is the 3100 a good APU?
more perf for the price
it's not an APU
its not an apu
dedicated graphics card
Ah, but is the other stuff compatable with an apu?
its compatible with everything
Yes
Just a example of how big the difference is :
https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/Radeon-Vega-11-vs-GeForce-GTX-1650-SUPER/4136vs4167
and only really for like office use
also the ryzen 3 3100 comes with a cpu cooler
yes
thats a lot more horses for a better price
not a fan of that single fan 1650 super tho
would suggest twin fan atleast
it works
true
is there a smaller case in that price range that he could use?
because its all microatx stuff hes got
i was gonna suggest darkflash cases but they're like $60 and don't come with fans so nvm lol
well for a few dollars more he could get the coolermaster MB320l
that comes with 2 fans
so that one has fans, but the other one doesn't?
the cougar comes with 1 fan I think
lol I think I was gonna buy that one and bought the wrong one
Cougar has those like perma gone pci brackets
still like the mb320l tho
btw now that's a fancy url
indeed
ok so the coolermaster is probs the way to go
311L ya
mesh one is better
but when you get it id suggest moving the top fan to the back
cougar MX-331 mesh G, comes with an RGB fan in the rear, and 3 RGB strips in the front, controllable by the reset button
and tempered glass
and i got mine for $50
but fans
¯_(ツ)_/¯
the mx330 aero or whatever can actually be prety nice
I think it comes with 3 fans at like 65$
https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=932&area=en#fgo-top <- hmm ... interesting, kinda.
SilverStone has made another breakthrough towards setting a higher benchmark for small form factor cases, by challenging and pushing the limits of its predecessors, we’d like to introduce the new SUGO 14 and SUGO 15.
The thought process behind the design of SUGO 14 and SUGO ...
can buy one lol
ahh the mx331 mesh G is up to 60 now
It's out of stock
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811553054
it was 50 when i got mine
@foggy hazel thats cool like a home theater type case
That reminds me of something naed
@ripe wedge wtf you on about P12 is usually like 7$
it reminds you of the SG12 or the node304 @stoic island
lol idk i dont look at fan prices often @stoic island
if you're near a fry's, they'll ship for free - https://www.frys.com/product/10034001
@stoic island I will definitely save your build for later, but it will still be a bit before I can afford it.
or they might ship nationwide, i forget
of course
@magic drum come again when you can afford it, the market fluctuates
no idea why it comes up as a gif, but it's fry's so 🤷
yeah totaly, I will definitely keep looking at parts
either way, i got one for my threadripper build and it's solid. plenty of airflow, lots of room to build in, cable management was easy
its a solid pc tho what mr1111 has put together
the apu one you showed earlier isnt as great
yeah the gpu and cpu vs. apu is a big difference, I was just talking about budget gaming and had APUs suggested to me
Yea nowadays with decent CPUs becoming cheaper, and good GPUs becoming cheaper, pure APUs are slowly getting phased out
oh do they not now? I had no idea.
as in standalone APUs
Consoles technically have APUs but have like different chips just soldered on afaik
xbox and playstation are custom
didnt even realize I was in build chat. thought this was general
whatever, it has to do with PC stuff :P
yeah my question was about a build, so I thought this would be where I should post it
yea
Will a 500w psu support a rtx 2060 and a ryzen 5 3600
@stoic island Just curious what build do you have right now?
@little leaf thermaltake smart 500w
What should I use
Me? 3800x+og 2070
Nice
kinda weird build
It's my first build so I'm still learning
but it's got really nice everything
4600 and 3070
is there any changes i can make to my pc list? or any recommendations? (can i dm you pcpart list)
send list without https
and for the graphics card im waiting for the new 3000 series
Anything you own already?
i have the 9700k and ram
not yet, but im trying to do the whole white theme
How do I get my link to stay?
so i understand i will have to pay more for it
I wouldn't make a white build atm if I was you
it's not just about like 30$ extra for white stuff
send without https
Ty
the aesthetic tax
Stuff are just out of stock
i would say just for mobo+gpu its a decent more, rest is usually iust slightly more
Can anyone give a look at this and give recs.
I'm just waiting on new AMD CPU and GPU
ive kinda put the whole white cost into my budget
can we pin something like that cause its kinda confusing for people
Sorry lol
I'll make a reference list with parts disregarding color for now
We'll get colors in a bit
i already planned on getting that mobo cpu combo plus i got the cpu for 250
Well, my job here is to destroy your hopes and dreams :D
but anyways way overpriced mobo
lmao i appreciate teh help
oh wait misread, thought it was 280$ lol, 180$ is decent
im in no rush to build it, kinda hoping to get alot of it on sale
Lemme know what you think of the list mr1111
give me a bit, making a reference list for chainsmoker rq
All good man ty!
@shadow whale ended up with a fairly white build considering I didn't pay attention to that lol, but here, with a 699$ temp price tag placed in for the 3070
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PRRJYH
699$ is worst case scenerio imo, leaks say 599$ so far, but just in case.
@rocky wren so uh, where's the CPU and GPU?
this is the list you sent me
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LbzMRk
will 750w psu be enough for the new 30 series? i read something about them requiring 850 min or is that only for the 3090?
Just a leak
w a i t
they had a discussion about 20min ago in #cases-psu-and-cooling if you want to take a look
and i did plan on overclocking the cpu will the noctua be able to handle it?

@stoic island waiting for rdna2 and ryzen 4000
uhh, it's not a good idea to buy parts separately, you should buy them all at once, just gonna warn you.
Best to slap something in as placeholders at least, we have no idea on the performance on Zen 3 or RDNA2 cards
yeah you can run into doa issues if you buy far apart
We don't have concrete data yet, we don't have a release date, or an announcement date
Nvidia at least we know the announcement is in 7 days
@stoic island not planning to buy it all rn but that's definitely what I'll be using and if they are shut ill pick up a 3600 and 5700xt
(Nothing against AMD, but Nvidia has at least given us smth)
I think amd is trying to keep it close to the chest till Nvidia releases
well, its the other way around imo @rocky wren
And also, market fluctuates heavily, so once you wait that (let's say 2 months until launch), prices could've dropped drastically, and you just have buyer's remorse on your hands
this announcement from nvidia was/is intended to come BEFORE amd can talk about the RDNA2 stuff, because we know it is in the upcoming consoles.
@foggy hazel I just said that tho
notice the "can" part.
@stoic island yea but I'm definitely buying the case and the PSU for the build I can hold on the rest but I doubt the case will really go on sale. And I don't feel like getting burned on PSU shortages again
The point is, to quote Naed's current favorite word,
The thing about buying parts apart is that you don't have a way to test them
and is that isnt clear enough, then lets phrase it like this:
so if you bought a PSU, it came DoA, and you don't notice until you actually build, you can only hope for the RMA to take less than a month
I'd be able to test everything except the mobo which I wouldn't buy yet
"I think amd is trying to keep it close to the chest till Nvidia releases" <- no, because they dont currently have the option of speaking even IF they wanted to.
